Snow Bros: The Parallel Journeys of Simon and Jon Snow
Tumblr media
Simon Snowlock Art: Credit || Jon Snow Art: Credit
It’s not a secret that George R.R. Martin was inspired by the fantasy series “Memory, Sorrow & Thorn” when he was writing ASOIAF. Here is what he has said himself on the subject:
"Tad’s fantasy series, The Dragonbone Chair and the rest of his famous four-book trilogy was one of the things that inspired me to write my own seven-book trilogy."
Source
The premise of “Memory, Sorrow & Thorn” is the political turmoil in a country after the King dies while in the far North, supernatural creatures are about to destroy mankind. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
We won’t list here all the similarities between those two series (which are a lot, mind you!) because the focus of this meta are the parallels between Simon Snowlock (MS&T's Main Character) and our Jon Snow.
Both start their series as fourteen year old boys who are unaware of their true royal lineage. Simon’s father was a descendant of Eahlstan Fiskerne King of the Hayholt. Rhaegar Targaryen was the son and heir to King Aerys II Targaryen and through his father, he is the descendant of all the Targaryens that ruled Westeros.
Simon’s father was already dead by the time he was born while his mother lived long enough to name him (his real name is Seoman, by the way!) before she died in her childbirth bed. Similarly, Rhaegar died at the Trident before Lyanna gave birth to Jon. Lyanna lived long enough to ask her brother to protect her son “Promise me, Ned” and perhaps to also to name him? There is a lot speculation within the fandom that Jon was given a different name by his mother. "He was no Aemon Targaryen." (wink, wink) Perhaps a Targaryen one, befitting a son of a Targaryen Prince?
Simon lived his whole life as a kitchen boy in the Hayholt’s castle, like Jon lived his as a bastard of Winterfell. People in Hayholt’s castle called him “Ghost Boy” and interestingly enough, that’s the name Jon choses to give to his beloved Direwolf, 'Ghost'.
At the beginning of the first book, both characters are forced to leave their childhood home and their story is heavily intertwined with the supernatural creatures of the North.
Both boys have powerful, magical dreams. Simon has his prophetic visions and Jon has his wolf dreams, and some prophetic visions (him seeing Benjen dying), the crypt dreams that haunt him.
During Simon’s fight with an ice dragon, he gets a scar to his left eye and also a lock of white hair and he is said to be “marked by the dragon”. Jon already has a similar scar but he doesn’t have a lock of white hair. Could he possibly acquire that post his resurrection as a hint for his true lineage? Simon also gains the nickname “Snowlock” because of his hair and well that sounds too similar to Jon’s surname.
At some point in the series, Simon falls into a coma state being between life and death. A little girl, Leleth, is showing him visions of the past, while princess Maegwin sacrifices herself transferring her energy to him so he can return to his body. For all we know, Jon is dead by end of ADWD but it’s obvious that Martin is far from over with his story. Could he possibly enter a state between life and death where someone (Bloodraven perhaps?) will reveal to him the truth of Robert’s Rebellion aka the secret of his birth? Also, Melisandre believes that she needs to sacrifice “two kings to wake the dragon” what if she does that believing that she will gain a stone dragon hidden within the Wall but instead she wakes the son of the dragon, aka Jon Snow?
It is interesting to mention here that Simon ends up the series as King of the Realm despite the fact that he was never among the candidates who fought for the Dragonbone Chair. He is the unlikely King. Likewise, gaining a throne couldn’t be further from Jon’s current mindset. However Jon, thanks to his Targaryen lineage and King Robb’s will, could end up becoming King of Westeros or King in the North. We are not saying that alternative endgames don’t exist for him, but him ending up as a King isn’t a far fetched theory, either. In case he does end up King, he could either rule alone or be a co-ruler together with his wife. After all, Simon - the character Jon’s was inspired from- was aided in his ruling duties by his wife Queen Miriamele.

💚 true love’s kiss / magic kiss / healed
for janaya
This gotten more angsty than I intended tbh. Mentions of blood, wounds and self sacrifice. IT IS HAPPY ENDING THOUGH. We just gotta get there first. You`ve been warned.
The battle was over. Janai, Amaya and the rest of their loyal soldiers barely managed to hold out against Karim and his army. Against all odds they held out against overwhelming numbers and the former dragon king Sol Regem.
The latter of which was the first to fall due to a clever ruse by Amaya and her troops. The humans had planty of time to hone their dragon hunting skills in the years before the the breach was opened.
With Sol down Karims army lost cohesion and give Janais forces the advantage they needed. Her army was loyal to her because the believed in her and Amaya. Karims army was more loyal to Miyana than him.
They were pushed back slowly but surely until the queen and her general reached Karim and Miyana. A brutal melee ensued with Janai taking on her brother and Amaya chasing after Miyana who was trying to get away with what was left of the Sunseed after Karim used it to heal Sol.
Janai made quick work of her brother, just like she did during their duel, and he soon found himself knocked out and being taken away. The queen immediatly rushed after the general and found both of them wrestling over the sunseed.
Miyana activated her heat-mode and had Amaya in a chockhold. The general was struggling with all her might but couldnt break free. She saw Miyana sunforge blade stuck in the ground infront of her. Reaching out for it with all the strength she could muster she managed to get a hold of the handle and rammed it through her chest. It pierced both her and Miyanas armor until it came out of the sunfire-elves back. The elf was desperately trying to pull the sword out but the general held it in place until they both gave in from the pain.
Janai could only watch in horror as Amaya and Miyana collapsed. The latter was no longer moving. Amaya sunk forwards on her knees. The sword still burried in her body. Janai rushed to her side and held her upright. She pulled the sword out of the humans body with a second thought.
She held Amaya tight while tears were streaming down both of their faces. "It`s over. We won." Janai said. "I got you." Amaya looked at Janais face and stroked her cheek. "Please" Janai plead "Stay with me." Just as she said this however, Amaya closed her eyes, her body went numb and her hand left Janais face.
"Amaya? No. Please. Wake up" Janai cried. "Don`t leave me like this" There was no response. She held Amayas lifeless body close to her chest. Looking into her lovers motionless face she saw a flicker in the corner of her eye. It was the Sunseed. Glowing with a rest of magic. She reached out and grabbed it. As she held it in her hand she closed her eyes and felt the magic flow through her. She never experienced anything like it.
The maic of the sunseed her filled with warmth and lifted her spirit. Almost like it was telling her to now give up. To save the one that gives her life meaning. Janai didn`t understand what was happening. It was if the Sunseed was guiding her. Giving her hope.
She opened her eyes and stared and Amaya. Mustering all the courage and hope left within her she leaned down, toucher her forehead with Amaya and pressed a soft kiss to her lips.
The sunseeds magic combined with Janais fire and her love for Amaya and flowed into the humans body. Janai could feel Amayas body tensing up and broke the kiss. Her body started to glow as the gaping wound in her chest slowly faded until there was nothing left except a light scar. Janai couldn`t believe her eyes. As Amayas heart started to beat again she bolted up, threw herself arround Janais neck and started to cry.
Janai embraced her love and held tight.
They had won.

YANDERE TWILIGHT SPARKLE
Tumblr media
OH BOY! You are probably not gonna to like this, but the game is rigged on her favour from the very beginning and so because she is the princess of friendship:
Her friends, Celestia, Luna,Discord, Starlight and every freaking creature who she is friend with will help her if necessary, they want and will make her happy and they will not let a single soul to make her depressed for the rest of her life just because of you want so , she deserved love and happiness all her life for them even if that means sacrifice you.
But when does this start? :
Twilight Sparkle had always been focused on her duties as a princess and all her free time will be spending reading books and be with her friends, but lately, she couldn't help but feel a little distracted.
There was just something about a new Pony/creature/human in Ponyville that caught her eye. You had your qualities (funny, smart, etc…) And your defaults (curiosity) and had a love for his passion that rivalled her own.
Every time Twilight saw you, her heart would race, and she would get a little flustered. She tried to push these feelings aside, reminding herself that she had more important things to worry about, like her job and her friends. But no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't shake you.
Twilight eventually confided in her friends about her feelings, and they were all supportive and understanding. They even helped her come up with a plan to get to know you.
After mustering up the courage to talk to you, Twilight learned more and more about you, you started spending time in each other with friends. You didn't know, actually, but that the beginning of the end for you as soon you became “friends” with her.
As Twilight and her crush grew closer and their love for you deepened, Twilight began to feel overwhelmed by the intensity of her emotions. She had never felt this way before and wasn't sure how to handle it.
At times, the feeling of love was so strong that it was almost like a physical force, consuming her completely. It was both wonderful and uncontrollable, and Twilight found herself struggling to keep up with the ups and downs of her emotions.
Despite the challenges, Twilight couldn't help but embrace this new feeling of love. It was a new experience for her and one that she was grateful to have. She knew that it would take time and effort to navigate this new territory, but she was determined to do so thanks to her loved ones.
But soon enough she is just become a yandere, and her feelings was too strong for her, she swears to have you as husband and so make you a prince whether you like it or not.
We finally attack the interesting part, and it doesn't even start that you have already lost! :
At the beginning, she will start to be very friendly and nice with you:
She make you your favourite food, do your favourite activities with you, to accompany you on your usual life with her and your friends.
She's beginning to be slowly too close to you, slowly enough to not alert you even worse make you believe that is a normal thing by making it a habit with only good side and with The Overton window.
My personal proverb says it: first it's a finger in your ass they ask you if they can continue, slowly then it's a hand, then the arm, and then it's an Olympic dive in your little butt if you keep letting them do that.
That will happen exactly like that with Twilight, you let her do what she wanted until that was too late to go away from her.
She herself is addicted to you, she wants you to be addicted to her, so she will use EVERYTHING she has: her Princess privileges and her money to give you everything on a silver platter, her magic to impress you, good moments with her, protecting you like her baby, forcing you to stop ruining yourself if you do, making you healthy and good and making sure to have quality time with you.
But Twilight wasn't perfect, she was scared every time you do something dangerous and so forcing you to stop that even if that is completely innocent for you.
She tries her best to control her emotions and yandere tendencies, so please don't give her a very good reason to release that except you want to end up in her castle faster than expected.
If you are somewhat dangerous to yourself like to do some dangerous things and get injuries because of that and some of your choices making you hurt, very bad sometimes, doesn't get surprised that Twilight just for your own good stop you and make most of your choices for you.
If freedom is making you hurt because of your own foolishness, then she will not make disappeared your freedom, just regulate it.
You started to notice something wrong, her family, her friends, your friends, and your family encourage you indirectly and sometimes directly (Rainbow dash and Applejack are the champions of that) to choose her as your wife for life.
Of course anybody tries to harm you will regret it, she will not kill them (except if really necessary) but she will make then sure that they don't do that again.
She was also getting more and more confident because of her friends, and so she seduces you and making you blush with her perverted smile.
For her, your body, your soul, everything you had included yourself was her after all. She totally wants and ready to have a little foal/child with you.
As time went on, Twilight's feelings for you only grew stronger, and she became more and more possessive.
She would constantly check in on you and make sure you were taking care of yourself, even going as far as hiring a personal chef to cook for you and hiring a personal trainer to make sure you were in top physical shape.
Her friends, her family, Luna and especially Celestia beginning to make you more and more close to Twilight Sparkle with some plans, they made a choice between you and her, they absolutely don't want to see a Twilight Sparkle completely desperate and depressed because of you !
They don't even want that for some of their enemy, so can you imagine for Twilight Sparkle ?! Your freedom will be sacrificed for her sanity and her happiness, you didn't want that? Well, too bad for you.
Cadance will be the last resort if you are too much a pain in the ass, you know what happens if you get caught with Cadance right? But that is the final plan if every other plans fail.
