I call this specific brand of character "Antagonistic Yet Deeply Traumatized Child With An Affinity For Robots Who Deserved Better But Has Lost Pretty Much All Traces Of Their Former Identity And Has A Specific Male Relative They Keep Trying To Kill, And If I Think About Them Too Hard For Too Long It Makes Me Cry."

so a non-welcome home related ask and i'm sorry if you already answered this before, but what got you into dragons? i'm slowly stalking through your tumblr and i can't help but admire how beautifully and effortlessly you draw the scaley fuckers (/pos) ✨
i've actually never gotten this question, so this is a delight! allow me to Overshare about this
i became interested in dragons at an early age - like, kindergarten / 1st grade age. i don't remember exactly how it started, but i think it was my fascination with dinosaurs, oddly enough? i've loved those guys since some of my earliest memories. it wasn't a big leap from "giant 'lizards' from our past" to 'even bigger mythological 'lizards' from always". the Hobbit and the first Temeraire (im trying to get my hands on the full series now actually) were read to me at this young age too, and the only parts i remember are the big dragon scenes lmao
i do know the ball Really got rolling with the first How To Train Your Dragon movie, which i saw in theaters in 2nd grade. INSTANT obsession with dragons. i'll never forget how it felt to see Toothless for the first time. but in general, i couldn't get enough of em. i made my own dragon manual, i got the Dragonology books, it was the whole enchilada!
then in 5th grade, i stumbled upon the newly released Wings Of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy book! immediately fell in love with it. and its what pushed me to start actively pursuing art! and also what pushed me into my first online space: ~Deviantart~. i saw all of the amazing art of my favorite dragons and wanted in on it. i can actually pinpoint the main person who's art i loved and found inspiration in: someone named Liighty! i don't remember their user, it's probably changed in the many years since. i loved their stuff and wanted nothing more than to be able to draw like them
long story short, i've been in love with dragons for the majority of my life. HTTYD and WOF have been my biggest inspirations and fuel to the fire, and my first delve into the internet pushed me to start drawing dragons (specifically wof) like my life depended on it. i haven't looked back since!

chapter 19 of engage is so fun my favorite moment in it was when mauvier used micaiah boosted rescue to warp in marni
i picked off all his knights by spamming ice dragon veins in the center lane and slowly picking off everybody with canto + thoron ivy and longbow alcryst. this took so long that marni started moving so then everyone ganged up to obliterate mauvier. after silencing him, of course. that bitch can one-round louis. i love the lucina + alcryst combo also for so so so many chain attacks. thank you alcryst
marni was so much easier than mauvier. she has one lifestone less, she starts with 1-range only, and only has dragon effective damage with the binding blade. mauvier has thani specifically as louis counter. marni dies if pandreo and ivy sneeze on her. god bless

thinking about the intricacies of the bond between yuna and her aeons once again today. the inherent trust there is from her towards each and every one of them. the intenseness and the fatigue yuna has to go through to obtain the gift of calling upon them. loving them through & through even if they are to be her demise at the very end. the way they trust yuna enough to let her kill them ( no one has ever done that before ). the empathy the aeons feel for her companions as well [ valefor embracing tidus when he discovers the truth ( this actually feels even worse when you realize that valefor has the strongest connection to yuna ) ]. the fact that the final summoning's fayth has always been the high summoner's most trusted guardian because the entire ritual is inherently based on their bond ( yunalesca & her husband, seymour & his mother ( although not a final summon per se ), braska & jecht ).

A trip down memory lane! Though the tower seems to have changed…
Celestial tower! Built during the direct aftermath of the Founding Unovan Civil War, it remains a cultural landmark in memory of those lost in the fire and storm.
Time has dulled the scars left behind by the twin dragons. Today, the tower is primarily used as a mausoleum (the preferred method of burial are urns) and, well, a tourism site. Legend says if you climb to the top of the tower and ring the bell, you can lay your ghosts to rest. But mostly? You can ring a GIANT bell.
Course, you gotta GET to that bell first.
Masterpost for more pokemon shenanigans here!

I offer absolutely zero context, logic, reasoning, and/or explanation for this, but I think they would all be friends. :)

Taking a peek back at my dragon headworld from 2019ish to 2021 and wow there's A Lot I just Didn't Write Down, there's at least 35 total gods and deities I found named but went through multiple name changes or what they were a god of got combined with another, so there's multiple who are just mentioned once, sun and moon gods who don't get talked about at all, then the life and death gods that may have got combined with light and darkness who exploded one of the three moons?
There's also three celestial gods who are the children of said life and death gods, but one of them is also the god of fate, who also has a demigod son? Who also gets struck by lightning?
