Full transparency I have 4C hair and I've always HATED it - especially because I'm tenderheaded as all fuck. But like my hair is coarse as all hell, the most 4C coily tangley hair that takes hours to do anything with so I usually just shave it off

What if I told you HOBIE is making me change that

Im getting locs because of him but like!!!! Idk what it is - it's just the fact that his hair gets to exist and it LOOKS COOL and yes I know it still takes work but FOREVER I wanted hair that could just look cool as is but felt like I never could cause I always had to do SOMETHING or comb it or detangle or part it or WHATEVER

Cause like even wearing an afro is WORK - A LOT OF WORK Like with natural hair my hair does not do this shit naturally

You cannot do this with my hair its way too thick and coarse. And I've always felt discounted by the natural hair movement cause it's still so much work for me to even like 'look presentable' even by THEIR standards

But like Hobie.... Hobie..... Hobie (sorry I'm tryna form thoughts)

I have to jump in on the Rockstar Lestat talk, because I have actually been meaning to post about it myself recently. I remember opening The Vampire Lestat when I was..much younger, and even then I was like "Lestat's a rockstar?" It was like a sign that all bets were off. Anne was going to go where she wanted with these characters, and we could go along for the ride or not. (Obviously I decided to stay.) It's crazy, but it's fun.

(I do hope the lyrics they will choose will be better though, sorry Anne 😬😅)

It was such a wild thing to open with, after IWTV ?!? and tbh I hope the show goes full in, merch-release-album for us, fake merch to buy, its own soundtrack, the whole enchilada, pretty please 😈

And I want those on vinyl, too. 🙏

But yeah… wild fun^^. I don’t think they’ll skip it in any kind of way but I do think it will stay in the 80s. Given the format of the show that shouldn’t make much difference though, right?!

And there are so many things they can play with there as well… what happened in the show, what did not… what else is contested?!

It could also easily introduce some of the othet big players, like Khayman, and of course, the backstory for Akasha, eventually….