But unfortunately for Twilight, your curiosity tried to save you :
You wanted to said hi to Twilight but instead you smell the the blood , the guards not letting you come you passed them with magic/wings/whatever you had.
You hide and you saw a pony that you know trying to escape he was gravely injured and you saw the magic of the purple mare to drag him back to her.
You realize that Twilight was crazy:
You saw her beating the shit out of one of your enemies, he was a little too much insolent for her, after all he insulted you several times and so you fight with him, he hurt you terribly despite Twilight warning him.
You're not going to lie, you wanted to hurt him, badly even, but not to the point of beating him with a bat for fives minutes with his blood on your hands and a mad smile on your face.
Speaking of the face, the enemy's face became a pile of bloody mush, and you watch it with horror.
With Celestia and Luna looking at her and around to make sure that nobody know about it, you get away even if the guards almost catch you stalking (ironic.)
You get scared of her, you need to get out of Ponyville and live somewhere else, your body and your soul forces to do that.
You couldn't even think about get help from anyone except your very close friends, because nobody will believe you and even so they will always chose Twilight Sparkle over you !
Your parents for example try to convince you to be her husband just because she is princess of friendship and making sure that you get a happy and wonderful life and the best future for you and for your children too. Can't blame them.
The rest of the family, they just wanted to be part of royalty.
Freaking parents love for their children and selfish family.
You need to run away without leaving a trace except you want her but who?
You take the train? The train conductor will report it to Twilight, and you'll be fucked because Twilight will know what are you going to do by her intelligence and the fact she knows you, she will understand quickly, if not, she will even use magic without harm you to know it.
It was only a matter of time before she knows what you saw by looking into your mind at the night :
She often comes for night visits you while you're sleeping authorized by your parents with a smile and that saw your mind with magic to make sure that you're ok.
Your best friend help to get away from Ponyville, great !…
You tell everything on the way, he tells you that he got the same problem with Starlight Glimmer.
“ EXCUSE ME, YOU WHAT ?!” You said.
Ok, now that gonna to be very hard to escape.
As soon you get away Twilight will notice that you have gone at the night, she yelled on your parents and friends for not noticing that.
She will send guards, she will get a bad night of sleep before go with mane six and Starlight Glimmer to take you with her.
Celestia and Luna will take pleasure to hunt you at the day and the night because that the perfect excuse to get away from the life of a princess, and also wanting to help Twilight same for Cadance.
Shining Armor will do that only to please her sister, same for Mane six and Starlight Glimmer.
Discord will find you eventually but not capture you, he will try to make you give up, break your determination, and even he doesn't get that he will be amused to see you try to defy your destiny.
They find you, your best friend will sacrifice and you go away.
Starlight Glimmer will be happy, the second she gets him she will read the mind of your best friend and tell everything: your plans, your choices of where you're staying, etc…
Before get at the castle of Twilight Sparkle and get fun with him and making him your best friend, her husband.
Twilight will let her go, she can't blame her after all, she was planning to do the same to you.
Twilight find you in a full week at most, she will standing here with a sadistic smile, she get close you can't move of course because of her magic, she gets her hands/hooves on your face with a empathy smile and hug you before telling you to stop trying to resist, you can't possibly win so stop torturing yourself or she would do it for you.
The choice is yours:
Either you accept your destiny by your choice and so you will still remember everything, but you will be Twilight Sparkle on your side all your life, or you refused and get your memories erased and fall in love with her by the “WANT IT NEED IT” spell but you will keep your personality and you will be with Twilight Sparkle.
Either way you will certainly don't regret it because Twilight will take excellent care of you, she know everything about you and so she loves who to make happy.
But you will get a restricted freedom, she will make sure that you get away from problems, injuries and misery even if that's mean get on your way and stop you.

Sacrificed - By Jeong Ochan (8/10)
Tumblr media
What if you had a pet god? A pet god that is loyal to you in every possible way. A pet god that can change the seasons and age bodies to death with a sigh. What if your wishes and whims were that godly beings only reason for living? This sounds like a wish fulfilment story, but it's not. It's dark as hell.
This is available to read on the pocket comics app.
Princess Ludis is the spare. Her existence protects the real, spoiled princess Selena. Heirs with imperial blood can be sacrificed the gain the favor of a certain powerful god. The gods in this world do not see themselves as gods. They exist in a chaotic, miserable void before they are summoed. Their summoner is their savior, and they are loyal to that savior, but certain conditions must be met. A person must be sacrificed alive first. Then the next person the god meets must tell them their wish. Ludis is literally just meat for the meat grinder. Her father, the King, gave her the title of Princess just so she could be sacrificed. He is going to benefit greatly from her sacrifice.
Tumblr media
The King is a good liar. You can use a special book called Alpha to create the magic circles that summon these gods. The regular peasant citizens think only a royal sacrifice can summon the god they need. The nation is currently being eaten alive by demons. After Ludis is sacrificed the King will become a hero with the power of a god by his side. His rule will not be questioned for the rest of his life, even though he is incompetent. Since no one else knows how to use Alpha his power will be uncontested. He will be undefeatable and his land will prosper. He will simply be able to wish for crops to grow. His enemies heads will fall off as soon as they go against him. More responsible rulers chose not to use Alpha, because being the master of a god is the same as being a god, and that's too much power for one human to handle.
Tumblr media
Ludis does not die. The god she summons turns into a handsome man. He carries her out of the sacrificial chamber, and everything gets worse. The King is an unreasonable man. He wanted that power, and he doesn't respect Ludis. He only kept her alive to use her as sacrifice meat. He was supposed to become a living god. He can't handle the shame. The god, Lavane, forces him to bow to Ludis. Everyone immediately panics. No one was kind to Ludis, because he has a common mother and she was born with a crippled leg. Everybody treated her like an animal. Even her maids. They think retribution will fall on them all when she awakens.
Tumblr media
The King tries to trick Ludis. He gives her a bed. He lets her sleep in a fancy room that belongs to Selena. He makes everybody kiss her ass, but it doesn't work. Ludis has spent twenty years begging for love. She thought she was going to die in that cave. When her father sacrificed her she finally gave up on him. She tells him she won't listen to him ever again. He beats her because he's too stupid and jealous and awful to resist, but she calmly looks at him. This is who he is. She decides to accept that and run away from the palace.
Tumblr media
The King is not the main villain. One of Selena's ladies in waiting has a dark side. Lady Ivanya is smart, and she's even crueler than the King. She knows about Alpha. She spreads rumors. She wants everyone to believe that Lavane is not a real god, so they can try to summon another one. Lavane won't listen to anyone but Ludis, so he's useless to them. The King didn't try to summon a god to save his country. He did it to become an absurdly powerful hero. Ivanya wanted to benefit from that power. That's why she kisses Selena's ass, but now things have changed. She must use her knowledge of Alpha to find a new god.
Tumblr media
Selena is by far the stupidest character. She tries to beat up Ludis right after Lavane tells the maids to let her sleep. She is extremely spoiled and all of her ladies in waiting don't love her. They only love her power. Some of them want Selena to sacrifice herself next, because they want a god they can use more than they want Selena. She's a sad minor villain that doesn't realize how small she is.
Tumblr media
After that disastrous morning Ludis speaks with Lavane. He tells her she can do anything within his power. This castle could turn to ash in a flash. Her father cannot even breathe near her unless he allows it. People who are rude to Ludis always choke and run away. Her godly partner won't allow her to be disrespected, unless that's what she wants. Ludis tells him to back off, because she wants to leave the castle peacefully. She has never been beyond the main gate. She doesn't care about revenge yet. She just wants to be far away from her family.
Tumblr media
Ludis gets her revenge without even trying. Serephis is the man Selena loves. He is a true hero who has been fighting on the front lines. He has seen countless people die because of the demon invasion. Selena thinks he's the perfect prince candidate because he's handsome and good with a sword. He's also well respected, and his family has a high rank. Selena has been chasing him for years. Serephis used to tolerate Selena, but then Ludis leaves the castle. Serephis is engaged when he sees signs of abuse on the sheltered princess. She is their savior. Their hero, but the royal family has not been treating her preciously. The King tries to cover up the abuse, but Serephis is no fool. He wants nothing to do with the royal family anymore. He decides to escort Ludis to the battlefield instead.
Tumblr media
Ludis has to go into a warzone. Lavane cannot exist unless he's near her. He can kill the demons with ease, but Ludis must walk into their nest first. Serephis protects her well, and Ludis becomes more confident. When she sees people suffering she's afraid but she doesn't run away. She knows she can save them. She wanders through seas of dead bodies to reach the nest.
Tumblr media
Ludis changes. When the nest falls she realizes that her father doesn't deserve to be alive. He was only interested in protecting the rich cities near the capital. He was going to let most of the country die if he received godly power. Lavane is always in the background in this. He always tells Ludis that her wishes will move this world. He loves her, but he corrupts her. She changes. She decides to violently overthrow her family and become Empress. Her father has Alpha, but she has a truly loyal god. Lavane will not be by her side forever. He doesn't belong in her world, but he wants to spend every minute of his existence helping her. He tries to keep her in the dark, but Ludis finds more secrets. She becomes darker, and darker. Even though the nation loves her she thinks she is an awful person. Lavanes love and wishes can't save her from the hate in her heart. I'm pretty sure everybody in the castle is doomed.

Elain's Character:
“Will—will many of these soldiers die?”
“No matter what, don’t kill him. Please.”
But Elain had given it back—had pressed it into Azriel’s hands after the battle, just as he had pressed it into hers before. And then walked away without looking back.
And he knew the cruelty of the Hewn City troubled her.
..................................................................................
Azriel's Character:
What we did to the Attor wasn’t pretty.”
Az looked over his shoulder. The Attor had given him everything. Now it was just babbling to buy time. I pushed off the wall. “Break its legs, shred its wings, and dump it off the coast of Hybern. See if it survives.”
The Attor was already screaming beneath Truth-Teller’s honed edge when I left the cell.
The next, he’d blasted through Eris’s shield with a flare of blue light and tackled him backward, wood shattering beneath them.
Azriel dug his knee—and all his weight—into Eris’s gut. He was silent, utterly silent as he ripped the air from Eris’s body.
I held his gaze, though. Held that ice-cold stare that still sometimes scared the shit out of me. I’d seen what he’d done to his half brothers centuries ago. Still dreamed of it. The act itself wasn’t what lingered. Every bit of it had been deserved. Every damn bit. But it was the frozen precipice that Az had plummeted into that sometimes rose from the pit of my memory.
Azriel only said coldly, “If Lucien kills Graysen, then good riddance.”
Had been ready to challenge both Beron and Eris to Blood Duels and kill them both.
“I’ll defeat him with little effort.” Pure arrogance laced every word, but it was true.
Elain tries to be part of the Night Court but cruelty STILL BOTHERS her. They are discussing the Hewn City but torturing people, beating people up, gloating over being able to kill others, that falls under cruelty.
Killing a character because they are about to kill someone you love is one thing (as Elain did with the King), self defense too, but actually instigating and enjoying aggression against another is completely different.
I don't understand how this is so easily overlooked by anti's. She's trying to belong and make a home for herself sure. We haven't seen all she has to offer, sure. But how are we just explaining away the fact that cruelty bothers Elain but she'll magically be 100% ok with how much Az often talks about being fine with the deaths of those he doesn't deem worthy? How his job is the literal definition of cruel punishment?
Elain is a loving, understanding and caring person but people really want her to have to set aside her personal feelings about brutality for the rest of her life so she can end up with Az? They really want her to sacrifice what makes up a core part of her?
