Although I deeply regret my passivity and laziness during the past few years of my life, I believe I have learned a very important lesson from them.

During both my freshman and sophomore year of high school I basically didn't do shit. At all. Except for playing genshin and wasting my time. That worked for me during my freshman year, as my classes weren't challenging at all and I could get away with studying/doing hw the day of the exam/the day it was due. I ended up with around a 97.6 average, although I know it could've been higher if I studied bio more and got, lets say 98 instead of a 93, which is totally possible, I know it.

Sophomore year I was overconfident in myself. I was taking apchem and apworld history. First half of the year I neglected my hw in order to study more for tests, second half I did the hw yet failed a lot of apchem exams. I switched from one extreme to the other without realizing there is a middle ground. The only thing I had to do to reach it is to actually get my ass up and study.

In apchem, in the same month I have gotten a 93 and a 43 on two exams that were of similar difficulty.

I have also did extremely poorly on my essays in lit because I did not immediately understand what the teacher was teaching at all and made no effort to ask further clarifying questions or ask for help on my essays during office hours. In the end, I did speak to my english teacher, who turned out to be the sweetest person ever and I genuinely believe if I learned that sooner, lit could've easily been my most enjoyable class. Only I didn't and it was too late.

Overall, during my two years of high school I have learned that I am the problem.

There's no such thing as an awful teacher, a bad subject, inability to simply comprehend a certain topic. The one and only issue is not enough effort.

This school year I promised myself to be different. To act different. To study and learn. So far, it has not been perfect, however, it's better. I have been reaching out to all of my teachers. I have either participated in class a lot, spoke to the teacher one on one, or both. I have studied a normal amount(at least an hour) for all of my tests, although that aspect still needs improvement. I am on top of my work.

There's still a lot of room for improvement because I do believe I should be able to finish all my hw ahead of time and study for all upcoming tests of the week during the weekend. I am working towards that goal and I am enjoying the process.

Last night the number ‘8065′ was in my dream. I am now remembering it as 8064 for some reason because my brain likes even numbers but I know it is 8065. When I woke up, the number was stuck in my head. During my AP World class, I started mindlessly writing the 8 on my left pointer finger. I now have the 4 digit number written on the knuckles of my left hand. Is this just a weird thing? Ideas?

With the help of flash cards, during your test you may find them useful in your essays or saqs. These are a few key terms that I know by memory and with the help of studying, the other key terms will stick to me by heart eventually. Studying flash cards is key.
