Thoughts on asg having not only one kid but 3? (Aka the remnants)

im entirely on board with that thought, i think it would be entirely chaotic in every possible way! i do think they could figure out how to manage it though

being they’re first time parents and of three children, they probably have to play trial and error a lot, but i feel angeal is quickly able to pick up on each one of their quirks and sephiroth is able to strategize how to manage each of them, but poor genesis is stressed to hell and back and nearly ripping out his hair the entire time

i feel like infancy would be the easiest stage… meaning not easy at all because infants are usually a nightmare, and having three is most likely even worse! especially when its the remnants… i think baby loz would cling to angeal like his life depended on it, to the point angeal has to get one of those baby carriers that straps the baby to your chest, and none of the others would be able to settle loz no matter what. and i think kadaj would be an overall ultra fussy baby, none of them are getting sleep with him around and they all end up having to take shifts to care for him, although for some reason, after kadaj has started tiring himself out, sephiroth is the one that is for some reason able to put him to sleep. i think baby yazoo would be just an absolute angel though, like the perfect baby everyone would wish for, a little clingy but nothing near as bad as loz, and luckiky he doesn’t seem to have much of a parental preference so they’re all able to manage him quite easily.

i think toddler-childhood years with the remnants were a nightmare not only for asg but for yazoo and loz too for having to be brothers of kadaj! the remnants definitely gave asg a major run for their money, but mainly kadaj… kadaj was definitely a little asshole that would bully, fight, and steal loz and yazoo’s toys and such, and was definitely overall just very misbehaved, causing angeal to have to step in and issue punishments, meanwhile genesis was running around to try and sort everything out and help calm down a sobbing loz and sephiroth could probably calm yazoo with ease, although i dont think yazoo would be very bad, maybe a few tears here and there but sephiroth would just mainly have to talk yazoo out of trying to retaliate against kadaj… unfortunately, despite sephiroth’s efforts, genesis will be willing to look the other way on occasion when yazoo does retaliate.

teenage years were definitely the worst though, for everyone involved! genesis probably had to deal with each of their emotional problems, especially because teenage kadaj is most likely reminiscent of teenage genesis going through an angsty phase. loz still very much favors angeal, and i don’t think loz gets into much trouble, but i do think he’d be the most bullied of them all, so angeal would have to frequently try and help loz. angeal is definitely still the punishment giver though, although kadaj and sometimes yazoo dont always listen to angeal, so sephiroth has to step in instead, in which they know they’re in major trouble at that point. i feel like asg definitely raised them well enough that none of the remnants got into any truly bad trouble though, probably just doing the standard teenage angst kind of shit that would get them grounded for like a week.

overall, despite there definitely being plenty of ups and downs, i think asg would do pretty well with three kids! they would definitely be running around constantly but i think with just a bit of communication, the three of them would be able to manage the remnants, especially with each of the remnants having a different favorite parent. the remnants would ultimately grow up pretty well! healthy and happy for the most part! i think they’d be a really nice, healthy family at the end of day, especially when the remnants are all grown up

This was supposed to be done the day before, but I was tired as shit!

Anyways, Ace had gone full-royalcore similar to David, only he wanted to be a king, but all he could be was a not-so brave knight in shining armor (BTW, Hu made the outfit for him, she is so sweet!)

None of them are a good pick for any of these, but, if I had to choose:

More mature Loz for Husband, because I think he has some heart and would actually give a shit about me and be willing to build something together.

Yazoo for a one night stand because... Well I mean, look at him. Don't think he's especially keen to build a ~deep bond~ either way so we should just Ball.

Kadaj gets to be my BFF BiL. He's got alot on his mind, I'd be more than happy to lend an ear while he works it all out.

NOW, AS FOR THESE THREE CHUCKLEFUCKS:

All of them... Are also mega awful for this, for different reasons lol. As follows:

Angeal as my shitty noble Husband who's upstanding and honourable on the surface but lacks the security for true emotional vulnerability and just kinda. Leaves me.

Genesis as the One Night Stand™ (after I listened to him yammer on about Loveless for an hour and a half <3 After another book club session.)

Sephiroth as the... Bestie is a strong word here, but as the tepid acquaintance friend-of-my-husband who commiserates with me every now and then while Angeal continues to overwork himself far away from home and has no energy for passion when he gets back; double points if he and Gen have absconded and Sephiroth has to come around apologetically every now and then to keep me updated while not spilling too many sensitive details.

