The Twisted Wonderland OC (Yuu)niverse Writing Challenge

In the past, I've written plenty of AU stories and a few have featured cameo OCs. These OC were temporary characters but I'd like to introduce more standard characters to do cameos. So to my followers, I'd like to give you a chance to submit your own characters based on a list of obscure or lesser-known stories or characters that we haven't considered.

The Rules:

The list is first come first serve but chose wisely. Don't rush because you might not be happy with the results.

You can call dibs on 1 prompt on the list but you have to finish within a timely manner (24 hours) before the prompt is available again to everyone. I will update this post everytime a prompt is taken or open.

After a prompt is completed the character's name will appear as a new tag in any future works they appear in.

Be as creative as possible, no self-inserts. That would be against the spirit of being as creative as possible. I want you to think outside the box (so I have more to write about them)

Don't be mean. If a prompt is taken and someone does it anyway I discuss giving them their own prompt or letting them make their own if they like. We must be welcoming. This is for fun.

If you have questions don't be afraid to ask.

Your template must be completed in full with character info like appearance description added. You don't have to do the art but it would be appreciated.

Disney 100 ✨🏰🤍

Wishing you all a happy new year and to Disney, a belated 100th anniversary! 🎉

To celebrate Disney’s century milestone, I created an illustration based on 100 of Disney’s most known and loved characters from their respective movies/ series. I’ve included all the ones I’ve known and feel are generally popular but I’m sorry if your personal favourites aren’t here.

This has been in the works for almost four months now but due to many delays I couldn’t finish it on time. So here it finally is!

Out of all these range characters, the hardest to draw was the Cars. I’m not used to drawing cars so I’m not generally good at them (yet). Some of these may look simple and easy to draw but trust me, they’re not 😂.

With drawing the characters and the background, I like to be accurate with the respective style it’s drawn/ animated in and the colours too. But also I wanted to also simplify the 3D ones and add a little depth using shadow to the 2D ones. For example some of these films would have a desaturated grainy effect to it and I wanted to keep that. But finally after months of working on it, it’s completed and I’m happy with it! ✨.

It’s been nearly 10 years since frozen came out and people are still whining about Elsa on YouTube. I do think there are some issues with her character in the movie that I will write about in the future. However, her running away from her kingdom isn’t one of them! She is supposed to be wrong and we as a audience understand why she ran away. Elsa was told by her parents that her powers are dangerous and she is traumatized by almost killing her sister! Also, after her powers are exposed, the people in the kingdom were looking at her like a monster. It’s just so dumb to me that people just ignore that detail just to trash Elsa. Worst of all, they bring up bland ass characters like Disney’s rapunzel to show what a “good” character looks like in these kinds of videos. But that just shows that they don’t want complex characters, they just want a blank slate to project their own personalities onto.

It kinds of remind me how people trash Aladdin for lying when the movie shows us why he lies. People in his town think he’s worthless. We see that in the first part of the movie and we can see how that effects him. He even sings about this in his reprise of one jump ahead. But again, people just ignore that plot point just to trash Aladdin because he does something bad like lying. This is all due to the fact that media literacy is so low among people today. They only think in a black and white point of view. So they trash flawed characters like Aladdin and Elsa because they did something bad.

Once Upon a studio Redeluxe

Author’s note: This was made for fun that we both, @vanessafangirl13 and I, wanted to write. Also, the ending with the intern was inspired by Barbie’s Rapunzel.

At the Roy E. Disney Animation building of the company, all the animators and workers are going home for the night.

"It's so incredible to think that Walt started Disney Animation 100 years ago today. To think of all those talented artists and wonderful characters who have been a part of the studio over the years." Said the new Disney intern.

"Yep. If these walls could talk." Burny Mattinson said as he and all the employees left. 

Little did they know that the wish would come true but not until everyone left.

A security guard was at his desk in the security room when he suddenly felt sleepy. He yawned as he laid his head down on the desk, not knowing what made him sleepy.

Mickey from his production cell of Mickey's Birthday Party begins to move, checking to see if the cost was clear.

“Psst, Tink! Tinker Bell!” Mickey began to whisper to call out to a fairy. “You there?”

Then Tinker Bell flies out of her cell and goes to Mickey’s.

“Is that it?” Mickey asked, looking around to double check before looking at Tinker Bell. “They all gone?”

Tinker Bell nods with a smile.

“Oh boy!” Mickey said in excitement. Then he and Minnie jumped out of their production cell. “Come on Minnie! This is it!”

“Let's get the gang!” Minnie Mouse said in excitement. “Yoo-hoo!”

Meanwhile in the other room, Tiana was in her production cell in her blue dress when she heard the call and gasped excitedly. "That's the signal," she said, smiling.

She picked up her blue dress and immediately rushed out of her cell.

"Alright y'all!" she said, looking at the production cells as she ran. "It's picture time!"

"That's tonight?" Pinocchio asks, coming out of his cell.

"That's now!" Tiana said, looking at him with a smile before running to a lady's room to change.

"100-year group photo and the sun's going down!" Judy said, hopping out of her cell. "Come on, let's ‘hop’ to it!"

Nick came out of the same cell as Judy started to run. "Oh, a bunny pun." Nick laughs, running after her to catch up. 

But then Louis came out of his cell playing his trumpet, almost crushing the both of them. Thankfully they got out of the way before getting crushed.

