More Lena noodles please! How does Lena handle the Daxamite invasion? Was Kara involved with Mon-eww in this timeline?

that’s kinda hard for me to answer because i haven’t finished season 2 yet lol but I would assume she’d still irradiate the atmosphere with lead to protect the planet if there was no other option. and personally, i wouldn’t want her involved with him, and that isn’t based on me shipping supercorp. i didn’t like how alex pushed her towards him, so maybe she backs off and lets kara take things at her own pace. i didn’t like how he talked down to kara or how he treated her, and i’d like to think that kara would recognize that hey maybe this isnt what i was hoping for it to be. i think lena, having been around a lot of less than tasteful people, and now around kara as both just kara and kara as supergirl, would also recognize what’s happening. because lbr, when your best friend starts dating someone you’re going to pay attention to that person to see what they’re like. mon-el may think what he’s doing isn’t wrong bc that’s just how he is and he wasn’t told any differently, but in the show he wasn’t corrected. which was disappointing to me bc mon-el in the comics was a good dude/superboy. we really missed out on a fun opportunity with him.

Made cancer my bitch

The first round of my chemo is done and it's gone from my lymph nodes from a combination of the therapy and surgery- they called it a lymphnodectomy but they just cut a cancerous lymphnode from my neck and I have a consultation for gene therapy and where to go next on Tuesday BUT I'm in a good mood and I'm too wired to sleep. Do y'all want a smut fic not attached to anything else for holly and Gail or finish either act of contrition or anything else y'all would like to see have another part to/ finish? Really open, let me i know. I have a forest/ like retreat idea for a one shot but I was just curious and I'm in the mood to write bc it feels like a weekend of win.

"Can we please pretend that you didn't see that and eat ice cream instead?" Supercorp

Lena smile brightly. “What do you mean?” She set the canvas bag the ice cream was in. “I didn’t see anything.”

“You did,” Kara dropped her head. She picked up the remote from the kitchen counter and turned her stereo down.

“If I did see something,” Lena slowly articulated her words as she took the ice cream out of the bag and placed it in the freezer, “Let’s just say that I’m very impressed that someone still knows all of the dance moved to Bye, Bye, Bye.”

Kara blushed and pushed her glasses up. “I used to drive Alex crazy trying to learn it. I broke one of her science fair trophies practicing.”

“All that practice paid off,” Lena closed the freezer and moved to stand in front of Kara. “You’re very good.”

Though she felt like it was a silly thing to be good at, when Lena praised her for it, she felt like NSYNC themselves had come back from boy band heaven to tell her she was doing their iconic dance justice. “Thanks.”

Lena picked up the remote and turned the music back on. “Don’t stop on my account. I’ll start making the sundaes and you keep dancing.”

I’ve been informed that it’s National String Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza Day @ragingscooter

Holly was starving.  

It had been a long shift.  A triple homicide meant three autopsies, plus doing a reconstruction of a body that had been found in approximately forty pieces meant that Holly had spent the entire day standing over an examination table.  Her back was killing her, her feet were swollen, and her knees felt like she had run a marathon.

All she wanted was to go home.  Grab some food and relax in the tub until her girlfriend finished her shift.  Maybe if she was lucky, Gail might give her a massage.

It turned out Holly was in luck because by the time she got to her townhouse, Gail wasnt far behind, and knowing how hard Holly’s day had been, Gail offered to get food while Holly took a shower.

By the time she came out, Gail was back and the delicious smell of cheese and grease awaited her.  She started to help herself while Gail grabbed a couple of beers out of the fridge.

But when Holly opened the box it wasn’t quite what she was expecting.

Holly stared at the pizza for a solid minute without saying a word.  What was supposed to be a pepperoni pie had clearly been tamped with.  If the letter I, the heart, and the letter U were any indication.  She half wondered if Gail had grabbed someone else’s pie because those were three words they hadn’t said to one another, let alone spelt out.  

Holly looked up and could see Gail nervously biting her lip.  So, it was the right pizza.

“Did you just tell me you loved me by using string cheese on a pepperoni pizza?”

“Maybe?” Gail said with a shrug.

Holly couldn’t help but smile.  “You’re insane.  You know that right?”

“It’s been mentioned before.”

“Well it bears repeating.”

Not bothering to argue, Gail reached for a slice. 

“Come on, Lunchbox, let’s eat my feelings before they get cold.”

Holly’s stomach rumbled.  “Good idea.” 

“Oh, and Gail.”  She waited for the blonde to look up at her.  “I love you too.”

Seriously. If you’re at all a fan of Gail Peck and Holly Stewart... you probably already know this fic. BUT. If you don’t, give it a read. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. It truly is amazing and the chapters are so long. Plenty of slow burn plot elements and it is so well written. 

The author isn’t on tumblr and it’s not on A03 (it is I just found it!) so I don’t think it gets much exposure or love. So give it a read and go send the author some joy. Maybe some of the faithfuls can help spread the word? @auntchappy @cotecoyotegrrrl @gail-shark @gailpeckholly @boojangs @lizheda @ragingscooter