Everyone Lucien has had to harm has been in self defense. He killed one of his brothers because they had come into Spring to kill him first. Despite the fact that he struggles with the instincts of the mating bond he still has never gone and threatened or harmed Graysen.
...............................................................................
Lucien's Character:
“The bloodshed that would be required to earn that crown wouldn’t be worth it.
Well, I never want to fight in another battle as long as I live, but … yes, I’m in one piece.”
Lucien had encountered him, I realized. Somehow, in living with Jurian and Vassa at that manor, he’d run into Elain’s former betrothed. And managed to leave the human lord breathing.
The male had grown up alongside Eris. Had dealt with Eris’s and Beron’s cruelty. Had his lover slaughtered by his own father. But Lucien had learned to keep his cool.
Even when the instincts of the mating bond try to take over, Lucien fights like Hell against them because that's not who he wants to be. The bond (something which we know can mess with even the strongest of High Lords) tries to force a violent reaction out of him yet he refuses to give in.
"An uncontrollable instinct—for a mate to eliminate any threat. But he remained sitting. Even as his fingers dug into the arms of his chair."
He does not want to resort to violence.
I sent just the character quotes from above to friends of mine who have no vested interest in the series, whatsoever. They've never read it or heard me talk of it. This was their responses:
Tumblr media
"Blue guy is violent, so I don't think that would fit her."
(and I just realized I accidentally cut off a third of Luciens quotes 😂. They would have further solidified his disinterest in violence).
The second friend:
Tumblr media
I could have sent them the cute moments between Az and Elain but those don't really matter. There were cute moments between Feyre and Tamlin too. I'm sure if I had sent those, they would have assumed Feyre and Tamlin would have ended up together. You can have cute moments anytime you interact with someone you have a crush on. That's not what makes for a lasting relationship though.
What matters is that two people have similar goals, similar beliefs, and support one another as they grow.
Two nature loving individuals who have similar beliefs on how they want to live their lives and who both think things through rather than acting on impulse in an aggressive way sound like a much better match to me than whatever E/riel would be.

Submitted prompt: Universal Chaos
Hi, it's me again, and this time, I got another prompt to add to my "Universal Theater" and "Universal Oblivion" AU prompts.
But this time, it's a prequel to the "Universal Theater". Why didn't I think of this before is a question I am not interested in finding the answers for :)
Contains the beginning of Cosmic Actress (neopronouns: nix/nix/nix/nixself) and nix Amok Natasi (called Time-Clock at first, then changing the name to Natasi soemetimes later. uses the pronouns clo/loc/locs/clockself, used the same as she/her/hers/herself)
TW: character death (Gabriel and Nathalie, also André Bougeois, if you want to add more, do so, ESPECIALLY rich and abusive assholes:) )
Adrien salt (because the events happen in the canonical universe first).
Rjalker here. This is my favorite prompt ever. Here is my reaction throughout the entire thing:
Tumblr media
[ID: A screenshot from The Good Place show, showing a demon grinning widely, saying excitedly, while laughing, "This is so exciting!" The rest of the dialoge has been covered with a black line. End ID.]
====
"I'm... Tired of... All of this!"
Alya watched in horror as Marinette's expression looked murderous as she spit the words with venom.
The reason was not just because Chloe was the one that started the whole situation by calling her father.
It wasn't just because André basically tried to blacklist Tom and Sabine from ever opening their bakery again and kick them from the city because he felt like it, and because Chloe became more bold since her betrayal.
It also wasn't just because Marinette literally punched André multiple times in a fit of pure rage and knocked him out, as everyone looked with horror as he fell on the ground, a nasty bruise on his face and several broken teeth, Marinette's.
No, what made her terrified was the purple outline on Marinette's face, making it clear that Hawkmoth was corrupting her friend in front of her.
"Yes..." Marinette says, responding to whatever Hawkmoth is saying to her, "Giving people chances is all but useless! If being the good person is such a torment, let's see how things are from the other side!" Marinette states with fury, throwing away her earrings away in anger, no doubt, Hawkmoth's magic twisting her thinking process for his goals.
And Alya hates that she could do nothing to stop it.
The same purple bubbles appear, covering Marinette for a moment, before dispersing.
What stood in her place was a figure with a similar face and a different set of clothes. The eyes of the Akuma cold and uncaring.
Another figure appear alongside the Akuma, looking similar to nix, with a large circle behind loc. The circle had the numbers from one to twelve written in Roman.
"I am Cosmic Actress, and the one... who will teach you what it means to suffer." the Akuma stated with cold rage.
Alya knew at that moment, that her friend is no longer there.
====
Rage.
Hatred.
Desire to destroy.
These were the things that Cosmic Actress felt when nix was... born.
Born from Marinette's rage and hatred towards how her life was being destroyed, feeling like she was always going towards self-destruction no matter what she chose. As if her purpose for being born was to suffer.
Cosmic Actress understood that these feelings were Amplified and twisted. Twisted by the misused Butterfly Miraculous.
But nix didn't care about that.
These feelings gave birth to nix. Nix couldn't just abandon these feelings so easily. Not when they burn so painfully in nix heart.
Nix wants to hurt the idiots that harmed Marinette. Nix wanted them to see how it feels when they were the ones who have the choice stripped from them.
Nix felt as Time-Clock came to existence. The amok born of Marinette's lament at the many choices she was forced to make, the many things she had to sacrifice in the name of a responsibility that was never hers to do in the first place. A being capable of resetting and travelling through time and manipulating space as clo wishes.
A being under Cosmic Actress's full control, from what Mayura stated just one second ago.
Nix couldn't hide the repulsed expression showing on nix face.
Nix doesn't want to control another being! It was disgusting!
Even more, that was part of why Marinette had to suffer, because someone will always try to (and often succeed in) decide her choices for her!
Cosmic Actress immediately pointed a hand towards Time-Clock's Amokized object, the red hair ribbon that was now black.
"Shattered Chains." Nix intoned.
Like shattered glass, the black color shattered as the ribbon became red once more.
And nix could no longer feel the connection between nix and loc.
Neither could Mayura, the villain losing the connection to Time-Clock as well.
Clo is truly free from loc binding now.
"Hey! What did you-!" Mayura started to protest, but Cosmic Actress was already pointing nix hand at nixself before Hawkmoth and Mayura started screaming in nix head at what nix did next.
"Shattered Chains."
The voices of the villains were cut short along with their connection to nix.
The butterfly miraculous was no longer shackling Cosmic Actress. Nix power and freedom now truly belong to nix. Hawkmoth won't be able to hurt nix and rob away nix power like he did to the many previous akumas that disobeyed him.
Now that the little nuisance was dealt with for now, Cosmic Actress took a moment to look at the terrified looks of the escaping citizens, before looking towards where André Bourgeois' unconscious body was being lifted by his most-definitely very underpaid employees.
Now that won't do.
"Please leave. You are not my target." Cosmic Actress said to them, then looked at the Amok as loc looked neutrally at nix. "But if you want to stay, just don't get in my way." Nix added.
Clo gave a smile at that, and said, "It's fine. In fact, I would like to help you. Marinette's emotions gave me life. I want to avenge her as well. It's the least I can do for her. Even if I no longer have to obey someone else's orders." Clo answer was sincere, and loc voice was somehow neither high nor low, but somewhere exactly in the middle, perfectly gender-neutral.
Cosmic Actress nodded and accepted this answer, and focused nix attention towards the mayor once more. The underpaid employees had moved him, but that didn't matter, nix could still sense him.
He was not far away, only a few houses separating them.
Cosmic Actress and the Amok moved at the same time, easily jumping high enough to fly and avoid the buildings. And getting a good look at the still-unconscious mayor that was right below them, the underpaid employees having set him down, exhausted from carrying him. They were standing far enough away that they wouldn't be hit, luckily for them.
Nix raised a palm, energy condensing in front of it. "Oblivion Orb."
The orb rapidly hit the mayor and him alone, erasing his body in an instant.
And with that nuisance dealt with, Cosmic Actress pondered on who to select next.
From Marinette's memories, Chloe was a big source of suffering, but Hawkmoth and Mayura are worse because nix can deal with a weak civilian. Supervillains will be much more threatening.
And of course, another major nuisance is that bratty cat guy, Chat Noir. Nix will make sure to eradicate that bastard for his constant sexual harassment of Marinette. Marinette was forced to allow him keep his ring because of things out of her control and because she was guilt-tripped into doing so. But not Cosmic Actress. Nix will destroy him for what he did, and for being a horrible human in general.
There were also lesser sources of rage, like the populations' inability to understand that Ladybug's "NO" means "NO", not "maybe".
"..."
Supervillains and Chat Noir it is then.
Decision made, nix moved to search for the villains.
Clock-Time decided to help by using loc control over space and time to feel search for them.
The miraculouses have a slight effect on space and time around them thanks to them being powered by a concept (as far as nix and clo know for now) and that effect is what clo is searching for.
"... Not there... Close... No that's probably Tikki's Miraculous... Ah, in that direction!"
Nix followed as clo jumped towards the source.
And ending up in front of one large mansion belonging to one Gabriel Agreste.
Nix frowned.
"Agreste? you're sure? I don't doubt you but didn't Marinette investigate him?"
Clo thought for a moment, "But that was before Mayura appeared so..."
The point was clear. Gabriel had Mayura akumatise him to cover his tracks as Hawkmoth.
"After all, he can't be so stupid to akumatise himself without Mayura, right? I mean, that would be monumentally stupid."
Yes, that would be very stupid and nonsensical.
"By the way, before we start, I want to ask you- uhh, do you like the name Clock-Time, or... do you want to change it?"
For the first time in nix short life, nix felt awkward and unsure.
The name Cosmic Actress was in a way fitting for nix, and nix had chosen it nixself, but nix wasn't sure if the same applied to the Amok and wanted to make sure.
Clo blinked for a moment before smiling.
"Oh! Thanks for the concern! And... yeah. I don't like the name very much. So I will call myself... Natasi!"
"Natasi." nix repeated the name.
"Yes! Pronouns are clo/loc/locs/clockself! Used the same way as she/her/hers/herself."
Nix smiled at loc enthusiasm.
"Natasi, nice to be friends with you. I think I will keep naming myself Cosmic Actress, pronouns are nix/nix/nix/nixself."
Both smiled for a moment before focusing on the goal.
Natasi once more used loc power to get the exact position of the villains, then opened a portal directing to them.
Both were met with the sight of the two supervillains inside their lair, shocked out of their minds.
"You!" Hawkmoth yelled furiously as he raised his cane.
No doubt that he was so angry and frustrated at how easily the two broke from his and Mayura's control.
On the other hand, Mayura felt more... subdued. She looked just as angry, but it felt like she was only trying to.
'No doubt because of using a broken and damaging miraculous.' Cosmic Actress pondered.
Not that their anger meant anything. They both were no match for Natasi and Cosmic Actress.
Natasi simply pointed a finger at Mayura, and a portal opened in front of her so she could not escape, and was sucked into the portal.
"What did you-!" Hawkmoth's yell was cut short as nix punched his head with a force that would have exploded a normal human. Only his defensive suit protected him from the worst of the damage and he ended up being dazed for a moment as his body easily shattered right through the walls and he fell to the ground outside the mansion far below, making a crater in the pavement.
"Well, he is not dead yet. His suit is too strong to die from something insignificant like this. By the was, where is Mayura?" Cosmic Actress said as both jumped down on the ground to finish him off.
"Somewhere in the universe, probably dead already. Don't worry, I can get her miraculous back just fine. These things will not be scratched even by a black hole." Natasi told nix.
Reaching the ground as Gabriel was trying to stand, clutching his head from pain, nix raised a palm, ignoring the fleeing and screaming bystanders.
"Oblivion Orb."