"Pew, That was close." Nick said, wiping the sweat off from his brow.

"Sorry!" Louis said to them, not wanting to hurt them.

Nick and Judy reassure him that everything is ok.

Mickey and Minnie began alerting the other Disney characters and everyone was out of their production cells.

"Picture time, guys!" Mickey said to the Bambi characters as they began getting out of their cells.

"Ok, here we come!" Thumper said, going to The Rescuers cell. "Wake up! Wake up!"

Bernard, Bianca and Oliver fly out of their cell, but make a crash landing pass Minnie, who got Bolt, Mittens, and Rhino.

"Awesome!" Rhino said, rolling in his hamster ball.

Then Peter Pan flies by and crows to them

"Oh, Peter!" Minnie Mouse said, getting his attention. "Get the folks upstairs!”

 "Aye, aye, Captain" Peter Pan said, saluting to her as he flew.

Bolt barks in excitement as he and his friends run to get to the lobby.

"Okay everybody here we go!" Peter Pan said as Wendy, John, and Michael ran to follow him.

As they fly upstairs, they pass by Sisu flying and Jim Hawkins riding on his Alpanian solar cruise.

Then Maui jumps out of his cell. "It's Maui time!" he said as he turned into a hawk and flew across the room before going to the lobby. "We're meeting in the lobby!"

"Okay! See you there!" said Aladdin who was sliding down the railing with Abu, jumps but slips and slides across Frozen's rolling rock trolls.

Coming around the corner is Vanellope Von Schweetz in her kart with Dodger in the passenger seat. 

Dodger barks happily as Vanellope drives fast.

Then coming from downstairs, Cody is going for a ride with Elliot.

"Higher! Higher!" Cody said to Elliot, laughing. Elliot smiled and did what Cody asked.

Elliot flies high passing Lanny and Wayne, waving at them.

Moana comes out from a body of water, shaking some water off of her. Then suddenly, Ocean wave splash water onto her, making her more wet and Flounder flops into her hands.

“Water.” Flounder gasped.

Moana quickly rushes to the studio cafe where  Merlin, his sugarcup, Cogsworth, Mad Hatter, March Hare, Mrs. Potts, Chip and Dr. Lucille Robinson were.

"No, no, no! There's no time for tea." Cogsworth said, trying to get the others to go to the lobby.

"Merlin! A little help?" Moana asked, still holding Founder.

Merlin notices it and begins to look around to see what could be used as a bowl. “Oh! Uh, oh, ah!” he muttered under his breath then saw  Mad Hatter’s hat.  “Oh! Chapeau's Bowlious!” the wizard casts a spell that zaps water in the Mad Hatter's hat as Moana puts Flounder in the hat.

The Mad Hatter, instead of getting angry, laughs like it was a joke. Then he looked at one of Mary Poppins’ Penguin Waiter, who was holding a Lady and the Trump’s spaghetti and meatballs “Oh, waiter, there's a carp in my cap!” Mad Hatter said as he laughed.

Moana smiled and chuckled as Flounder smiled and giggled, feeling better now being in water.

But Moana looks at herself and realizes that she was wet. “Oh, God.” Moana said, looking around for a towel. “I need to get dry and ready for the photo!”

Then Merlin chuckled, “I can help with that!”

The next thing that everyone knew was a wind blew at Moana, drying her off.

Moana was now dry and smiled. “Thanks Merlin!”

Chicken Little looked at them, beginning to get thirsty. "I need a soda, I'll get ready later.” he said, getting off from his chair and going to get a soda from a soda machine.

On the other side of the studio, Anna and Elsa walked past Stromboli as he angrily tried to get something from the studio's snack machine, shaking and yelling at the machine.

The sisters slowly started walking away from the situation.

"Yikes." Anna said, nervousness in her voice. Then she turns to her sister as they walk by Hans’ cell from the 'Love Is An Open Door’ scene. "Do you think all the villains will show up?" she asked her big sister right as Hans was about to get out of his cell. 

Elsa notices him and freezes him, knowing it’ll slow him down long enough it will work and making sure that he doesn't hurt anyone. "Not all." Elsa chuckled to reassure her sister as they continued to walk.

Hans groans from being frozen in place.

Donald Duck heads inside an elevator with Humphrey the Bear, Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore, Terk, Carl, and Mother Gothel already inside.

"Going down?" Carl asked as he stepped aside, leaving him room for Donald in the elevator.

“Thanks.” Donald said, getting on the elevator.

Before the elevator doors started to close shut, a slow voice called out, “Hold…the....elevator." The rest of the characters see Flash, slowly and speaking slowly as usual.

"Huh?" Donald Duck said then he grumbles as he holds the elevator. 

"Great! That's Sloth going to take forever to get to the elevator!" Mother Gothal said, rolling her eyes and face palming.

"Yeah, I agree." Trek said, nodding. "Next time we'll try using another elevator just to avoid him."

"Lucky, Wilbur is not in the elevator and just hanging out with some friends of his doing anything to kill time or something." Carl said to Gothel and Trek.

They know what teenagers and kids are

Penny Foster, Wilber Robinson and Hiro Hamada were enjoying each other's company at the Legend's plaza. 

The Hunchback of Notre Dame's gargoyles were on top, keeping a lookout for any humans.

"Man, after 100 years, the studio is still standing," Penny said, looking at Wilbur and Hiro.