I gave up on Genshin for now to focus on Samurai Remnant.

Up to Ch2 notes:

Story

As usual, I love the Master-Servant dynamics when Fate goes really hard on them. Iori & Saber are a fun duo so far - I like their personality clashes. Iori's character has a lot of callbacks to Shirou, which is nice.

I Am Not Immune To Saber. Saber is adorable. Love Saber so far. I know who they are but not how Fate plans to write them; spoilers on Servant identities don't bother me, bc I'm not too familiar with a lot of historical figures anyway.

Iori's sister assuming Saber & Iori are in a relationship and like, fucking constantly, is hilarious given this is the one Fate entry where romance ISN'T a major component.

Not sure how I feel about Rogue Servants. On one hand, they should be involved in the main story if they're here... on the other, that's a lot of Servants to manage. And Tamamo Aria is like, her own thing. Do not like. Having Gil as a neighbour though, christ.

I don't know if I trust Zheng Chenggong yet. He seems friendly, but he's gotten a lot of information on us that could backfire in our faces later, and he's.... so generous...! Maybe I'm just suspicious of friendly prettyboys after Oberon and Takasugi.

I'm also unsure of what to make of Takao Dayu; I don't actually think that Iori being Musashi's disciple is going to protect him in the long run if he becomes a strong enough enemy for Musashi to consider, and she seems fairly cunning. On the other hand... Musashi... hmm.

Chiemon is cool. And pathetic. Love him, 10/10 design.

Gameplay

I love the way they manage human vs Servant combat. The gap in strength between Iori and Saber, and Iori and any Servant you happen to pick a fight with is extremely well-conveyed. I wiped out against Rogue Berserker a couple of times because of it.

The combat has much more depth than any other Warriors game I've played so far. It's a lot more enjoyable than FE Hopes, even though there's a lot less playable characters.

Unsure how I feel about Grail Front being transferred here. It certainly works better than in FGO; I think I'll have to wait until I've unlocked all aspects of it to make a judgment.

I just want to recruit Arjuna, man.

Ace being rly shy and wanting physical affirmations of love both platonic and romantic

Trying to throw his arms all the way around Pops and then almost crying from too many emotions when a huge hand gently pets his head

Thatch slinging an arm around his shoulders and Ace realises this is what it feels like to have trust in others

Izou chasing him down with a comb and once caught and all the tangles have been teased out, Ace realises wow :)) this is way nicer than whatever Dadan did to our hair

If they happen to be standing behind him during meetings, Marco would rest a hand on Ace’s shoulder to let him know he’s there and so he doesn’t get anxious about someone attacking him when hes vulnerable

BEHOLD MY ACE RING COLLECTION (and bonus ring)

my sister recently gifted me a new ace ring so i thought i might show a line up of all the rings i've used over the years. please excuse my poor photography skills and old nail polish

my first ace ring was the only ring i could find in my house that was close to black and could fit my middle finger. wasn't really a fan of the look and only wore it for a few days

the ring i wore through my last few years of highschool is actually a blank ring from a rock tumbler set that you're meant to glue one of the polished stones onto. i painted it black with a kinda sparkly nail polish and had to reapply it quite a few times as it wore away

my most used ring, it's been with me for the past 4-5 years and only recently been showing a few scratches. bought it for about $6 cad on amazon using a gift card earned through one of those "play games for money" apps. took months to earn enough points, but it was worth it

the new one! a hematite ring that my sister bought from a hobby shop during her trip to toronto. she also got herself a matching ring. it's a little bit more chonky than my current one but not uncomfortably so. probably going to be wearing this one from now on unless i can't get used to the choncc

RUBY: (SINGING) One day more Another day, another tough mission While global unity is coming to fruition This can still turn bad on a dime But we can stop it all in time One day more

(At Salem’s base, Mercury sits alone.)

MERCURY: I did not live until today How can I live when we are parted?

RUBY: One day more

(Emerald and Mercury sing together, but distant.)

EMERALD AND MERCURY: Tomorrow you’ll be worlds away And yet, with you, my world has started

(Velvet also sings alone.)

VELVET: One more day that I have shown

EMERALD AND MERCURY: Will we ever meet again?

VELVET: One more day with her not seeing

EMERALD AND MERCURY: I just want to be with you

VELVET: What a life I might have known

EMERALD AND MERCURY: And I swear I will be true
