Decided to wip up another Etta drawing, this time in her awakened form just like her daddy vladdy. Given her normal form (both as an adult and as a child) lean more towards Divinity's style, being sleek and tidy, I really wanted to make her ghostly awakened form more wild and creepy looking, unleashing a new side to her. Though you can see a hint of her chronian side in her, including the eye on her chest looking like a clock.

Despite how unruly this form is, she still leans towards a chaotic nature rather than evil, even if this form makes her a little more unhinged…..

User Generated Friday: 5 Years Later - The Motion Comic [Episode 4 and 5]

As of today, two more episodes of the fully-voiced 5YL Motion Comic have been released, with one more coming tomorrow!

This batch of episodes is special to me, because I got to contribute some sound design work! Specifically extraction of archive audio for certain alien-specific sound effects, like in Episode 4, Wildmutt and Stinkfly during Eon's flashbacks, as well as the Ben scream used in the scene that follows. In the following episode, I contributed a custom pack of sounds for use with Galvanic Mechamorph-based characters, such as Ben's transformation Upgrade, and the Orion Squad member GoTro, built and layered from a few different sources, as well as some extracted from the Original Series. I tried to match the vibe of the Original Series Upgrade sounds while giving 5YL's version of the species a bit of a unique identity.

It's been an honor to contribute even something this small to the legacy of 5YL, and maybe this won't be the last time I do so? Only time will tell. If any Ink Tank crew are reading this, thank you. <3

BEN 10 KEYBLADES!

TENFOLD -

A Keyblade modeled after the Omnitrix in Ben 10! This Keyblade is designed to have strong combo modifiers! The entire Keyblade is designed after the prototype Omnitrix that Ben uses throughout the series, stylized to have more black and white with accenting green instread of prodominately green, reflecting the alien designs seen in this series. The token is Heatblast.

The world logo is that of the Rust Bucket, where the Tennysons spend their time inbetween alien adventures. The name comes from Ben's power being tenfold with his 10+ different aliens. 

SCREAM STREAM - 

A Keyblade modeled after the livestreaming experience of Halloween Resurrection! This Keyblade is designed to have high thunder techniques. The hilt guard of the blade has several monitors, referencing the streaming theme of the movie, with the teeth of the blade being a recording camera, with a kitchen knife flair. The token is a pumpkin with the ear mounted recording device. 

The world logo is that of the Myers Home, where the entirety of the movie takes place. The name comes from the two major aspects of the movie: Screaming and Streaming. 

HERO TIME -

A Keyblade modeled after the Alien Force Trio from Ben 10 Alien Force. This Keyblade is designed to increase the damage of summons. The hilt of the Keyblade is designed after the recalibrated Omnitrix, representing Ben. The Shaft of the blade is designed after Kevin's Car, representing Kevin himself. The teeth of the blade is a Mana Orb, representing Gwen. The token is Swampfire.

The world logo is the now central location of Bellwood. The name comes from Ben's iconic phrase, "It's Hero Time!"

ULTIMATE PRIZE -

A Keyblade designed after the Ultimatrix of Ben 10 Ultimate Alien. This Keyblade is designed to have high strength. The hiltguard of the Keyblade is designed to represent the Ulitmatrix, the main Omnitrix seen in Ultimate Alien. This design conitinues up the shaft, ending in the Ultimatrix symbol covering the Seal. The teeth is Dagon's tentacles begin freed from said Seal. The token is that of Ultimate Swampfire.

The world Logo is Bellwood again, but with more Ultimate Humungasaur design to it. The name comes from Aggregor's search for the Ultimate Prize. 

OMNIPOTEN -

A Keyblade designed after the omniversal elements of Ben 10 Omniverse! This Keyblade is designed to have high combo modifiers. The hiltguard is designed to have the new Omnitrix wielded by current Ben combining into the prototype Omnitrix wielded by the past Ben. The shaft of the blade has some design elements from the new Omnitrix, but ends in Rook Blanko's Proto-Tool. The teeth of the blade is a stylized version of the new Omnitrix's holographic alien selection mode. The Keychain and token is that of the newest alien Feedback.

The world logo is designed after the newest addition to Bellwood, Undertown. The name came from my friend DreadCaptainClover, adding the pun of Ten to Omnipotent. 

POWER OF TEN - 

A Keyblade designed after the 2016 reboot of Ben 10! It is designed to have stronger electric attacks. The hilt of the Keybade is designed by combining the elements of the Season 2, 3 and 4/5 Omnitrixes seen in the show, with the Season 3 version appearing at the center of the hilt. The shaft of the Keyblade is designed after Ben's Go-Kart, but with elements of the Season 3 Omnitrix color scheme and a Omnitrix face plate combining elements of the Omnikix and Omni-Naut transformations. The teeth of the blade are inspired by the Omni-Enhanced transformation coming from Shockrock, using the rock design with the electrical elements forming the actual teeth. The token is the reboot's version of Heatblast.

The World Logo is the Rust Bucket, as this series again follows the Tennysons in the Rustbucket. The name comes from the ever notable fact that Ben has the power of ten different aliens. 

MULTIVERSAL HEROES - 

A Keyblade designed after the combination of Danny Phantom and Ben 10 in the fan comic by the Ink Tank, 5 Years Later! This Keyblade is designed to have more powerful transformations. The hilt guard of the Keyblade is designed after Danny's Ghost form, using the white and black design. The shaft and hilt of the blade is designed after this universes design of the Omnitrix while in Uniform mode, using the white accents to break up the black and green design. The teeth of the blade is designed after Danny's logo, with the Omnitrix shaft making the P part, and Danny's new flaming hair design making the D teeth. The token is the 5YL logo.