"Yeah. But the fandoms pairing US with a bunch of other charters from different studios." Hiro exclaimed. "It's ridiculous!"

"Same!" Wibur said, "No offense to the different fandoms but I hate when they try to pair us up with some Pixar or DreamWorks. Like… Can't they just leave us alone?"

"Guys, guys, calm down." Penny said as they went to one the stairs. “It's only just for fun or for fandoms and fanfictions. Sure some are… disturbing but most of them are great.”

"Ok, then…" Wilbur and Hiro said, shrugging.

The three teens saw Spring Sprite flyinging and playing with some of the plants.

They waved at her.

Then the three teens get the same idea. 

"Race ya!" Wilbur said, running a head start. "Last one gets to buy the snacks when watching at the studio theater the next time the studio closes!"

"Hey!" Penny shouted after him, running after him.

“There's no way you can't beat me!” Hiro said, running after them.

The three teens laughed happily as they raced each other.

As the teens raced each other, Tamatoa was walking by, almost bumping into one of his legs but dodge it at the last minute.

“Sorry!” Hiro said to the huge crab before running off.

Tamatoa looked at the teens as they ran off. 

“That was weird.” Tamatoa said to himself before continuing his walk.

Elsewhere, in a drawing room, Olaf is drawing something when Robin Williams as Lost Boy while Timon and Pumbaa walk by the animation section.

"Hey, Frosty! Shake a leg, will ya?" Timon said to Olaf, riding on Pumbaa’s back.

"The leg won't make a difference. It's all in the wrist." Olaf said to himself with a smirk.

But then suddenly, Genie surprises Olaf from the paper in a big entrance and makes Olaf fall apart

"Oi! I haven't seen a fall like that since Rome." Genie said with a laugh. Then he uses his magic to put Olaf back together.

"Oh! Much better!" Genie said, smiled.

“Thanks, Genie!” Olaf said, smiling at Genie.

Everyone started to get ready for the photo

In the men's bathroom, Prince John fixing his crown, Thomas O' Manley grooming himself, Chicken Little (who just got his soda) combing his head, Milo Thatch fixing his tie, Happy brushing his beard, the Headless Horseman straightens his coat, and Gaston looking at himself in the mirror as they all freshen up for the picture.

♪Every guy here would love to be you, Gaston!♪ He sings in the mirror.

Gaston kisses his biceps but is surprised by Cheshire Cat, who appears on his face and begins laughing.

That made most of the men laugh.

“Very funny.” Chicken Little said sarcastically as he began fixing his glasses

Minnie Mouse came in and covered her eyes. "Let's move it, gentlemen!" she said to them before she left.

"We are not naked you know." Milo corrected her, looking at where she was.

Camilo begins shape shifting and making fun of Gaston, which some of the guys thought was funny while others didn't find it funny while Gaston growl at him.

Meanwhile in the women's restroom, Ariel, combing her hair with her iconic dinglehopper (singing while brushing her hair), Megara was making sure her hair was in her signature ponytail, Fanny, fixing her eyeliner and hair, Abby was brushing and flossing her buck teeth, Esméralda fixing her blouse and blushing her hair, Isabela finishing up her dress with her flower power and Delores fixing up her lipstick and tying her hair, Mulan getting her hair done,  Duchess licking herself to be clean,  Cruella De Vil fixing her black and white hair, and Yzma complaining about her wrinkles while doing her makeup.

"No one should even see me in this state!" Yzma complaints.

Honey lemon, who was fixing up her glasses and doing her hair and makeup, began using her chemical balls to shut her mouth. "Your looks were great!" Honey lemon said, going back to fix her makeup and getting her headband on. 

"But stop complaining out loud." Gogo added, who was fixing her purple highlights.

Then the door of the restroom opened up by Goofy's son, Max, who is covering his eyes. “Alright, ladies! Let’s get a move on!” said Max to them.

"We are almost done, and please we are not half naked, We're fully clothed." Princess and the Frog's Charlotte said, fixing her makeup.

“He means the photo.” Fanny said, looking at Charlotte as she finished getting herself ready.

At the other part of the studio, Christopher Robin, Kanga, Tigger, and Eeyore try to free Winnie the Pooh from his cell.

"Ooh! Ooh, help and bother." Winne the Pooh groaned.

As that was happening, Antonio Madrigal is seen speaking to Cinderella's bird friends, Meeko, Cri-kee,  Pascal, and  Pua.

"Uh-huh. Meet me in the lobby."  Antonio Madrigal said, before seeing Joanna about to eat  Jaq and Gus. "Don't eat those." he said, glaring at her.

Then Pluto appears and barks at Joanna, scaring her and making her run away.

Gus laughed.

"Zuz zuz." Jaq said, thanking the both of them.

"Gracias, Pluto." Antonio said before getting Jaq and Gus. 

"Are you guys alright?" He asked, gently picking the two up.

The mice nodded.

Elsewhere near a television room, Pongo and Perdita’s puppies are watching 1940 Fantasia's "Night on Bald Mountain" sightman as MacBadger, Ratty, Mole, Ryder, Honeymaren, Sven and Kristoff walk by.

“Come on pups! You’ll get nightmares.” Kristoff said as he walked by with Sven.

Then Chernabog pops out of the TV, scaring the puppies. The puppies ran away as Chernabog got stuck in the tv.