The orb hit Gabriel head-on, and he screamed as he was forcefully detransformed, his suit unable to withstand that amount of damage. It did one thing right, though, it let Gabriel survive it.
With a flick of Natasi's hand, the butterfly miraculous was teleported into loc hand.
"Y- you...! How dare-!" Gabriel started to shout, but both ignored his furious screams, and Cosmic Actress just killed him.
"Good riddance." Nix stated as Natasi opened a small portal and extended loc hand, and bringing from it the Peacock miraculous. Nathalie's body was long destroyed by the forces of the cosmos, apparently.
With this, they only need to make a show and wait for the heroes to appear to get their miraculouses.
So both quickly went to the highest point of the Eiffel tower and nix spammed large Oblivion Orbs and with the help of Natasi, guided them towards a few more people.
There was Audrey, that rich abusive woman, Andre the icecream guy because he was a creep who can't take a "NO" from his customers and doesn't let them pick what they want, and most likely a queerphobe as well.
There was also that racist dude who basically went out of his way to cause trouble to Marinette's mother, and so is that cop, Rogers.
In fact, nix decided to just murder all the cops. They literally did nothing but obey a fascist mayor and solidify his rule. Plus, they were racists anyways. They deserved death.
After a minute or so of mass-killing unrepentant racists and jerks with large orbs of energy, the heroes finally appeared.
Well, the only ones Natasi and Cosmic Actress qualified as heroes were Carapace and Viperion along with Pegasus and Ryuko. Cosmic Actress wasn't so sure about the Ladybug-themed hero, but nix can vaguely recall that she is the former Rena Rouge since she was Marinette's confidant. Scarabella was her Ladybug-themed name, right?
Chat Noir is still not here. Not like it's surprising at this point. Nix recalls from Marinette's memories that th riche brat was starting to shirk his duties even more and being only a show for the sake of harassing her and enjoying her tormented look.
Oh wait, he is actually appearing. He jumps alongside the other heroes looking angry.
Did Cosmic Actress trouble him somehow for him to be this annoyed? Or maybe nix killed someone he actually cared about?
Oh no, nothing to worry about. He just started being passive-agressive to Scarabella because his "bugaboo" isn't here. The other heroes were at least paying attention to Cosmic Actress and nix friend even while telling him not to worry about Ladybug for now, because the villains are the real concern, but Chat Noir is not even looking. His is focusing his attention at Scarabella.
"As much as I can enjoy your excellent 'bonding experience'," Cosmic Actress started to call, the sarcasm heavy in nix voice. "I have other things to do right now. So give me your miraculouses and I will leave you alone. Except Chat Noir. We hate you personally." Nix stated in a matter-of-fact tone with the heroes getting even more tense at nix words.
Chat Noir apparently thought it was a great time to joke about the situation as he put his hand on his chest looking like a kicked puppy. "Meowch! This hurt me, Marinette! Am I really this unbearable to a girl like you?"
It took a great deal from both nix and Natasi not to just immediately and violently throw him into the sun.
Nix looked at him coldly.
"First, I am not Marinette. I am Cosmic Actress. I am also not a 'she'. I don't have a gender. I use the pronouns nix/nix/nix/nixself, remember them. I expect you to have at least some memory capacity in your head for things other than Ladybug. As for being unbearable, it's more like hating you for being a sexual predator incel."
It was very satisfying to see how his jaws dropping along with the rest of the group.
"What!?" He screamed angrily with his eyes narrowing.
Natasi just blinked as clo spoke with a smile, but what was coming from loc mouth was anything but gentle or sweet: "But what else can you call a guy who constantly asks for kisses and dates when a girl explicitly tells him to stop and refuses to stop, when he keeps attempting, and even succeeding in violating her boundaries?" Clo asked, "Remember when Gigantitan attacked and Ladybug was busy holding back the akuma, only for you, Mr. Totally-A-Gentleman, to decide to go for a kiss?" Clo pretended to think about it, then added, "Oh wait, that was also when thanks to your great help, Ladybug lost focus and the akuma destroyed Marinette's room and you only laughed at how funny the whole thing was! Who knew that watching someone you called a friend almost dying is so hilarious?
"Or maybe, you want us to talk about the times you were a very understanding partner by refusing to help Ladybug fighting an akuma because she didn't want to date you? You know? Like what happened when Frozer and Glaciator attacked? Oh wait, didn't you also try to guilt-trip Marinette into shipping you and Ladybug in the middle of the night when Glaciator came?
"Yeah, how romantic you are. Especially when Mayura almost stole your ring by using a fake Ladybug who only said that 'she' loves you and was about to kiss you. Such a shame that you were unable to see the trickery. Truly, Sentibug was a master at fake-acting and totally acted like Ladybug and not like your sick and twisted version of her that you want her to be~! So, is there any recent romantic actions Ladybug did for you? I mean, the last thing I can recall is her throwing you in the trash, which I guess was technically very romantic from your perspective, since she didn't just rip away the ring from your hands when she was the literal Guardian and had every right to find your identity or retire you completely."
Natasi and Cosmic Actress were both smiling at the shocked expression of the heroes, all of them horrified.
Because none of them knew of how Chat Noir acted when they weren't there. They never knew what he did when Ladybug, his victim, was the only witness.
Viperion and Scarabella looked horrified the most, and Cosmic Actress didn't know why, and wouldn't care right now.
But Chat Noir? He was also pale, and his body was shaking as he clutched his staff tightly. And nix could feel it.
Rage.
Rage at being called out and insulting his so-called love for Ladybug.
"TAKE THAT BACK!" He rushes with vengeance as his staff extends.
"Chat Noir, don't!" Viperion yells in warning, he tries to move and stop him. He can feel the danger. but it's useless.
Natasi raised loc hand-
And both Chat Noir and Cosmic Actress vanish from the tower.
Natasi looked down at the heroes neutrally.
"You don't need to worry about your... teammate. I am sure he will find himself in good company with Cosmic Actress."
Viperion doesn't hesitate on what to do. He will fix this mess! He'd already set the timer before he got here!
He slid the snake bracelet.
"Second Chance!"
...
Nothing happened.
He couldn't feel himself go back in time.
The rest looked at him in surprise.
"What? Why!?"
He looked in shock at his bracelet.
Natasi just sighed.
"Sorry, Viperion. I like you since you were supportive of Marinette but... I am not letting you interfere with this. So I just stopped time from being rewound by your miraculous. Sorry." Clo shrugged.
"And if you are wondering about where they were sent off, well..."
A sound of a large explosion reached their ears, from the direction where the Agreste mansion is located.
"There they are." Natasi finished.
======
"How dare you!?" Chat Noir snarled as Cosmic Actress ducked under another swipe from his staff, which easily destroyed another wall of the Agreste mansion.
Nix opponent looking vengeful.
"I dare, because I have basic decency. And basic decency says that you are a harasser!" Nix stated, anger clear in nix tone before blocking the staff with one arm, taking no damage.
"I love Ladybug! She's my love!" He roars angrily, "Cataclysm!"
Cosmic Actress felt nix blood boiling as Chat Noir kept saying he loves Ladybug, and he is even trying to kill nix most likely.
"Chat Noir. Do you really think yelling that phrase over and over will make me believe it!?" Nix shouted back, avoiding the Cataclysm and giving the so-called hero a kick that threw him to the wall. "If you really loved her, you would have accepted her feelings and stopped asking for kisses and dates! You would have stopped calling her names she didn't like! You would have respected her boundaries that she had made clear a hundred times by now!"
Chat Noir was already standing back up, but Cosmic Actress was already above him.
"It seems that for you, the word 'love'...!" nix yelled as nix fists hit Chat Noir, throwing him away so hard out of the mansion, the same way his father had been thrown earlier.
"Ugh!" He quickly stood up again only to find Cosmic Actress in front of him once more.
"It seems like 'love' is just a valid reason for sexual harassment as far as you are concerned! Right?!"
Nix threw an Oblivion Orb that hit his Cataclysm, and wasted his power as the two spells collided and the Oblivion Orb overpowered and wiped out the Cataclysm.
"Even when Ladybug lost her voice...! Even when Mayura made a fake Ladybug...! It seems that it doesn't matter how much time you spend with your 'beloved', since you only care about your twisted version of her that can only exist to be tormented and mocked by you! But this nonsense ends now!"
The last sentence was accompanied by Cosmic Actress' arms holding Chat Noir as nix looked at him with venom that made his eyes show shock and fear.
Nix hand easily ripped away the Ring, detransforming him.
Cosmic Actress eyes widened in shock as nix recognized the person who was hiding behind the mask.
"Adrien Agreste..." Nix said numbly.
=======
It felt ridiculous. So ridiculous.
The guy that Marinette fell in love with, because he was nice to her.
The guy that she suffered a lot for his sake. Where she had to allow her own birthday gift for him to be stolen and never tell him the truth because she wanted him to be happy. Where she felt ashamed of celebrating the leaving of her long-time bully because this insensitive brat loved Chloe his childhood friend so much more than he cared for any of her victims, including Marinette, the one who loved him because he was nice to her once...
And he is her harasser.
And Chat Noir... is what he is in the dark. When no one is looking.
Chat Noir is how he really wants to act. When there is no fear of repercussions and responsibilities to negatively impact him.
Cosmic Actress doesn't know what to feel; Horrified? Disgusted? Angry? Numb? Tired?
In the end, pure rage and hatred won.
"YOU...." Nix gnashed nix teeth from wrath. "DIE!"
A blast of energy came to existence, obliterating everything around nix.
Adrien along with the Agreste mansion and the surrounding houses ceased to exist.
All what was left was Cosmic Actress trying so hard to calm nixself back down. Nix body was shaking, and nix expression was still wrathful. Nix wanted to just obliterate the whole world, but barely, nix controlled nixself.
It would be several long minutes later that Cosmic Actress managed to calm down enough, and decided to deal with Scarabella and the rest.
Then nix will see if the Wish can help nix in attaining nix desires.
======
The battle with the rest of the heroes was basically a cake-walk.
There was nothing they can do.
Just Cosmic Actress was more than enough, but with the help of Natasi? It was basically like a level 999 monster fighting a newbie in all but name.
No matter how much they tried, it was all useless.
It didn't matter how much they resisted.
Defeat was the only option.
As nix wore both the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculouses along with the Butterfly and the Peacock, Cosmic Actress breathed.
"Natasi. I am going to use the Wish. Do you really want to follow me still? It might be dangerous." Cosmic Actress asked nix friend.
Natasi only smiled. "I'm sure. I want to be with you. Please grant this selfish request of mine."
Cosmic Actress could only shake nix head. Maybe having a friend with you in a rewritten universe will not be so bad.
Nix can only hope.
Nix breathed once more.
"Okay then. Tikki, Plagg, unify! I wish that---------!"
With that, the world turned into a rainbow as reality shuddered...
And changed. ========= END...
For now. ========= Well, this is it. the beginning of my AU.
Chronologically, this is the first one.
The second one is actually another prompt that I did not write yet. Would have written it as part of this prompt but I felt that the tone will be messed up way too much for my liking. Don't worry though, I will write it someday:) I hope.
Then Universal Theater.
And finally Universal Oblivion.
Goodbye! :)
(I literally love everything about this)

Villain Breakdown: Najma
Najma is a hard character to talk about because so much of her conflict is steeped in symbolism and parallels to a real-world event that I literally only learned about from this show. I was educated by the American public school system. I didn't even know Pakistan was a place that existed until my twenties.
As a symbol, there is a clear and unambiguous parallel that the show is drawing between the Clandestines involuntarily migrating to Earth and the Muslims involuntarily migrating to the newly formed state of Pakistan. But it's so heavily steeped in the history and culture of Pakistan that it's not something I'm super comfortable trying to analyze with my limited perspective. I see it. But I'm not really qualified to explain it.
