One of Their Own 🏳️‍🌈✨
dreamling / queer joy / fluff / first kiss / 3,6k words
summary: Hob Gadling invites Dream to a meeting of the uni's queer clubs at the New Inn. Dream learns more about his own gender identity, and that he's very much in love with his best friend.
author’s note: this fic, this pairing and this fandom all mean the world to me, so I thought it was fitting to bring it back for pride month!
I’m incredibly thankful for finding Sandman when I did. Since joining this fandom, I’ve made wonderful friends and became part of a community of bright, kind, loving and loyal queer people that I would not trade for anything. I’ve learned more about my community and about myself, and I wave my ace/agender flag proudly now. This fic was written in a moment in my life where I felt hopeless and alone. Now, things couldn’t be more different. Happy pride sandfam! 🏳️‍🌈✨
read here or on ao3
Dream doesn’t get it at first. He never really did get it, but only attributed it to the need humanity had for labels, for packing things into boxes and saying this goes here and that goes there. Sometimes, it leads to this goes to heaven and you go to hell. It seemed to be a very common one, too. He was beyond that; his name said it all, Dream was endless. Not he nor she, not man nor creature, he was all there was to be and the nothingness beyond it. Gender and sexuality need not apply.
Still, it meant so much to Hob, that he’d have dreams about it. Nightmares too, for nights on end, and even if Dream begged Hob to allow him to take them away, Hob always declined, always braving through them. “If you take them, I’ll forget how much it all means. I’ll forget why I’m still fighting.”
They sat at the New Inn one afternoon, while Hob graded papers and Dream had a cup of chamomile tea, but his eyes couldn’t help but focus on a shiny pin on Hob’s jumper shaped like a flag, the shades of pink, purple and blue a spot of proud colour in Hob’s otherwise earthy colour palette.
“It’s the bisexual pride flag.”
“Hm?” Dream’s eyes darted up to meet Hob’s, tilting his head slightly. He wasn’t sure if he should feel bad for being caught, because he wasn’t sure what he was looking at in the first place.
“The pin. I wear it for my students, but also for myself. The kids feel safer I guess, knowing they have at least one of their own in the faculty. Can’t say it doesn’t make me feel good too.”
Hob has a particular tone to his voice that makes Dream’s heart sing in tune to its melody. It’s a fuller sense of self, maybe more than Dream ever had in regards to his own identity. “…one of their own?”
“Oh, I– Sorry, those are pretty recent.” Hob straightened himself up (ha) on the chair, his lecturing posture taking over. Dream liked when he did that. He liked to hear Hob speak of things he had deep knowledge of and passion for. “This one was created in 1988 by a queer activist called Michael Page. Had the pleasure of being there when it was first unveiled, but clearly it took a long time until I was able to wear something like this out in public and not be decked by some bloody homophobe.”
It was starting to sink in.
“…I’m afraid I was not present for these developments.” Dream saw the look on Hob’s face, like he was ready to apologise. He raised a hand to stop him, waving his concern away. “As far as I can remember, queer was not a form of self identification, but only a way to shun out those outside the established norm.”
“Ah, yes. We reclaimed it, though. Or are reclaiming it. The 80s were crazy. All of them were, for me.” Hob smiled at Dream, at their shared secret and at their years of now reestablished friendship.
“I think you’re lonely.”
Could it have been….? Could he have meant…?
“What does it mean for you, then?” Dream asks in a way he hopes sounds inconspicuous, pointing at the pin. He was hesitant to ask, afraid to be getting it all wrong.
“For me? It means I love whoever I love. Man, woman, either or neither.”
The pride coming from Hob’s words filled Dream with hope, something he had not felt in a long, long time. The look in his face then shifted onto something else, something he didn’t quite understand. “…what about you? That is, if you’re okay with talking about that. I don’t want to overstep. Last thing I want is for you to walk out–”
“I won’t, Hob.” Dream knew Hob had reason for feeling that way. “I don’t believe the terminology you have could define my experience. I have laid with mortals and gods alike, and have worn many faces and names. It is beyond human comprehension.”
Hob seems to take a moment to think about what he’d just heard. Dream feels like he might have thrown too much at his human friend. “…I think I get it. But, and tell me to bugger off I’m wrong, do you prefer to be a particular way? To be with a particular sort of being?”
Dream. Didn’t have an answer.
He never thought of what he preferred. He’d never felt in need of any sort of outside validation, but. That was a lie. He needed it. He just never cared to look for it.
Hob’s smile was what broke him out of the spell of his own self doubt. “It’s okay if you don’t have an answer. It takes people a long time to get it, it took me nearly 600 years! Ah! You know what? I’ve got an idea–” He reached inside his brown messenger bag, pulling out a colourful piece of paper, handing it over to Dream. A pamphlet for a meeting. “We’re having a meeting for the uni’s LGBT clubs here at the Inn. I want this to be a safe space for the kids, and to get them to connect with other folks in the community, share their experiences. It’s tomorrow, and I’d love it if you could make it. I’m sure they would too.”
Dream took the pamphlet in hands, looking at the bright colours and bold fonts, taking in every bit of information Hob was giving him and trying to fill in the gaps of the questions he wouldn’t dare ask. After a moment, he looked up at Hob, allowing himself a small smile. “I shall be in attendance, then.”
—————
Dream stood outside the New Inn, hands tucked safely inside the pockets of his coat jacket. He watched as groups of young adults arrived, greeting each other cheerfully. The hair colours and outfits reminded him of his sister, Delirium, but they all seemed to be more in line with her previous self; delighted to be there, happy to meet their friends. A flag danced in the light summer breeze on a pole next to the window, the stripes of colours brightening up the already lively scene. A rainbow, Hob had told him the day before, was the most recognizable symbol of the queer community. It now was accompanied by stripes of light pink and blue, white, black and brown. Dream enjoyed good symbolism, and he could feel the meaning of those colours to all who were present from their daydreams alone.
He, however, still felt like an outsider. Like he wasn't really meant to be there, save for Hob's generous invite. Dream was not defined by the same standards humanity aligned itself with; in fact, he wasn't defined by anything at all. He was not an individual, but the safe arms in which those dreamers rested every night, the common thread in their hopes, in their restful slumber. It would be silly to think that he'd need to identify as one thing or another, really. He was there for Hob . Because Hob invited him. Because he wanted to know more about the everyday life of his dearest friend. Because he wanted to hear him talk, see him inspire others with his tales, wanted to hear the sound of his voice, the gentle way in which he made people feel welcome, cared for, loved, he wanted–
Dream thought it best to wait it out, at least until most people had already arrived, until he had an idea of just how many young, hopeful minds would be in the vicinity. After escaping the Burgess Manor, Dream was faced with a considerable raise in the amount of dreamers under his care. He would not admit it to anyone but himself, but at times, it became too much even for him to bear. The idea of willingly walking into a space with so many people was daunting, to say the least. So he waited, watched as the New Inn became packed with dreamers, feeling his palms dampen inside the pockets of his coat.
Taking the first step towards the door was difficult. Pushing it open was even harder. Dream stepped in, careful not to bump into anyone or to even get too close. The sound of the little bell that was supposed to announce his arrival had no effect, as it was overtaken by the sound of chatter inside the Inn. It was better that way, Dream thought. Not having Hob rush to greet him. That way he could take a moment to adjust to his surroundings, maybe even blend in, become invisible. In hindsight, his usual choice of attire did anything but blend in there. He was a dark little cloud in a sky full of bright colours, like a multi-coloured sunset on a tropical beach. And of course, every sunset had its monarch, shining brightly, commanding the attention. That, of course, was Hob.
"Hello there, kids! Glad to see most of you could make it!" The cheerful, gentle register of Hob's voice filled the room, filtered by the small but potent speaker he'd rented just for the occasion. Dream could hear his voice clearly, and it helped him tune out everything else that wasn't his beloved friend. "This is the first of hopefully many meetings of our beloved Queer Clubs here at my beloved New Inn. I want you all to know this is a safe space for you all no matter what part of the gender and sexuality spectrums you fall on. The only things I won't accept here are discrimination of any kind, and anyone that thinks Lawrence Cheney shouldn't have won season 2 of Drag Race UK. Are we clear on that one?"
Laughter filled the room, and Dream couldn't help but allow his lips a small smile. Hob truly was a marvel. How anyone could shine so brightly was beyond even the dream lord's knowledge, but he was glad to be able to bask in that glow from time to time. He wished he could do it more often.
Hob was saying other things, Dream thought. Instructions on seating arrangements, subjects to be discussed, discounts on food and drinks. All Dream could do was watch as Hob did more than just make everyone feel welcome, but inspired them with hope and joy, a gentle breeze of acceptance, the embrace of a parent, the empathy of an equal. There was much to work with here, much to inspire new dreams. Dreams of comfort and love, of community and pride.
"Dream? You in there, love?"
Hob's voice broke the spell he himself had cast over Dream, who could now see his friend's palm waving in front of his eyes. He'd become lost in thought, it seemed. Dream's nose scrunched up at the interruption, looking at Hob with his usual look of curiosity. There was still much he needed to catch up on when it came to non verbal communication. "Aye. I'm here. Have I not fully manifested my presence?"