"A little help?" Chernbog asked Ryder. He agreed and came to help him come out of the screen 

"And Chernbog, please stop popping out to scare and come on." Honeymaren said to him. “It's not halloween.”

"We are going to get to the lobby for the group photo." Ryder, added, making Chernbog get out of the screen carefully.

As Chernbog was getting help, Scrooge McDuck jumped out of the cell from Mickey's Christmas Carol with a few bags of money in his hand as the pups ran over him, making him drop his bags in the process only to be picked up by Robin Hood and Little John as they came out of their cells.

“Oo-De-Lally!” Robin Hood and Little John cheered before running off. 

Robin Hood and Little John ran past Nick and Judy at one point of their running. Robin dropped one of the bags. 

"Hey, Robin!" Nick said, picking up the bag and running after them. "You forgot the bag you stole from Mr. Scrooge."

“Oh, thank you Nick!” Robin said in appreciation.

“Nick!” Judy yelled as she chased the three.

They were followed by Todd running around with Cooper almost causing the Maiden Marian to trip and fall onto Judy.

“Um… hi?” Judy said, looking at Maiden Marian.

That is until Mama Odie uses some sort of magic to help them back on their two feet. “There you go, Sugars.” 

“Thanks, Mama Odie.” Maiden Marian and Judy said together.

Back at the elevator, Flash finally gets in the elevator.

"Thank you...for holding...the elevator." Flash said.

Donald Duck groans.

"Finally!" Gothal said. "Thought it's going to take forever!"

"Hopefully this fits all of us now. We got to close the door before-" Terk started, trying to warn the others.

Then Baymax walked over to the elevator at his medium walking speed. "I am also going to the lobby." Baymax said, squeezing in as the doors closed.

"Too late." Carl said.

"Not again!" Trek exclaimed.

"Oh, come on!" Donald Duck shouted.

The other elevator riders felt angry but felt awkward being smushed together, thanks to Baymax fluff.

"Yeah, We should take another elevator or the stairs next time." Trek said.

The others agreed.

“Like every time.” Carl said as the elevator doors closed.

Ursula was minding her business walking when she noticed she's being followed and annoyed by Strange World's Splat, who was lovestruck.

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no…." Ursula said, her voice in a warning sound.

Then Cinderella, in her original silver dress, and Prince Charming hurried down the stairs only for Charming to lose his shoe, making both of them share a quick laugh before The Little Mermaid's Max the dog takes the shoe.

"Hey, Max!" Charming said, chasing after the dog.

On the other end of the hallway, Li Shang, Tarzan,  Prince Eric, Naveen, Phoebus, Roger Radcliffe, and Tadashi Hamada were talking to Ethan Clade about the lovers and fates, specifically the difference between dating a man and woman.

“So, is dating a boy in the canon then in fanfiction? Some of us are jealous." Eric said, making the other guys agree.

"Well, What can I say? It's a whole new decade, gotta keep up with the times." Ethan said with a small smile. “Even though not a lot of people like it…”

“Hey, it’ll be ok.” Tarzan reassured him.

"Plus you are biracial. Just like my voice actor." Tadashi pointed out.

Ethan couldn’t help but chuckle.

"And where's your lovely boyfriend? We would love to meet him." Naveen said, wanting to know what he looked like.

Before Ethan could say where his boyfriend was, they all jumped when they heard Charming shouting from the end of the hall, "Hey, Eric! Get your dog!” 

All eight men looked to see Charming continue chasing after Max.

“We’ll talk about it later. You go help Charming.” Ethan said, looking at the others. “I’ll introduce my boyfriend to you later. Probably at the dinner.”

The men nodded and they went their separate ways.

Eric manages to stop his dog and grabs him. "Max, spit it out.” Eric said to Max, holding the shoe in one hand while still holding his dog.

Max did as he was told, letting go of the shoe.

Eirc picked up the shoe as Charming walked over to them. “Here you go.” Eric said, handing Charming the shoe back. 

“Thanks.” Charming said, getting his shoe and getting it on his foot.

“Your dog getting into trouble again?” Tadashi asked Eric.

Eric shrugged. “You could say that.”

“Now, come on! We should go.” Naveen said, pointing to where the lobby is.

Everyone nodded and they went to the lobby.

Mickey walks by until he sees Clarabelle being hypnotized by The Jungle Book's Kaa singing ‘Trust in Me’.

"Kaa? Kaa! You-You stop that now, Kaa!" Mickey said, warning him to stop.

Tangled's Rapunzel notices as she walks with her iconic frying pan. "Don't worry, Mickey!" she reassured with a chuckle. "I got this." Then she whacks Kaa, making him knockout and getting Clarabelle out of the hypnotized state.

Mickey chuckled before he saw the painting of the creator and one of the founders of the company, Walt Disney.

Even long after his death, even though it was heartbreaking to lose his creator, Mikey still kept that spirit alive even though times were tough with a far in between. He still wanted to continue his creator's legacy.

"It's been a long ride, huh?" Mickey said to the painting, taking his hat off. "Wish you are here so you can see how much we've come. You would have been proud."

"Oh Mickey! Where are you?" Minnie Mouse called out. "We're in the lobby."

Mickey Mouse looked at where the voice came from and called back, “I’ll be there in a minute.”

Then Mickey looked back at the painting, with a happy and sad smile. “Got to go, but thanks. On with the show.” he said, waving before going.

As he left, Walt's ghost appeared for a moment with a huge smile at his creation.

