i like my job but uf they put me in charge for the night one more time I'm gonna start making them pay me like a manager

#i didnt WANT to be a manager but if youre gonna do this to me anyway you better start giving me more money #i do NOT get paid enough to manage the newbie #whos on his phone all the time and said he threw up halfway during outside trash and said he needs to go home #(he was doing outside trash because i cant. i have an issue with my hand) #RIGHT at the busiest goddamn time #(he stayed out of pity and also because he didnt want to answer the actual managers questions) #AND stay late to count both drawers because nobody bothered to teach him how to count his #AND deal with shitty customers on my own #AND the safe running out of pennies #AND the lottery machine fucking up #(and i cant do a damn thing about either of those BECAUSE IM NOT A MANAGER) #and every other goddamn thing that happened tonight #i am extremely tired of people pushing responsibilities onto me without consulting me first #my college decided that my roommates next year will consist of three freshmen - one of which is 16! #ill be 20 in october #i am not irresponsible but i am not reliable to enough to take on responsibilities like this consistently #if im gonna be babysitting at school AND at work then i sure as hell am gonna get paid for one of them #not that 16 y/os are babies just that this means the dorm is no longer an adult space and there is a minor indirectly in my care now #they seem chill but still. #anyway.