Hob chuckled, and his eyes wrinkled at the corners. "Oh, yes. Physically, at least." Dream's brows furrowed in worry, and he was glad Hob was quick enough to notice when something had gone over his head. "Just a joke– hey, I'm glad you could make it. The kids will love meeting you."
"Meeting me? There are far too many people here for you to make introductions. Besides, I know them all, and they all know me. They just do not remember it during waking hours."
This felt like a plausible enough explanation to keep Hob from actually introducing him to everyone in attendance. But Hob was far too optimistic to be dissuaded so easily. "I'm not talking about introducing them to Morpheus. I'd like them to meet my friend, Dream."
"I do not see the difference." He shouldn't say why he couldn't bear the idea of being introduced to so many people. Shouldn't burden Hob with his problems, that wouldn't exist had he just not been captured in the first place. Dream had been good at hiding his discomfort so far, and he'd continue to do so.
…well, maybe he was not so good at it. Not when Hob's eyes so clearly conveyed the worry that had just settled in his heart. It was difficult to deny Hob the truth when his warm, calloused hands took Dream's into his own so carefully, squeezing gently, as if saying you can trust me. I've got you. "It's okay if you'd rather not. I know it can be overwhelming sometimes."
"...thank you." Dream replied with a murmur. Hob gifted him with a smile. It seemed a lot could be said with just the eyes.
————
Even if Dream didn't intend on actually joining in on the conversations being held, he was glad to follow Hob along and listen to the discussions. It was amazing seeing just how bright the kids really were: they spoke of justice and equality, of inclusivity, of respect and love, of family and religion and sex and responsibility. It was a wider range of topics than he'd expected, an awareness of self he didn't think humans would ever possess, and now, he was glad to be proven wrong. He listened to their shared experiences, to the kindness in their eyes as they lifted each other up, the melody of their laughter and the bravery in their voices as they spoke of injustices they'd lived. It was fascinating, really.
What Dream was truly surprised to find was that people had, after all, an understanding of self that went beyond just physical. Hob brought him closer to a group of kids who were in a long discussion on gender identity. Some of them felt comfortable with the gender they'd been "assigned with at birth", others did not feel any affinity for it. Some of them had changed their bodies to fit with how they felt on the inside, and Dream couldn't help but feel enormous empathy for them, for the way they had to fight to exist in a body that didn't feel like a trap. It was something Dream always took for granted, until he himself felt the horror of having no agency over himself. The pain they went through to guarantee they'd have the right to live authentically. Dream's body had never been limited to an exclusive physical manifestation; he was as he felt like. Fluid , as one of the bright colour haired people had pointed out while explaining their own experience. They reminded Dream of his own sibling, Desire. Someone else brought up how they didn't particularly feel like they had a gender, and that the language surrounding it didn't particularly bother them. Agender, the girl said proudly. Dream wondered if there was any right or wrong way to declare oneself fluid or agender. Then he realised the tightness in his chest when the thought occurred to him.
"Are you alright?" Once again, Hob's voice brought him back to the Waking. Dream could now feel Hob's hand on his own again, but he wasn't sure what exactly had warranted it.
"Your hands were shaking."
Once again, Dream's physical form betrayed him. It was also clear how the conversation surrounding them had gone quiet, and more eyes than he would have liked had landed on their linked hands. He didn't like being watched. Like that.
"Oh, Mr. G, is this your boyfriend?" one of them asked, teasingly. "Would have never guessed you had a thing for goths!"
"Marissa, stop!" someone else said, poking the girl on the shoulder apprehensively. The next thing they said was soft as a whisper. "They are clearly not feeling well."
They.
Dream had never considered himself as they. But this person, whoever they were, preferred "not to assume" his gender. And the empathy displayed for his discomfort was something he wasn't expecting either. Hob seemed to be about to say something, but Dream was quicker.
"There is no need to worry for my well-being, but I thank you for your kindness." Dream allowed himself to smile once again. These children were going places, he knew it. "You may address me as he , if necessary. I would not oppose her or them either." It felt liberating to say it, and Dream didn't really know why. He did know, however, that he suddenly felt brave. "I am not Professor Gadlen's boyfriend , but I am honoured to call him my dearest, most cherished friend."
Dream looked at Hob, who seemed to be awestruck by his words. It was amusing to see him like that, and it lit something else inside him. This meeting was making Dream experience a range of feelings he'd forgotten about. He showed Hob a smile, and Hob smiled back at him, warm and gentle as ever. Their hands were still linked together. Dream had no intention of letting go. "Ah, yes. This little prick here is indeed my dearest, oldest friend. I did want them to meet you guys. I'm glad I was right about it."
When Hob said it, it made Dream's heart sing.
"...so you're fuckbuddies?"
" Marissa! "
————
After a few hours and many, many rounds of different conversations, Hob gathered the group once again, thanking them for coming and congratulating everyone on the success of their first meeting. Dream couldn't help but notice how Hob seemed unable to stop smiling. He could feel the pride and relief radiating off of his tanned skin and kind eyes. Dream wished he could have it all directed at himself, that gentleness.
Hob's boyfriend. Now that would be something.
Dream sat on the booth table behind the bar where he and Hob usually held their meetings and waited for everyone to leave. He wanted some time alone with Hob, even if just to hear what his beloved friend had to say about what he thought of the meeting, just to hear Hob's voice, the only music suited for Dream's ears.
He also had so many new feelings inside himself to explore. Those he could tend to later.
"Hey there, handsome stranger." Hob said as he sat across from Dream on the table, taking Dream's hand in his as if it was just the way they always did things. Maybe it could be. It wouldn't hurt (too much) to hope, would it? "Come here often?"
"Only when I'm in search of an epiphany." Dream couldn't bother to hide the fondness in his own voice, nor the relief he felt to have Hob's hand cradling his own again. "I am impressed, Professor Gadlen. You have gathered a group of exceptionally bright minds. It gives me hope for a better future for humanity."
"Wow Dream, that is… that is really high praise, especially coming from you." Hob seemed flushed, and Dream wondered what else he could do to cause that reaction, to see Hob shy and pretty like that again and again. "I learned a long time ago that I have to build the future I want to live in. But in all honesty… I'm more interested in the present right now."
"Oh, is that so?" Hob's optimism was infectious, it seemed. Dream too could only focus on the present moment. "I am glad to be able to share it with you."
There was a short silence shared between them after that. It was as if neither of them were ready to say whatever it was they clearly needed. Dream tried to take comfort in the feeling of Hob's hand in his, rubbing the back of Hob's hand with his thumb.
His mistake was looking up to meet Hob's eyes.
"There is much I have learned today." Dream decided he'd be the one to break the silence. He'd be the one to take the leap, because he knew Hob had made sure he'd make a safe landing. He knew that no matter what happened, no matter how much he could get hurt, he was safe. He could trust Hob with his heart, even if there was a chance that he would break it. "I often make the mistake of thinking there is nothing more to my existence than what I have already discovered. I contain all conscious minds throughout the universe, their lives, hopes and dreams. Yet, I forget that the tales of others cannot substitute one's own experience, only enlighten it."
Hob listened to Dream's words attentively. He looked anxious, but would not interrupt. Dream knew he wouldn't. He knew how much Hob cherished the moments where Dream felt ready to share something new. "Today, you have once more shown me there is much I have to learn. For that, I am grateful, Hob Gadling.”
How could Dream not fall in love with someone that treated him like he was the moon? How could the moon not love the sun?
"I'm grateful for you too, you know. The kids loved you. I'm sure I'll be getting asked about you for the rest of the semester. Maybe even longer." Hob's eyes were so fond it made Dream want to cry.
"And how would you like to answer their inquiries?"
"What do you mean?"
"Would you like to tell them of your dearest, oldest friend…" Dream leaned in, bringing Hob's hand to his own cheek. He pressed a soft kiss to Hob's palm, and watched as Hob's eyes followed his every move. There was no turning back from this. "...or would you prefer to tell them about your lover, Hob?"
For a moment, time stopped. Their eyes met, and before Dream could get anxious or regret his words, Hob was already standing and leaning over the table, locking their lips together.
Dream thought he'd heard the sound of people cheering outside one of the windows of the New Inn. Hob would certainly be getting many questions from his students come next monday.