“I’m proud of you.” the spirit said before fading again.

A new character, Asha from her upcoming movie; Wish, was nervous and frightened about what everybody would do to her. She was hiding in her production cell, or trying to, with Valentino, her pet goat.

"Hey, new girl! You ok?" The Little Mermaid II’s Melody, Ariel's daughter, asked, walking up to her.

Asha jumped and looked at who was talking. "What? I-um…" she started, backing away with her goat.

But instead of going away, she fell off the tree along with her goat and out of their cell.

She was never out of the production cell herself before.

Asha found she was meant to be just a picture of a drawing, not the real thing.

"Stay away, this is a restricted area!" Asha said as she tried to get back to her cell, which was not working.

“Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! It’s ok!” Melody reassured, stopping Asha and holding her hands.

Valentino defended his owner by headbutting Melody’s leg, which didn’t faze her.

The Lady and the Tramp 2’s Scamp and Angel came to check on them just in time to see what was going on.

Scamp begins barking and calming down Valentino.

Asha felt scared.

Angel began to comfort her by nuzzling her.

"There you are! Snow told us to look for you! Everything ok?" One of the emperor's daughters from Mulan 2, Ting-Ting asked, walking over with her sisters Mei, and Su 

Asha nodded and said, “I’m just… scared.”

“Why?” Su asked.

“Just… I’m new and I… I don't know what I'm going to be called after my movie comes out. Also, Valentino and I don’t know what everybody would do or say to us.” Asha said, hugging herself.

"Hey, not everyone gets excited about the release, you and Valentino are still new and processing things." Mei said, reassuringly. “And that’s ok.”

Asha hummed and nodded in understanding. Then Asha looked at Ting-Ting and asked, “Wait… what do you mean Snow White? Sorry, I’m still new.”

"When, she's…well the first princess and first lead in Walt's first animation film back in 1937…and…She was like you once but she didn't know who she was or when she's going to be on the big screen."  Su explained.

Then Snow White came in to see what’s going on. “Hello, everyone.” she said, walking over to them.

"Oh, hey, Snow, We were just trying to get Asha ready for the photo and she’s nervous." Melody said, nodding.

Snow White nodded and looked at Asha with a soft smile.

"I'll take it from here." Snow White said to them. "You can go with Kiara, Raya, Flynn, Maximus, and Madam Mim to check the other characters and to make sure the coast is clear." 

They did as they were told and went to the characters as Asha looked at Snow White. 

“I… wow! The first princess of Walt Disney.” Asha breathed, her eyes big and wide.

Snow White chuckled softly.

"I never seen you before nori even seen your picture." Asha said in a bit of a panic. "I'm just another painting waiting to be thrown out after my film might be a failure…"

Snow White gently took Asha by the hand. "Hey, look at me." Snow White said, rubbing her hand gently.

Asha looked at her as they started to walk to the lobby.

"When I was first drawn, I didn't know at the time that the magic was about to start what the studio might become. They will already be talking about me but rumors told me I'm going to be a folly just like the short films before me." Snow said, rubbing Asha’s hand gently. "But when I was alive for the first time, I was scared and confused just like you are now. I didn't know what to do until Mickey and Oswald found me when hiding. Then they got me to Walt Disney to talk with me. He reassured me that everything will be ok, and he was right. After the news break, I was a success. I became one who always helps someone when they're new, feeling nervous for their movies and through hard times."

Asha was getting calmer as she listened to Snow White while they walked. "Really?" Asha asked, smiling.

Snow White nodded with a soft smile.

Asha begins going out the door outside of her production for the first time. She rubbed her arm and she looked around the environment.

It looks different than what she’s used to and bigger.

Asha walked with Snow White when a thought came to her mind. “Snow White, I have a question. If you don’t mind me asking.” the new princess started, looking at the first princess.

“Sure. You can ask me at any time.” Snow White said.

“How old are you?” Asha asked. “Sorry if I asked you a bad question.”

“It’s alright.” Snow White said before stopping and looking at a poster of her movie.

Asha stopped and look at her

“I am 86 years old.” Snow White said, looking at Asha.

“86?!” Asha exclaimed in shock. “But you look so… like a teen, no offense.”

Snow White nodded and giggled softly, “It’s alright.”

Asha was still in a bit of shock. “Wow! You look great for your age.” she said with a chuckle.

Snow White smiled. “Thank you.”

Asha stroked her box braided hair with her hands to calm down. 

Snow noticed it.

“Don't tell me you're still unsure.” Snow White said, looking at Asha.

“Oh! Um… I'm fine, definitely… it's just…” Asha started but stopped when she couldn’t know what to explain.

Snow had thought of an idea .

Snow looked for anyone who was going to the lobby. She saw Isabela, who was now sitting on Ferdinand as she sprinkled some flowers along with the spring Sprite, and Esmeralda nearby. 

“Oh! Isabela! Esmeralda!” Snow White called out.

“Hola!” Isabela said, greeting Snow White as Ferdinand stops so she can get off.

“Hey! Is that the new heroine?” Esmeralda said, noticing Asha and pointing at her.

Asha rubs her arm as she looks at them. 

They look different to her.

Compared to her, Asha felt like a missing puzzle piece between the two animated girls, one computer animated and one hand drawn.

Asha looked at herself to see where she landed. She was a mix of both.

Snow White knew it might take some time for her to get used to it.

