mmm just wanted to say that i really love your writing and i'm really excited to see what you make in the future! your gsa stuff is so pleasant and angsty and i've really been enjoying wwtmk <3 that's not even getting into how much i liked the cannibalism fic.... now you'll be a part of me forever !! i'm such a sucker for that kind of thing.
actually, i was kind of wondering what you were plotting for the future so i could look forward to it! i've loved following your work so farrrr
waa hello thank you!! yknow i don't hear much about the beast in the walls but i really love that one so good to know! i can share some of my prospective calendar (though everything i say is subject to change)
once wwtmk is done, i probably won't be posting much for a bit. i might do something sword/blade/mk related for valentine's day if i can think of an idea before then. after that though, i have another little project focused on the knights at the time they first met. it's a continuation of a fateful encounter. at the moment it's sitting at about 23k, and i think i'm a little past halfway through it. ideally i'll start publishing it sometime in late february or march, but winter is usually the busiest and most stressful term so it'll be later rather than sooner. plus i'd like to have a majority of it written out first. i don't exactly have a surplus of time or energy this time of year so it'll be a while still.
most ship content will probably end up on my other pseud for the foreseeable future (excluding the potential valentine's thing) to avoid like...cluttering things, i guess? so for that there's always more knights, maybe metamorpho in a normal context, maybe arthur/nonsurat for the two people who care because i love them a lot. oh and also falspar and dragato doing whatever the hell they're doing because i would die for them.
absolutely there will be more gsa one-shots. i've had some ideas floating around but no energy to really get into them. plus my usual strategy for the gsa is to sit down and write for three straight hours because they sort of automatically put me in a flow state, and i can't do that at school cause i have other things to do. there might be some stuff about their history. i don't really know where to begin with all that, plus there's ocs i'd have to deal with, so we'll see. galacta knight related stuff is also a possibility, especially more about him and mk when they were working for nme. check out how much galactadad angst i can make
overall this year i wanna write more out of my comfort zone honestly. writing things like the beast in the walls or know your place was weird but it was also really really fun. so if i ever jump on any out-there ideas, i might actually do something with them. OH THIS INCLUDES AN ARTHUR AND MK BEING FAMILY THING I'VE BEEN SITTING ON. i completely forgot about that. i should polish it up and publish it for my birthday because it is so self-indulgent and silly. so that is now happening next week. metamorphosed one-shot is also happening later this week (tomorrow or thursday) because i'm normal about that au.
so that's a lot, and most of it is very up in the air because i'm always doing things...but you can 100% expect more knights content in the near future. wwtmk is like standing on the edge of a canyon peeking into my kirby interpretations. i have to write or i will explode

Curse of Blackmoor Manor
Tumblr media
as a huge fan of D&D and the Nancy Drew puzzle games, I decided to convert some of the games into oneshots; this is my second, Curse of Blackmoor Manor - see my first (Last Train) over here.
This is a complete oneshot, 4-6+ hours, designed for any level, and for people who have never even heard of Nancy Drew before. While pretty compliant to the game, I changed the map and puzzles to fit better for D&D.
PDF: drive.google.com/file/d/1uvnrZP2OQfYe2BKRyCNoE_fSKcZm-bii/view
please let me know if you play it, I’d love to hear how other games go.

Art trade for @fellow-traveller Requested me to draw Polnareff and Malena walking on a beach, while holding ice cream...being total nervous wrecks while blushing! Honestly, this idea was adorable to draw. Recalling the scene where Malena wanted to give Polnareff his earring back was such a tense moment, Polnareff knew that she was just about the nicest lady he ever met- yet he really simply couldn’t be in love with her. Polnareff saved her life when she was a fetus due to Alessi’s Stand ability taking effect on her- little PolPol was pretty clever! Polnareff and Malena reuniting to enjoy themselves must’ve been pretty awkward at first, and still is LOL. The background was basic, but the scene looks peaceful for the two couples. They need to sincerely enjoy themselves, because they deserve it after everything they’ve been through together.  Thank you very much for this idea- first time drawing Malena, so hopefully justice was served. Enjoy ;p