Been currently in a TMNT mood, since I've been watching the 2003 series, and rewatching episodes and clips from the 2012 series. And seeing how Rize handled their designs, I really wanted to make my own designs for them, along with playing with concepts of what I would do if I had to make my own series, hence why I call this universe "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Underground". I got a lot of fun ideas for this series, and I hope to draw some of the other characters, but lot with most of my projects, I may not have to time to fully expand on it, so feel free to ask questions! I'll also share details about my versions of the turtles, both design elements and personality stuff. Also as a side note, each of them are hybrid turtles. They were all originally common snapping turtles, but were mixed with another turtle each. I also wanted to play more with the mutant element idea with them, hence why they have tails, webbed hands, beaks and so on. Think it would be more fun that way. -Leonardo Hamato- Leo is a hybrid of a common snapping turtle and a black-knobbed map turtle. I gave him a dark, saturated colour palette because I felt that suited him well, playing into how he takes the ninja stuff the most serious, and to showcase his bold and mature nature. It's also why he wears the black cloth on his arms and legs. Because of the map turtle in him, he has a spiked spine down his shell, though he has a very noticeable and massive scar on his shell, as a result of a situation that happens when they were all still kids. His bandana I kept similar to previous series of the turtles, keeping it classic. The best way to describe Leo is that he is a complete mother hen, the kind of person who gets up at 5 AM to get his family prepped for the day. He took on the eldest brother role with pride, and wants to do what's best for his brothers, taking care of them and protecting them whenever he can. This has lead to him being wise, mature and responsible, but also struggle to ever say no, and forgets to have "me time" and self-care. His lack of selfishness has caused him to get caught up in many problems, but no matter the problems he goes through, he will always be the big brother to the others, even if he has to learn that sometimes selfishness is okay. He also completely oblivious to certain social cues, especially romance. You could imagine Karai's annoyance when Leo did not understand the concept of flirting for a good while. -Raphael Hamato- Raph is a hybrid of a common snapping turtle and a alligator snapping turtle (He got the double snap in him lol). A lot of his design was inspired by Rize, and a little bit of hulk, cause I just think it's fitting for his character (Along with elements from Slash in 2012). I lean towards swamp like colours, since that's the environment most alligator snapping turtles are found in. His shell, when viewed from behind, has four spiked I imagine look sort of like a opened fanged mouth, playing into the beast nature behind him. He also has the longest tail, which he mostly drags around due to it's weight. I gave him the full cover bandana that is tattered, as it's the most fitting for him. Like most of his counterparts, he is indeed a hothead, and loves violence. Because of his large size, and double snapping turtle genes, he just enjoys being rough with his fighting style, being a wall to get through when challenging him. He's got a lot of classic older brother habits, like holding the others in headlocks or even leaving the door open when leaving their rooms. He's always the first to run into danger, as he knows very well he is a tank, and can take most hits for his brothers. Also a big fan of wrestling. But he is also an animal person, with a soft side to him, especially for his family. He may get loud or brutally honest towards them, but when he knows they need him, he'll cut the act and help. Or at least, his style of help. -Donatello Hamato- Donnie is a hybrid of a common snapping turtle and a diamondback terrapin. Because the turtle he is a hybrid of has very pasty white skin, I ended up giving him very light and pale colours to reflect this, along with the spirals on his shell. His gear, including his bostaff, has some minor modifications to them, along with him having goggles, cause I like the goggles quirk. Made him very tall and lanky, though not as tall as Raph. For his bandana it's similar to Leo's, back as thinner back ribbons that end in a square shape, rather than a pointed tip. He has a dry wit, laconic kind of way of speaking. A true know it all, who acts like he doesn't have time for stupid things. He has a very logical mindset, and likes to invent, learn and gain new knowledge wherever he can, often the one to go to when you need a problem solved. Despite his sarcastic nature, he does mean well, and is always willing to lend a help or fix things for others, as he grew up being the one who repaired things like damaged skins or the fridge. Though because of his logical nature, he's poor when it comes to the concept of emotions, and has a tenacity to over complicate things. He also likes joining in on debates, but tries to stay reasonable with his offers and suggestions. -Michelangelo Hamato- Mikey is a hybrid of a common snapping turtle and a Spotted Turtle. His colours were a little harder to figure out, but I eventually settled on a palette that references some of the older TMNT designs, with the deep pure green and bright colours. He is the shortest of his brothers, and a little more rounded than him. With his smaller height, he's the best at being quick and agile, being hard to catch. I gave him spots since he is based on a turtle with spots in the name, and he has a very rounded shell. With his bandana, I had to keep the short bow look, as it's too cute to not have, along with giving him a little scarf of sorts. Being the baby of the team, Mikey is considered the heart of his brothers. He may not be the brightest with things such as science or logic, but he is the most emotional understanding of his brothers, able to read people with an empathic mind. He's good at connecting with people, and loves to brighten people's days. He also needs to constantly be doing something, needing to focus his mind on something, and will always want to be involved. Though admittedly he has some pretty lazy moments, known to do things like ask for someone to pass the remote when it's barely out of reach of him. He's also the kind of person to suddenly ask very strange questions out of the blue, his mind always wandering as he fidgets with his nunchucks. But if someone ever needs cheering up, he'll be there, being the kind little turtle he is.

When sister location oc meets fnaf SB :)
Click for close up
Notes about her below
Glamrock Kit is the band’s keyboardist who is programmed to encourage and support LGBTQ+ children and adults alike. People often find it in themselves to come out to her or their family thanks to her encouragement.
She runs a ninja warrior-like course called Kit’s Kat Ninjas (for those who don’t know what that is, basically a massive obstacle course).
Kit also has three smaller versions of herself in alternate colours but the same palette, called the Kittles. The three shown are Kat, One and Mews, but there are rumours going round that there are more than three of them :0 (spoiler alert, there are more than fifty of them that Kit built herself). They go around her attraction waving pride flags and throwing compliments at everyone they pass, mainly kids.
She got upgrades in her feet to help her run and jump better around her course with the children. These come in handy when the kids get stuck in absurd places.
She also has heat detectors in her eyes :) these work on other animatronics and comes in handy playing hide and seek XD
She has a mechanism in her right purple earring that sort of creates this gravity field that turns her invisible (shh, management doesn’t know about that one). One has the same thing in her left earring.
Fortunately, Kit was not corrupted by the virus, as she was undergoing repairs at the time and it was auto-flushed out. And the Kittles have their own separate network from the other animatronics, that Kit shares as well.
(Next bit is potential spoilers for my fic on Ao3)
One finds Gregory when he’s hiding in the ninja course trying to get Monty off his tail. She contacts Kit after convincing Gregory she is safe, and the cat animatronic grabs him away from Monty and gets him deeper into her attraction. There she introduces herself and gets him back to Moon (the DA and Kit are his guardians in my AU)
She isn’t very social with the other band members, though she is with the customers (like me with people above for same as my age but I’m fine with younger kids how the fuck does this work), always disappearing after shows before anyone can try to talk to her. However, she is building a strong connection with Roxy (low self esteem buddies :D) since she found her crying at her ninja course and decided to try to cheer her up (second spoiler alert, it worked and they are kind of friends now :0)
She has severe anxiety and sometimes becomes non verbal if it gets too much for her, and management has done fucking nothing about it which pisses off the Kittles and they take it out sometimes on the staff. She only ever has small reactions with her band mates besides Roxy, who is okay with that and doesn’t push it, though she updates the others on how she’s going.
She’s also friends with Sun and Moon, having met Moon when he did his patrol around her attraction when she was first introduced to the pizzaplex. She got scared shitless because he snuck up behind her (bad idea because the Kittles were around and like twenty of them formed a wall between her and Moon XD). He apologised quite quickly after that, and they kind of bonded for a while. She’s never met Sun but he knows to be more quiet and careful around her. The DA and her are def on good terms :).
Used to have a male body before she requested it to be changed. Still has her old voice and she hates it.
Oh my god just typed an entire fic lmao

Reading Heeramandi Poster
Tumblr media
Look at this beauty. Just look at it. How could someone do this? I am in complete aww of this picture since it was dropped by the makers. Such a masterpiece. Well SLB always comes with a masterpiece having his gloomy yet shiny lighting, look and feel and who can not notice the stars and their poses. But this particular project could attract a bigger cast to mingle their star value and his ambitious venture. Though Sonakshi, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari and Richa Chaddha are still mainstream stars in their own way but read that purpose to add elegance than star value. WOW! I am glad for such a huge show but a subtle starcast and extravagant poster. Forget everything but this poster.
The makers released two of them but I fell for the black piece rather than yellow. I feel the yellow just burns in the eye. It’s too blown with that effect. But the black one is a complete art with I am sure innumerable heads and eyes. I can’t just get my eyes away. I stare at it at least for 10 seconds to find every detail of it each time it comes while scrolling. It's a very thought through poster.
The colour palette for both the posters is strictly inclusive of only 4 dominant colours.
YELLOW, Red, Gold, Brown
BLACK, Silver, Red, Gold
Do not believe me? Look at this.
Tumblr media
You can’t even make out that green curtain and green in Manisha’s ghaghra because there is so much of black. I did because I zoomed in too much in love. I am obsessed with it. Who thinks of putting black and grey in a  somewhat dark room? But yet this poster wins and every small detail stands out.
Now lets talk about the marvelous symmetry. Oh My God! If you draw lines on this poster, they are all going to end linearly. I did it. Look at this.
Tumblr media
They maintain the rule of thirds exactly how it is explained. No Faces outside the grid. Gosh! I am overwhelmed because there are 6 people, not 2 or 3.
If you just look at the poster softly with a casual approach you see some sharp yet invisible lines. These lines put the faces just one below or above each other creating a shape of an object. This does not happen by coincidence just randomly. It is created to be like that. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, you can’t guess wrong here. But who is the DOP?