Snow White begins walking to both of the girls and talking to them.

Asha looked at them. ‘They seem friendly.’ Asha thought as she walked over to them.

“So, you’re Asha, right?”  Esmeralda asked, smiling at her.

Asha nodded. “I am.”

“We heard a lot about you during your production.” Isabela said, inspecting her

“Oh? Really?” Asha asked, looking at Isabela.

“Yep. A lot of different changes.” 

“Ummm…thanks ” Asha said nervously as she began rubbing her arm.

Isabella notices the signs of nerves from Asha. “I see that you’re having the pre-movie nerves.” Isabela said with a chuckle.

“What's that?” Asha asked, even though her personality has already been written for her as idealist

“It’s where characters get nervous about their movie and themselves. Don’t worry, it's common.” Esmeralda explained, smiling and chuckling.

“Common?” Asha asked, tilting her head to the side.

“Well, all of the movie and show characters feel it.” Esmeralda said.

“But don't worry. It will melt away once you get used to this place.” Isabela reassured, smiling.

Asha nodded a bit.

Esmeralda and Isabela went to the lobby with Ferdinand.

“Was she supposed to be a sister?” Esmeralda asked Isabela.

Isabela just shrugged and hummed ‘I don’t know’.

Asha took in a breath, calming down.

"Ready?" Show White asked, pointing at the way of the lobby.

Asha looked where Snow was pointing and thought for a moment. “Yes. I am.” she said, nodding and smiled.

They went to the lobby.

Valentino began to follow them to the lobby, looking at his surroundings. He was amazed by the many different things.

Penny was excited about the photo when The Little Match Girl looks at her and blushes softly with a smile.

Penny looks back at her with a wave when Wilbur notices. “Looks like someone had an interesting somebody.” He teased Penny

“Or someone that isn't a time traveler.” Camilo joked while walking past them.

Wilbur blushed red.

 “That's definitely karma.” Lewis said as he caught up to them.

“Yep, definitely.” Hiro and Penny said together.

Wilbur rolled his eyes as they went to the lobby.

Chicken Little was with Alan-A-Dale as they walked to the lobby.

“Hey, did you know that you could walk around the concept art area and check out the other studios?” Chicken Little asked excitedly.

“Oh, really?” Alan-A-Dale asked, looking at Chicken Little and smiling softly.

“Yeah! My friends and I checked it out a few days ago! Maybe after the photo or some other time, we can go to Pixar and talk to the others or… Something.”  Chicken Little said with a chuckle.

“That sounds like a plan.” Alan-A-Dale chuckled.

Ever since they first met when Chicken Little was out of his cell for the first time, they had been pretty close as friends and talked about everything. Sometimes even talking about being anthropomorphic chickens and roosters. Aside those thing, they also talk about the other areas in the studio, just like every other cell when the studio closes.

When everyone got in the lobby, everyone started to form a line, which was getting longer by the stairs at the lobby.

Mickey flies by Dumbo.

"Coast is clear, Mick." Raya said, after checking outside for any humans along with Flynn Rider, Maximus, and Madam Mim as she opened the door.

"Great! Right this way!" Mickey said, hopping off of Dumbo and opening the door more.

Wreck it Ralph is the first to walk out but accidentally runs into a closed door.

"Oh! Ralph, are you okay?" Mickey asked, making sure that Ralph was ok.

"Never better Garfield." Ralph said as he stumbled outside and then fell over by a trash can.

“I'm surrounded by idiots.” Scar, from The Lion King, grumbled as he walked out with a few others.

Then suddenly everyone gets startled by Mr. Toad riding Aladdin's magic carpet. "Tally Ho! Wee! I'll show you the world!” Mr. Toad laughs as he rides high in the sky.

Some characters watched Mr. Toad when everyone got outside.

Then Goofy walks outside with a ladder and the camera.

“Oh great! The ladder.” said Mickey as Goofy walks with a ladder, being his clumsy self as usual.

Goofy was swinging the ladder as he walked, not noticing that he could accidentally hurt someone.

“Watch out, Ichabod!” Hiro called out to Ichabod.

Ichabod ducks his head just in time before the ladder hits his head.

When Goofy got to the spot

Goofy sets up the ladder, humming softly.

“I don't recollect if I've ever mentioned Old Reliable before." Trusty said to "He'd say, uh…"

Then Sleeping Beauty’s fairies, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather, came out and looked at the iconic sorcerer's hat that sits over the studio.

Flora noticed the hat on top of the studio. “Make it pink.” she said with a flick of her wand, turning the hat color pink.

Merryweather groaned and rolled her eyes. “Make it blue!” she said with a flick of her wand, turning it back to the original color.

"Oh, great, hear we go again." Aurora from Sleeping Beauty said, rolling her eyes with Prince Philip. “They shouldn’t agree with any shade of purple or the spots of those colors.”

“They argue about almost everything.” Prince Philip said, looking at Aurora and then at the fairies.

“They just want things to be perfect.” Aurora said, shrugging.

“You can say that again.” Isabela said, fixing her purple dress with mixed colors.

“Try being raised by a family with generational trauma.” Luisa said as she was carrying Rutt, Tuke, Maggie, Grace, Mrs. Calloway, Cyril Proudbottom, and Small One.

“Thank you.” 

“Do you think you should bring them down before the photo?” Augustine asked his middle daughter.

Asha walked, seeing the sun for the first time, and looking around. 

