Y/N was very excited as she checked into the hotel to surprise her boyfriend later. The triplets were currently on tour, and Y/N couldn't join them because she was also on tour herself.

Chris knew this, of course, but it still made him sad. He wasn't made for long-distance relationships and always wanted Lina with him if possible. The two had been high school sweethearts and had been together for 4 years. While the world knew Y/N as a globally famous singer with a boyfriend and Chris as a well-known YouTuber with a girlfriend, nobody knew who this "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" was. The two had a private but not secret relationship. What he didn't know, however, was that Lina had planned with Nick and Matt to surprise Chris at his show in Boston, as she had a short break from her own tour at that time. It was already late when Lina arrived at her hotel room, so she immediately got ready for bed. What she didn't expect was that Chris would call her.

"Hey Baby, I tried to call you today but you didn't answer. Are you okay?", Chris asked. Normally the two of them would call eachother all the time, but because Y/N was on a plaine today she couldn't respond.

"Hey, yeah I'm okay i was on the plane on the way to brazil. Did i forget to tell you that I'm visiting my family? I'm sorry amore that wasn't my intention."

"No, no it doesn't matter. Maybe I forgot. I just wanted to hear your voice. I'll let you go to sleep You've had a long flight. Goodnight Baby, I love you"

"Yeah I love you too, sleep well darling"

and Chris hung up. What he didn't know was that they were actually in the same hotel. And so Y/N went to sleep.

The next morning, Y/N was quite nervous, afraid of accidentally running into Chris. In the afternoon, she got ready and made her way to the address Nick had sent her. The triplets had only been told that someone would be performing again after their show this time, but nobody had said who it was. When Y/N arrived at the address, Nate, an old friend of the triplets and hers, opened the door.

"Nick and Matt said you were coming, but wow, it's been so long," they embraced. "I've missed you so much," Y/N said.

They made their way to stand beside the stage where nobody could see them. The show was nearing its end, and Chris was winning. When Matt knocked over the Jenga tower, it was over, and Chris won. During the crowning, Y/N stepped onto the stage, and the fans went wild. Just as Chris was about to say something, Y/N spoke while her music played softly in the background.

"Hi, Boston," and finally, Chris turned around and saw Y/N.

He looked at her in shock, eyes widened and mouth open. Shortly after, he ran towards her and embraced her, lifting her off the ground. What Y/N didn't expect was for Chris to kiss her in front of everyone. He had missed her soft and puffy lips so much that he couldn't resist, and Y/N melted into the kiss. Chris still held her in the air as Y/N tugged at his brunette locks and sighed into the kiss.

After Chris set her back on the ground and they parted, he said, "Hi, baby." "Hi," Y/N replied, breathless and with flushed cheeks. Shortly after, the two realized they weren't alone, given the cheering of the fans, and now likely the whole world knew about their relationship. Chris looked at Y/N sweetly and smiled as he scratched the back of his head. "I totally forgot, I'm sorry." "No worries, it had to come out eventually," and so Y/N continued her performance while Chris watched her in awe.

so this is my cousin's fault lmao. i was telling her about this wip and said something along the lines of "Leo and Zeya have different flavours of abandonment issues" and she replied "that would make such a good band name" and so. uh. the concept of the girls in a band immediately possessed me and i have been doing nothing for the last three days but drawing feverishly 🥲

(krita says i spent nearly 15 hours on this but that feels like a lie.)

legally i have to name the band the Sirens since it's their crew name but Flavours of Abandonment can definitely be their album lmao.

i didn't spend more than 5 seconds assigning the girls their instruments but the more i think about it the more it makes sense. Zeya, for example, who is very small and very angry, gets to hit things very hard with sticks that can be analogous to her daggers.

as the keyboardist Gabi has tons of equipment and like, 4 different keyboards for different sounds that she spends countless hours programming, which just felt fitting since she's the tech person in the main canon. (source: my brother is a professional keyboardist.) also, in this au, she's a med school dropout who couldn't handle the pressure.

Leo writes most of the band's lyrics.

i was debating having Kalen in the band too but 6 people was gonna be too much to draw and sort of upset the symmetry i had pictured in my head. maybe in this au she sometimes secretly replaces her sister, say, when Illiana is sick, or just for funsies, idk.

i don't really have anything to say about Euna. uh, bassists are hot. (also, she and Zeya get to riff off each other, and we all know how i feel about their relationship.)

