ummmmmmm.

Is this the kitchen scene yall were talking about? The scene where Buck is very obviously flirting with Eddie and Eddie is very clearly into it (and doing the same, he’s definitely flirting back). How is this real. How did some people watch that and go “yup! totally normal interaction between two bros!” ?? I am genuinely asking. Just saying, if a close female friend talked to me like Buck just did to Eddie, I would get so many butterflies, maybe even try and initiate a lil kiss. I am fully aware that Buck and Eddie have never kissed, but I was half expecting them to. You will not be able to convince me that it wasn’t flirting that just occurred.

They got verrrrry close there at the end of that kitchen talk, and then it cut to them playing a fighting game with Christopher? They’ll never beat the “gay dads” allegations, I fear.

Also, on a separate note AWAY from Buddie; I am so so proud of Buck. His insistence on apologizing correctly was kind of the bare minimum, but it was still nice to see. I am eating up his character development.

I really want to rant about Eddie too. The last couple episodes focusing on Eddie and his unhealthy coping mechanisms for his anger is so interesting to me. I think I’ll hold off on that rant though?

Ugh so many thoughts.

I’ve reached the second episode I was most anticipating- Eddie begins (not for the backstory but because I knew about the scene with buck digging in the mud)

Let me tell you I was not prepared at all for how blatantly not platonic those scenes were I mean:

Bobby telling chimney to go down because Eddie cut his wire (eventhough usually it’s a pattern of what buck doesn’t do Eddie does and what hen doesn’t do chimney does)

then buck saying “it should be me”what does that mean huh buck??

Then hen CALLING HIM OUT saying that then they’d have two cut wires (implying he can’t be rational about this)

Then when the thingy collapses you could see the moment it registers for buck? Artwork

When buck starts screaming for Eddie just irrationally and desperately digging through the mud trying to find him? Award winning I had to replay it 167283 times

BOBBY PULLING HIM AWAY AND HIM DROPPING HIS HEAD ONTO HIS LAP AND CRYING??? COME ON ITS A DOUBLE WHAMMY FOR ME, BOTH BECAUSE ITS SUCH A GOOD PSEUDO-FATHER/ SON MOMENT AND ITS SUCH A GOOD BUDDIE MOMENT

And just like all of it was SO GOOD

Like let me reiterate ALL OF THEM ARE FRIENDS /FOUND FAMILY TYPE GROUP AND YETTTTTT THESE SCENES SHOWED ONLY BUCK HAVING THIS REACTION they literally could’ve had done 1672838 things that would’ve made this platonic and they didn’t, they played it in the least platonic way- short of having buck stick his tongue down eddies throat when they found him. Actually, no, that probably would have been more straight then whatever this was

have a note for fun lil moments as i watch 9-1-1. just got to season 3

#yall i was about to go to bed. and then after this i watched the next episode AND THEN THE CLIFFHANGER???? #so fucked up. and i still havent gone to e3 cause i have ERRANDS #may grant absolutely killed her scene tho. the way she was so shocked and frozen until she heard she was alive and CRUMPLED #it felt so real. such a true depiction of how a genuinely brave and reslient teenager would act. #holding it halfway together but clearly panicking yet still more in control than MOST ppl in a situation like that #but its her first big crisis (that shes conscious for). and the second there’s a bit of relief all the emotions hit at once #and then the REAL SHIT of her being like ‘ive never done anything of note i have nothing to write college apps about’ #but as soon as you see her face afterward…the idea of her having to make this into a personal essay is literally stomach turning #911 s3 #911 #evan buckley #911 season 3 #eddie diaz #may grant #tagging her for the tag analysis cause this is my blog dammit

The tsunami arc will always be my favorite disaster. Buck and Christopher bond is so sweet and special. Buck's heroism in rescuing people shows that he truly is meant to be a firefighter. Him searching for Christopher for hours just brings home how much Eddie and Christopher have come to mean to Buck. It shows that Buck is the kind of person I want in my life, someone who would never give up on me and always has my back.

god the LAWSUIT!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYTHING about it but ESPECIALLY that fucking HUG. oh my god. like. it literally plays on a never ending loop in my mind. the way buck is smiling SO HARD and literally CURLING into eddie, trying to basically melt into him and how eddie is PUSHING HIM AWAY. i cant get over that. how he allows himself probably 30 seconds to hug buck then he's like actually putting a physical distance between them. the SYMBOLISM of that alone. jesus. they were both so hurt back then and they couldn't even talk to each other. the fact that THAT hurt eddie the most, not being able talk to buck, to see buck. "now i can't even talk to you because of it" "do you know how much christopher misses you?" bc he's always hiding behind chris when he's trying to hold back his actual feelings. god GOD im obsessed with all of it. how it was like made completely clear that what buck did hurt eddie the most. bc of course it did. "i just want you to talk to me". "whatever it takes for you to forgive me–" "i forgive you". can i just mention again: THE HUG. its simultaneously the worst and best buddie hug. i want to vomit every time i think about it. ill never stop talking about that arc. ever.

My thoughts on the scene w/ Buck in the grocery store, end of episode 5:

I just love, LOVE, that Buck was purposely at the store to talk to the whole team, but it ended up being a fucking domestic dispute between Eddie and Buck 😭 are you kidding me??

“Because you’re exhausting.” Eddie went for the JUGULAR with that one 💀

“No but he filed a stupid lawsuit, and now I can’t even talk to you because of it. You know how much Christopher misses you?” EDDIE, YOU TWO AREN’T MARRIED. WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE THAT IS YOUR WHOLE ASS HUSBAND THAT BETRAYED YOU? And then Buck looking like a kicked puppy, softening his tone?? Oh I am obsessed.

That was two husbands fighting. That was so gay. That was the gayest scene of the entire show so far, and I’ve seen Hen and Karen kiss many times. It’s even funnier that the whole team is just watching them bicker like 🧍🏻‍♂️

I literally rewinded this scene three times, turned on captions, slowed it down. I am giggling, this is probably a new top ten favorite scene.

Hen: “Someone should stop them.”

Chimney: “These two, or those two?”

I just know the rest of the 118 is tired of Buddie’s bullshit 🤭

Im rewatching the lawsuit episodes and all I have to say is that buck won for a reason. I’ll never forgive the 9-1-1 fam for not apologizing for the way they treated buck after and during the law suit. No one ever apologizes to him and I hate it.
