Part 2 to this, please enjoy as this was written on a fucking whim Steve knocked on the door to Hellfire's club room before stepping in. He knew their game should be just about finished by now, and he had to take the kids home. Not to mention he had something to talk about with Munson. He leaned on the wall to the side, studying Eddie's face as he narrated the last bit of context for a nice cliffhanger to lead into the next night. It had been a solid 2 weeks since he fucked up his confession to the metalhead, and by god he felt awful.

Like, who just kisses their crush out of nowhere? Stupid move, Harrington. Robin's voice bounced around in his head from her berating after the fact... Which, to be fair, was completely deserved. "Alright guys, it's like 10:30 and I'm sure some of you kiddies' Mommies want you home," Eddie insinuated the O in 'Mommies', chuckling at himself. Apparently he'd not noticed Steve next to the door yet, that or he'd been ignoring the brunette. "Steeeevvve-" Dustin whined, laughing as he walked over. "You takin' me home tonight?" "You, Will, Mike, and Lucas are all required by your mothers to load up in my car! Go get comfy," "Babysitter Steevvee~" Lucas replied, sing-songy as he walked out the door chatting with the other boys about the game. It was pretty soon after the other members of Hellfire gathered their stuff and left, it was just Steve and Eddie once again. "Eddie, I wanted to—" "Don't start with me, Harrington, I haven't had nearly enough time to figure out how I'm gonna deal with you." The curly haired brunette stood, shuffling papers into a big zip-up folder he kept just for Hellfire. Steve hated the way he watched his hands. Hated what he'd always drift off into thinking about... Nope. Stop it. "You act like I'm one of your Dungeons and Dragons enemies," Steve crossed his arms with a little pout. "I know I fucked up, but I want to do something about it." The metalhead's gaze dropped down to his folder, doing anything he could to avoid eye contact. So, Steve stepped closer. And Eddie stood still, carefully looking back at him. "I like you too, Harrington. I just don't think I'm cut out for dating The King." "I'm no king, I never deserved any of that praise, I hurt people, I hurt you, and I want to fix it." So, Eddie stepped closer, setting the folder on the table. And Steve stepped closer. "Can you even handle me?" "I stayed by your side nearly every day in the hospital with your drugged up rambles, I think I might be able to," Steve offered a little smile, the other couldn't help but return one. Munson leaned in, hands finding their way into the brunette's. Their lips touched, and they could feel the heat on each other's faces, and it was soft, and it was wanting, and it hurt, but it was healing, and this was all they'd wanted for months. Steve pulled back, "I need to take the kids home before one of them runs in on us." "Yeah, that might be a good idea- We can figure things out a little better later..." Eddie smiled, stepping back and letting his hands drop. "Yeah. Goodnight, Eds," "Night, Stevie." Steve turned and stepped out the door, practically squealing to himself.