GOD i already have Several OCs and AUs for this fucking movie but. i wanna give post-redemption ebenezer (and bob) two employees who share one brain cell. imagine bill and ted. now imagine bill and ted in the victorian era. there you go. one of them is a clerk and one of them is an assistant and they’re both constantly pining for each other but they’re mutually oblivious to it and they exist in a constant loop of “no homo” (or however they would’ve said it back then) and it is INFURIATING

Diamond is Unbreakable: Episode 2 Review
Originally posted April 16th, 2016
Clever animation, fast edits, and emotional poignancy.
Tumblr media
The drama present in the second episode of Diamond is Unbreakable is impeccable. It’s an episode that effectively ties the battle between the protagonist and antagonist to the characters involved, and it is perfectly paced, constantly using quick shots and bursts of animation to display its action clearly and effectively. Not a single cut lasts longer than it needs to, and every line of dialogue and action is also motivated by the ways in which these characters have already been established while simultaneously adding new depth to them.
The perfect example of this comes with the death of Ryohei, Josuke’s grandfather. We admittedly don’t have much reason to be invested in Ryohei’s death yet, but the desperation with which Josuke attempts to revive his grandfather gives us the emotional tie we need, and it reveals to us the same kindness and compassion that Tomoko told us about in the last episode.1
Jotaro’s speech adds to this as well, explaining the kindness of Josuke in the face of brutality, as well as bringing up the idea of the Joestar family curse here and the danger resting upon Stand users, a theme of this series that means that Josuke, simply by virtue of being part of this story, is probably going to experience even more pain and suffering.
Angelo himself is fascinating as well, mostly thanks to the phenomenal voicework of Kenji Hamada, who imbues the sociopathic criminal with an instability rivalling that of Mark Hamill’s interpretation of The Joker. This is a character who, after accidentally stepping in dogshit, turns on the owner and forces his Stand through his mouth and out his ears using the blood that spurted in his mouth from the head of the severed dog he just bit off.
That action, more than Jotaro’s monologue, establishes Angelo as the worst and most dangerous criminal part of society, blending in with humanity but turning violent at the slightest offense, and so it’s incredibly fitting that when Angelo is on the ground, begging for Josuke to pass the judgement along to society, he is turned into a landmark monument in Morioh for tourists to look upon. The villain here is made a public spectacle, and Josuke leaves it to society to judge him with all his grotesque nature revealed.
Rating: 5/5

Stray Observations
1It is obviously more effective this time around, by virtue of showing rather than telling.
Josuke punches through the chest of his second innocent person this week. It’s pretty crazy, and I love how much Araki abuses “healing powers” to put as much body horror on display as he can. (Though to be fair, David Productions is more indulgent here than he ever was).
Now that we’re on the second episode, I have a bit of a confession to make: I can’t stand “monster-of-the-week” formulas. It takes a lot of work for a series to get me invested enough in its characters that I can care about their struggle against a new, generally meaningless antagonist, and there are very few series out there that pass that muster at all. (Other exceptions: Doctor Who, Fringe, Young Justice, and Supernatural (when it’s at its best)).
Here’s another confession: I adore Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, but I also don’t care that much for Stardust Crusaders, because of the first half’s intense reliance on Stand-of-the-week without ever bothering to give stakes or investment into each new enemy. There were exceptions of course; Enya, Hol Horse, and Empress come to mind, and this problem is nonexistent once they arrive in Egypt, but for the most part, each new antagonist served as nothing more than an obstacle in their path that they had to overcome in order to pursue the goals they actually cared about, which makes for boring, unnecessary conflict. (There’s still a decent “camp” value to a lot of the fights, and they’re beautifully animated and acted, which is why I was able to keep watching, despite not really caring about anything going on).
“I never thought a Stand that uses water could be so terrifying.” But you fought Enya, Jotaro. And her stand was fog! Fog! Good grief.
I wonder whether it would’ve been worth it to take a few moments to clarify that what happens to a Stand happens to the user as well, since this is a new series and all.
SAVAGE GARDEN FUCK YES!!! *ahem*
Whenever I’m late with a review I always feel the need to apologize, but I don’t know why, because you all are super patient and never give me any grief about being late with any of my reviews, which is honestly pretty great.
