By the way, gonna remind folks that trolling and harassment and making things harder for people in instances by deliberately goofing around and getting random folks killed are reportable. It's being disrespectful of others' time and play in general.

And the GMs in FFXIV respond to such reports and take them seriously.

Like, accidents happen when it comes to AOE markers for sure. People get turned around, or panic.

It's really damn obvious when a tank is chasing healers and DPS with an AOE tank buster. Multiple Times.

Standard behavior with a tank buster? Tanks move forward, everyone else moves back. Or tanks stay put while everyone else scatters.

Once? Sure, maybe the tank got turned around, and/or just kept moving in the same direction as some other folks, it happens.

Killing almost an entire Alliance party cuz you are obviously, deliberately chasing an entire group to the back of the platform that are trying to get away from you? Moving with the people in the group to catch as many as possible?

We are reporting you for trolling/harassment.

They got called out in chat for the obvious behavior, while also asking another Alliance to rez us cuz they got all but our tank and a melee, and one or two folks from the other parties, too. Had to use our LB3 on a Healer Rez when we could have used it on the boss, not to mention our DPS on the boss at all.

Just made the fight last longer for everyone for no good reason. In the brand new content folks are still learning and gearing for, too.

So yeah. Reported. Cuz it can be, and hope they enjoy the GM scolding.

Play those games with your friends, in runs that are mostly friends. Dungeons and 8man raids are a good place for it. If doing it in Alliance? Best to be a full Alliance of folks agreeing to a shenanigans run. We've had nights between pals where we try to murder each other in fun ways in raids, and have some stories of particularly legendary ones (there's a story of Eden Leviathan that's a favorite in our FC).

But even though this person was from our same world--we don't know you. So it's not cute or funny. If you don't like us--deal, it's a random Alliance raid, no one has to talk to each other, we're not in the same party, just do the job and move on with life.

Instead of getting a flag on your account as a problem. But if you get banned for such behavior over time, I'm certainly not going to cry about it.

And for the rest of you: If people are obviously, deliberately, making your instances a pain due to language, or actions that are intentionally getting you and others killed? It can be reported. Use the Support menu option and the Contact Us feature, there's options for it.

8man bcg vs max/acclaimed match went in a direction i didnt expect but i guess they want to build up for jay white vs mjf at full gear. thats fair, it is a ppv match. i think following through with the buildup to the scissor climax (lol.) would have been really really cool on its own but i guess i wouldve gotten mad seeing them lose after pulling it off, much like how the buildup and then success to caster picking up keith lee during siog vs acclaimed was incredible and then them losing fucking sucked.

caster eating a belthit similar to how adam ate that tagteam ftr move* is noble and/or romantic. there sure are a lot of people making unnecessary and unrequested sacrifices to save mjf lately. i wonder how a guy who has previously lived a life full of manipulative and/or transactional social relations would think about that

I love 8mans. I went down pretty close to the end of the fight. I thought I understood the mechanic but maybe I was supposed to use a limit break? IDK I'll have to watch a couple more videos.

The thing Ysale said at the end got me thinking though. At this point the WoL is canonically as strong as most of the primals. It would be interesting to maybe come up with like a WoL as a primal type design? Like what would Nadya look like if the people's suffering summoned her? Something to ponder.

I’m going to name my next toon DC’on’pull

I’m pretty sure my framerate dropped to 1 when we pulled the guard turrets on a guild fun run on 16man HM EV, then it kind of stuttered and I couldn’t move, so I put in discord that I was pretty sure I was dc’ing. Sure enough, game completely crashed. As I was trying to get logged back in, I heard Princess frantically saying, “no don’t pull, don’t pull, november dc’d!”

Managed to stealth down to Gharj to get the speeder up, but lagged real hard right beside the mushroom that denotes the line where you get pulled out of stealth, and next thing I knew, I was in the Gharj room, dead. Speeder was up though.

Was basically lagged out for the entire pylon fight (I think I used one ability?).

Council fight somehow went perfectly?

On the way down to Soa, one of the dps died on the second floor drop because he was still being flown around the room and very badly misjudged how far that first step was. I managed to yeet to his corpse and res him, but if sorcs hadn’t been on standby to immediately yoink both of us to the group with the instruction to “RUN, MOTHAFUCKA,” we both would have died to the platform drop.

And then my game crashed again the literal second that Soa died, and 5 people got the infinite loading screen trying to leave the ops.

FFXIV may have a real issue with benching characters that have features in trial/8man raid storylines, but that doesn’t mean I can’t disregard that and draw old Gaius with my WoL. A lot.

oh god, okay. so, i really really hate going into new content blind. gives me terrible anxiety. i’m one of those goobers who absolutely has to watch a video before i run any instance i’ve never been in before, if only for my own peace of mind.

so i queued for alliance roulette as DNC, thinking i’d get either Syrcus Tower or Lost City again for some easy tomes. instead, I get Aglaia.

Aglaia, which I thought was the new 8man raid because I don’t read patch notes or watch live letters, and wasn’t planning on running for a couple weeks until I had some time to settle into the new patch.  had no idea it was a 24 man and was in alliance roulette.

oh my god my blood pressure is so high rn. i feel so bad for the healers that pretty much had to carry me because i spent the entire 45 minutes yelling and sampling the buffet of mechanics. healers, i’m so sorry.

at least i got some new gear? lol.
