That Dog isn’t dead, capcom pulled a bait and switch

ashley wears skorts because capcom really doesn’t want pantyshots at all now, sad!

ashley’s ears are not visible at all at any point that I’ve seen so far

spinels are now a currency for #rare #blessed items and weapon attachments(no more buying stocks)

also the laser sight is an attachment for the base handgun and punisher only

there’s quests(they reward you with spinels)

it’s... actually pretty faithful to the design of the village, just things placed differently here and there, certain areas melded together, the way you traverse some being reversed

the merchant sounds AWFUL

luis sounds and looks AWFUL

mendez sounds kinda eh

you can sell keys that no longer have any use after using them up

the +1 mechanic aka round in the chamber only seems to function for the regular base handgun and no other gun, no idea why

the sniper scope, hilariously, is just an acog now so you have this tiny 4x32 optic on your springfield and it looks VERY silly

Sharing Freedom with a Visitor from Germany

In my day job I experience a lot of visitors from outside of the United States. Recently I had a colleague visiting here from Germany and he wanted to go to a range to rent and shoot some firearms. In many countries such as Germany this is mostly impossible, so when people visit here, they often times look for a taste of this freedom. Having access to a private range and a relatively decent sized collection of firearms, I suggested that he come with me and I’ll give him the best range day I could muster. Being new to firearms, I ensured that some basic safety training was given and then we set up for a day of fun at the range.

Since I wasn’t exactly sure as to what my visitor was interested in shooting, I brought him by the house and let him take a look at some options. Mostly long guns a pistol and some subguns were picked out for our day at the range along with one of my M1 Garands. I believe he wanted to shoot a bunch of stuff, but there’s only so much time in an afternoon and of course only so much ammo to go around. I geared him up with some Brownells electronic ear pro and safety glasses. We started out shooting my suppressed rimfire SBR. This is an excellent option for a new shooter since it’s quiet and has no recoil…and on top of that it’s easy to get hits on target and have some fun. Afterwards we moved onto the 2 subguns I brought along, my B&T GHM9C SBR and my AP5(MP5 clone) SBR. Both were originally purchased through Brownells and were set up with Rugged Obsidian suppressors. I was curious as to which one he’d prefer and to my surprise he preferred the GHM9C because it gave more feedback to the shooter. After which he got to shoot a few magazines through my G17 build using a customized frame and Brownells PVD bronze slide. He commented that it was much harder to get hits using a handgun, but after a few magazines he was getting hits 99% of the time on steel targets.

Then it was time to up the calibers used. He shot some rounds through my Beretta 1301 Tactical shotgun and commented on the recoil. My Draco AK SBR got a chance and he said it was on another level. Definitely more recoil than the subguns, but easy to aim and get solid hits on steel. After some shooting closer in, we moved back towards 100 yards where we brought out the long guns. I brought an M1 Garand which was by far the toughest for him to get solid hits with, but he had fun shooting a weapon made in December of 1944. The Aero Precision AR10 in 6.5 Creedmoor made life too easy…solid hits with every pull of the trigger was the name of the game with this precision rifle. At the end we finished up with my Colt M16A4 clone build…he wanted to shoot something similar to the current armed forces. Topped off with a 4x32 ACOG and a soft recoil, hits were more than easy with this rifle.

At the end of the day my colleague had a literal blast shooting and truly appreciated getting to experience some of the freedoms we have here in the U.S. As a token I sent him home with a new set of Brownells ear pro. He thought these worked exceptionally good and wanted a set for home on his farm.

Spotting Scope Numbers: What do they mean?

Let's talk about spotting scope numbers. Ever wondered what they mean? I did too, when I was a beginner. Take a spotting scope with 20-60x80 written on it. 

