If Lestat was on 90 Day Fiance he'd have beef with his fellow cast members and everyone would accuse him of being in it just for the green card because of and in spite of Louis' shack.

I just know Danny would watch all of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs with me and pretend like he hates them but then have more and more commentary to add as he gets more invested in each couple

surely getting gnf to america would’ve been expedited had they applied to be on hit TLC reality show 90 Day Fiancé

i never understood the show 90 day fiancé because it’s not just planning a wedding in 90 days. it’s getting an s/o who lives halfway across the world to take all the preparations to move to your country, which could take ages, growing accustomed to the cultures of a country you’ve never been to, meet the family who usually dislikes the entire idea bc they know 3 months isn’t enough, and plan the wedding in such a short amount of time. along w this, the values like if someone wants kids and how to compromise so both people can live their chosen job lifestyles are rarely discussed early on, and one person is always expecting the other to give up theirs for them. it’s poor planning. it always suggests that the moment they found each other on the internet they just connected, but no serious talks about how they’d live their lives together where done before one person uprooted their entire life to live w someone else

Happy holidays! Quick question: is it number of viewers or hours watched that Netflix really cares about? I saw a figure of 219M hours watched for the Sux reality show and that keeps them in the top 10 for Netflix globally. Does Netflix think that's successful enough to put up the the irritants for a longer contract extension?
This deserves a longer discussion but I live in northern CA and am a bit traumatized by the recent storms. Assuming things don’t change with their professionalism, no, their contract is unlikely to be renewed, views or not.
At this point they have proven their value as basically being a royal TLC train wreck like 90 Day Fiancé. And like 90DF, there is no longevity to the attention they command - they’ve already dropped out of top 10 and it hasn’t even been a month. Despite having 6 episodes! You mention total view time but what do their numbers look like divided by total number of hrs of content they have? For instance if a movie has 200M hours watched but only has a run time of 2 Hrs, that means 100M were full views, either repeat or from individual one time views. If their doc has 10 hrs of run time and 200M hrs watched, that means only 20M were full views, so at most 20M ppl watched it and not 100. And let’s say that Netflix avgs 1% new user signup, you can estimate that movie A brought in 1M new users globally, and their doc brought in 200k new users. This is even more damning once you layer in cost - say the 2hr movie was a random foreign hit that only cost them $3m to acquire.
I’m making all of this up, but I do work for a competitor with its own content platform (I don’t work for the content side) and generally this is how metric analyses could work.
If they can keep pumping out the same amount of content while being paid $8k a season like 90DF participants do, then sure, but why not, but that’s not going to happen.

Not only is it a bad idea to convert to a religion just for marriage, it's a bad idea to convert to a religion you don't know a whole lot about and what you do know doesn't seem to jibe with your own values.

Naoya having to take care of Naoya Jr. all day due to his wife wanting to go with friends to lunch
this reminds me of Yara and Jovi from 90DF, especially when he has to stay with his child and asks Yara (his wife) if he has to babysit their daughter. same vibe.
Naoya managed to dominate a technique as complicated as his, he's able to predict his enemies' attacks, he's able to rise to the top of his family and be the next heir (if we ignore megumi's existence). Naoya is indeed a genius (yet stupid) and a very capable and proud man.
Naoya will study the psychology of children for days, preparing himself for this day. He will observe you and the child, take notes of what his child likes and doesn't, all in effort of being able to take care of his son for the 2 hours you will be out.
Finally the day comes, Naoya asks you to bring the kid to a room that you noticed has had a lot of the Zen'in members taking things to it. You take Naoya Jr. there and find your husband wearing a Blu Clues t-shirt, Mickey Mouse ears.
The room has 3 book shells full of kid's books, unpacked lego packages around the room, impossibly big TV that is playing Cars in 4k, teddy bears that are as a big as the child and Naoya, and many pillows lying around.
Naoya has prepared himself to be the best father, and he will not disappoint.
btw he's doing this bc the other time he had to take care of the kid, he took the child to his training and told the kid to learn from him, but his son ended up crying during the whole thing, and naoya's sister had to step in and took the child away.

here from a comment you made, sorry if that's weird..
when you where working at lil caesers, when the ac broke and the room got to 90dF, how did you keep hydrated?
thank you for your service.
(may you receive therapy at an affordable rate if not totally for free and a decent wage that reflects your needs and output)
Well luckily, we didn’t have to keep working in that temperature for more than a few hours if I remember. I don’t drink that much water in general and also don’t sweat as much as the average person, so I don’t think i have an answer for this. (I likely didn’t bother to drink water during the situation. I remember we had sodas and i would usually snatch one. I’d also sit in the freezer for a good five minutes.)