As a character, there's something that's hilariously batshit about Najma. She acts with so much severity, intensity, and urgency. Leaping in the span of an afternoon from letting Kamala take the Bangle home to trying to murder Kamala for not turning over the Bangle RIGHT NOW. Murdering Aisha for the Bangle and casting Kamran to the wolves for his reluctance to kill everyone.
And then she flipflops and sacrifices herself for Kamran so easily. Kamala's like, "Have you tried caring about your son?" and BOOM, instant turnaround.
Her sacrifice would have been an easier sell for me if she'd been a more two-dimensional character. If she'd actually ever demonstrated any shades of caring about... Well, anyone, let alone Kamran. But she's such a one-dimensional card-carrying supervillain. The kind of entertaining scenery-chewing bad guy who fully knows that they're the villain of a superhero story and makes choices purely for maximized evilness. And that makes it really hard to believe she'd suddenly give up on going home and commit magic suicide for Kamran.
(I mean, it's implied that they can't get through the Rift; That going home isn't an option at all. But she blows that off and insists she's going to do it anyway seconds before her spontaneous change of heart.)
Najma's death reminds me a lot of Xu Wenwu from Shang-Chi. They're in much the same position. Faced with the horrifying revelation that the goal they've burned all their bridges to achieve was never what they wanted after all, they make a last second decision in their final moments to give their life for their son. They end their life not necessarily a good person - They'd probably do it all exactly the same given the opportunity - but doing one good thing with their dying breath.
But despite having much more time to tell her story, Najma's version of this comes across much weaker due to the choices made along the way. The decision to depict her as entirely evil in every possible regard where Wenwu's love for his family gave him nuance that fed into his sacrifice. And the decision to never truly confront her with the reality that what she's been chasing is a lie, making it questionable why she would suddenly turn her back on it.
Making either one of those choices differently could have sold it. If Najma blew off the horrifying truth but had a well-established love for her son, then we could have seen her voluntarily turn her back on her dream and give her life for his sake. Or if Najma was cruel and callous to her son but was forced to realize that she'd been chasing a lie all along, we could have seen her recalculate her values and have a startling revelation over the cruel sacrifices she's made to accomplish nothing.
But for a character who a) seemingly has zero compassion or love for her son and b) instantly rejects out-of-hand the idea that what she desires is not inches away from her face, I simply cannot fathom why she would do anything but go for it. Najma reaches her end with a level of nuance unearned by the rest of her journey.

Could I please request the people section of the asks for Jacqueline?
👁️ EYE - what color are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)?
Rose-red and intense, with white lashes. She has the kind of commanding stare that makes people snap to obey her.
🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they're lying?
Typically, no. Jacqueline is too honest of a person to be able to lie often or well— she actively dislikes it, finding dishonesty to be something beneath her morals. She gets stiff and awkward when she tries to lie, which makes the untruth difficult to hide.
👻 GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their "ghostly experiences", if any?
Not particularly, but she's not fully against the idea. With all of the bizarre things Diviners deal with on a regular basis, it wouldn't be a shock if something like ghosts could exist as well.
💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?
The emotions that she most struggles with are ones that don't fit in with her usual worldview. With a rigid idea of what's "appropriate" for a high-ranked Diviner to experience, Jacqueline doesn't do well when things deviate from the standard she's set for herself. She doesn't like losing control of herself or lashing out.
😭 CRYING - what makes them cry? do they cry easily?
Jacqueline is an emotional crier, but it's fairly rare. She's spent so much time living the harsh life of a Diviner that it takes quite a bit to actually distress her— the thing that's most likely to earn tears is the death of one of her allies, particularly one she was close to.
👊 PUNCH - are they quick to violence?
Sometimes. Jacqueline isn't an overly aggressive person, but if a difficult situation could be most easily solved through violence, she's willing to do what's necessary to handle it. When she does resort to those measures, she does her best to be efficient. Harming humans doesn't sit well with her, in general.
💢 ANGER - what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to?
Her high standards, definitely. Jacqueline is brutally strict with everyone she interacts with (including herself), and that strictness can make her hard to be around. She's also much too direct, and her propensity for overdoing things is often troublesome.
👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?
She's the oldest of ten siblings, and from a wealthy family with deep connections to the Diviners. Despite being more or less forced into their ranks as little more than a sacrifice, she doesn't harbor any resentment toward her family. It's better to accept her role in the world and give life her all than hate others for it.
😨 FEARFUL - when scared, do they go into "flight" or "fight"?
Fight, absolutely. Between excellent reflexes and years of combat training and experience, Jacqueline's first response to a significant threat is to take it down before it can kill her first.
💤 SLEEPING - do they fall asleep easily? what helps them sleep?
She tends to be filled with too much restless energy to easily find sleep— and training until her body is thoroughly exhausted is her go-to method of dealing with that. If she doesn't wear herself out, she'll struggle to calm down enough to properly rest.

I really love going to the "Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness" tag and seeing good reviews of the movie and there's this part where they say
oh and btw i didn't see Wandavision lol
AND IT SHOWS
the person that wrote the script DIDN'T CARE ABOUT WANDA EITHER and it fucking shows
I'm really really sad...
It happens every time with these things. There is a complex character with unique motivations and painful growth, someone that is one bad thing away from completely snapping, and when they do, they deeply regret it and try to undo the damage not because "it's the right thing" but because nobody deserves to suffer like they did.....
and people point at them and say "haha evil crazy lady"
[Yes, it's usually a woman (I wonder why 😁 )]
(rant under the cut) (yes there are spoilers)
If the villain of the movie had been idk, Mordo, or another version of Strange that snapped or something, the ending wouldn't have been so crappy. Hell, they did the same fucking storyline with 'What If...?' chapter 4, when Strange messes up his universe real bad to bring Christine back to life. And that man? The man gets his redemption. He is a little mew mew. He 'sacrifices himself for the greater good' and lives the rest of his life atoning for what he did.
Wanda is a caricature of herself. The Scarlet Witch my ass. It was just an excuse to validate the 'evil crazy lady' thing they had been pushing her character into until now.
For what? For her ending to be "oh nooooo, i had become a monster oh noooo i will collapse this building over meeeee". It took what? 3 minutes? 5 minutes, tops? In a 2 hour movie that did some amazing shots showing a bloodied and red eyed crazy evil lady she suddenly changes her mind because her kiddies are like ¨noooo, evil crazy lady please dont kill usssss"
Give me a fucking break
Michael Waldron, the writer, is not good! I checked who the hell was this man and why I hated the movie so bad and lo and behold, he did Loki and the 5th season of Community. Guess what are the main complaints about those two?
Bad writing.
I am not saying that everything bad about this movie is because of this 1 man, but...
I am so angry
Let's not fucking start with the whole "yeah she's a good person but at the end of Wandavision she was reading the Darkhold so she was planning this all along and had been playing nice 😆"
No????
It is explicitly said in the movie that the Darkhold "uses your deep desires and corrupts you completely" and that "it's influence is almost inescapable" and when Dr Strange has to use the Darkhold everyone is like ohhhh, please dont go to the dark side, we love you, I have your hand, etc etc etc
Wanda? Nah, she's just a crazy bitch. She deserves to die. Darkhold? What Darkhold influence? She's been evil from the start!
WANDA LET GO OF HER DREAM BECAUSE SHE KNEW THE CONSEQUENCES OF FORCING IT TO BECOME REALITY
She just wanted to learn how to use her magic so it didn't happen again. Nobody ever cared about her or trained her. The people that cared, died for a cause that wasn't theirs.
How freaking sad is that?
(and people would know if they saw Wandavision)
(In any case, this movie acts as if Wandavision didn't happen so 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️)
MoM could have been such a great movie and it's so disappointing that nobody cares that if you take away the horror elements, the flashy CGI and the recognizable faces there's a really bad story behind.
Everyone that liked the movie. Good! I had a really good time. The pacing is great and the acting is fantastic!
But please stop praising it's plot for having "new ideas" and "daring plotlines". No. It is trash. The story is bad. We can enjoy things that are bad, but it is still bad.

Starlight Dream - Chapter 52
“And all the players are here!” Kaguya said, arms spread wide. “To witness my rebirth!”
“I see Reiko’s death doesn’t bother you,” Seina replied, mouth in a firm line. “But I suppose she was never a friend.”
“Never,she served our purpose.”
“Tsk, figures.” Takako clicked her tongue. “But what do you get out of this? You realize what your partner is?”
Just thinking about it made Seina’s blood boil. Of course, that blight had returned to haunt her. This creature was responsible for everything she and everyone else had suffered.
“It matters not.” Mei unsheathed her weapon, its steel glinting starlight from the countless pinpricks of light above. “To obtain what I desire, I’ll sacrifice anything. Kill anyone.”
“Why not work with us, then? We can help you.” Seina said. “No one else needs to die!”
“Empty promises,” Mei replied, tone emotionless. “The Fairy Queen couldn’t help me, and neither can you.”
“Then maybe it wasn’t meant to be, dumbass,” Arisu said, finally speaking. “You gets to a point where you need to accept reality, Mei. What makes you think Kaguya can fulfill your greatest wish?”
For the first time, Mei showed genuine emotion, clenching her teeth behind her metal face mask. “It doesn’t matter. How could you understand what I’ve suffered?”
“We’ve all suffered! I’ve had a hard life, too.” Seina said. “But you can’t allow your pain to define you.”
“Diligence wouldn’t have wanted this. She…” But Charity didn’t get a chance to finish.
“Enough.” Mei’s eyes hardened. “Your words are meaningless. You oppose me, and now you must die.”
“There you have it. Seems like Mei wants war. Ready to play, my heroes?” Kaguya stepped back, vanishing into nothingness.
“Hey!” Seina said. Where was she going?
“Typical Kaguya, letting others do her dirty work,” Arisu said, summoning her staff. She covered her face with a cloth mask. “Fine by me. I’m looking forward to trashing this traitor.”
“Yeah! I don’t care what your reasons are,” Seina said, summoning her staff. “The nightmares stop!”
“You realize we got lucky with Reiko, right?” Emiyo said, sighing. “But never mind. I’m seeing this through.”
“Pain is no excuse,” Himari said. “We all have hardships we must bear. You have no right making life worse for everyone else just because you’re suffering.”
“I don’t need to give some pithy speech about justice. I want to kick your ass so I can live peaceful days of just reading manga!” Takako said, her ribbon dancing around her.
“Useless.” Mei’s cold eyes stared at them, levitating herself into the air. “Shall I show you true terror? Dark form change.”
Darkness gathered around the girl, her usually black armor gaining another dimension of despair. Ebony feathered wings spouted from her back with white tips. There, the imperial Devil Princess floated above her enemies, a god giving judgment no those foolish enough to oppose her. An aura of evil washed over everyone, choking them with her pure malevolence. It drove the breath from Seina’s lungs, making her legs tremble with fear. What was this magical girl? Had she discovered a level of power above the rest of them? Like Reiko, Seina sensed something sick about this new form. It was a perversion of a magical girl.
“Erase,” Mei said, extending a hand.
Pain filled Seina’s entire being, overloading her senses. Years passed, agony became her entire being. Or was it only seconds? Seina could hardly tell either way. Through stinging eyes, Seina forced them open. Darkness surrounded her, making her wonder if she was dead. No, that wasn’t true. Pinpricks of light caught her attention, making Seina realize she was still in Starlight Dream. The force of the blast must have blown her clear. But she froze when she realized she’d made an incorrect assumption.
