Utility Of The Natural
Salt is something most people use each and every day and is something all consume in things we eat. Yet most people don't connect really what it looks like in it's natural form or how's it formed or where it comes from
We use these things every day yet don't have this knowledge ?? I find it something really interesting to think about. And also how one thing can have many uses. This is an example of a lamp, tea light holder, and granules. Each of these forms can be considered 'natural' but this led me to think that this can apply to many things
Tools themselves aren't necessarily one use items, many have many uses. It just depends upon how you think about utilising it

Echo
I really liked the differences of some of the bottles and was intrigued by how they would sound if I can my hands over them. This was inspired by again all the collections of glasses at the museum. I was imagining if you blew on one of them and kept the contact would the vibration keep going, kind of Like A singing bowl.
From this I loved the sound of the clink and almost echo of eachother and how they collide to make a different pitch

Reflection
I enjoyed the illumition of the bottles in a different light and the things that it highlighted such as the colour of the liquid and the different sizes and shapes of the bottles and labels
It made me think about people. How no two are the same. And though bottle and things go through the same processes of being made so do we. But not every bottle is the exact same no matter how hard it tries to be. A label is never in the exact same millimetre or some bottles may be distorted in some way. It resonated with me their individuality and how through everyone's eyes you see something different which is what I drew from how the light reflected off of them.

Reverse
I've been interested in this for a while; and it came from the app boomerang. Yet what intrigues me is the repetition of short motion and the reverse. How it suddenly stops starts and loops and I think that this could be useful in any kind of score and can be utilised in do many different ways with both movement and sound.

Slight Sound
I've always been fascinated by the small sounds of vinyl and things that go along with it. I really enjoy the mechanical sounds that incorporates putting someone on. The small miniscule sounds before the thing you want to listen to, that somehow you learn that fades into the background unless you think about it.
I really love the motion and sound that the short video picks up on.
Another things that's always interested me is how the needle sits in the groove and picks up the information to process through an amplifier to be heard. How the diamond sits snuggly into the imprinted information to lick it out. This could be an interesting way of taking it further and developing any sound or movement idea in amplification.

Reflection + Refraction
I chose these bottles after being inspired by the drinks they made at the museum; I was inspired by the colours and flavours they tried so I tried to replicate this with different coloured gin. I loved how all of the colours were different and how the light reacted with them. I choose to put them in front of my mirror which had an interesting illusion anyway and I found it interesting how it made certain colours pop or fade but also how the light from my window came into factor and shone through as well as the flash of my camera on my phone.
