From underground to institution (and back)

During the Gothenburg Design Festival 2019 I set up a small zine exhibition at Röhsska Design Museum in Gothenburg as a part of the WeavingLab symposium and its documentation. It contained a stack of mini-zines from my own collection (from trading zines for several years) and the latest donations to HDK Zine Archive. On Friday that week we had a lecture / talk / conversation about the Zine as a format and the possibilities of self-publishing in the context of research, institutional- and artistic practice in the Studio at Röhsska. An informal setting in couches with participants Martin Born @helsinkidesignlibrary and symposium organisers Rosa Tolnov Clausen and Emelie Rönndahl

本 \hon\ books -------> AA4!! @hon_bookstore En avril 2018, antoine lefebvre editions @aleditions ouvre 本 \hon\ books, un espace dédié à la microédition au sein des Grands Voisins dans l’ancien hôpital Saint Vincent de Paul. À la fois librairie et bibliothèque de publications d’artistes (livre d’artistes, revue, fanzines), ce lieu propose chaque mois des focus sur des artistes éditeurs français et internationaux. Inspiré des librairies japonaises de seconde main et de l’oeuvre One and Three Chairs de Joseph Kosuth, le nom de ce nouveau lieu offre la même proposition sous trois formes : un idéogramme, sa prononciation, et sa traduction, 本 = livre. Opened in April 2018 by antoine lefebvre editions 本 \hon\ books is a space dedicated to self publishing and small press in Les Grands Voisins, a former hospital. This space is a bookshop as well as an archive for artists publications (artists’ books, magazines and zines).  Each month, 本 \hon\ books proposes focuses on French and International artists, in the form of book exhibitions.