“What?” Chunks of what remained of Starlight Dream floated suspended in space. A quarter of the planet was just gone, vaporized to dust. Only the spike holding Kaguya’s body remained intact, an eternal line protruding from the piece of rock. Light shot from along its cracks, the core of Starlight Dream undamaged by the blast.
“You did well to survive, girl.” Terror spiked down Seina as she gazed up to see Mei floating above her, gazing down at an insect that foolishly opposed her.
“Stop this insanity! You’ll destroy everything!” Seina pleaded. Hadn’t enough people died already?
But Mei only snorted in contempt. “Nothing about it was worth saving.” Seina gasped as reality seemed to melt and shimmer from the magical girl’s mere presence. Reality itself couldn’t contain the Devil Princess’s monstrous power, nor did she care to restrain it.
But Mei cared little about her pleas, raising her sword for battle. Seina tensed, ready to fend off whatever attack the Devil Princess planned on mounting. It’d been a naïve assumption. With impossible speed, Seina found Mei’s blade posed to cleave her in half. Steel clashed as Seina raised her staff to deflect the blow, but reality tumbled as their weapons clashed. The starlight scattered to the solar winds, the universe-shattering to pieces from the sheer might of Mei’s sword.
Seina screamed, clutching her head. She caught glimpses of people, worlds, and entire histories, only for them to pop like a soap bubble, lost to the void. Hundreds of worlds filled her vision before they lost their substance. Much to Seina’s horror, she realized what was happening. Mei’s attack had cleaved apart a piece of the multiverse, and the Devil Princess had only been playing with her.
“No, please! Don’t do this!” But Seina’s desperate pleas fell on deaf ears as the Devil Princess wailed on her, each blow coursing unimaginable pain through her body. Tears welled in her eyes at the senseless destruction, her pain seeming a drop in the bucket compared to the senseless destruction this monster caused. Every bone in Seina’s body shattered as Mei delivered a sudden kick to her midsection.
“Now, do you understand the pointlessness of this battle?” Mei said, watching the wheezing Seina with complete dispassion. “You fought for nothing. You led a pointless battle, Seina. Your entire existence is pointless.”
“No!” But Seina fought to regain a battle pose, ready for another round. “Too many people are counting on me.”
“How childish. Do you know what my battles as a magical girl have taught me? That existence is fleeting. See how I snuffled out the lives of countless trillions in seconds? Nothing about this existence matter. It is only pain and suffering. In fact, you could say I’m doing them a service by ending their pathetic existence. I’m breaking the circle of Karma. What’s the point of life and rebirth if it only means pain?”
Irrational anger washed over Seina, boiling her blood. Everyone had something in their past that brought them pain. Heck, Seina suffered one of the worst days of her life only a couple of days ago. But people learned and grew from it. Mei had no right to cause such pain for her selfish reasons.
“That’s insane.” Power rushed through her as Seina’s conviction grew strong. “You’ve let your pain define your existence but forgotten everything wonderful about life.” The sound of her sister Seiko laughing echoed in her ears. That love urged her to fight and win.
But Mei cared little for Seina’s words, raising her blade to cleave her childish opponent to nothing. She grimaced as beams of energy shot from nowhere, blasting her back.
“Too true!” Takako said, her ribbon dancing around her. “Who wants to dwell on their pain their entire life? Besides, there are still too many cool mangas left to read!”
“Erase.” Mei charged again but hit nothing but empty space as dozens of illusionary Seina appeared to confuse her. They giggled and danced around, mocking the Devil Princess for her mistake. Each Seina copy blew apart from a single swing of Mei’s blade, but they’d only been a distraction. The Devil Princess grimaced as Takako and Seina struck her as one, staggering her back as their fists stuck into her armor. While doing minimal damage, they’d hurt her. A single swing of Mei’s blade drove them back, Seina’s head ringing from the sheer after-effect of Mei’s aura.
The Devil Princess wailed on them harder, their atoms screaming in agony from each blow. But they fought back. Seina summoned hundreds of bubbles and Takako used her ribbon to guide them with an invisible wind. But Mei danced around each bubble as Takako threw them in an unpredictable pattern. The Devil Princess was too agile, dodging even when Seina’s friend teleported her bubbles across the battlefield. Whenever one approached, it just burst to pieces from an exertion of Mei’s malevolent will. To demonstrate the hopelessness of their plight, Mei snapped her fingers, and each of Seina’s bubbles popped harmlessly.
Impossible. What was this power?
“Simple. I’m not like other magical girls. No gimmicks. I am a force of nature, that’s all.” Mei replied to the unasked question.
Dread seeped into Seina’s bones, wondering if they’d entered a hopeless battle. The other Devil Princesses, while powerful monsters, weren’t immune to her tremendous strength. But Mei made her seem like a harmless breath of air trying to blow down a mountain. Was this it? Had Seina finally met her match?
“Gah!” Mei yelped in pain as one of Seina’s bubbles exploded against her head, blowing her back. She shook her head, trying to regain her senses. More bubbles appeared from nowhere, blasting the Devil Princess back. What was going on? Another trick from Takako?
“You’re too reliant on your raw strength,” Emiyo said, using her hoop to guide Seina’s bubbles like a conductor. “You’re nothing but a blunt instrument.” Seina got it. Her friend had pulled her bubbles from the past for this surprise sneak attack.
“Tsk.” Mei scowled from behind her mask. Much to Seina’s dismay, her bubbles popped on an invisible barrier as Emiyo tried repeating the trick.
“Look out!” But Seina’s warning came too late.
A pained gasp escaped Emiyo as she stared at the sword impaled through her chest. Her body convulsed, and a dark mist leaked from the wound. The mist reversed course as Emiyo reversed time on her mortal injury. But she succumbed to the pain, the former lieutenant’s body joining limp as her life force died.
“Emiyo,” Seina said, her voice quiet and hoarse, unable to believe her eyes. Takako only stared, struck with wordless horror.
“How about I show you my power?” Mei said, all conversation. “Destruction. My ability allows me to destroy anything. Like your bubbles, for example, or a magical girl’s life.”
“Emiyo.” Tears spilled from Seina’s eyes, unbidden. While she hadn’t known the haughty girl for long, they’d been friends, comrades. Like Ume, Seina had been helpless to save her friend. This was too much. How could they defeat this monster?
“Anyone else?” Mei said to the void. “Coming to rescue your friend in another futile, heroic gesture?”
“Destroy. That’s all you can do,” Himari said, appearing from nowhere. Her voice was quiet, devoid of any emotion. “Little wonder Arisu considers you unworthy of being a magical girl.”
Despite herself, this struck a nerve, and Mei scowled. “That halfwit thug shouldn’t talk. As if she’s any better.”
“But no more. I won’t allow you to kill anyone else,” Himari said.
“Really?” Mei said, amused. “A failure of a magical girl fighting against a Devil Princess?”
“You’re right,” Himari said, her words frigid ice. “I hid, too scared to fight back against your cruelty. I sometimes cried myself to sleep, hating my powerlessness. But no more.”
Then, Himari became everything. She filled the sky, encompassing the entire universe. She became all existence, every atom. Mei’s composure broke, a wave of uncertainty washing over her. She hadn’t expected this meek girl to have such a powerful ability. Himari had finally shown the true extent of her power.
Reality shook as the two titans clashed, unleashing their terrible power against each other. Seina could only watch in awe as the shockwaves from the impact of their exchanges blew her back. Invisible blows bombarded the winged magical girl, overwhelming her with their ferocity. But Mei refused to back down, her blade tearing furrows into the fabric of reality. The multiverse rumbled as Himari screamed. Colorful ribbons of rainbow trickled across space.
“We need to help her,” Seina said, grimacing as a shockwave almost knocked her senseless. More ribbons of rainbow crisscrossed across space-time as the Devil Princess tore apart their friend. Despite her higher form, Himari couldn’t match the devilish magical girl. At this rate, the void would consume everything if they didn’t stop this battle.
“What now?!” Takako said, voice verging on total panic. “This is beyond anything we can face! Just getting close could vaporize us!”
“We must!” Seina gripped her staff tight.
“I was afraid you’d say that.” Takako rubbed her temple before beaming. “I’m in. Besides, you get numb to these hopeless battles after a while.”
Her friend’s expression turned serious. “But how can we approach? We might get crushed like an ant by accident.”
“Lucky you’ve got a clairvoyant on your side,” Arisu said, appearing from nowhere. She looked in terrible shape. Her left arm hung limply, her red dress torn to bloody rags.
“What happened to you?” Seina said, shocked.
“While I was helping your friend escape the chaos, Kaguya ambushed me. Kiyojiro is safe, but that demon put a number on me. Escaped too, but she won’t interfere.”
“That’s something I guess.” Seina sighed, relieved her bodyguard was okay.
“But I will not lie,” Arisu said with uncharacteristic seriousness. “The future looks bleak. It’ll likely choke us to death before we even get close. The slightest slip will scatter your atoms across the cosmos.”
“We can’t abandon Himari,” Seina replied. “I’m ready, regardless of what happens.”
“Can we stop fretting and go already?” Takako said, shrugging. “I’m tired of fearing the future.”
“My kind of girls,” Arisu said, her mouth extending into a wolfish grin. “Stay close on my heels.”
Weapons in hand, they charged forward into the chaotic whirlwind, primal winds battering against them. Seina cringed, skull throbbing as colors and images dazzled her eyes with confusing and ever-shifting patterns. But they fought forward, Arisu guiding them through the worst of the cosmic storm.
When they approached the battlefield proper, they found both combatants beaten and battered. Mei bled from the stomach, her wound refusing to heal. Her opponent, Himari, existed as only vapor among the void, her essence beaten beyond its limit. When her eyes settled upon her rescuers, they were frightened but hopeful.
Himari howled, releasing a gale that rocked the cosmos as it struck the winged Devil Princess. But Mei’s blade only batted it aside, unbothered by such a weak attack. But it’d only been a distraction, leaving Mei open to the true attack.
“Gah.” Mei howled as Arisu’s staff impaled itself into her gaping wound, screaming in utter agony as the Wicked Queen’s holy magic tore her insides apart.
A fist pummeled the Devil Princess in the face as Seina unleashed her pent-up indignation, bashing her with everything she had. Takako blasted their opponent with beams that seared the eyes, leaving black scorch marks across the Devil Princess’s skin. Yet, it still wasn’t enough.
Seina screamed as a backhand crushed her skull, staggering her. Arisu charged to her aid, but it was a futile gesture. The Wicked Queen screamed as Mei’s blade almost gutted her with a slash too quick for the eye to follow. More beams shot against Mei, but their effectiveness proved minimal against such a foe.
“Is that really all you have, heroes?” Mei said, her wings flying her to a superior height.
“Damn it. If only I still had my Sunrise form.” Arisu spitted blood, annoyed.
Sunrise form?
“That’s why you get for surrendering power, Wicked Queen. Kaguya told me all about it. You couldn’t bear to kill a friend, so you sealed her away instead. Pathetic. Your kindness doomed the multiverse.” Mei said.
“Shut up,” Arisu replied, unimpressed by the Devil Princess’s insults. “I don’t abandon no one in my protection. That’s the code I’ve already followed as guardian of Daini Kameido Junior and the cosmos. I don’t expect a psycho like you to understand.”
“Well, it matters little now,” Mei said. “Once I end this nightmare of a multiverse and become GOD, maybe you’ll be reunited with your old friends.”
“Is that what Kaguya promised you? A brand new multiverse?” Arisu said, incredulous. “She’s a vampire. All she ever promises are empty oaths.”
“It was worth a try. If not, I’ll happily embrace the void.” Mei replied. “The void beacons me.”
“How could a vampire recreate the multiverse?” Seina asked, incredulous. “They’re parasites!”
