Most underrated 9-1-1 duo ever? Bobby and Chimney. We don't see them interact enough. Like, they reminded us on season 6, Chimney is the member that has been in the 118 the longest, so (along with Hen) is the one that knows Bobby the most. He also saw him adapt to LA and starting to heal. But you know what only him saw? Bobby's breakdown in Karma's A Bitch (1x08).
For starters, it hasn't been that long since Bobby opened up to the rest. Furthermore, Chimney is not really your go-to person to have a heart to heart. He clearly doesn't know how to react or what to think when Bobby brings up his kids or killing himself, which is understandable. But he also doesn't brush it under the rug.
Chimney thinks about what Bobby said, and thinks about how to show him he's wrong. So he tracks down his blood and just makes Bobby see the good he's doing. He doesn't give him a warning because he knows Bobby wouldn't go, no, he tricks him into going to the hospital and ambushing him with this young father that is so thankful.
And Bobby sees it. He understands what Chim is saying. He starts looking at the situation differently, as he says, it's a blessing. And I just think that when someone does something like that for you, help you change the way you look at life, you form another type of bond.
Because we know that Bobby has a connection with basically everyone for one reason or another, but when you think about meaningful moments between characters theirs doesn't come to mind. Which is an oversight on our part. More than anything because this is the seed that allows Bobby to move on enough to try something with Athena. And we all know how that ended up.

It is SO HARD to pick a favorite disaster!!!! I adore the plane crash, probie buck and bobby and all of it is OUGH!!! It's so cool to watch that episode in comparison to later disasters and see how much the team dynamic has grown <3 I miss eddie when I watch the pane crash, so I think the lightning strike is another fav, even though that's more of a firefam specific disaster.

i honestly don't like S1 of 911 and i skip it every time i rewatch 911, but the scene of bobby breaking down and asking hen and buck for help is so heart wrenching that i will never emotionally recover.

I need to know the inner workings of the maneuver from 9-1-1
"I don't know. We never get that far in the story"
The fact that it's not even completed??
Did the 118 sit around the dinner table one night coming up with a story to go along with it until they all just started arguing about plot points and background info- somehow agreeing on Eiffel Tower being a code word to get ready for takedown- before the alarm went off and then they just never bothered adding more to the story??

re: tommy kinard coming back.
if you can give your mains the allowance of growth and the ability to learn and be better, then why is it so hard to believe that in a well-written show like 911, that a supporting, background character from the past can be just as nuanced, even if said growth was off screen?
make it make sense

Possible unpopular opinion: Tatiana was right not to go to the hospital after Chimney's accident and Bobby was wrong to ask her to.