Tumblr media
A common element in both the posters is the clear reflection that falls on the floor. While unique elements of the posters are the background. While one stands against the curtain, the other against wood and glass door structure.
However candles are beautifully placed, common and illuminating objects behind the subjects in both the pictures. Black poster gets more aesthetic value with the gold and yellow candle flame and white crystal accessorized stand.
Tumblr media
Now let's get to their faces. See those consistent expressions on each lady’s face. GRACE, you call it. A free and confident body. Sense of Pride in their posture of owning that body reflects in their subtle smiles and eyes. It’s gorgeous art one can frame and put on a wall. The women really look like queens.
You know I can go on and on if I sit with equally cinema obsessed nerd. The last time I saw a similar poster was of Kalank. But this is something magnificent. I wished I saw Huma Qureshi on this. I don’t know why I feel like it but I am used to seeing Huma in such a look with maang tika, jhoomar tika, chand bali, garara etc.
But I must say that there is some magic in it and you hardly fall in love with a poster like this one.

It’s really interesting how gwyndolin seems to have. changed? in dark souls 3. In design, he’s like, dressed in a black embroidered veil, rather than white, and I think the whole. lower half that is Aldrich purposefully makes the silhouette of a bell dress with a train. and that change of colour palette + the dark moon being over anor londo and irithyll. I get the sense that this gwyndolin is more… prideful than the gwyndolin of ds1? and Yorshka, a dragon crossbreed, seems to have been embraced by her “brother gwyndolin”… in ds1 crossbreed priscilla was considered an abomination, she was called “the antithesis to all life” and was feared by the gods. gwyn detested the dragons, and a crossbreed was heretical. but long after gwyn’s death, gwyndolin, the one most faithful to his father’s rule definitely had affection for Yorshka. She had a church named after her, a name that was Given to her By gwyndolin. Yorshka genuinely seems loved, despite the existence of her being heretical. A type of being once kept hidden by the anor londo gods now has a church. I get the sense that gwyndolin started like… using his own judgement. Which is nice :) too bad about the whole getting eaten thing. um also in the church of yorshka there are a shit ton of statues of children holding silver knight straight swords. Um. gwydy. what’s the deal there

I was scrolling through looking for some inspiration when i noticed how some of the color pallets look a lottle like pride flags and like have the best names too? Home Sweet Home is p much the trans flag? Celebration for the lesbians? The Guy by The River is the mlm flag? obsessed. and this may be inspired by me calling Nature’s Healing (smth like that?) the Irish flag: Extended Edition
When you think about it, what is a flag if not a colour palette with extra steps? Also thank you!

yknow, with my thread’s reference to anica’s garden, i’m using this as a great segue into showing what i’ve made of her house in ts4!
Tumblr media
let’s have a look around:
Tumblr media
wildflowers are allowed to co-exist freely next to carefully chosen peonies and roses. wild grasses and lavender shrubs crane towards the sun. the eagle-eyed of you would’ve spotted the two pet food bowls outside the gate! for the local stray cats!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ah, her pride and joy. reds and golds in the bushes and sunflowers, with soft purples and whites in the wildflowers. and those fragrant magnolias! there’s a little trodden clearing through the wildflowers by the bird bath, where anica sometimes sits and reads. if, you know, for some reason she would rather to be more connected with the earth than sit at that table. the planters closer to the house are reserved for vegetables!
that small balcony looking over her garden is from her bedroom - nothing is better than standing out there on a summer morning for that first cigarette!
so! let’s look inside!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ground floor! that first living room is fundamental to hosting guests; with a simple, box tv, a fireplace, radio. you can spot her idol corner where those candles are! through that archway, leading through to the kitchen/dining room, there’s a little library-turned-reading cove. you’ll be walked through to this room if you’re here for a violin lesson. you can see iulia’s little cat tree, as well! she will be watching. silently judging.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the heady smells of flowers, herbs, wood-smoke and incense will follow you inside, rest assured. do you know how difficult it was to find a good local houseplan to work with, btw? the answer is very.
let’s go upstairs!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
from the front balcony (where she sits and sips too many tipples on warm summer evenings) and the stairwell, there’s the office. don’t worry, this rarely looks as clean as it is here! files and papers scattered everywhere!! the back of the room is often left clear for suitcases that guests bring, and with that, i bring your attention to the first bedroom on the left. this is now called the “guest room” - naturally, anica cannot hope to be a good hostess without keeping this clean!
it wasn’t always a guest room, of course; it once was serghei’s room. that fact can hint at just how long anica has had this house (on and off over a hundred years - only briefly being moved out in the late 70′s for a few years) (that’s a story for another day).
while the colours in the guest room are very neutral, we return to the deep reds and golds palette with anica’s bedroom. iulia’s own little bed is by her side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and that’s what i have right now! i need to download cc ivy for the walls bc i really want that overgrown look for anica’s house. it just makes sense. but ye, i hope you enjoyed the visual reference if anything! :D!

The Timeless Charm of Channapatna Toys: A Glimpse into India's Rich Toy-Making Tradition
While traveling from Wayanad in Kerala to Bangalore about 60 km before reaching Bangalore, lies the picturesque town of Channapatna, renowned for its age-old craft of toy-making. Shops selling these vibrant, handcrafted toys dot either side of the road selling them at varied prices depending on the quality of craftsmanship and colors used. I was given a tip by a friend on where to get the same authentic chanapattana toys made in a process that was followed traditionally. I spend time visiting ArtisanPride Producer Company, an artisan-owned and managed Company. You can buy the toys from their factory or order online here https://fairkraftcreations.com/ But if you need to see the process of how this is made, you would want to set up a prior appointment by calling their number on the website contact page https://fairkraftcreations.com/pages/contact-us Note that visiting hours are Channapatna Unit Visiting Hours are 10.30 am to 4.30 pm with prior permission and they don’t work on Sundays.
Channapatna toys trace their roots back to the 18th century, so it's a craft that is more than 300 years old, leading to its widespread recognition. This traditional craft got a geographical indication (GI) tag from the World Trade Organization in 2005. The toys made by Artisanpride also have ASTM, EN71-1, EN71-2 and EN71-3 and CE certifications. They do care about safety standards and incorporate them in their design Read about safety standards here https://fairkraftcreations.com/pages/about-us/#worldclass Talking about sustainability, the toys are made of locally sourced wood The artisans of Channapatna primarily use a special type of softwood called 'ale mara' or Indian ivory wood. This wood is not only malleable but also eco-friendly, making it a perfect choice for crafting these intricate toys. The trees grow naturally in non-farm/non-forest lands. Hence no harmful chemicals were used. Once cut the branches grow back. All sections of wood and leftover sawdust are used or repurposed. Therefore no waste. Colours used on these toys from artisans pride are vibrant hues from Nature - One of the distinguishing features of Channapatna toys is the use of natural dyes. Vegetable extracts and natural pigments are transformed into a vivid palette that breathes life into the toys. The result is a stunning array of colours that are safe for children and gentle on the environment.
Artisanal Expertise: A Time-Honored Tradition - The crafting process is a labour of love, beginning with the turning of the wood on a lathe. The skillful hands of the artisans sculpt the wood into various shapes, which are then hand-coloured with natural colours and polished with lac a natural tree sap. Each toy is a testament to the craftsman's dedication to preserving this traditional art form.
A Playful Ecosystem – along with the fun element, artisanpride designs toys with some learning component. The designs stimulate creativity and imagination, providing hours of fun and learning for children.
Beyond Play: A collectible Art for All of Us - These toys aren’t just playthings; they are collectables, treasured by toy enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. The unique blend of artistry and playfulness makes them a cherished addition to any collection.
Empowering Artisans, Sustaining Communities- The legacy of artisanspride isn't just about craftsmanship; it's also about sustaining livelihoods. The artisans who create these masterpieces often inherit their skills from generations past, and their craft supports entire communities. Read about how artisanpride helps in ensuring sustainable livelihoods. https://fairkraftcreations.com/pages/about-us/#livelihoods
Preserving a Heritage- in a world dominated by mass-produced plastic toys, Channapatna toys stand as a testament to the enduring appeal of handcrafted artistry. By choosing these toys, we contribute to the preservation of a cultural heritage that has been passed down through centuries.
In conclusion: Channapatna toy is more than just an object. It is a piece of history, a celebration of craftsmanship, and a token of appreciation for the beauty that can be wrought from a simple piece of wood. In a world filled with fleeting trends, these toys serve as a reminder of the enduring value of artistry and tradition. They are not just toys; they are a legacy. So, the next time you hold a Channapatna toy in your hands, take a moment to appreciate the centuries of skill and artistry that went into its creation. It's not just a toy; it's a story waiting to be told.
If you want to buy authentic Channapatna toys online you can buy them from https://fairkraftcreations.com/

heard u need some headcanons!! much love bc this time of year is ROUGH 🫂
Hob got really into the queer liberation movement and has gone on to be the resident bisexual professor that all the students know is a safe person to go to and helps out with the LGBT clubs on campus.
