what i have to do | batgirl (2000) #3–5
[ID: four photos to draw loose parallels. In the first one, from Batgirl #3, Bruce Wayne is talking to Cassandra Cain as they're both in their respective costumes. He looks away from her as he struggles to explain the mutual drive they share about protecting anyone's life. “I.. don't quite know how to say this. You and I... With what we do... What's at stake... We can't fail. Others... Don't understand, but even if it's impossible, we still... have to succeed.” He turns to look at her and sighs, “You can't understand a word I'm saying, can you.” She simply replies, “No.”
The second photo is from Batgirl #4 after Cass had her brain altered without her consent by a man with psychic powers. Now, she's able to understand English and think in it, despite being unable to speak it yet. She slowly muses, ‘So I can... Hear myself... Think. And I can... Understand you. Thinking or talking. All the words... make sense now.’
The third and forth photos are from Batgirl #5. In them, Cass has stopped the man from getting shot and killed but the criminal still fired their gun. We see the bullet hole is dangerously close to the cowering man. He rushes to thank her and explain what happened but Cass continues to stare at the hole in the wall. Despite her cowl, we can see she's obviously distressed at not being able to protect the man's life even more securely. Her mind goes to the worst case scenario as she blames herself despite it being due to her ability to read body language has been taken from her. She gravely thinks, ‘Inches. Missed him by inches. Inches away from dying. Because I couldn't do what I do.’ END ID]

My new OC Syd for Favor!! Finally I finished them :') it only took me like 2 months to figure out what they'd look like
Syd and Z are kinda similar, though Syd is a more toned down version of Z and far more introverted. Like, they are totally down for some arson on a house if a terrible person lived there, but not casually commiting it lol. They're not a perfect person by any means and Z probablly digs the little bit of chaos
Syd probably believes Z to be a demon pretty early on and in fact thinks it makes him way cooler. Also once they figure out Z has wings and all that, they probably beg him to let them paint him (Z will in fact probably tease them about "painting him like one of their French girls" and "being into *that* stuff" but Syd will pester nonetheless because ART)
They also love how cocky he is, because they dish him teases and flirty comments right back even before romantically liking him. Z also likes how Syd steals rescues animals from bad homes and cares for them uwu
Anyways these two are a power couple once they get together and will probably be wanted in 15 countries for tomfoolery and being general menaces to society
Favor and Z belong to @concreteparasite @favorvn!!

doesn't it bother u that as someone who has the means to provide a certain level of representation (through ur art or writing) for other lesbians or queer women, u always choose to write/do art of mostly m/f couples...?
its probably all the comphet that got beat into me as a child my good dude lmao
nah realistically i have noticed it myself but like. male characters in games with romance are typically more well written or interesting than the female characters which is just. you know. the unfortunate way things line up
that being said, i have a list about 20+ characters long of my favorite Interactive Fiction characters and ships and they are all. like. nonbinary characters lol. the main couple of my novel i'm working on is also a woman and a nonbinary person so. ya know.
unless nonbinary people dont count for you?
in which case. sucks to be u i guess but most of my ships outside of AAA games are f/nb lmao
also i don't owe anyone anything and bi women who date men exist and also deserve representation just as much as the rest of us~

obsessed, btw, with the dynamic my lil guys have going on, which is "I will fight for you. I will die for you. I put my life on the line for you on the daily. You want someone dead, just say the word and I'm there. Anything you could possibly need I will give to you. No I won't tell you my real name or where I'm from. What are you, a cop?"

Kay so, I recently completed Persona 5 Royal Edition -thank you Atlus for porting it to the series X!- and I’ve recently started the New Game Plus. And... to me... *none* of the Phantom Thieves are straight. Descending in order...
Joker/Akira/Ren: Bi BI BI BI BI! Like his interactions with Akechi, no way is this boy straight
Ryuji: Demisexual and trans, not willing to get involved with anyone unless he knows them super well. Loyalty is a huge thing to him.
Ann, lesbian and ace. In love with Shiho. Triple the reason for her to hate Kamoshida’s perving.
Morgana: AroAce. Dude thinks he’s in love with his Lady Ann as that’s what he thinks normal humans should be like, attracted to pretty girls.
Yusuke: Ace, and genderfluid. Just like the Inari from the myths!
Makoto, LGBTQ but not really sure of her label and doesn’t really care
Futaba, def bi and above gender with no real preferred pronouns as per her comments to some of the other girls. Nor did she really seem to care Medjed was the name of a male god.
Haru: Pansexual, attracted to personalities like Ren and Ryuji’s. Sweet, incredibly loyal people who care for her as a person, not the Okumura heiress.
Goro: Super gay for Joker, but soooooooo super in denial
Sumire, pan again, and utterly in love with her Senpai.

Review: Make You Mine This Christmas by Lizzie Huxley-Jones
Rating: 5/5
When Haf (pronounced like hav) meets Christopher at a Christmas party, she's not expecting to leave with a fake boyfriend. And she's definitely not expecting to end up spending Christmas with him and his family, including his striking sister, Kit. Caught between a rock and a hard place, Haf must figure out how to help Christopher through the holidays while keeping her crush on Kit in her pants.
This is the chaotic wlw Christmas romance I've been looking for! Haf is the epitome of bi disaster and it was really cool to read about a character who has undiagnosed autism but the author is intentionally writing it that way! She's such a fun, kind protagonist and I loved watching her grow over the course of the novel.
Kit is an excellent love interest, too. The sour to Haf's sweet. She's snarky and sure of herself and it was so cool to see those attributes in a disabled character, especially one who is perceived as desirable and sexy. I loved that she had a mobility aid for her Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and that her symptoms and limitations actually came up and were treated respectfully by the people around her. More authors need to follow suit, please.
Christopher and Ambrose are also wonderful supporting characters. Christopher's such a high-strung nerd but in a fun way and it was delightful to see him coming out of his shell and start to stand up for himself. And Ambrose is an excellent snarky best friend (and a nonbinary fashion icon to boot!)
If you're looking for a holiday romance with a hefty dose of fun and a touch of spice, definitely add this one to the mix.
