At the breakfast table, Jack enthuses about the special limited edition Christmas version of that cookie cereal he always eats—which, as far as Dean can tell, is the exact same as the regular version, only with red and green sprinkles substituting the usual brown specks that represent chocolate chips, and it costs a few cents extra.
Jack’s head pops up as he looks Dean right in the eye and says, blithely, mouth full of cereal, “It’s Christmas Eve.”
Dean frowns. “No it ain’t.”
Sam shoots Dean a look of pure pity. “Yeah, Dean, it is.”
Cas just squints.

It's so insane to me that so many Christmas movies and specials have families hunting for a tree days or hours before the holiday. Or waiting until the last minute to decorate it.
As if the stores haven't been selling Christmas decor since mid-October.
Is this a common thing I'm unaware of? Growing up, we always put our tree up on Thanksgiving, or if we were getting a real tree, we'd go out the day after Thanksgiving to get. You can't leave it up long, why wait until the last minute?
Favorite Quote: “All right, you guys, just permit me one sentimental moment here, will you? I have something to say. Christmas: it's not the giving, it's not the getting, it's the loving. There, I said it.”
I’ve always loved the Garfield holiday specials and the Christmas one is the best. It’s funny and full of heart. I love the opening song where Garfield is wishing for anything he wants for Christmas. Pat Carroll, voice of Disney’s Ursula, brings a perfect balance of wacky, sassy, loving, and lonely to the role of Jon’s Grandma that will you make you tear up each viewing. We never had this special on VHS growing up and when it stopped airing it was a long time before I saw it again when it was released on DVD. It’s become a yearly tradition to watch this one with my oldest sister.
Just saw this on facebook. So sad. I loved singing Poor Unfortunate Souls. She was also the voice of Jon’s Grandma in the Garfield Christmas and Thanksgiving specials.
OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. I LOVE IT!! TYSM GLOOMY OMFG HE'S EVERYTHING TO ME. I LOVE ALL THE STUFF YOU PUT ON THE SECOND ONE, YES TO THE FUCK TERFS SASH AND THE BYLER CROWN AND THE SILENT PRINCESS FLOWER AND THE TBOS MEDAL. ALSO THE GODDAMN MILK BRACELET I'M GONNA KILL YOU (affectionate) OH MY GOD
