These pictures are in order essentially the way the house is laid out. Being in Louisiana, I'm really happy we didn't have to settle for a shotgun, since they are everywhere. This house has so much character and I am planning on painting a lot of this paneling (the colored check marks are my color ideas for each wall, but not necessarily concrete decisions yet though).
Things not pictured that should be noted!
Every single room has different paneling on the walls, and there are 3 different wood and thickness types through the house, and the kitchen has some plastic vinyl speckled wide panels on the walls. The front bedroom has a nice sized closet! It's going to be my office. The primary bedroom used to be two tiny rooms. They took a wall down and made it a big room. It has two closests similar in size, and then the wall on the left of the window is a huge full wall closet, and those are sliding doors!! In the shared dining and living space, on the other side of the wall where the refrigerator is, is a fake fireplace with "built-ins" on both sides, plus a wall A/C unit for extra air flow. There's 4 types of lighting in the shared space, and it is actually an add on top the original house. It also has a sliding glass door with a screen, and an automated storm shutter! In the covered patio area, there's a laundry room in the back, with a decent amount of extra "outside" storage space.
I'll have to take new pictures of how things are set up soon when there are fewer boxes and bags of stuff everywhere, and it's a bit more organized! Of course, these were staged photos for selling, and it was all gone when we got in here. But the blue carpet IS here, and it's gross, and I hate it, and I am getting rid of it ASAP... and the other carpet needs a real deep clean too. I can't wait to continue to tell and show everyone my ideas and share what everything looks like and how everything will turn out!

Back in early October, I went to Café Brume dans mes lunettes to have tea with a friend and talk for over two hours of cinema and kissaten, mainly.
It was really rainy and windy that day, so I had to create an outfit that would be weather appropriate. I am glad my friend and I looked like two grandmas from different times (more pictures on my Instagram post).
Outfit rundown
Skirt: vintage Ingeborg (Pink House)
Jacket: second-hand Innocent World
Blouse: vintage
Hat: modified second-hand Axes Femme
Bag: second-hand Axes Femme
Boots: old Sperry Topsider
Gloves: vintage
Wooden harp brooch: ZackZack Seiffen
Shiitake brooch: Design Festa (can't remember the artist)
Flowerpot brooch: vintage
Earrings: Dracolite
Belt: Axes Femme

My boyfriend and I, at the ages of 33 & 30, respectively... have bought our first house. 🏡🥹💖
A dream come true for us. Something we didn't think we could do at this time in our lives. But we were in a toxic duplex neighbor situation with an aggressive dog and constant loud music, and so we decided to just TRY to get a house, knowing that if it fell through, we would have to move to our parents houses and recoup the money we would've just hemorrhaged... but luckily enough, we found the perfect house for the perfect deal...
So, meet Julienne, our 65 (built 1959) year old house, and follow along as we make it... updated but still true to her history of being a 60's house. I have some great ideas, just WAIT!! 🤩😍
