there are some things i don’t like, but so long as you’ll tag them correctly i won’t interact with them. honestly as long as you’re not toxic/in denial, i’m pretty up for anything (which i know is such a vague description, but it’s hard to out of context create some all encompassing distinction of what is in good fun and what just worsens an online community)

A:TLA Hamilton AU:

(Part 1/?)

Sokka, Zuko, Katara, Aang, Toph, Suki, Mai, Azula, and Ty Lee all went to highschool together, and then became actors.

Sokka, Katara, Aang, Toph, and Suki all live together, because rent in NYC is a bitch.

Zuko, Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee do the same.

In hs, Sokka had a maybe-sorta-tiny-possible-kinda-crush on Zuko, but he was still a tiny bit unsure in his sexuality, so he never really acted on or talked about it.

He’s out as bi and proud now, happy to be a queer figure in the theatre world.

Katara and Aang have had crushes on each other since hs, but didn’t act upon them until Sokka, Suki, and Toph locked them into the storage closet in their apartment and didn’t let them out until they confessed.

(Sokka didn’t regret anything until after the fact, when he realized that he was going to have to live with his sister and her boyfriend. Oogie.)

Zuko, very gay, also had a crush on Sokka in hs. He never really got over it, but instead just ignored it because hey, when was he going to see that super cute guy from highschool ever again?

On his first day of rehersal for his biggest show yet, that’s when!

Zuko plays Burr, Aang is Hamilton, Sokka is Laurens, Toph plays Mullegan (we genderbending, keep scrolling), Suki is Laffayette, Katara is Eliza, Mai is Angelica, Azula is Peggy, and Ty Lee is The Bullet.

Just to add in a bit more fun, Piandao is the director, Jeong Jeong does choreography, Bumi is the lead of the set design crew, and Pakku conducts the ochestra. White Lotus theatre crew, anybody?

Sokka sees Zuko across the room and is like Oh shit, he got hotter after highschool.

Zuko sees Sokka and has the same exact thought.

Mai sees the look on Zuko’s face and sighs, because really? Boomerang jokes guy from highschool?

Modern Avatar/Hamilton

The Gaang loves the Broadway play Hamilton. The emotion, the energy, the relationships, the music!

They go about choosing roles one of two ways. They will have the girls sing the girl’s parts, and the guys sing the guys’ parts. OR, they put all the roles into a jar and whatever name you pull out is the one you sing. You can trade, but there only be three trades (kind of an arbitrary number but the point to is to enjoy yourself.) They each have their favorite moments.

Sokka makes and AWESOME King George III and Jefferson. He gets so into “You’ll Be Back” and “What Did I Miss” with exaggerated expressions and getting into people’s faces.

Zuko likes Hamilton’s role, especially “Dear Theodosia”.  He doesn’t have smooth melodious voice, his singing is more of a “talk with a tune”. When he does try to sing, it sounds a bit scratchy. The one time he got Eliza had people DYING of laughter! He has refused to touch that role again, and promptly trades it if he pulls it again. The time he drew Peggy/Maria after putting Eliza back was hysterical! Wheezing and people trying not to wet themselves galore!

Ursa and Katara both make AMAZING Eliza’s both with their energy and emotion, and Ursa from experience of being married. When they sing “Burn” both the first cut and the final cut, it makes people want to shrink into themselves because of their powerful deliveries. Just prepare for tissues when they sing their part during “Stay Alive Reprise”. For the best (torturous, ugly crying, tissue grabbing) performances have Aang be Laurens/Philip when Katara’s singing, and Zuko be Laurens/Philip when Ursa is singing.

Prompts and Such

All right, people. I’m beginning to structure Chapter 15 of Fractures, but I think it’s about time for me to stretch my writing muscles.

So, for the next two days (the entirety of my weekend), just go ahead and send writing prompts to me, and I’ll write a little snippet for them.

These prompts can be canon for A:TLA, set in an AU, set in a Muffin AU, set in one of my AUs, any of the sort. They don’t even have to center around Zuko.

Additionally, if you really want to, under the cut there’s a list of other fandoms that I can write something for with a prompt.

This is something I’ll probably do once in a while to challenge myself in an odd way, I guess.