“Not if she absorbs the essence of Starlight Dream,” Arisu replied. “It’s what Slithcar tried, much to his regret.”
“If life has taught me anything, you can fix what’s broken now,” Seina had seen her people restore what the vampires had destroyed firsthand. Every day, they restored society for a better future, so their children had better lives than they did.
“Is that what you think?” Mei broke into uproarious laughter. It contained no warmth and mirth, only hatred. “You know nothing about pain, child.”
“But!” Seina screamed as a blow caved in her chest cavity. Mei wasn’t interested in killing Seina. She wanted to hurt this upstart for talking back to her better.
“Seina,” Himari said, rushing to her friend’s aid, only to howl as a sword stabbed through her essence, dissipating it.
“No.” Seina’s voice wavered, her pain forgotten by her heartache. With Himari gone, reality returned to normal, exposing them to the void.
“Tsk,” Mei said, annoyed. “I’m not even certain I killed her.”
“Bastard!” Takako unleashed everything after the Devil Princess, summoning countless orbs across the sky. Each exploded, sending random beams that seared everything in their path. But Mei only flicked a wing, dissipating each beam with ease. Takako had pushed her abilities too far, sagging from pure exhaustion. Mei turned her back to the girl in utter contempt.
“Seems it’s only you and me now, Wicked Queen,” Mei said, turning towards the only threat remaining. “And from your expression, you don’t see any hope in your future, do you?
“Just fight already. Enough posturing,” Arisu replied, inviting the Devil Princess to fight with a flick of a finger. But the Wicked Queen’s staff shattered to splinters from the force of Mei’s blade. The next swipe almost gutted Arisu, the elder magical girl dodging the fatal blow by a hair.
“It’s over. I’ve won, Wicked Queen,” Mei said, satisfied with herself.
“No,” Seina said, stunned. After everything, after every hard-fought battle, they fail now? Never! It meant Ume and Emiyo died for nothing! “You won’t win!”
Seina charged, not caring how reckless or useless her attacks were. She refused to surrender. Mei dodged with casual ease, but Seina only fought harder. Blood stained her dress as the Devil Princess slashed and stabbed her, but Seina continued fighting. She couldn’t lose, not after everything!
“Useless,” Seina screamed as the blade stabbed through her, coughing blood. Mei’s cold eyes stared into her, enjoying the helplessness of her prey. It’d only take the slightest exertion of her power to erase Seina forever.
“No!” A blade stabbed through the Devil Princess’s chest. Even Arisu was surprised by the sudden appearance of Seina’s rescuer. A kick drove the Devil Princess back, freeing Seina from her blade’s bite.
“Colten, Paliah!” Seina said, her voice a whisper as her partner cradled her.
“Of course, you’re my partner, Seina,” Paliah replied, smiling down at her.
“What are you?” Arisu said, somewhat baffled. “Your magic, it’s like a magical girl, but you’re a fairy too?”
“I’m Seina’s guardian,” Paliah said, turning his blade towards their foe. “Anything else is immaterial.”
But Mei only released a derisive snort. “And now you’re the protector of nothing.”
“No, Seina, Paliah, flee!” Arisu said, but she was too late.
“Before Seina could even blink, a sword was already stabbing into her, glowing with malevolent energy. But the pain stopped, blinking in confusion as she found herself in another location altogether. What the? Seina froze as it revealed a horrible truth to her.
“Gah!” Paliah coughed blood, the Devil Princess’s blade impaling right through his heart.
“Not quite what I intended, but I look forward to seeing your partner broken after your death, fairy.”
“No! Colten!” But Seina was too late, her best friend vaporized as the Devil Princess unleashed her power onto him. Only strands of white hair remained as the last fragments of a loyal friend.
“Colten, no! Colten, no! Colten, no!” Seina clutched at her head, repeating those two words in a never-ending manta. Reality shattered as her entire world died.

[ 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨'𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 ]
Astro was never a demon to begin with.
This is his second life. He isn't aware that this is his second life, but he knows something is wrong with him because he cannot remember anything about his childhood. The reason for that is because the conversion of him turning into a demon required a sacrifice on his part and he decided to give up his memories.
In his first life, he never used to be like this. He was named Orion, after a constellation that shone brightly in the sky and more recognizable than any other. Someone foretold that he would be the change in his family. But his family wasn't having any of it.
They were also known as the Council of the Basilisks. Known for their cunning, their deviousness, their strategic ways, and most importantly, their Founder, they were the stars of the show everywhere. They did everything they could to be worthy of their founder, although none of them were the true descendant of the Founder. However, they avoided the dark truths that would come to light. Orion was one of them. According to a prophecy they had received, Orion would change the dynamic of the Council. He would no longer be a Basilisk, he would change into someone else. With his leave, the Council would crumble. One twisted woman stated that if the Council were to crumble, so would the world. There was no other choice than to sedate the child.
Orion was very young, maybe ten at the time. But he was already forced into no longer feeling emotions way before that. Any emotions would not be tolerated. From happiness to sadness, he was only allowed to be monotone at all times. But when he turned eleven, it all changed. The woman that stated he needed to be sedated decided it wasn't enough. He needed to be hidden. He would be the experiment that they had all wanted to work on.
Orion was subjected to a multitude of poison tests, yet none of them seemed to work on him. The poisons worked on the rest of them but not him. The woman stated that he must have been cursed with the Snake's Tongue and the only way to get rid of it was to hex him while he was alive. The process would be done the next day. Her secret plan was to take the curse for herself so she could prove she was a descendant of the Founder.
Up until then, Orion had never felt fear. Yet during the entire experiment, feeling every bit of hatred from his family, he slowly faded away. But his one wish was to surpass them somehow. His dying wish was to ensure that the family wouldn't get what they wanted.
A voice asked him if he wanted to live. He did not hesitate to say yes. The voice responded with, "What will you give me in exchange for your mortal soul?"
"My memories."
"How curious. Would you not like them in your second life?"
"No. Will I become immortal?"
"Of a sorts."
~
"Do what you must." Orion died surrounded by his family, cast away from them for being different and the reason they would fall.
They didn't realize that Orion's death would inevitably cause them to destroy themselves.
When Orion awoke, he didn't know where he was. He could only hear a voice in his head saying, "Astro. Your name is Astro. Find the end." He knew his name but not the second part.
Soon, he started learning more and more about himself, starting from his ears and eyes to the magic protuding from his fingertips. He had become a demon and sacrificed himself for it. He would never have to know about the Council of Basilisks again.
He would never have to know that he was the true descendant of the Founder.
He could not be poisoned for he was the one immune to poisons. Astro was lost in this new world, full of carriages and horses and the occasional ball gown at a marketplace. He did not know what year it was, but what he did know was that he had his entire life ahead of him. Adapting wouldn't be hard.
Astro kept up with the trends through the years. He finally entered the current era and decided that due to his boredom, he would become an idol. Thanks to his looks and talent, he was able to get contracted by an agency quickly. However, he did not want to be alone. He got positioned with three other aspiring idols. Soon they were on their way to becoming a famous idol group.
His entire act was to be the oldest and the fun one. So he was. Yet something deep inside of him consistently said there was something wrong with him. He tried to ignore it until he collapsed onstage in one of his concerts. He was taken to the hospital, where they could not find anything wrong with him. Then, he was taken to a medium, who told him that due to something occurring in his past life, he would always carry guilt at feeling emotions. He needed to practice his own magic to eliminate his own guilt. He needed to heal himself without the help of others.
In order to do that, he had to study to become a good mage. His group is on hiatus, not because he is at NRC, but because of his end goal. The other three know and are covering up for him. But Astro knows that his guilt is not an emotion. After all, his emotions were disposed of, right?
The guilt is a curse, placed on him before he died by the Council of the Basilisks.

I keep coming across comments (both here and in "official articles") about Alma being a narcissist, or the Casa Madrigal being a narcissistic household, or the Madrigal triplets and grandkids being survivors of narcissistic abuse, and I keep wondering how so many people have come to that conclusion. And I'm not being sarcastic, I honestly wonder why, since I feel quite confuse about it.
Why do people think Alma is a narcissist? Because she was given a magical candle and thought such magic was the only way to keep everybody safe, thus she felt forced to assume the responsibility and dedicated her entire life to her people, setting such a high standards about what had to be done that her family crushed under the pressure? Is that what they find narcissistic?
Though I'm not an expert in the matter, I know what a narcissist is, and I can understand why someone could think Alma fits the symptoms, but... at the same time, I can't help but think that's an absolute misreading of her character. Because:
1) She has never sought her own glory, her own recognition or her own benefit.
2) She's obsessed with control because she's paranoid due to her trauma, so her biggest fear is that things could get out of hand and her family could suffer again.
3) She doesn't mistreat Mirabel because she thinks she's inferior, she just has no idea of what to do with a giftless nieta, since their whole lives revolve around the magic that keeps the entire town safe. This specifically is a very complicate point and it doesn't have (necessarily) to be related to any contempt at all. Sometimes we make feel useless some of our loved ones without meaning it, just because we think they couldn’t do whatever task we have in mind for whatever reason. I'm the only woman among a lot of siblings and there are a lot of things my brothers did and I was discouraged to try because it could be "dangerous" for a girl, for example. I myself am always fretting about letting my niblings do things I think could hurt them or be dangerous or that they’re not ready to manage, to the point of being too overprotective (and I'm aware of it, even if I try to change my behavior). We often get stuck in the "you can't do this" side of the subject, instead of giving an opportunity to the "you should be allowed to try". Is that a healthy attitude? No. Should people encourage their children instead of limiting them? Of course. Does that attitude mean our elders hate us and see us as inferior creatures? Well, no. There's a huge difference between "my abuela asked me to step aside during the preparations of the party" and "my abuela kicked me out as if I were a useless shit". Let’s not forget that Alma asks Mirabel to step aside when Mirabel has just set her “surprise” on fire. It had been an accident, yeah, but her abuela only saw the result.
4) She has high expectations and pushes everyone (herself included) into perfection because she thinks all of them must be perfect for the sake of the whole town's safety. And the family follows her lead because every Madrigal knows and understands how important their task is, a point that many people tend to ignore when they analyze this. Also, thinking about Alma's obsession about perfection makes me realize how many things are intertwined there. If everything is perfect, that means there are no problems to worry about: everything's fine, everything goes fine, they're not in danger. But "this is perfect" is also a mantra, as much as the "I'm fine" one, because Pedro died to give them that life, so that life can't be anything but perfect to be worthy of his sacrifice, even if it's just an illusion of hollow perfection. In the end, Alma measures everything according to Pedro's death, and that's why nothing and no one is ever enough. Nothing will ever be able to compensate her husband's death, no matter how hard she (and the rest of them) tries.
5) She fails to see the other's necessities and struggles, just as everyone else in the family, because every one of them keeps their shit to their own and never talks about it, since none of them can afford weakness. We see it in Isabela, we see it in Luisa, that's probably what happened with Bruno too. Serving the community is their number one priority, over everything else, even themselves. Because all of them are hiding from the WAR AND VIOLENCE that plagued the world beyond their mountains, so they have to keep going whatever it takes.
So I don't know. Alma and the Madrigals as a whole are like a dam that keeps the water away. Are you gonna call "narcissist" a dam for holding the waters?
I think that if you're gonna analyze a piece of media seriously, taking into account its context is something essential. Even if some traits of Alma's behavior can resemble the narcissistic disorder, the source of that behavior is pretty different, in my opinion.

raven-san, can we please have a wedding crashing where jade needs to marry this girl from another crime family to consolidate power and become the next head of the leech mob :)) but floyd's like I'M BORED and annoyed that his brother's being snatched up by a random chick, so he asks basketball bros, and azul, to help save jade?
