What You Need To Work On *HARSH* | Pick A Pile

Warning: This Pick A Pile Can Be Harsh

Hello and welcome to this Pick A Pile! In here you'll find out what you need to hear right now. I hope you guys enjoy this and find it useful, do make sure to leave comments down below on your experience! I do want to remind you all that this is a General Pick A Pile which means this is for a lot of people; therefore keep what resonates and leave what doesn't!

Pick A Pile!

Pile 1:

You need to find balance in your emotions, you need to know and figure out what is good for you, what you want. And the moment you do know, make sure you do it, even if it hurts, even if you are scared of the outcome. You need to get a hold of your true wishes, your true beliefs and thoughts, take the control you wish to have. Leave those insecurities, those fears behind, get through them, think about your true wish, even if it hurts.

It’s hard to look back at what you’ve been through, the happy moments, the sad and conflicting moments. It’s hard to realise that these good things must come to an end, and hurt is okay to have, you are allowed to feel and acknowledge that hurt, you need to accept it be able to work on it and grow through it.

Look back and think about what it is that you truly want, and if it turns out to be something that will hurt you, possibly hurt others, you must be able to overcome this fear, this hardship, and do what is best for you. Take a hold of your wish, be accepting of what is going to happen. You don’t want to do something anymore? You don’t need to do it anymore. You don’t feel like something or someone is for you? That is okay. Do the thing that will make you happy and what is good for you, make sure it is done with care and love. Don’t fully let go, let it sink in, let it rest, let you think. Even if in the end you realise that you do want to continue, that underlying grudge will have left, you having grown either way and made more clearance, just rethink, remember, realise and release.

Pile 2:

Be happy with the little things. You can’t be happy with little progress, because the greater goal hasn’t been accomplished. I wouldn’t be surprised if you sometimes have progress but it still makes you frustrated because it wasn’t the full thing that you wished for.

Learn to realise that little progress can and must be celebrated too, you’re allowed to be proud of yourself for the little things, even if you get disappointed by it. You need to learn to leave those disappointed thoughts behind, accept them and move on. You can be happy and relieved while being disappointed that you didn’t fully succeed. But those little things, those little things are worth celebrating, they can help you gain more confidence and believe as long as you let them, they can make you stronger.

Having a bit of progress but not fully succeeding isn’t failure, isn’t laughable, it isn’t a way to show how incompetent you are. You make progress to keep believing and to keep that confidence to success, it is there to guide you and help you. So let it help you, allow it to exist, allow it to be acknowledged and loved.

Don’t get blinded by disappointment because the full goal hasn’t been accomplished. After all, little success is still success, making you closer to your goal, progress is being made.

Pile 3:

Don’t just sit around and do nothing while waiting for a luck of the draw. If you want to accomplish something, then go do it. The universe won’t bend for you, you must bend the universe yourself. Don’t think your success will come from nowhere, don’t think the journey to this success will be easy without any obstacles. Every journey has obstacles, and every journey has moments where you want to quit and not continue.

If you want something, go do it. Just because something small happened which you didn’t want to happen, which made you disappointed, it doesn’t mean you should give up. Do not give up and believe the whole universe is against you. Of course, not a single journey is the same, but that doesn’t mean your journey should come easy to you, nor does it mean it should come hard to you. Every journey also teaches you something, and maybe for you this journey wants to teach you that you must work hard and continue even though certain moments suck.

Don’t sit around and pity yourself, don’t think everyone is against you, because they are not. So sit up, believe in yourself and do what you always have wanted to do. Do remember to not be reckless though, things must be done safe, being reckless can bring you in danger or decrease your chances of success.

Pile 4:

You are not better than anyone else, so please stop trying to act like you are. Even if you are not aware of the fact that you act like that, you do. Please watch your words because a lot of things happening around you are just a roll of the dice. If something good happens you’re lucky, and if something bad happens it was just something that would happen one way or another.

Being confident in your knowledge is good, but don’t make yourself believe you know so much, because you don’t. Don’t put your insecurities so far away that you way of coping becomes a burden for others. You can be insecure yet have knowledge, you don’t need to be over-confident with it. And even if you are not confident, don’t try to mask it off. You need to learn how to balance these things.

