Hi! Saw your post about making new friends so here I am!

I’m Silvia, I’m a comparative literature student from Italy and currently working on my thesis (and by “working” I mean “crying over my laptop while I try to write a coherent sentence” 😃👍🏻)

I am kinda new but also not really to the ST fandom; LOVED the first two seasons, lost a bit of interest with the third but then… Eddie, ya know?

Besides that I don’t really know what to say to introduce myself… maybe that I love reading, astronomy, and I fall under the category “kind of heart, dumb of ass”?

Welcome to the fandom! We seem to have polar opposite opinions until it comes to Eddie, aha. I was like :/ watching season one, watching season two on 2.0x speed, absolutely adored season three and then four was also great! Think three was my fave but Eddie has my heart. I only got into watching the show at all 'cause he was all over my TikTok FYP and I fell smitten with him and the banter between Dustin and Steve :')

What if SOC 3’s pull is the idea of “one last heist”. After the previous “one last heist” ahah, anyway— it’s the heist for the thing mentioned in ROW. It’s the game changer of an impending war. I saw someone mention it might be in Shu Han because it’s the one place Leigh hasn’t explored in great detail yet.

As I haven’t read Nikolai’s duology, my information on that is limited but hey, more crows being awesome??

Here for it.

So that’s the pull but what if the real heist is to get Kaz Brekker back? To save him??? There was too much set up in the crows duology to not consider this as a possibility. This storyline as a possibility. To not consider that the team would come back without hesitation to save Kaz. It could happen before the heist or after. He could go missing and that’s the catalyst that brings them together or he could go missing after the job and that’s the catalyst to stay on mission to find him.

So I keep thinking of where the crows are now. About what Nina said before she left. No matter the time and distance, always. “Count on it Brekker”. Of Wylan and Jesper in ROW (stuff I’ve seen). Of Inej being on the high seas but still clearly in contact or tied to Kaz.

And this is what comes to mind:

Only it’s Jesper and Wylan that comes to find Inej. They sneak onto her ship as she’s giving a briefing below deck. They slip past her guards but she was the Wraith before she was a captain and the stealth skills of the former isn’t just reserved for her ship so she lets the meeting continue (as a ruse) while she organises herself. She plans to ambush the intruders with a couple of her crew.

The three of them end up giving themselves a terrible fright and Wylan almost drops the flash bomb he took out (just for emergencies) and Inej has to immediately point her crew member’s rifle down just in case he gets too nervous and pulls the trigger.

And she’s all

“JESPER LLEWELLYN FAHEY!!! What the hell, we could have shot you?!”

And Jesper goes:

“You could have tried. Doubt it would have done you any good though.”

And then the mood shifts and these two people just stare at each other before breaking into face splitting smiles. Inej moves to embrace him and sees Wylan and is excited and then adjusts and her confusion is evident because what is going on? They weren’t supposed to rendezvous for another 2 weeks? Kaz was clear that it wouldn’t be safe till then.. but wait where is Kaz??

And then Wylan tells her what Jesper can’t bring himself to say—- that’s why they broke protocol. Kaz has been taken and they can’t find him. Jesper can’t look at her anymore and she knows he feels responsible even if it isn’t his fault. It’s not.

They’re here because they need the team. They need to find him and help him. They’re sure he’s not gone off on his own job. He would have told someone. He would have told Inej. At first they thought he might come find her but all his usual protocols have not been activated or carried out or whatever —- nothing. Radio silence. He hasn’t checked in anywhere. He’s gone dark (or their storyline’s version of that). He can’t have just disappeared or walked away. He wouldn’t have. He’s in trouble.

Inej agrees. Kaz wouldn’t let go like that. Not after everything.

And SOC 3 is literally the heist for Kaz brekker. (Probably after Zoya’s job or before and maybe it involves the council of tides???) but basically that whole moment is in my head.

I feel like it would be interesting to see the team come together like that for Kaz. This whole “ okay think think/- what would kaz do”.

Now imagine the “how do you steal a man’s wallet” conversation but they all try and answer with what Kaz would say. All those moments could provide the humour.

And it would also be amazing for a character like kaz to truly accept that his found family cares deeply about him too. To realise that they’d help him, save him, put the same effort into protecting him. Kaz never shielded them from the emotionally painful stuff sure but he kept them alive (better terrible truths than kind lies). He did his best to make sure they all walked away with their future intact.

