Today I had the pleasure of interacting w/ this jolly SEVEN foot #Santa 🎅. While I often have the pleasure of getting to know perfect strangers within minutes; this one was one of my favorite encounters. This Kris Kringle, Kurtis, reminded me so much of my Uncle Bones. Just like Uncle Jack, who passed away 4 years ago last Thursday, Kurtis was a gentle giant. However, at 7 friggin feet tall, he made Bones seem rather small. When my boys & I were little, we dreamed that one day our Uncle Jack would get to play Santa Claus & make memories for so many. As Uncle Bones aged & his hair turned white, it filled my heart w/ joy to believe that this would be happening any winter now. I was telling Landon all about the #7footer & while we chatted it up I learned about his family and what college degrees they had, what type of work his parents did, where he grew up, how tall his family was, & about his family reunions, plus many more things. My son asked me..."Wait, how do you know all of this? I thought you just met him at the store." So, I reminded him that this happens to me on the regular. So often folks I've never seen before share stories w/ me that they often don't tell anyone else. I have a sneaking suspicion that's not the case with this character. As he, like myself doesn't seem to know a stranger & has the ability to make you feel as if you're the only person in the room. My fellow empaths and HSP's, I'm sure can relate to how many people open up to you out of nowhere. One thing that does set me apart is I'm much more extroverted than most empaths & highly sensitive persons. I'm going to blame that on my Aries sun, Leo rising & Moon , & my Sagittarius North node.🔥Also, being an only child...I had to be outgoing & approach random people otherwise I'd have had to ride every roller coaster by myself when my parents wouldn't participate on vacations. It may be out of your comfort zone, but I challenge you to be more receptive to those around you when out & about, so you don't miss #happenstance. His eyes—how they twinkled! his dimples, how merry! Lauri Markkanen had an incredible game against the Knicks on Wednesday. He led the Bulls to a 122-119 double-overtime victory with 33 points and 10 rebounds. His duel with Kristaps Porzingis was a blast to watch and it was one of the highlights of an evening full of NBA games.

Porzingis on the move?

More and more whispers are coming out that Phil Jackson and the Knicks are willing to move on from Porzingis. The real question is who has the assets and what is his value?

The Knicks sit at 8 in the upcoming draft and rumors are that they’re looking at Markkanen. A 7footer that can shoot. Phil Jackson may think that Markkanen can replace Porzingis. That would be a lot to ask for.

But what if the Knicks could get a top-5 pick to take a PG? The Celtics at 3, have plenty of assets to include to make the move. This years 3rd and a future 1st for Porzingis. The Suns, on top of their own have the 2018 and 2021 picks from Miami. The Kings have 5 and 10 in Thursday’s draft.

Imagine Vlade getting Porzingis. The Knicks get 5 & 10. Now the Knicks have 5, 8, 10.

Could the Knicks use those picks for Jonathan Issac, Markkanen, and Dennis Smith? In my opinion Issac and Smith are the two biggest boom-or-bust guys in the draft. If Issac and Smith both boom the Knicks would be in better shape to build.

What if the Knicks send him to Boston for #3 and a future pick, like the Clippers pick (or Memphis). I’m not 100% sold on the Lakers drafting Ball, if they go with Jackson the Knicks could come away with Ball. If he’s not there the Knicks could take Jackson or Tatum and Markkanen. The Celtics get Porzingis at a good price. They start him next to Hortford, Thomas, Bradey, and they’ll try to bring in Hayward. That’s a very good 5 with a deep bench.

EDIT: I do hear they want a guard. So maybe include Smart and #3 or Rosier, #3, and a lesser pick.

The Suns are guard heavy and could really use a star to pair with Booker. They can send #4 and either a future Miami pick or Eric Bledsoe. The Suns would still be a long way away but they have two young starts to build around. The Knicks could have Bledsoe and draft Markkanen and at 4 could take either the remaining best of the top 4 prospects, or Issac or Monk.

No matter what, if Phil Jackson thinks Markkanen can replace Porzingis, he may as well get another asset or two back to improve the team. Much like people have been saying about Ainge, if he was going to take who he wanted at #1 at #3, why not get back more assets.

I think fans overrate Kristaps, but I wonder how much value he has with the NBA GMs.