This was her first time outside of the studio. There's also a lot of people she has never seen before.

“Whoa.” she breathed as she looked around.

The environment looks so real to her like a dream. She looked at other Disney characters of many different art styles 2D to 3D talking with each other among themselves.

When someone isn't looking, she begins to hide, not wanting to step further and not feeling that she should be there.

With everybody finally outside, Mickey begins making sure everything is set for the photo. “Okay, everybody. Get together now.” Mickey Mouse said to everyone. 

Then he saw Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, one of Disney's first characters before him and was visiting the studio for the photo, walking over. “Oh! After you.” he said with a warm smile, letting Oswald into the group photo.

Kuzco, in llama form, got offended as Oswald gently bumped into him. “No touchy!” Kuzco exclaimed at the rabbit, not wanting to be touched at the moment.

Oswald could only do but smile and shrug it off as if to say, ‘My bad’ since he never got a voice actor, he never got to speak, only do gestures and some sign language.

“It is time.” chuckled Rafiki as he gave him the camera.

“Ah-yuck. Thank you.” Goofy said, getting the camera. He starts to climb up the unstable ladder.

“Goofy, careful!” Mickey Mouse said .

Everyone begins to have mixed looks as they watch Goofy as he begins trying to set up the camera.

The ladder became wobbly

 “All right. Now where's that timer button?” said Goofy, as he was trying to find the timer

"Oh, oh! In Three, two, one!” Iago counted

Goofy falls off the ladder and the camera is destroyed. Stitch tries to eat one piece of the camera but Lilo pulls him away.

The plan was ruined.

 “Well, that was fun!” Grumpy said sarcastically, crossing his arms.

“Yeah. Who’s idea to let goofy handle the camera?” Eugene asked. This made Rapunzel gently nudged an arm at his ribs with her elbow.

“Ow! What?” Eugene said, looking at her. Rapunzel gave him a look as Bruno said, “Not helping, Flynn.” 

“I agree.” Sisu said, nodding her head.

“Come on. Let's just get back inside.” Carl said to everyone.

“Maybe we can try it again next year.” Eeyore said in his sad tone voice.

Everyone starts to leave inside in sadness.

"Oh, no, no, no. Come back.” Mickey Mouse called out, trying to reassure them. “It-It-It'll be fine. It'll be–"

It might have seemed like the 100-year group photo wasn't gonna happen.

Then everyone stops leaving when hearing the strings of  a lute by someone. They all looked up to see Alan-A-Dale playing his lute to the song ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’, everyone had an idea as Scat Cat on his trumpet, Mirabel Madrigal on her accordion, and Junior with his trunk.

Everyone began to sing ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’.

“Anything your heart desires,” Belle started as Beast held her hand. “Will come to you.” They both sang together.

“I knew this was gonna happen…” Hades groans, rubbing his forehead.

“Let it go, Hades.” Elsa said with a smile.

“If your heart is in your dream,” Quasimodo sings with the gargoyles on top of the sign.

“No request is too extreme.” Pocahontas sang to the animals around her.

“When you wish up-” Ariel starts to sing.

Then Scuttles sings “WAH WAH WAH!!!” off key until his mouth is closed by Baloo, who makes him quiet.

“As dreamers do.” Baloo and Mowgli sang as Baloo  held Mowgli.

Everyone cheered up as they decided to help by Magical Brooms sweep up the broken camera and Fix-It Felix uses his hammer to fully repair it back to its original state, then Hercules puts back the ladder as Fairy Godmother floats Goofy to the top as he sets the timer.

"Fate is kind. She brings to those who love The sweet fulfillment of Their secret longing." Everyone sang as they got back to their places.

Asha, who was watching it all, eventually found the strength to stay. She remembers some people that go by her cell, singing that song.

Snow White begins holding Mulan's hand and pulling Asha into the song. “Like a bolt out of the blue,” the three sang together.

“Fate steps in and sees you through.” Winnie the Pooh sang as Tigger jumped onto him.

“When you wish upon a star,” Jiminy Cricket sang on Mickey's hand.

“Your dreams... come... true!” Everyone sang and posed for the photo.

Tinker Bell waves her wand to reveal the picture.

Everyone looked at the photo and were in awe, with the words: Disney 100, 'To all who have imagined with us, laughed with us, and dreamed with us. Thank You'

They all smiled at it.

"All right then, everyone, let's get back inside." Daisy said to everyone. “Let’s get some dinner.”

Everyone agreed as they began heading inside.

Mickey was the last one to go inside. Before he went inside, Mickey turned around and looked at the first beautiful star appearing in the sky as the sun set.

“We did it.” Mickey said, feeling his creator's present there.

After everyone went back inside it was just in time to have dinner. Everyone started to gather in the dining room. 

Everyone talked with each other as everyone headed to the dining room.

Hercules was talking with Kuzco, who was still a llama. “You know, our movies are somewhat similar.” Hercules said, looking at the ‘llama’.

“What? No way!” Kuzco said, rolling his eyes.

“Ok, listen to me when I say things that are in our movies.” Hercules said, going to the side of the hallway with Kuzco before starting to list the things. “Pink potions, big adventure/distance, a lot of betrayal, the villain wants the main character dead, the villain thinks that the main character is dead for a bit, and changes, both mentally and physically!”

“Ok! Ok! I see your point!” Kuzco exclaimed with a chuckle.