(He couldn’t do that for Matthias because Matthias’s past came back to hurt him (Curse you wayward fjerdan murder child!). I’m sure it haunts him. After Nina, he’s probably the next one to find out who did it (fjerdan murder child).)

Kaz did his best to protect them and it would be cool to see them have the plans and go save him this time.

It’d be the ultimate heist and we’d still get each character POVs.

What I don’t understand is why Serkan, knowing that he wants to break up with Eda (IF he breaks up with her), wrote her that seemingly romantic note telling her to meet him where everything started. Also, if Serkan ends things between them because he overhears Eda talking about never forgiving those responsible for her parent’s death wouldn’t breaking up with Eda also make her hate him anyway? So many questionsss

That’s why with the first trailer I thought that he originally intended on proposing but decided against it when she showed up. With the second trailer, I feel like he never actually gave her the flowers and left them somewhere and she found them and decided herself to go meet him. And in regards to her hating him if he breaks up with her, I guess to him, eda hating him for that is better than hating him for indirectly being the cause of her parents’ death??

I will say that was such a bizarre comment to get on my post; I don’t think that person even follows me, I think it was some rando who just happened upon my post and decided they needed to learn me a thing. But I’m glad you think I’m getting better! I’ve definitely noticed some improvement since I started drawing for AoS, and hopefully I’ll keep getting better as I get more confident with my drawing. And hey--it’s almost Monday again, and time for another chapter and art!

Hello! I’ve only just started to read RA because I was working on my first translation job that took SO much time, but now that I am finished with that I can finally catch up and OMG!!! I’ve read the first two chapters and I’m already in love! The atmosphere feels so REAL, like I am with the characters (who as usual are written perfectly) and not just reading about them. I also love the fact this feels like a sort of Distilla Truant AU, like “What if instead of Jess in Rory’s world we put her in his?” and honestly what a brilliant idea, YOUR MIND.

Never stop writing, you do it so so so wonderfully! Sending lots of love and good vibes your way 💖

While part of me has mentally prepared for The Snap and for one of Fitzsimmons to get hit with it, I don’t think that particular option will happen.  

Even if all those pieces fall into place Jemma being pregnant which has a decent shot at being revealed tomorrow and Fitz getting snap (has a chance but its currently low on my list as I read these interviews) my understanding and theory is that while there could be a time jump between Infinity War and Avengers 4, the Avengers are going to go all Timey Whimey and fix it so there won’t be too long of a break in time once the dust settles and the snapped people come back.

The next Spiderman Movie is his Sophomore year and I think a fair chunk of the cast is back, so not too much time could have passed otherwise his classmates would have gone on without him.  

The other thing I’ve got is in reading and listening to a lot of these interviews out over the last few days is this very nearly was the end.   The cast literally wrapped not knowing if that would be the last time they would be filming together and if these goodbyes they filmed for the characters were permanent.   I really don’t think that the writers would risk ending the show without proper closure and leaving something unanswered or on the table.  For me as a fan, leaving Fitzsimmons on that note is in no way rewarding or satisfying.  

However, if you want a good fic along this lines I highly recommend The Somebody I Want To See by @clearascountryair

Dear world, let’s start normalising happy endings. Happy middles. Being happy. Yeah sure it’s not always an all day everyday kind of thing but it does happen. So let your characters have happiness. Healing. Joy. Not realistic? Make it so! There is enough real pain in the world. Its become our norm that the thought of happiness feels like fantasy. Trauma is the constant narrative.

Let characters find happiness amidst the dark. Let them find healing. Let them find joy. Let them let love in. Allow them a chance to balance the scales every once in a while. Normalise the idea of being happy. Sure maybe not in every story but characters don’t always have to suffer for it to be good storytelling.

Lets try.

This is so hilarious to me because 1. That’s where I live! and 2. Seeing all those tourists strike the same pose is funny on its own, but imagining Fitzsimmons doing that? LMFAO! ��

Oh that’s so cool that you live there! Hopefully I don’t write anything about the city that makes you go bzuh??? LOL But yes Jemma is very insistent that she have her photo taken doing it and Fitz is very much like IT’S DUMB I’M NOT GOING TO. And that won’t be the only bickering they do that day, lol. I’m having a fun time writing this!
