He’s sure he’ll be reflecting on it later, but every objection his mind can raise falls silent in the face of his footsteps, as he walks past the water cooler and over the makeshift bridge and into the drafty, unfinished construction site. There are sniffles, coming from somewhere. Mumbling, too. Ekko walks softly, though not so soft to be silent, and stops, sliding his hands into his pockets.

“What happened?”

Powder crumples in on herself further, breaths raggedy. “Fuck off, Ekko.”

It's the first Solstice after Sabrina was risen from the dead. The first Solstice without Nick. In the midst of her tears and sorrow she accidentally conjures him, which leads to a tradition they do year after year. Every Solstice, for 24 hours, Sabrina can call upon her love Nicholas Scratch and they can be together. Only on this one day a year can they touch each other, and they make it count. In classic Nick and Sabrina fashion each year isn't perfect but it doesn't matter what happens, they'll always love each other.

Sabrina and Nick during Solstice through the years. Its the only time they really get to see each other without Sabrina putting herself in danger. And its the only way they can touch each other. For 24 hours each year they can hold each other and wipe their tears and kiss each others smile. Sabrina just hopes it lasts.

👀 + Regali

The lights are currently dimmed. The jester troll's face obscured by shadow as she sits in front of her dresser's vanity mirror. It's cracked. Has been for some time now, but she's refused replacing it for half a sweep now. Her eyes are closed, sealing away the gold and purple lights that usually accompanied them.

Fingers traced across grey skin, washed free of the paint that normally covered it. Her fingers follow along her cheek, her jaw, lips, and ears. Their shapes familiar yet laced with a sense of dread that followed wherever her fingertips touched.

There's a moment of pause as both hands move up to her hat and rest upon it. Her blood pusher seems to beat louder in her chest, the sound intense in her ears as she grasped at the fabric.

Deep breaths. Inhale.

One...

Exhale. Inhale.

Two...

Exhale. Inhale.

Three.

She pulls on the hat with trembling fingers. Sliding it off her head and setting it on her lap. Her hair falls loose around her shoulders. She dared not look up. She knew what she'd see. She didn't want to see the reflection. She couldn't handle it tonight.

Eventually she finally releases that breath she was holding, leaning forward to hide her face in her hands. She wouldn't cry tonight. She promised herself she'd stop, but it was taking everything not to.

Been playing some backrooms games recently and had the uncontrollable urge to redesign Almond because I genuinely wasn’t happy with the first design :/

There’s been quite a lot of differences, to both lore and character design

For example how Almond ended up in the backrooms (teleporting as the game got uninstalled on the players computer)

The AU also has an actual name now!! Un(der)install

Yes spelled like that with brackets and all

(Also, for ease of clarification, I’ve decided Almond uses It/It’s pronouns, but it didn’t discover that about itself until it got stuck in the backrooms, so any misgendering on the UT cast’s part is unintentional as they genuinely do not know :D ))(if you don’t agree with Neo pronouns you can get off my page btw, go stub your toe asshole)