Example: 20-60x80

20-60 is the Magnification range The first set of numbers (20-60) represents the magnification range. This means you can adjust the zoom from 20 to 60 times closer than your naked eye. It's like having superhuman vision! - Everything seen through the spotting scope will appear 20-60 times larger than with the naked eye. When it comes to magnification, there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. What's considered "good" really depends on what you're using the scope for.  - Birdwatchers might prefer a lower magnification for a wider field of view. - Hunters might want a higher magnification to spot animals from a distance. 80 is the Objective Lens Size The number after the 'x,' in this case, 80, represents the diameter of the objective lens in millimeters.  A larger objective lens lets in more light, giving you clearer and brighter images, especially in low-light conditions. 

Example: 4x32

4 is the Magnification Just like above, the number before the X is the magnification range.  - In this case, there is no range. The magnification is a fixed 4 times zoom.  - The magnification is not adjustable; everything viewed through the scope will be 4 times closer than with the naked eye. 32 is the Objective Lens Size The number after the X is always the objective lens diameter in millimeters. In this case, 32mm. 

Magnification

What range to get? - Bird watching: A spotting scope with a magnification range of 20-60X is perfect. This range offers enough detail for most birding situations. - Hunter/Shooter: Depends on the distance of the target. For targets at 100 yards, a magnification of 20-40X is sufficient. But if you're spotting targets/animals at greater distances, you'll want a scope that can go up to 60X. - General use: 15-60X is a good range. This gives you the flexibility to spot details at various distances. Higher magnification isn't always better. As the magnification increases, the image quality can degrade, especially if the scope isn't expensive like a Swarovski.

Objective Lens Diameter

The objective lens diameter is the size of the front lens on a spotting scope. This lens captures light, and a larger lens can capture more light.  Most spotting scopes have an objective lens ranging from 50mm to 80mm.  The size you choose depends on what you're using the scope for and the conditions in which you'll be using it. - Bird Watcher: A spotting scope with an objective lens size of 60-70mm is optimal for bird watchers. It provides a good balance between brightness, clarity, and portability. - Hunter/Shooter: If you're a hunter or shooter who needs a clear view in varying light conditions, a larger objective lens (65-85mm) is a better choice. Remember, though, these scopes can be heavier, so if weight is a concern, you may want to stick to a 60-65mm lens. - Other Uses: A smaller objective lens (50-60mm) will work for casual nature observation or if portability is a primary concern. They're lighter and easier to carry but might not perform as well in low-light conditions.

So, understanding spotting scope numbers will help you choose the right scope for your needs.  Whether you're birdwatching, hunting, or just exploring, knowing how to read these numbers will make everything much easier. There are a few more key terms you need to know: field of view, eye relief, and exit pupil. https://www.cvlife.com/collections/riflescope    Just got this and so far im dang impressed. Scope is compact (much shorter than my bsa 4x32 on my springer) and relatively light weight. I got it to go on a wildfire pcp so it hopefully will fit nicely with that pellet rifles capabilities. Mine came well packaged but no instructions. Batteries were still good but points off for neither the laser or the reticle having polatity indicators. (Yea I guessed wrong both times). I know a little bit about scopes so i was able to figure out all the bells and whistles. My reticle switch is reversed (red turns on the green and vice versa). Came with both mount sizes but i wish they had made rail screw the same thread so you can reuse the nice hefty knobs on the 20mm mount with the 11mm mount. Lens covers are ok. Like that they are bunjee teathered but mine are scratched up a bit. My laser came nearly perfectly zeroed to the crosshairs so nice touch there. Mine does have some paralex but not horrible. While not perfect for the price this is a lot of scope. Time will tell how it does on the rifle. Update. Still 4 stars. This has horribly sbort eye relief. The Benny wildfire has a the rail mounts more forward on the reciever and even with this scope mounted to the absolute rear im still a good 1 to 2 inches shy of a good view. Moving my head forward is awkward but the several dead squirrelz, chipmunks, and starling all rell me that the scope holds well. I ordered a rail extention so that will hopefully give me a more comfortable shooting position. I have a Hatsan AT44 on the way so this scope may move to that rifle instead as the wildfire is really more of a plinker and could probably do with a much simplier scope. I did run into on time when the lighted reticle would not turn on. I thought maybe a dead battery but when I went back latter to change it everything was working fine. It hasnt done that again. Still impressed with what I got.