He gets really excited to share this with Dream, who is a little confused about why it's so important (having missed much of the fight) but immediately takes interest because omg Hob is into more than ladies??
Hob hosts the club at the New Inn and Dream shows up and all the students just Know by the way those two look at each other and spend the night trying to get them to admit it to each other.
Look. LOOK. I'M. I'm very NORMAL ABOUT THIS. Did you know the bi flag was unveiled in December 5th of 1988? Did you know HOB DIDN'T MEET DREAM IN JULY 7TH OF 1989 ANYWAY HAVE A FIC
Dream doesn't get it at first. He never really did get it, but only attributed it to the need humanity had for labels, for packing things into boxes and saying this goes here and that goes there. Sometimes, it led to this goes to heaven and you go to hell. It seemed to be a very common one, too. He was beyond that; his name said it all, Dream was endless. Not he nor she, not man nor creature, he was all there was to be and the nothingness beyond it. Gender and sexuality need not apply.
Still, it meant so much to Hob, that he'd have dreams about it. Nightmares too, for nights on end, and even if Dream begged Hob to allow him to take them away, Hob always declined, always braved through them. "If you take them, I'll forget how much it all means. I'll forget why I'm still fighting."
They sat at the New Inn one afternoon, while Hob graded papers and Dream had a cup of chamomile tea, but his eyes couldn't help but focus on a shiny pin on Hob's jumper shaped like a flag, the shades of pink, purple and blue a spot of proud colour in Hob's otherwise earthy colour palette.
"It's the bisexual pride flag."
"Hm?" Dream's eyes dart up to meet Hob's, tilting his head slightly. He wasn't sure if he should feel bad for being caught, because he wasn't sure what he was looking at in the first place.
"The pin. I wear it for my students, but also for myself. The kids feel safer I guess, knowing they have at least one of their own in the faculty. Can't say it doesn't make me feel good too."
Hob has a particular tone to his voice that makes Dream's heart sing in tune to its melody. It's a fuller sense of self, maybe more than Dream ever had in regards to his own identity. "...one of their own?"
"Oh, I– Sorry, those are pretty recent." Hob straightened himself up (ha) on the chair, his lecturing posture taking over. Dream liked when he did that. He liked to hear Hob speak of things he had deep knowledge of and passion for. "This one was created in 1988 by a queer activist called Michael Page. Had the pleasure of being there when it was first unveiled, but clearly it took a long time until I was able to wear something like this out in public and not be decked by some bloody homophobe."
It was starting to sink in.
"...I'm afraid I was not present for these developments." Dream saw the look on Hob's face, like he was ready to apologise. He raised a had to stop him, waving his concern away. "As far as I can remember, queer was not a form of self identification, but only a way to shun out those outside the established norm."
"Ah, yes. We reclaimed it, though. Or are reclaiming it. The 80s were crazy. All of them were, for me." Hob smiled at Dream, at their shared secret and at their years of now reestablished friendship.
"I think you're lonely."
Could it have been....? Could he have meant...?
"What does it mean for you, then?" Dream asks in a way he hopes sounds inconspicuous, pointing at the pin. He was hesitant to ask, afraid to be getting it all wrong.
"For me? It means I love whoever I love. Man, woman, either or neither."
The pride coming from Hob's words filled Dream with hope, something he had not felt in a long, long time. The look in his face then shifted onto something else, something he didn't quite understand. "...what about you? That is, if you're okay with talking about that. I don't want to overstep. Last thing I want is for you to walk out–"
"I won't, Hob." Dream knew Hob had reason for feeling that way. "I don't believe the terminology you have could define my experience. I have laid with mortals and gods alike, and have wore many faces and names. It is beyond human comprehension."
Hob seems takes a moment to think about what he'd just heard. Dream feels like he might have thrown too much at his human friend. "...I think I get it. But, and tell me to bugger off I'm wrong, do you prefer to be a particular way? To be with a particular sort of being?"
Dream. Didn't have an answer.
He never thought of what he preferred. He'd never felt in need of any sort of outside validation, but. That was a lie. He needed it. He just never cared to look for it.
Hob's smile was what broke him out of the spell of his own self doubt. "It's okay if you don't have an answer, you know. It takes people a loooong time to get it, it took me nearly 600 years, you know? Ah! You know what? I've got an idea–" He reached inside his brown messenger bag, pulling out a colourful piece of paper, handing it over to Dream. A pamphlet for a meeting. "We're having a meeting for the uni's LGBT clubs here at the Inn. I want this to be a safe space for the kids, and to get them to connect with other folks in the community, share their experiences. It's tomorrow, and I'd love it if you could make it. I'm sure they would too."
Dream took the pamphlet in hands, looking at the bright colours and bold fonts, taking in every bit of information Hob was giving him and trying to fill in the gaps of the questions he wouldn't dare ask. After a moment, he looked up at Hob, allowing himself a small smile. "I shall be in attendance, then."

I bought in geometry and colour right under the main graphic “POP” short for poppins. the typeface experimental play represents the iconic roundabout that everyone sees if you decide to go mangere. it also represents the streets that the community walks on, and in the end I am pretty happy with the outcome. And I think it is a good spread to have first as It hints at my idea, and the layout I used reminded me of home which I feel is related with the theme.
Rational
I chose the Poppins font for my type specimen because it is a modern, versatile, and easy to read font that is widely used in contemporary design. It is also available in various weights, making it suitable for both headlines and body text. The new and improved Mangere Town Centre sign, which has the same characteristics as the font, is a reflection of the vibrant and dynamic community in South Auckland, where I grew up. The font and the sign remind me of the place I call home and the people who make it so special. The colors of the Mangere Town Centre sign - mint , red, and white - are also reflected in my type specimen. This color palette not only relates to the sign but also represents the unique cultural heritage of South Auckland, with mint symbolizing the land and nature, red representing the sun and warmth, and White signifying the purity of my home.
The combination of the font and color palette gives a sense of comfort and homey vibes, which is precisely what I associate with my home in South Auckland. Whenever I see this font and color combination, it takes me back to the streets of South Auckland, where my people are full of joy, and there is a strong sense of pride in the community.South Auckland, is a sentimental place for me as it is where I was born and raised. It is a place that has taught me the value of community, diversity, and resilience. The Mangere Town Centre sign, with its bold and vibrant design, represents all of these qualities and makes me feel at home. It reminds me of the people of South Auckland who are hardworking, kind-hearted, and full of life. Every time I look at the sign or use the Poppins font, it brings back fond memories and a sense of belonging. The font and the sign are not just design elements; they are symbols of the community. My pepeha which also relates to where my family migrated from which includes my village Afega and my local river Vaisigano which is also located in Apia, Samoa. So i want to pay homage to my family that migrated from Samoa to South Auckland, New Zealand and the community that I hold dear to my heart. South Auckland

Case Study - Chitale Dairy- Life begins with milk!
Tumblr media
Chitale Dairy! Need we say more? The brand needs no introduction. And yet, here we are, talking all pride in speaking more of it! Chitale Dairy has been a champion in the dairy industry by supplying the consumers with only the purest and best of products. With all the goodness packed in the products, Chitale Dairy has become a household name. The motto of empowering the local farmers and starting an enterprise movement was set by Late Babasaheb Chitale, and today, Chitale Dairy stands proud and dispenses around 3 lakh litres of milk daily.
Creative Splash had the pleasure of working for such a brand that has built its image on the base of impeccable quality and trust. Chitale Dairy revamped their packaging for milk recently, and they wanted their products to walk down the aisle with the grandest entry. Splashing fresh new colours in their traditional packaging, Chitale Dairy launched the milk packaging with trendy and cool videos. With FullHouse Entertainment and Media Solutions as our client and Chitale as the brand, we were set to rock the floor! They wanted distinctive videos with different themes and we knew the way to make them in the best possible way!
The Challenge-
We wished to show off the new packaging too much, but we had too little time. These were product videos- meaning, we had no more than 30 seconds on our timelines. To be precise, we had the liberty of using half a minute only for one video. Rest had to be till ten seconds, at par. Chitale is a brand that stands with consistent perfection, and so should their videos. Right from scripting and designing to selecting music and animation styles, we took all the liberty! We wanted to give them the best of all, and therefore, we promised ourselves that all the videos would run with their very own signature characteristics and even though the products would be the same, each video would feel beautifully different.
The Provision-
Different themes; different animation methods! We bought the best of traditional and spark of modernity in our frames by using various techniques like Stop-motion, Papercut Animation, Parallax, Typography and definitely a lot of 3D! We had splashes of colours, smokey VFX, funky typography, and most of all, imagination and creativity everywhere. Let’s sequentially skim through the series of the videos we made!
Colour Palette-
The Stop-motion Gallery
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVxETPdWYTA&t=30s
Our first video showed off an aesthetic and eye-pleasing animation style. Stop-motion animation has been one of the oldest forms of animation. Manual animation of every element is the highlight of this one. We achieved the traditional classic using our everyday animation software. Without using any third-party application, we presented a stop-motion story that called for frame-by-frame treatment. To add to this, we wanted to give the entire video a paper-cut treatment to enhance the final output. For this, we dragged the paper effect out of our scribble books and dropped it directly into our animation. We recreated types of shadows, made out solids uneven and added texture to make it more realistic and proceeded with different other methods too.
