something else too that’s kind of like ugh is that i can never watch my favorite movies with anyone else because 9/10 times they have A Lot Of Content in them

like first of all Elaine is either naked or barely clothed like every three minutes in The Love Witch, and if it’s not her it’s someone else, and there are full fucking frontals & longer than average sex scenes in this movie and yeah it serves its purpose but I can’t sit through that with someone else 💀 BECAUSE THEY PROBABLY WONT GET IT EITHER THEYD JUST BE LIKE ALSHKSJSK AND ID BE LIKE NOOO ITS NOT LIKE THATTT

and then with Diary of A Teenage Girl we have the same issue there are full on fucking nude sex scenes every five seconds in this movie LITERALLY like and that’s not a bad thing but like I said. You Can’t Watch This With Someone Else. there are way more sex scenes then the love witch actually. and some of the shit Minnie says too it’s like yeah I can sit here and watch this movie and hear her say “...my all consuming thoughts about sex and men.” BUT I can’t sit there and have someone else hear it the same time I’m hearing it !!!!!!!!!!!

and then call me by your name is not as bad as either of those yet there is a scene where elio uses a peach for less than traditional purposes and there are So Many Moments between Elio and Oliver and it’s an excellent and respectable film yet. I Can’t Watch That With Someone.

don’t even get me started on Teenage Cocktail because yeah there are the blatant scenes, like they are cam girls so obviously there are many scenes of them in their bras n panties n shit but what makes it worse to watch with someone else is the fact that there’s ONE SCENE where Annie’s getting a stick and poke tattoo from Jules and they like set up the situation to make it sound like they’re having sex. it’s clever and all but like. can I watch this movie with anyone else. absolutely not

most popular A24 movies are my favs also like I do really enjoy lady bird but there’s also many things in that where you can’t watch it with other people if you don’t want to be highly uncomfortable