The World Logo is Bellwood, as the story takes place in Ben's side of the multiverse. The name comes from the fact that Danny and Ben are both Heroes in different parts of the Multiverse!

5YL Ep7 Motion Comic:

Some quick thoughts from the episode in which I found tons of affinity on. (Link to watch at the bottom of this thingy).

This episode presents a dilemma which I personally have a bit of personal fascination on. If you have a character that is all powerful, should they, or should they not ascend to godhood?

There are 3 characters I love in this world, Flash, Iron-Man (with less direct comparison in this instance), and Ben, all 3 possess the means to shape the world as they like, to exert some kind of weight onto everything else which only they can lift.

Granted Ben, through Alien X far exceeds my other two examples, but the question remains similarly.

If all 3 of these characters are heroes, shouldn't they take the reigns of the world?

Surely their judgment would spare us all, they have their hearts on the right place!

I hadn't typed this out publicly before, but dorky me actually likes to imagine many stories, including ones were my OC has some kind of access to significant power, as a fun wild card in my own stories.

Part of the fun of stories however, are challenges, and in my own, I try to maintain a sense of realism, although in such cases, I do often think to myself...

If I were in that situation, it would be seriously tempting to pull that kind of card, even if for something simple...

"Oh, character is stuck in the past with no way home except a tedious process of gathering all the resources to make a time machine to head back? Why not skip it and pull the Alien X card - or whatever OP thing for whatever example - and literally just go back home?

You were going to do it anyway... In this example the character has the knowledge to fix the problem, they simply made it easy on themselves, the faster they get back home the faster they get back to helping right? They don't have to use Alien X/OP Thing to solve the problem back home, they simply used him to return.

And as small excuses begin becoming bigger, slowly there are less reasons not to use him for everything."

I like Ben calling out "Life" as a good reason not to go through with using Alien X. That level of responsibility exceeds anything anyone should ever carry, as humans I mean. Not to mention the complete loss of reality to everyone else, would things even be "happening" at that point?

Kuro once said that he likes Ben not using him even without any deadlocks as it shows a massive sign of mental fortitude, every time he uses another transformation, he is choosing to be better.

And as contextualized in the comic, as a sign of respect for the symbol of the watch.

One head canon I like to play with is the idea that, "if Ben has full control of Alien X, perhaps as time went on he also acquires all the omnipresence that comes with it, as Belicus and Serena practically aren't involved at all, he could, like Dr. Manhattan, see it all, the whole universe as a static picture, only he doesn't retain the knowledge because it would be too much to handle".

To be honest, I always wondered how other characters would react to Ben having to full control of Alien X, true free control. Previously, they all understood the hassle that would be the arguments needed to make him work, but now?

The Hero of Heroes has always shown excellent judgment, he clearly can be trusted, why not get ahead?

Rook logically supporting the suggestion, or Kevin not understanding why freeing others of pain wouldn't be the instant choice feels right in character for me. And if I were not Ben, but alongside him, I would also feel some degree of pressure to wanting him to spare us all of anything further.

It should be evident by now that I haven't read the rest of the comic, I was actually doing so, and then I kinda dropped it haha, not out of distaste though, far from it hahaha.

I'll definitely get back into reading though, this is absolutely amazing.

Since I am known for my next gen designs, and for working on the Five Years Later motion comic, a friend suggested a should draw Vlad and Eon/Divinity's child (Etta 'Eternity' Masters) as a meme. MY FAVORITE THINGS OF 2023 🎆

So yeah.

Jujutsu Kaisen S2 is my favorite anime of the year. It gave me SatoSugu; my new fave BL yaoi OTP. Which in turn got my side blog; Queen Endless, going on here and has shown me more of a boom on here than anything before.

The Ahsoka Series gave us our Anakin Ahsoka reunion with ep 4 and 5 and God Ep 5 gave me everything I wanged and more and yeah Ezra, Thrawn, and much more showed up but TCW keeps on coming back to feed me good.

Spider-Man 2 PS5 gave me Bully Lowenthal, live action kid Ben 10 all grown up as Harry, Venom madness, and was an overall rollercoaster.

Dtoons Team Teen Cartoon Heroes Unite gave me Ben, Bloom, and Yugi all in the same episode/screenshot and yeah a congregation of cartoon and anime characters galore. Imma try to draw some inspired fanart for it soon. Hopefully.

Anigomi, making character audio x listerner content on YouTube, covering guys and gals from anime and etc. My favorite VA of theirs is Han who voices Gojo, Hawks, Dazai, Tamaki and probably more. They do commissions, they're EXPENSIVE, but their content is great and they have Patreon for the MATURE stuff so there.

Five Years Later by The Ink Tank, the Ben 10 Danny Phantom crossover webcomic turned motion comic/dub with professional VAs and we're getting the next 3 episodes coming right around the corner and it's ALL SO GOOD!

Scream 6. My favorite horror series. Which makes me sad cause Scream 7 ain't happening cause our two lead girls were fired/quit along with the director of the 6 cause of stupid BS. So reboot? It just won't be the same.

Once Upon A Studio, a homage to the House of Mouse in my opinion. The Disney crossover of all time that was wholesome and funny tied up in a bow.

The Pink Popcast is hilarious. Benji and Rizzo are great commenters/people you can vibe with well. For first time reactions to watching them react to my fave stuff is all around entertaining. Especially when they talk about musicals, Scream and Disney.
