OKOKOKOKOKOK(spoilers???)

So heres the thing; i'm listening to the 'in the heights' movie soundtrack and i'm on 96,000 and at the very end of the song there is a whole chorus where everyone in the song keeps saying 96,00. And in like 5 times they say it and each time sounds so so desperate like they're hoping their lotto numbers are the ones that got the jackpot but it isn't any of theirs but they're still hoping and yOU CAN HEAR IT IN THEIR VOICES?!!!

I just really like the song and its one of my favorite musicals/movies..

Thinking about “96,000” from In The Heights

It’s wild to think about how much and how little money that is, functionally speaking. If I won 96k and we generously assumed I wasn’t taxed out of the ass for it, that would radically change my life. I could probably pay my way through college or pay for a few years rent on a cheap apartment. Maybe a little of both.

But also… 96k doesn’t get you very far, still. By the time the money is gone I better be at the point where I can keep regular payments up or I’m boned. And if anything happens that cuts into that 96k it could disappear real quick and leave me high and dry without a plan.

This isn’t going anywhere super deep but it’s just interesting to put into perspective on how far it’d get you.
