ہواوے کے برطانیہ میں سربراہ وکٹر زینگ نے ایک بیان میں بتایا 'برطانوی حکومت کی تصدیق کے بعد ہم اپنے فائیو جی کو متعارف کرانے کے عمل کے ساتھ اپنے صارفین کے لیے کام کرنا جاری رکھ سکیں گے'۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ اس سے برطانیہ کو اس ٹیکنالوجی تک رسائی ملے گی اور ایک مسابقتی مارکیٹ کا قیام یقینی ہو سکے گا۔ برطانوی وزیراعظم کو اس حوالے سے امریکا اور کچھ کنزرویٹیو اراکین پارلیمان کے دباﺅ کا سامنا تھا جو چینی کمپنی پر پابندی کے خواہشمند تھے۔ ٹرمپ انتظامیہ کے ایک عہدیدار نے کہا ہے کہ اس فیصلے سے امریکا کو مایوسی ہوئی ہے۔ چینی حکومت نے برطانیہ کو خبردار کیا تھا کہ اگر کمپنی پر پابندی عائد کی گئی تو دیگر تجارتی اور سرمایہ کاری کے منصوبوں پر سخت ردعمل کا اظہار ہو سکتا ہے۔

برطانیہ میں کام کرنے والے 4 میں سے 3 موبائل نیٹ ورکس نے پہلے ہی ہواوے کی فائیو جی مصنوعات کی تنصیب اور استعمال کا فیصلہ کر لیا ہے۔ ہواوے کو فائیو جی نیٹ ورک کے کور یا قلب پر کام کی اجازت نہیں ہو گی۔ موبائل فون نیٹ ورک کور سے مراد وائس اور دیگر ڈیٹا ہوتا ہے جو متعدد سب نیٹ ورکس اور کمپیوٹر سرورز سے گزر کر مطلوبہ منزل تک پہنچتا ہے۔ اس کے مقابلے میں ریڈیو ایسسز نیٹ ورک کور سے مختلف سمجھا جا سکتا ہے جس میں بیس اسٹیشنز اور انٹینا شامل ہوتے ہیں جو انفرادی موبائل ڈیوائس اور کور کے درمیان تعلق فراہم کرتے ہیں۔ امریکا نے اپنی سرزمین پر ہواوے کو فائیو جی نیٹ ورکس متعارف کرانے سے روک دیا تھا اور اس حوالے سے سیکیورٹی خدشات ظاہر کیے تھے کہ کمپنی کو چینی حکومت کنٹرول کر رہی ہے، جس کی ہواوے نے مسلسل تردید کی۔

امریکی حکومت کے خیال میں ہواوے انفراسٹرکچر سے چینی حکومت کو جاسوسی اور تباہی پھیلانے کے مواقع ملیں گے اور یہی وجہ ہے کہ 2012 سے امریکا میں ہواوے ٹیلی کام آلات کے استعمال پر پابندی ہے، جبکہ آسٹریلیا اور نیوزی لینڈ نے بھی ہواوے کے 5 جی موبائل نیٹ ورک کے آلات کی سپلائی پر پابندی عائد کر رکھی ہے۔ مگر 2018 میں ہواوے کے بارے میں امریکی اقدامات میں شدت دیکھنے میں اس وقت آئی جب ٹرمپ انتظامیہ نے مختلف کمپنیوں جیسے اے ٹی اینڈ ٹی اور دیگر کو ہواوے فونز کی ڈیل سے روک دیا گیا جبکہ گزشتہ سال مئی میں ہواوے کو امریکی صدر نے بین کر دیا تھا۔ امریکا کی جانب سے برطانیہ پر بھی زور ڈالا گیا بلکہ دھمکایا گیا کہ اگر اس نے ہواوے سے معاہدہ کیا تو دونوں ممالک کے درمیان انٹیلی جنس شیئرنگ کو محدود کیا جا سکتا ہے۔

دوسری جانب برطانوی حکام نے نشاندہی کی کہ امریکا کے برعکس برطانیہ ہواوے ٹیکنالوجی کو اپنے سسٹمز میں گزشتہ 15 سال سے استعمال کر رہا ہے۔ برطانیہ کے سیکیورٹی اداروں کا ماننا ہے کہ وہ اب تک اس حوالے سے خطرے کو قابو میں رکھنے میں کامیاب رہے ہیں اور وہ فائیو جی نیٹ ورک کے حوالے سے بھی ایسا کرنے کے قابل ہیں۔ فائیو جی ٹیکنالوجی کو اب تک کئی ممالک میں متعارف کرایا جا چکا ہے جو کہ مستقبل کی ٹیکنالوجیز جیسے خودکار ڈرائیونگ کی صلاحیت رکھنے والی گاڑیوں اور دیگر کے لیے انتہائی اہم پیشرفت قرار دی جارہی ہے۔
