After a few months of working odd jobs here and there he finds a man in need of a fighter. Someone he's willing to train for free. And if Izuku's good enough, he can make quite a bit if money. So he agrees and finds out that he wasn't as quirkless as his diagnosis said.
After all, he needed to support his mother.
