The first card to come out was the 6 of Potions, which is basically the 6 of Cups in this deck. This suggests to me that TF has pleasant memories with you.

The second card to come out was 10 of Candles, which is basically the 10 of Wands in this deck. This suggests that there have also been some difficult times between the two of you, since this card is often associated with carrying burdens which can be frustrating.

The third card to come out was The Lovers. This does suggest that TF does see romantic potential with you, if the two of you aren't in, or haven't had, a romantic relationship. With the 6 of Potions having come out with this, I feel like there could be a bit of childhood crush type thing as a possibility.

Under the deck was the Page of Needles, which is basically the Page of Swords in this deck. This could suggest that TF feels that you are someone who has lots of ideas and communicates these ideas. As the full moon still shines brightly in the sky as I write this, the cards show that it’s effects will still play out throughout the week, and the possibility of finding joy and happiness through connecting with other people will be the main theme this week. However, there seems to be disappointment along with this energy.

With the joyful and dreamy energy of last week’s reading, we may have committed the mistake of falling into our own illusions. Dreams are good for they are clear representations of our goals, and with their beauty they inspire us to chase them and ground them into reality, but losing ourselves in them by not appreciating our current reality is dangerous, for it can make us reject the beauty of what we already possess.

This week there’s a sense that certain job opportunities, love interests, and personal journeys are not going the way we’ve planned, leaving us with emotional turmoil, disillusionment and sadness. So we’re being asked to bring a positive outlook into our lives, and in the process reconnect with the beauty that it’s both within ourselves and in the world around us: by keeping a joyous gaze through life, we are able to turn a disappointing situation into a divine possibility.

Also, since this week there’s a big prevalence of the cups suit, there’s an emphasis on our emotions. Hello! My first tarot question I’m excited!

So the 6 of cups in reverse can speak of being stuck in the past and not letting go or something of the past still lurking. Do tailor it to your situation. The 6 of cups is represented by the sign of Scorpio (Pluto—transformation) so there’s something that needs to be addressed and changed about the past but it isn’t. Reflection is good, but still live in the present.

Also, the 6 of cups talks about childhood and feeling connected to the things that give us childlike joy. With 6 of cups reserved is there anything that you enjoyed in childhood that your guides want you to re-explore? That feeling that sparks joy?

Personally, as a reader, I like to think of 6 of cups as early roots esp since children are mainly in the image (at least in the rider Waite deck). So similar to the childhood point I made, plus the foundation of your childhood.

My tarot reading folks

How would you read 6 of cups in terms of communication/contact? I am asking because I know 6 of cups is traditionally viewed as a card of past and people from the past but what if the question was about communication with someone fairly new? (meaning IS there going to be any communication)

I see the card as a sort of exchange, a gift, a connection but all sources say it's past things ONLY. I often also see people associating it with soulmates??? But I don't want to make stuff up and give a misleading reading or sugarcoat idk.