The video heroes all 3 packaging types. We hooked a season to every colour. The orange colour went close to the warmth, and hence, fall. While the packaging had waves of shades of orange, our paper-cut animation picked lighter shades and fit in the composition. To add more drama to it, we animated some leaves and dropped them over the composition. Next up was the packaging starring blue and green. For the background, a pale shade of blue was chosen to elaborate on the rainy season. The green indicated the freshness that the rains bought. With the VFX techniques that we absolutely love, we got some rain. The same pale cloud helped us make a great transition and landed us at another scene that was decorated with snow. Yes, snowy winter’s time! This time, we chose to contrast the packaging and pick a different background. Worked wonders! Even though the background was contrasting, we ensured that we stuck by the brand colours in some way or the other.
The last scene got us a line-up of all three seasons, all the packaging styles and put in the limelight the new launches! Rather than making a collage, we bound all the styles together by making the products fit on the mountain line- giving us continuity.
The Typographic Blend
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh6IKYsqjuE&t=1s
When we thought of this style, we asked ourselves, “Why do we choose Chitale Milk?” We got the answers without having to think much and that’s how we decided on the establishing compose of the video. Using the USPs of Chitale Milk, we made a trendy wordy start. This video was set to be on a funky and attractive tone. The visuals shifted quickly to the beats of the music, and this video turned out to be a ramp walk for the milk bags! In this video, we literally got our office’s name in work and had colourful Creative Splash(s)! Adhering to the theme of the packaging, we put our 3D knowledge to use and bought a classy effect to the video. Later, the camera travelled through the gaps and got us a view of different packaging styles. Keeping up with the splashy trend, we also used 2D transitions to shift between frames. Towards the end, we wrapped up our video and went to fetch a glass of Chitale Milk, because it’s ‘Not just today, every day!’
The Camera Animatics
How to define ‘beauty’ in 10 seconds? Many people think it isn’t possible. Well, they haven’t seen our creations! Chitale Milk was getting revamped. How could it be simple? Chitale group introduced 3 new packaging styles and in this video, we picked each one individually, analyzed the colour schemes, found the elements that would match their styles and finally, fit it on a beautiful piece of music. For every package, we found elements that matched the style. Be it majestic designs, a couplet of flowers or assets that beautified the background, our composition embraced it all. The colours complemented each other so well! The minimalistic background animation enhanced the scene too. In the background, a soothing piece of music ran, nestling all the compositions above. The highlight of the video was the camera movement. The shifts and turns and aperture play added the wow factor to the video! Using fine camera animation techniques, we decided on foreground, midground and background and filled the frame accordingly. The additive elements were placed in the foreground and they had their way of animation, just not in focus. This gave depth to the midground and background. Now one may ask, why such a classy look especially for this video, while other videos were very exciting, fast-paced and cool? We all heard and loved the music in this video, and this video was to be presented at one of the most prestigious music fests- The Bhimsen Joshi Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Mahotsav! Chitale Dairy stood as the sponsor of the event and they aired this video at his event. Had to be classy and super-elegant, no?
The Trendy Show
Another 10-second favourite with bright colours and quick graphics. The milk bags seemed to have a lot of fun in this very video. They twirled, made their special appearance, and grooved with the beats of the music. And while they were enjoying the attention, the backgrounds had to keep up with their styles too. So, the background animations had their starry moments and enjoyed the limelight! With colourful and splashy transitions, our video quickly progressed with different packaging styles, some close-up shots and the milk bags were embracing the details like swirly moments and droplets of water. This video set a playful tone for the brand and emphasized the modernistic approach that the brand has adapted while keeping its roots hooked to the original essence and values!
The Old-school Classic
Chitale Milk is a brand that has been associated with trust, purity and honesty. This 10-second video got us closer to all the emotions that emerge from the ultimate creator. With a lot of VFX and a bit of drama, we rendered a video that held the aspects of our Indian culture. The video timeline had multiple layers, even more cameras and beautiful elements that walked the path we gave them. We bought in the frame the smoke emitted by incense stick and to build a stronger context, idols of our gods were made to appear. Between all this, the milk bags that offer the customers purity and quality were placed. In 10 seconds, we got the elements that represent our culture and the product together, making it a super hit!
The Outcome-
A series of fun-packed promotional videos! Yes, Chitale Dairy got what they wanted, while we had all the fun we wanted to while making the videos. Chitale’s uploaded the videos on their social media handles and the videos reached a large audience, collecting all the love! The motto of highlighting the new packaging styles was, therefore, successful, and the public sure did welcome the grand, new look of this most loved brand!

Loewe Puzzle
Without straying from this heritage house’s true luxury roots, with its pride in leather-based in its untreated and natural state, Anderson injected the kitsch and unique flair that he was well known for. And runway after runway, amid the gender-bending silhouettes and expertly-hybridized materials of his RTW pieces, the purses often stole the highlight. Beloved right throughout the high-fashion set, this striking bag calls for an in depth studying. Its architectural shape is hand made in Spain, with over 500 steps in the building process. Geometric and useful — it might be folded and reworked into several completely different styles, meaning you can carry it nonetheless you choose. With the addition of a shoulder strap, you presumably can modify it to wear crossbody, over the shoulder, slung like a reverse crossbody, as a flat-pack clutch, or just within the criminal of your arm. The following charts will allow you to match the designer's size scale to your ordinary size. Loewe needs to bring again the quick lived CUSHION CUBE bag in small and medium sizes. Imagine being Fred’s sister and secretly dating Gogo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’d first met Gogo when Fred brought her over after they all fell in the ocean. You came home to find Gogo muttering and swearing to herself in the bathroom while Honeylemon tried to calm her down. Fred had told you all about his friends so despite never meeting them you recognised them on sight.
“Hey y/n you’re back from boarding school!” Fred cried spotting you and you grinned “I know and I managed to take a ton of advanced classes so I have enough credits to graduate now! Meaning I never have to see that place again!”. “That’s amazing!” Fred cried squeezing you in a hug and Honeylemon rushed to congratulate you. “Ow of course you’ve never met let me introduce you all, so guys this is my sister y/n, the pride of the family! Y/n this is Honeylemon and Gogo” he said pointing to each girl in turn. “It’s so nice to meet you!” Honeylemon beamed hugging you while Gogo just nodded. “You too” you smiled back at Honeylemon before turning to Gogo “nice to meet you too Gogo, I like your hair”. Gogo touched it awkwardly and attempted a smile “thanks, it usually looks a lot better when it’s not soaking wet”. “Ow yeah I completely forgot! Y/n we fell in the ocean so can Honey Lemon and Gogo borrow a change of clothes”. “Yeah sure, come on” you said and you led the way to your room.
Gogo went to protest but Honey Lemon shushed her “it’d be rude to tell her no”. “But I know I’m not going to want to wear her clothes” Gogo moaned. “How do you know?” Honey Lemon whispered and Gogo shrugged “because I never like anyone’s clothes!” but they were out of time because you’d reached your door. “Here we are, make yourself comfortable and I’ll grab you both something”. Gogo’s jaw dropped and she gazed around your room in shock. It was huge which wasn’t surprising considering it was a mansion and that wasn’t what impressed her. No what made Gogo stop in her tracks was your parents clearly let their children decorate their own rooms and Gogo liked yours a lot. Fred’s room looked like a five-year-old had thrown up everywhere whereas yours was classy but not in the snooty way rich people tended to decorate. You had a simple but tasteful colour palette that had a slightly gothic feel. You had a beautiful fireplace and a balcony overlooking a garden below. Your room smelled like a mixture of jasmine and vanilla Gogo’s favourite scents but that wasn’t even the best part. In one corner you had various weights and boxing gloves which interested her. “Y/n do you box?” Gogo called and from somewhere in your closest you laughed. “Yeah I do! I know it’s stereotypical lesbian but I love boxing. At school we had to pick two sports and I chose boxing and taekwondo. At first I was the only girl but by the end of the year I’d convinced so many girls to join we made up half the class” you called emerging with an armful of clothes. “That’s so cool!” Honeylemon called “are you thinking of pursuing sports at University?”. You shook your head “no way! I was good but I don’t have the determination to make it as a professional. No my plan is to study at SFAI this autumn”. Gogo felt her excitement sink and knew she should’ve known better “so you’re majoring in art?” she asked trying to keep the sarcasm to a minimum but some of it slipped out judging by Honey Lemon’s glare.