I kind of miss getting to know the interior of other people’s homes. So many of my friendships in adulthood are distant, or long distance/only talking over the phone, difficult to make actual plans with because of Real Life Schedules Now, etc. etc., but like in school and stuff as a kid you can just hang out at someone’s house for a few days, have a sleepover every weekend, etc. etc. I still remember the interior of all of my childhood friend’s homes, I remember all the details to the rooms and the layout of the yards and etc. etc. There’s just something kind of neat about Knowing another person’s housing space, what the décor says about them, the history of how they came to live there and their household routines and what it’s like, etc. I feel like it can be an important part of really deeply understanding someone so it’s weird to talk to and vaguely know a handful of people, but also not even know what their bedrooms look like or how they organize the dishes after washing them or etc. etc.

day 3: unnecessarily complex fit

ii gotta be honest, they were originally gonna have two feet but then i couldn't figure out the perspective of their right one so i decided to just not draw it

#im aware that its the 13th but i wanted to draw this prompt.. and im like real happy with how this turned out.. #could not make myself do shadows because what the fuck are light sources even.. #and and i made a silly brush specifically just to use for the texture in this because i thought it would be funny.. #yeah and um dont ask the logic behind the color scheme.. i honestly dont think about that shit ever #i just pick colors and go with the flow. you will NOT catch me practicing color theory.. #and um yeah.. #oh once again i made the smallest things too detailed. so they stand out much more than they're supposed to.. #the nose piercing i was able to dial back. but the choker just is like that. and it stands out way too much.. #also really appriciate that the shorts look alright because i had no fucking clue what was going on there.. #i put off figuring them out for so long that they only made sense once i put the texture on them. which was like one of the last things.. #art #my art #cringetober 2023 #um #digital art #oh and the background was a total accident.. i had filled the characters surroundings with white to make sure none of my notes and shit wer #visible. and id forgotten about it.. so then when i changed the background color. it basically looked like that already. #i just tweaked it a bit.. #tbh im quite glad it happened so because ii struggle with balancing the background between too distracting and a void.. #the colors are so fucked for everyone else probably because ive fucked with my monitors gamma levels a lot #basically overall saturation is supposed to be higher. and mainly the dark green is supposed to be a bit more blue-ish..

there’s pure comedy in film red and the retcon of shanks’s daughter who was there the whole time and no it won’t ever not make me laugh that every single scene uta appears in feels like 2003 oc fanfiction come to life we came full fucking circle on this one

#i've already seen some detail points of the movie which make it seem super questionable #but i also enjoy everyone fucking fighting over this retcon hope it tears this house apart #sara's not watching the one about pirates #i'll forget about this in the months before it actually reaches the US but it's funny now and that's what counts #well except for the apparent ending that is actually extremely questionable and raises some serious concerns #that being said there are so many smarter workarounds they could have used to still use this sort of plot they did #instead of just making uta shanks's daughter for clout points #they could have gone saga from zoro's background route and just have luffy take a trip as a child at an unspecified point in time #he meets uta who has a red-headed father who distinctly reminds us of shanks #but uta's father leaves her when she's very young and luffy's trip as a child ends and memories of his time spent with her fade #but uta does remember him because it was a happier time in her life and not knowing the fate of her father has hung over her head for years #so when the straw hats go to the concert uta recognizes luffy and luffy eventually recognizes her so that's still a plot #and yeah sure involve shanks somehow but not so deliberately i guess that just caused pure comedy #could have even had uta mistake him as her father which he corrects but then still tries to help her #just a number of different ways this could have gone that wouldn't make this all feel like a long joke slash tone deaf af fever dream

(not to mention i really like soft pastels on shirts) #the font looking wavy is inspired by the shape of waves #i also took inspiration on the poster of the old movie of the argonauts that came in 1963 #i am unsure if its visible but the background has hints of the constellation of the argo (jason's ship) #and the word 'naut' on the tag is in reference to the word argonaut #its usually a word that references the crew that joined jason on his journey #however it can apply to any person who embarks in a journey #examples; astronauts; cosmonauts; etc etc #so i thought it was a nice lil detail! #because; we all undergo through adventures and everyone embarks on their own journeys; #so having a tag that in some ways means 'voyager' was a nice thought to me #anyways ive always wanted to try my hand at doing shirts and mockups are so fun! 101%recommending it #also if u click it; it should look better #the jason is from the official wada memo btw!

REALLY fucking impressive! #I really liked that!!! On the other hand...This might be very biased but #the spice and romance between Krabat and Kantorka (Anna) feels.... overplayed; cheap #especially the spice #I often just skipped through it #and it's so prevalent throughout the work and overly extreme too #if it wasn't so extreme and often I would give it a 9/10 #I get there needs to be love between them but this felt so... Being a comics fan is so difficult sometimes in many regards but one of the things I hate the most is when you like a specific design for a character a lot, but it just so happened to be present during an era where the writing was terrible so people automatically assume you like that specific part of canon and only characterize a character by how they acted during the era with that look 😭