You are obsessed with certain things, which makes me believe that’s where the acting like you know it all comes from. The fact that someone loves you, doesn’t mean you became someone powerful or are now more worthy of whatever you believe. You need to work on your trust and on what is going on around you, because you get blinded by your own romanization. Become aware, because if this keeps going at some point it will be the worst for you and things might happen that you never wanted to happen. There is a lot on working on your emotions, realising and reality-checking going on.

Pile 5:

Go for it, don’t wait around and be scared, do it. It is good that you think about possible dangers and the wish to do it correctly, but over-thinking is also something that exists, and it’s not good. Don’t sit and imagine everything, being able to control everything, if you want it to happen you must do it. Get a grasp of that wish, stand in confidence and become the person you’ve always wanted to become, do the thing you’ve always wanted.

You are insecure, and being insecure is okay, but just because you are insecure it doesn’t mean everything and everyone should handle you with care. Everyone should be treated the same, which includes you. You want to do this? Well, it’s a tough world, get ready for it. Don’t be scared and wait around doing nothing, do it or don’t, in the end you’ll know what you want.

You need to work on your insecurities, on your indecisiveness, your wish to hide everything about yourself you don’t want to see. You want to do things? Do them. You need to overcome these fears, whatever they may be. Of course, while going through this journey looking back and acknowledging all happenings are good, but don’t make it something so important it will hold you back, know when it’s enough and when you need more. Learn about how you work and learn when having a break is needed. You can push yourself as much as you can, but the moment your limit is reached you won’t make progress before you gave yourself time.

Disclaimer: this is solely how I believe the characters would act IF they found it strange. Personally I don’t think the wonderlandians would find anything strange esp not a special interest 💖

Alice

If you told Alice you had a peculiar interest she would be confused for a moment but would never judge you as she has learnt better than that in her lessons with her sister. She would kindly sit and ask you to explain to her what you find so interesting about the subject at hand. She would most likely make up stories with you about the interest to make it more enjoyable for her and for you <3

The Mad Hatter

The hatter would be taken back a tad but laugh. Not at you, just because he found the situation funny. He will sit at the table sipping his tea and gently listening to you info dump about your special interest and simply enjoy your presence. Occasionally he would interrupt you to make a statement or ask a question, not in a rude way, just being inquisitive and unaware of when it’s deemed polite to interrupt someone. He would most likely make a little song out of it and sing it to you (he’s musically whimsical).

The Cheshire Cat

I know fully that Cheshire would pick some fun at your interest but only out of mischief. He would be more than willing to ask you questions about it and let you talk about the subject but before then he would let out a large chuckle and make jokes every now and again.

The Queen of Hearts

She will most likely not care too much for the conversation and dismiss it unless you keep pestering her until she caves. She would order you to sit next to her and occasionally lose her temper with you due to being impatient and ordering you to talk about the next thing. Or another option would be for her to order you to play croquet while you talk about it meanwhile she keeps interrupting with “OFF WITH HIS HEAD”

The Caterpillar

He wouldn’t be too fond of the conversation as he likes to keep to himself however he would never turn down a nonsensical info dump. He would stare at you, eyes half closed while puffing on his hookah and listening to you rambling on. His face would show a soft grin as he enjoys listening to the words coming out your mouth.

The White Rabbit

Knowing how late Mr rabbit is. He would most likely offer you to speed walk with him while you talk about it. He would however ask questions about it and keep the conversation moving until eventually he would hop off abruptly without another word.

The Flowers

They would offer you a seat on a leaf at first glance but then after some time they would get bored and tired of listening and start singing. To which you find that very rude and they would kick you out for interrupting them.

Some kind of synapses in my brain that made me think "Wonderland Slosher" and now we're here.

I went for some different things this time:

I usually don't care enough to try to create variation in line weight or for super clean lines--i just think it's more work and more pain than it's worth. But I decided to do it this time, with apparently a larger brush.

I usually work with a desaturated palette for the flat colors, but today I tried for brighter colors.

I usually only use an airbrush for subsurface scattering, but this time I made a textured airbrush that I used with some of the lighting.

"Down the rabbit hole, fellow writers! Writing is a whimsical Wonderland, full of enchantment and adventure. Yet, lurking in shadows are peculiar mistakes even seasoned writers can stumble upon. In this post, I'll be your guide, pointing out these errors and offering graceful solutions."Spelling and Grammar Hiccups: These mischievous creatures, known as typos and misplaced commas, can make your writing tumble down the rabbit hole of confusion. Beware the Jabberwocky of poor grammar! Proofreading is your vorpal sword.