This one is super long, so I added some extra sections and placed the rest of the wedding crashing below the cut!
***Spoilers for Jamil and Floyd’s Unique Magic!!***
"I object to this wedding...!"
Tumblr media
Pre-Wedding Jitters
A call comes for the twins in the dead of night, without warning. It’s their parents with exciting news: they’re naming Jade as the next Don Leech. The catch? The Leech mob’s in the middle of a merger with the Worm mob, and he’ll have to marry Don Worm’s daughter to secure the deal.
Jade, ever the dutiful son, is honored by his future title and calmly agrees to the arrangement. On the other hand, Floyd’s annoyed by the idea, and can’t keep quiet about his irritation. He calls out to his twin in the darkness.
“... Ne, Jade.”
“Ee, Floyd?”
“Are you really okay with going through with this? You’re just gonna do what they said? Even though you don’t know the Worms at all? Even if you’ve never met that girl before?”
“It is a request coming directly from father and mother. How could I refuse them? And, furthermore... If I do not undertake this task, then it would fall to you, the next choice to inherit the title of Don Leech. I cannot allow that to come to pass--fufu. You do so enjoy your freedom, yes?”
“... Jade, you’re so dumb sometimes. What’ll happen to your freedom, then? Will you get so busy with being the big boss and being married... that you won’t have time to play anymore?”
“... Perhaps. But that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.”
That thought doesn’t sit well with Floyd--not at all.
“I trust that you will make your own fun of the situation,” Jade reassures him. “You always do.”
As the weeks pass, Floyd sees less and less of Jade around, since he has to prepare for the wedding. Jade reassures him that he’s doing just fine, but Floyd can see right through his lies. He can tell that Jade’s more frazzled than usual--there’s a lingering to his words, and a longing in his eyes, savoring every last bit of autonomy he has before his fate is forever sealed.
Floyd hates it. He hates being lied to by his own brother, and he hates feeling powerless to stop the wedding. Floyd’s so angry that he develops this murderous aura in the weeks leading up to the wedding, which makes everyone around him shy away.
One day, he gets sick of being in the water--it’s a reminder of the wedding to come--so Floyd plays basketball on land to vent. He ends up chomping down so hard that he deflates a ball, then dunks another basketball so hard, he breaks the net.
He sprawls out on the ground and angrily shouts at the sky. His basketball bonks him on the head... and that’s when an idea hits him: maybe he can’t stop the wedding alone, but no one said he couldn’t phone some friends.
Assembling the Dream Team
Floyd first dials up Azul, who agrees to help after some whining and signing a contract agreeing to pay Azul handsomely for his services (... although truthfully, the octopus does want to help Jade, but doesn't immediately agree to do it because of his pride as a businessman).
Floyd also calls his old basketball buddies for help! Jamil and Ace are much more adamant than Azul, but Floyd strongarms them into pitching in. ("Umihebi-kun, Kani-chan, if you don't help me rescue Jade, I'll get suuuper mad, you know? I don't think you'll like me when I get mad. Moray eels are strong hunters, so I don’t think it’ll be a problem for me to track you guys down and give you a good squeeze~" "OKAY, OKAY, WE'LL DO IT!!")
Together, the four boys meet up to scheme of a way to disrupt the wedding without jeopardizing the Leech mob's future. Floyd actively leads the discussion, allowing his hidden genius to come to the surface.
Ace doesn’t contribute much to the strategy (laid out by Azul), but he does keep the spirit up with some jokes. Meanwhile, Jamil provides snacks for them when they work late into the night (though he keeps passing semi-glares to Azul whenever the octopus compliments him or tries to be friendly).
In preparation for the crashing, Azul brews some potions to give Jamil and Ace so they can take on temporary merforms. After all, the wedding will be underwater, in the Coral Sea, and they’ll need tail fins.
The date of destiny draws ever closer... and Floyd's never been so excited to cause chaos in his whole life.
The Crashing - Team Azul & Jamil
They split into two pairs on the day of the wedding—Azul and Jamil, and Floyd and Ace. Floyd uses his position as the future son-in-law to Don Worm to arrange a meeting between himself and the don... except Azul and Jamil will show up instead.
Don Worm shows up to the meeting in his finest clothes (which is very little, given that he’s a merman), sounding a bit annoyed the sudden summoning. “Make this quick, I’ve got to go see my baby girl’s big day... Wait. You fellas aren’t the F. Leech boy.”
“No, we aren’t, sir. We are his representatives... Proxies, if you will,” Azul insists, giving his warmest and most welcoming smile. He uses a tentacle to tug on Jamil’s tail, forcing him to smile too. “You see, there is an important business matter we needed to discuss with you on behalf of Floyd.”
“Hoh? And what would that be?”
“I believe my business associate would be better off explaining the matter than myself.” Azul gestures to Jamil, who has his head down.
“Oi, what’s with you? Don’t you know who I am, boy? It’s rude to not look your elders in the eye when they are speaking to you!! Show me the respect I deserve, from one professional to another!!”
“My apologies, sir.” Jamil looks up, locking eyes with the mob boss. “... Is this better?”
“Yes, that’s...”
“Snake Whisper.”
Don Worm suddenly goes glassy-eyed and slack-jawed. Azul claps at the sight, showering his partner with compliments. “As expected of the talented Jamil-san! Even one look from you can bring a mafia lord to his downfall. Truly, your Unique Magic is most impressive!”
“Save your flattery for later.”
Azul’s lips curl into a smirk as he whips out a golden contract from his briefcase and offers it to the don. “Now then, if you wouldn’t mind, sir... sign on the dotted line.”
The Crashing - Team Floyd & Ace
Ace and Floyd rush to the wedding venue, their tails cutting through the water like knives as they swim at a breakneck pace. Ace can barely keep up with Floyd, who surges far ahead.
“H-Hey, should we really be barging in like this?! Don’t mob families have weapons and other dangerous stuff? Is there a backdoor we can take instead? Hello?! Floyd-senpai, are you listening to me?!” (He isn’t.)
The open, underwater comes into view, and Floyd barrels in without any hesitation, tearing right through some decorations and knocking over the wedding cake with his tail. A loud CRASH! echoes through the waters, drawing eyes to him.
Jade stares at his brother from the altar—wide eyed, but a mirthful smile on his lips. Floyd waves to him, and then to his mom and dad in the crowd of guests. “Hiii, Jade! I’m here to pick you up now.”
The Worm girl starts sobbing, wailing something about how her special day’s been ruined, and where is her papa to put an end to this? At her signal, security guards, and some of the rougher looking guests—Worm family associates—lunge at Floyd, claws and teeth out. A few of them have produced wands, and what seem to be guns—loaded with harpoons.
“Bind the Heart!” Objects and stray magic go flying in all directions, hitting both people and wedding decorations. Cloth tears, columns crumble—but it’s one man against many, and he can only bind so many hearts before the blot starts to stack.
Ace makes it just in time, sending their foes and their weapons hurtling through the water with a blast of wind. “This is why I said to be careful, dammit! Your Unique Magic’s such a crapshoot—don’t just use it whenever, or you’ll be sushi!!!”
“Ahahahah! Kani-chan’s being all heroic today! That’s so cute. Don’t worry, I can play my part, too...!!”
Using his tail, Floyd hooks around a drifting merman and chucks him straight into another. They collide with a CRACK!—but Floyd barely registers it. He’s already bolting off, grabbing heads and smashing them together, slicing through others like a knife through butter.
There’s a crazed, frenzied look to him, gleeful laughter cutting through the waters and mixing with the Worm bride’s screeching. I forgot how scary Floyd-senpai can be, Ace realizes. (Jade and Floyd’s parents are cheering for him from their seats.)
Jade looks quite proud of his brother, even laughing along to the brutal slaughterfest. His bride stares at him incredulously. “Stop that brute! He’s ruining MY special day!!”
“No,” Jade replies calmly. “I don’t think I will. This is far too amusing to let it end so soon.”
She lets out a frustrated scream and launches herself at her groom, hands going for his throat. The Worm girl is slammed back with a strong hit to her gut, courtesy of Jade’s tail.
She flies back, slamming into a column—and feels a tail wrapping around her and squeezing tight. Constricting her to the point where it was difficult to breathe. A livid mermaid glares down at her, teeth bared in a snarl.
“No one lays a hand on my children,” Mama Leech declares. “No one.”
From the corner of her eye, the Worm girl can see that Jade has cast off his bow tie and flitted over to Floyd, embracing happily in a battlefield adorned with red ribbons trailing through the water. Her vision is abruptly blocked off by a broad-shouldered merman wearing a grimace.
“Now then, what shall we do with this one?” Papa Leech wonders aloud—though from his tone of voice, he has nothing good in store.
The Aftermath
“You’re all fish bait when daddy hears about this...!” the Worm girl warns, her words raspy. “Th-The merger won’t go through...! There’ll be war between the Leeches and the Worms...!”
A loud throat clearing comes from behind. “Fortunately, that won’t be happening.”
Azul and Jamil make their appearance, the octopus merman smugly showcasing a contract. “Ashengrotto—Azul Ashengrotto, legal and business extraordinaire at your service, Don Leech and Lady Leech.”
Papa Leech grunts. “What’s that you’ve got there?”
“This?” Azul’s smirk widens. “Why, it’s a prenuptial stating that, in the case that an act of violence is enacted by the bride toward the groom, the marriage is considered null and void... and the bride’s family assets are to be claimed by the groom. Signed by Don Worm himself.”
“Wh-What?! Impossible!! How did you get daddy to sign such a stupid deal?!”
“Oh,” Jamil says nonchalantly, “we have our ways.”
“So... Uh, Jade-senpai’s still gonna be the next Don Leech?! And he’s gonna be in charge of an even bigger and richer family... How is that any better than the situation before?! You’re just giving him more resources for committing crimes!”
At that moment, two hands come down on Ace’s shoulders, causing him to freeze up.
“Kani-chaaaaan! Everyone!! Thanks so much for your help~”
“Yes, you have my sincerest thanks, Ace-san, Jamil-san... Azul.”
“It is my pleasure to assist such VIP clients. Ah, but there remains the matter of my promised payment—” (Jamil and Ace internally groan at Azul’s words.)
“Payment?” Don Leech scoffs. “After the ballsy operation you boys pulled off today... I’m more inclined to give you job offers instead of a one time sum. How do you lads feel about being hired as the Leech family’s personal lawyer, interrogator, and... well, whatever the heart one is good at.”
“My, my! Such a generous and lucrative offer—“
“There is no way I’m accepting that, especially if that means working with Azul.”
“Oi, I’ll have you know I’m good at lots of stuff!! I’m the one that saved Floyd’s tail fins, is no one gonna acknowledge that?!”
“You did amazing, sweetie!!” Mama Leech chirps—her tail grip tightening until the Worm girl passes out. Ace leaps back in fright. “As a reward, why don’t you let me give you a hug?”
“S-STAY BACK!!”
“Ahahahah! Everyone’s getting along so well, Jade. Isn’t this fun? You wouldn’t be able to enjoy this if you had gone to get hitched.”
“Fufufu. You are correct, Floyd. How sad it would have been if I were to miss out on touching moments such as this. From the bottom of my heart... I thank you for thinking of me, and for rushing to my aid. I could not have asked for a better brother.”
... What Floyd doesn’t know is that this was all according to keikaku Jade’s own machinations. He would never take the order to marry lying down—but he couldn’t outright defy it without immediate consequences, either.
Thank the Great Seven Jade has reliable puppets friends to help him out of a pinch. I’ll be certain to put the additional funds we have gained to good use... Perhaps to start a little mushroom farm.
