HIS WORDS, simple as they might sound, held so much meaning in between that essi understood without him having to explain or say the meaning aloud. she has seen it, within the time they’ve known each other, the subtle yet somehow compelling changes in cahir that the druidess could not have missed even if she wanted to. pleasant as he had been as a human being ( contrary to the MANY tales her kin have told her about humans and their innate capability to destroy ), essi failed to understand why there seem to be a shadow that cast his features from when they first met -- or even the next few weeks that followed, when she would try to converse with him and lift his spirits, yet still, she could not see the kind of spark she got used to seeing reflected into one’s eyes. she remembers cahir’s smile, the first few times he did when around her, and how it did not quite reach his eyes then; how it got her into thinking that perhaps, he was feigning geniality and that, he actually despised her ( or her kind ). then she blamed her lack of proper understanding of humans, and the way most of them truly are, for being perplexed over his actions, and his reactions. she thought maybe if she tried to better understand him, to LISTEN to him when he spoke, she would finally see why --- get to know him as much as he’d allow her to, for the last thing she wanted him to think her kindness was backed with deceit.

there had been a lot of uncertainties when it came to cahir but now, hearing him speak such words, essi realizes just how far they’ve gotten from where they were before. he doesn’t seem like he holds back with his words anymore, and essi, always eager to hear his stories ( or just hear him speak, really ), is more than happy to give him all of the attention he needed; may have wanted, until the sun sets -- until there are no stories left for him to tell. his confession may have been about his own smiles, his own laughter, and yet here she is, the widest of smiles tugging the corners of her lips that her cheeks apple; unable to stop the happiness that swells from her heart to manifest itself. 

cornflower eyes meet his, the druidess says, “ it certainly is about time that you do,” words laced with evident humor that she trusted he understood by now. her smile then settles to a more subtle one, the kind that is almost solemn in a way that it is heartfelt. “ you deserve to smile and laugh, cahir -- and not the kind that is faux, nor for the mere purpose of pleasing others,” essi paused, looking down at her hand that toyed with the grass beneath them. “ you deserve those, and more, ” the movement of her hand halts then, her eyes finding his again as she whispers, “ -- much more.” if her mere existence meant cahir could smile and laugh; offer him even the slightest bit of happiness and light in his darkness, then essi is there to stay. she is there for him, for as long as he wanted her to be around him.

ok so this is gonna be random!! when i went to europe i was only in austria for one day and that night i spent at a christmas market in innsbruck. it was the most magical night i’ve ever had. even though the weather was cold it was warm from all the people and the mulled wine, sausages (wiener?frankfurter?) and other lovely foods!!! plus there was music, lots of cool stuff to see and buy and the people were so lovely an nice :-) i had a really great time and i wish i could see more of the country yknow!!

MMF establishing itself as a cliche drama doesn't shield it fr all criticism lmao. cliche isn't inherently bad, but the horrible pacing, the annoyingness and and low brain cell count of the collective character decisions... why did keep reading it then? because the clicheness pulled me in like it's intended to.... and then proceeded to offer nothing good. there u have it anon thanks for listening to mY Ted talk