You however didn’t even seem to notice and if you did you weren’t offended. You sorted through the clothes and smiled “well specifically sculptures are my speciality but I also can work with wood, metal and stone”. That impressed Gogo a lot more and she raised an eyebrow “wow that’s not what I was expecting”. You chuckled “yeah I could never sit still long enough to finish a painting but give me a flamethrower to melt some metal or a hammer to chisel some stone and I’m entertained, I actually made that fireplace” you said pointing to the one Gogo had been admiring. “Seriously?” Gogo asked “you made this!”. “Yeah 2 years ago now...what do you think of it?”. “It’s really good” Gogo admitted and Honey Lemon nodded “you must be really talented”. You shrugged “I’m good but I’ve got more to learn...anyway here we are. Honey lemon this is for you” you said passing her a dress which Gogo was pretty sure she’d actually seen her wear before. “Oh my god I have the exact same one in red!” Honey Lemon confirmed and you smiled “I thought it seemed very you” before you turned to Gogo “and for you”. Gogo took in a deep breath but what you handed her wasn’t that bad at all. Some simple black jeans, a nice t-shirt and a bomber jacket. Gogo raised her eyebrows surprised and you smiled “I thought a leather jacket might be a safer bet for you but I only have one with me at the moment and it’s my pride and joy so sorry I can’t lend it you”. Gogo shrugged “that’s no problem at all”. You left them both to get changed and once she was done Honey Lemon nodded “wow we both look so normal, she really analysed us and got our styles in seconds”. Gogo nodded impressed “yeah Fred’s sister seems pretty smart, who would’ve thought it!”. Honey lemon smiled rolling her eyes but Gogo was pretty seriously impressed with you.
You were on her mind a lot that summer and every time she saw you Gogo was surprised by another great thing about you. Every time she came to the house she hoped she saw you and more often than not she did. Fred soon told you about the whole superheroes thing and so you helped the group train and were around Gogo a lot and she found herself spending a lot of time with you. She learnt you had a lot in common, like her you liked motorbikes and were designing your own. Apparently you’d also considered a degree in engineering and that was evident with how talented you were. You were also an avid reader and liked all the same books as Gogo not to even mention your music taste was eerily similar. You suggested a new band to Gogo which she was reluctant to try at first but after one song they became a favourite of hers. Fred dragged her to one of your taekwondo matches later in the summer and Gogo gawked at the strength of your attacks. After she watched you floor your opponent she knew there was no denying it, she was into you. So when they finally defeated the masked supervillain that summer Gogo decided there was no better time than the present to ask you out. She took you for a drive to  Muirahara Woods and asked you right there. You said yes and you’d been together ever since. However neither of you had told the others purely because it kept things more private and simple. This way Fred didn’t get over-involved and Gogo felt more comfortable not having all your family watching her every move. So you continued on in your secret relationship very blissfully until some problems began to arise, the first was how to get time alone together.
Big Hero 6 In Fred’s room (minus Gogo who had mysteriously disappeared)
"Hey where’s Gogo?” Hiro asked noticing they were one member down. Fred had called a mandatory team-building sleepover and Hiro knew Gogo had been here earlier. Everyone looked around when Wasabi spoke up “I think she said she was going to the bathroom...she always takes a while here, do you have really nice bathrooms or something Fred?". Fred nodded "I do, she must really like them cus she’s been 15 minutes". "Maybe she’s lost?" Honey Lemon suggested but Wasabi shook his head "no it always happens here. I remember because one time I waited for her and it took ages". "Hmmm" Hiro started and Honey Lemon shook her head "maybe we should change the subject, this is kind of private". They all nodded but were still wondering where on earth Gogo was. The answer was with you.
Your POV
"I should go" Gogo said and you sighed "already? You just got here!". "It’s literally been 15 minutes!" Gogo smirked and you blinked "really? No that can’t be right". "It has, I left bang on 7 and it’s 7:15". You frowned "well what's five more minutes?” you asked and kissed her again. Gogo laughed and managed to pull away "no, if I'm any longer the brilliant bathroom reason won’t work. I have to go...but I can sneak back in when they're all asleep". Your eyes lit up at that and you nodded "okay go, I'll be waiting up for you". Gogo nodded "I'll be as quick as I can" and with a last look at you she rushed from the room.
Gogo’s POV
Gogo hurried down the corridor back to Fred's room feeling exhilarated. When she asked you out she never expected it to lead to something like this. To something this real and great. Gogo struggled to connecting to anyone but with you it just felt so natural. Usually around others she felt odd and like she had to tone down or outright change her personality to fit in. With you it wasn’t like that. You genuinely seemed to like all aspects of her and she’d never received that sort of reception before. Gogo always used to make fun of lovesick idiots but now she was one of them and she couldn’t be happier.  Gogo had a good evening with her friends but she was very relieved when they all decided it was time for bed. She waited painstakingly for them to all fall asleep and then rushed to your room where you were waiting.
"I wish we could have more moments like this" you said curled up together and Gogo sighed "me too but now I live with Honey Lemon it's a bit more difficult". "You could stay over here anytime" you replied giving her the big doe eyes and Gogo shook her head "your parents wouldn’t like that". ""How do you know?" you asked "they know i’m gay and they like you so why wouldn’t the two...". "Y/n you know we agreed to keep this a secret" Gogo sighed sitting up. "But I think your reasons for keeping it a secret aren’t as crucial as you think they are". Gogo shook her head "y/n no matter how nice your parents are there’s no way they’d want someone like me dating their daughter. You’re the gem of the family, the one who's going to continue the family business, the mastermind who can take over from your father. They’ll want you with someone just as impressive, not a girl with no family, no money and no social status. We’re just too different okay?". You frowned as her words sunk in "well if we’re too different then what are we even doing?". Gogo paused "what?". "If we’re too different full stop then what does that mean for us? Are you saying we don’t work? Or won’t in the long term?". "Well I'm not not saying that" Gogo admitted and you shook your head "then what are we doing here Gogo? What's the point of all this? Us?". "Well we like each other and we like being together don’t we?". "Yes but you're my girlfriend Gogo not just some fun. I want to be with you openly one day and if that won’t ever happen according to you...are you saying we can’t go anywhere". Gogo swallowed "well not in the way you want, not publically". You sighed and repeated the one thought going through your head "then what's the point Gogo?". Gogo shrugged "I'm not sure then...are you suggesting we stop this?" she asked her heart racing. You paused "I want to be with you but if you won’t let it go anywhere then maybe we should. I can wait as long as you need but to just have a no full stop, I can’t live for that Gogo I just can’t". "Okay" she nodded "then I guess we have no choice but to break up". "I guess so" you nodded and Gogo stood up awkwardly. She gathered her stuff and you wrapped a blanket around yourself watching her. Once she was done she walked to your window before glancing back "well I'll see you around then I guess". You nodded "bye Gogo" and she jumped out the window.
Gogo’s POV
Gogo acted like it was no big deal but when she got back home she finally let herself feel and she cried herself to sleep. It was just so unfair, if she’d been born rich and respectable you could’ve been together but she wasn’t. She had no hope of convincing your family she was good enough for you so she just had to deal with being without you...but that was easier said than done.
Gogo’s mood was at an all-time low. She wasn’t the most cheery person normally but all week she’d been moody and volatile. She snapped at everything and any little thing seemed to irritate her which her friends soon noticed. "Can you stop that!" Gogo yelled suddenly one day while she and her friends were eating and Wasabi paused "what? I'm not doing anything". "You're chewing loudly" she growled and they all frowned. After a few meaningful looks the bravest amongst them approached the topic. "Gogo are you okay?" HoneyLemon asked. "I'm fine why do you ask?" she snapped. "Just you've seemed a little...". "Scarier than usual" Fred finished. "No!" Honeylemon cut in "just a little more stressed than usual". Gogo sighed "I'm fine okay I just need everyone to stop annoying me for 5 freakin minutes". “Okay but if you ever need to talk to anyone...” HoneyLemon started and Gogo groaned “what did you not get about what I just said?” and she stormed away. Gogo knew she was being an absolute dick but she felt like there was no way to stop it. She just felt miserable all the time and she wasn’t the only one.
Fred’s POV
Fred got home to hear you and your mother arguing which in itself was very odd considering how you all got on oddly well for an upper-class family. "Y/n but you’ve already accepted your place". "So? If I drop out another kid gets in so it won’t go to waste" you replied. "But this is the best university in the country and it has your favourite art form! What has gotten into you, you were so excited to go to SFIT". "Well i’m not anymore!" you yelled and stormed into your room. "Hey what's going on?" Fred asked. "Y/n suddenly doesn’t want to go to SFIT! She wants to go back to her school in France and attend the university there even though she hated it there. She’s been moody and emotional all week and I know something’s upset her but she won’t tell me what! Please Fred can you try talking to her? Work out what’s making her run away?” his mother begged. Fred nodded “of course!” and rushed to your room. He knocked on your door but got no reply so he just opened the door slowly. Fred found you crying into your pillow and his big brother instinct won over. “Y/n are you okay? he asked rushing to your side. You jumped but soon recovered and sat up trying to wipe your eyes. "No i’m not okay" you replied without any emotion, you just seemed exhausted. "Want to talk about it?" Fred asked. You shook your head "no, I just want to be left alone please". Fred nodded "okay but I'm here if you need anything okay?" and with a hug he left you.