Adjectives and Adverbs Overflow: Much like the Mad Hatter's tea party, too many "very" and "really" can create quite the ruckus. Opt for strong nouns and verbs to paint your scenes vividly.

Run-On Sentences That Never End: Like a never-ending tea party with the March Hare, long sentences can leave you breathless. Cut them into bite-sized pieces for clarity and sanity.

~~~~Maze to the death~~~~

TW: blood loss, self harm implied, razors, gore, domestic abuse/violence

This is my POV AU of a saw trap that is Alice in wonderland themed

(Currently hyperfixating on saw if you couldn’t tell 🩷)

Your eyes flutter open as you smell stale iron mixed with the filthy dust on the floor, you raise your head weakly and let out a dry hefty cough as if you hadn’t drank water in years. You manage to scramble to your feet, the entire room pitch black. Your leg seems to be in a chain as the rattling of it enthrals panic to course through your body.

“HELLO?” You cry out in frustration and confusion, your voice echoing throughout the empty room.

You pull your leg as a hard as you can but something clicks. The lights turn on and you are faced with a maze, the maze was as tall as the roof, 12 feet you judged. Suddenly there’s static, an old tv flickers on as your met with static and a loud screaming sound. You cover your ears and hunch over in pain, as you look up to the tv again it’s silent, your hands drop from your ears and you stare at the television waiting.

The tv flickers once more and a puppet appears on screen, white skinny face with red swirls on the cheeks, black hair and wearing a suit. He turns to you and just laughs. Laughs. Laughs.

*“Hello y/n. You’re probably wondering where you are, so pay close attention, it may cost you your life. around you is a maze, you must find the exit in the time allotted, simple. As the timer progresses the spikes lining the walls will close in, slowly impaling you until you are unable to move or succumb to your wounds. Which ever comes first. So I suggest you move quickly. You’ve delt your share of pain in your failed relationships, mental and physical, now it is your choice, face the pain you’ve caused the ones you love, or be lost to the maze forever”

The raspy voice spoke and all the images comes flashing back, your ex partner, their bruises, their cuts, their tears. All of it. Caused by you, you begin to feel weak, helpless, sacrificed like a lamb. You pull yourself together and look up as you heard a beeping, there was a timer for 1 minute above your head and your ankle is released from the chain. You realise quickly that you have to move.

You start running towards the maze and are feeling a little more hopeful. You feel you may win, you feel there may be victory. Until.

“AAAAHHH. Shit.” You run into a dead end. Razors blades and spikes cut through your skin like paper. Your blue top being dyed a dark crimson red, you move back slowly and nearly trip over your own feet. Looking back up at the timer. You’re at 45 seconds.

Steadying back on your feet you start moving swiftly and watching out for dead ends, you decide to check the timer again and see that you have 30 seconds. Whilst doing so your abdomen gets impaled by three spikes attached to roses as you scream out in agony. Your bleeding increases as you start to feel weak and breathless. Looking back up. You have 20 seconds.

Continuing on, you see a walkway through the edge of the hedge, your eyes light up as you move quicker and quicker, once more. You are met with another dead end, your ankles and wrists cuttings, displaying your veins, swallowing your scream through gritted teeth you look back at the clock.

Ten seconds.

You see the walkway as you walk quickly towards.

Nine seconds.

The spikes start closing in

Eight seconds.

You’re forced to walk sideways towards the walkway

Seven seconds.

You’re so close.

Six seconds.

The spikes making contact with your shirt

Five seconds.

As you are close to the walkway. Your leg gets caught between the spikes

Four seconds.

You fall and your face makes contact with the concrete floor, skidding your skin against rock.

Three seconds.

The spikes still enclosing in around your ankle you scramble to get both your legs out.

Two seconds.

You only manage. One.

One second.

Your foot is trapped. You lay there in a panicked state.

“I DID IT. I DID IT YOU BASTARD” you scream out in anger.

“LET ME GO” you wiggle your ankle. The spikes penetrating your wound, you feel your foot twitch and cry out in pain. You decide to pull as hard as you can, you put your, now stained crimson red, top in your mouth to bite down on and grab your shin.

You start to pull your leg out of the spikes, the foot being shredded in the meantime. You look away and don’t stop no matter what. Your foot is out. It’s mangled. But it’s out. You hang your head and sigh in relief as you let out a small cry.

“I win…” you breathed out heavily as you crawl over out the walkway and prop yourself up against the wall