After that Fred worried endlessly about you and the next day his friends noticed. “Hey Fred are you okay?” Hiro asked and he looked up “huh what?”. “Well I’ve seen three people pass us with superhero shirts and you haven’t said anything which is a pretty big indicator something is wrong” Hiro explained. “Fine you broke me...guys something's wrong with my sister!" Fred cried. "Why what's happened?" Honey Lemon asked and Fred explained how you'd been crying all week and suddenly wanted to get away from San Fransokyo as soon as you could. "Moms beside herself with worry and I can’t get her to tell me why she’s so upset" Fred sighed. The others all frowned and suggested possible reasons. "What if she had a bad breakup?" Wasabi suggested after a while and nobody seemed to notice that made Gogo flinched vividly. "Nahh y/n doesn’t date. Plus I asked all her friends at school and they said she hasn't shown an interest in anyone there since her ex".
Gogo’s POV
When Fred started explaining how upset you were Gogo felt like she’d just had a bucket of water thrown over her head. Just the mention of you made her heart race and she was worried everyone would be able to read it all over her face but they didn’t seem to notice anything. The others all moved on when they couldn’t guess what was wrong and Gogo sighed momentarily in the clear...before she started thinking about you. She felt so bad for upsetting you and was horrified you were going to move all the way to France to get away from her.
Gogo was thinking about it all day and decided she would go speak to you to convince you to stay in the city. You shouldn’t have to leave just to avoid seeing her, she’d make sure you never caught sight of her and that way you didn’t have to ditch your family or school. She was just about to leave the lab when all the monitors changed onto the same channel. It showed the view over San Fransokyo from one of the tallest towers. Everyone was muttering to one another confused when the camera panned and Gogo's blood ran cold. On top of the tower was you, strapped there cursing and yelling profoundly at Noodle Burger boy as he stuck tape over your mouth. He then explained how he’d kidnapped this civilian to force big hero 6 to come and fight him. He told them to be there within half an hour or he’d let you drop. Gogo was up before even Fred "we gave to go now!" she cried.
Big Hero 6 assembled to find robots surrounding the base of the tower but soon got overwhelmed by the reinforcements Noodle Burger Boy had brought. Gogo however had extra motivation and so she quickly disabled the bots attacking her and dodged out of the way of reinforcements. She sped into the building with one thing on her mind and soon made her way up onto the roof.
"Gogo?" you asked spotting her, although you had tape on your mouth so it was really just a noise but Gogo understood what you meant. "Y/n are you okay?" she cried rushing over. Gogo ripped the tape off your mouth and you gasped. "Damn that hurt...thanks for coming for me" you said looking away awkwardly. Gogo remembered everything Fred had said about you crying all week and she spotted the signs. Your cute nose was red and your beautiful eyes looked all tired and sad. Gogo’s impenetrable heart tightened and she wanted nothing more than to wrap you up and make it so you could never be sad again. However she wasn't sure how to do that so she focused on the most essential priority at hand. "Let's get you out of here" she said and began loosening your ropes. An explosion sounded nearby and you saw flames from below. "Almost got it" Gogo muttered before your restraints fell away and you massaged your wrists in relief "thanks". "Thank me when you're safe" Gogo replied and she began surveying a way down. She walked to the hatch and went to open it when Noodle Burger Boy appeared. "I'm sorry that reservation is mine". "Try and take her back" Gogo glared coming to stand in front of you. "No late bookings" Noodle Burger Boy cried and spat mustard at Gogo. She quickly turned, grabbed you in her arms and sped away. She disappeared around a corner and put you down. "Guys I need a lift now!" she called into her earpiece before turning back to you "stay here, I'll distract him until they get here" and she zoomed off.
Your POV
You did as Gogo said although you were itching to help her. You were just about to rush out of your hiding place unable to take it anymore when Baymax appeared. “Hello y/n” Baymax called and Hiro waved “need a ride”. “Yeah but Gogo needs help! Help her first!”. Hiro nodded and joined in the fight. You watched, now confident Gogo would be okay but Gogo wasn’t happy. “What are you doing? I’ve got this! Take y/n and go”. “We’re here to help you” Baymax replied and Gogo groaned. “I’m not going anywhere” you called and Gogo went to argue when Noodle Burger boy’s sister arrived. “Hmmm you all definitely seem to know one another...it’d be ashamed if someone fell” Trina smiled and she grabbed you in one metal hand and threw you off the tower. “Y/n!” Gogo yelled and the next thing you knew you were falling.
Gogo’s POV
Gogo reacted without thinking, she threw herself off the tower after you. You were flailing whereas she adapted a streamlined shape so Gogo caught up to you quickly and grabbed you. “Y/n hang on!” she yelled pulling your arm around her neck. You clung onto her “what are we going to do?”. “Give me a sec” she called and pressed the keypad on her arm. The ground sped towards you but a dark shape caught your eye, Gogo’s hoverboard.” Come on hurry up!” she hissed and the disk sped towards you and abruptly caught you. You jolted but Gogo kept you upright and quickly manoeuvred the disk so you were no longer plummeting to your deaths. She darted around buildings to slow your descent before finally landing.
Gogo let you go gently but your legs buckled under you and you fell. "Y/n" Gogo cried as you stumbled to the floor. "Are you okay?" she asked a hand under your chin and you nodded "you saved me, you risked your life for me...why?". Gogo rolled her eyes "you're the first person I'd risk my life for y/n, you mean everything to me". You blinked surprised "but I thought...we broke up". "I know and I've regretted it ever since" Gogo sighed "I...I think I'm in love with you". You gasped and Gogo blushed. She went to elaborate when Fred appeared followed by Baymax and Hiro. "Y/n ow thank god you’re safe!" Fred cried pulling you away from Gogo. Honey Lemon and Wasabi who'd been nearby and heard the whole thing tried to signal him to back off but he didn’t see. "I was so worried about you! Are you hurt? Baymax scan her right away! Gogo thank you so much for saving her I'll give you any one of my comic books my sister is that important to me". "Scan complete" Baymax spoke "y/n is in shock and her body temperature is very low as well as her blood sugar. I recommend a blanket and water followed by a warm meal".
A medic appeared and Fred had them take you away before you could even tell him not to. You were rushed away in an ambulance and the rest of the group changed before following. When Gogo arrived at the hospital she was a bag of nerves. She’d just told you she loved you and then Fred swooped in before you could say anything, she didn’t even know if she’d be rejected or not. "You okay?" Hiro asked and Gogo tensed "I'm fine, I just hope y/n is okay". Hiro nodded "I’m sure she is. You did a great job today, you beat us up to the top of the tower and we can fly!". Gogo shrugged off the compliment and anxiously counted the room numbers until she heard your voice. "I'm fine Fred, I told you Baymax just said I need a blanket and water". Fred was disagreeing with you when everyone came into the room and Fred saw Baymax. "Baymax! Come scan y/n again please". Baymax walked forwards and scanned you "y/n’s condition had improved, she does not need to be in hospital anymore". "See I told you!" you cried before you spotted Gogo. Fred started debating with Baymax and you smiled at her. She smiled back.
"Hey, how you feeling?" she asked. "Fine I just felt a bit weak back there when the adrenaline left me. About what you said earlier...". Gogo paled "y/n it's fine don’t worry you don’t have to reply to me". "But I want to Gogo, I thought about it the whole ambulance ride and regretted that I didn't say it back. I love you too Gogo". "You do?" she asked eyes wide and you nodded "so much it's insane. that’s why I wanted us to become public and pushed you too much. It's also why I haven't been able to sleep, eat or basically do anything since we broke up...I'm sorry for pushing you too far and I'm happy going at whatever pace you want so long as I'm with you". Gogo blushed as you touched her cheek and held a hand to it "no y/n you were right to ask about the future and there’s nothing wrong with saying what you need. I think I'm finally ready to be brave. Nearly losing you today made me realise there’s nothing scarier than that". You beamed and went to kiss her when someone gasped. "Gogo...y/n what is going on?" Fred cried. You both turned to see your brother staring and you moved away from Gogo but took her hand "it's what It looks like. Gogo and I are together". Fred gasped "really? That’s so great! Mom and dad will be so happy". "They will?" Gogo asked and Fred nodded "of course, they love you! You're always so tidy and well mannered. My mom still remembers the time you saved my life when I was choking on that action figure so she will be thrilled and that’s before we tell her you saved y/n’s life too!". Gogo paused "wow really? I thought they might be wary because I'm...not upper class". "Pft they don't care about that! I've heard both my parents say they like you so they’ll honestly be thrilled you're part of the family". Gogo blushed and you smiled squeezing her hand. "Don't say it..." Gogo told you and you smirked "I won't" and kissed her cheek "I don't care who was right because i have you back. I'm too happy to gloat”. Gogo blushed all over again and just hugged you to hide it. She didn’t care who was right either.
______
I loved Gogo and Fred’s dynamic in the show, they seemed like the oddest pairing but actually had soooo many moments together. I think they have a really good frriendship but I could be biased because strong scary girl and goofy weak guy are my favourite pairings EVER!
I swear women who are powerful, sarcastic and have trouble expressing themselves will be the death of me. I finished the Big Hero 6 tv show and now I miss Gogo...maybe I should just restart it 😂😂