“But you forgot to add on something like high treason and usurping of the throne.” Jim said, passing by them.

Kuzco and Hercules nodded to him. “Right, thank you, Jim.”

Before Hercules and Kuzco start to go to the dining room, Yzma walks over to them.

“Excuse me, Hercules!” Yzma calls out, almost out of breath.

Hercules and Kuzco looked at her when she got to them. Kuzco had a ‘seriously?’ look on his face while Hercules had a bit of a curious look.

“Yes?” Hercules asked, facing her.

Yzma took a bit of a breather before making herself perstentable. “I was wondering if you could help me get an appointment with Hades.” Yzma said, her hands together as she smiled at Hercules.

Hercules was caught off guard by that. “Uh… I don’t think I’m allowed to help you with appointments with Hades.” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I think you need to talk with Pain and Panic about that or talk to Hades yourself.”

Yzma hummed, nodding. “I see.”

“But what do you need from him anyway?” Hercules asked, curious.

“It’s just for me and him to know.” Yzma said, pointing at herself and pointing to the side.

“Please talk to Hades himself on the other row of the crowd.” Kuzco said, rubbing his forehead. “And could I get the human potion please? I'm already done being a llama for the day.”

Yzma rolled her eyes as she gave him a pink potion before going to Hades.

Hercules looked at Kuzco as the ‘llama’ drank the pink potion, turning him back to human.

Kuzco was finally back to being human. 

“Oh it feels good to be human!” Kuzco exclaimed, hugging himself.

Hercules couldn’t help but chuckle, “You know, you are very committed. With you changing back and forth from llama to human.”

“Well, most people remember me as the llama and I was a llama for most of the film. Even though Tina and Naveen were frogs for most of their film, yet they don’t do the same thing as me. Maybe because the spell in their film is more permanent while in mine there’s an antidote/potion that can change me back." Kuzco said as they started to walk into the dining room.

“Good point.” Hercules said, nodding to him.

“Remember we have to be back into cells before the studio opens in the morning.” Minnie Mouse said to everyone when all were in the dining room.

The dining rooms started changing into a big one table to fit every single character and the seats were assigned to them.

As each of the characters begin to be seated and talking to each other, Tiana and the other chefs were cooking together to make big meals in the kitchen.

Doc was teaching one of the newcomers, Wish’s Dahlia to cook.

"Thank you for the help, Dahlia. We really appreciate newcomers." Tiana said, getting the additional ingredients for the gumbo.

Dahlia nodded with a smile and said, “No problem, Tiana.”

Meanwhile, at the dining room everyone begins taking their seats.

Camilo was saving some seats as he looked for his friends. He smiles when he sees them. "Hey, guys, I'm here!" Camilo said, waving his hand for Hiro, Penny, Wilbur and Lewis.

“Hi Camilo!” Hiro, Penny, Wilbur and Lewis exclaimed excitedly as they went to him. They still had the flower crowns that were given from the Spring Sprite.

"Thanks for saving us the seats." Hiro said as they got into their seats.

"Anytime, amigos!" Camilo said, smiling at them.

"Wow, we all thought the picture could be a disaster but luckily a song got there in time." Lewis said.

"Yeah." Hiro, Penny, and Wilbur said.

They all talked about their adventures before the photo.

Ethan, with Diazo, walked over to Shang, Tarzan, Eric, Naveen, Phoebus, Roger, and Tadashi, who were talking with each other before going to their seats.

"Hey, guys." Ethan said, waving to get their attention while holding Diazo’s hand.

The others looked over to look at them and smiled.

“This Diazo. My boyfriend.” Ethan introduces with a soft smile.  "Diazo, these are the guys that I was talking about."

Diazo nodded and smiled at the grown up. "Hey, nice to meet you all." Diazo said, offering his hand to them.

"Nice to meet you." Tadashi said, shaking his hand. "Ethan told us about you." 

“Oh really?” Diazo asked with a smile.

They began to sit down at a table as they talked more.

The parents and guardians figures, including the ones with pets from their films, in a space next to the table for them to eat and they all began taking their seats.

“Finally, we can eat.” Kala said, smiling softly.

“Yeah, after a photo, it is good to eat.” Nani, Lilo's big sister, said, sitting in a seat.

“Can't wait to start.” Aunt Cass said, came with some of the food.

“Yeah, thanks, Cass.” Chicha said.

Then Raya's father, Chief Benja came with Sakina, a newcomer also from Wish and Asha’s mother, and they both looked around for a seat. “Parents, I would like you to meet the newcomer, Sakina.” Benja introduced parents and guardians to Sakina.

Searcher Clade and Meridian Clade looked over with a smile. 

“Hello Sakina.” Meridian said, waving at her.

“Nice to meet you.” Searcher said, nodding to her.

Sakina waved a bit at everyone.

“Don't worry. Us parents get nervous all the first time but you get used to it once you feel comfortable here.” Sarah Hawkins said as she got settled after getting drinks.

Sakina nodded, still nervous.

“Please, sit.” Queen Arianna, Rapunzel’s mother, said, patting an empty seat. “We got your seat ready.”

Sakina nodded and slowly sat down on the seat. “Thank you.”

“It's an honor to meet another parent of the heroine.” said Kirby.

Sakina nodded and smiled. “Uh- it’s nice to meet you all too.” 

“Well then we should get to know each other.” said Gepetto, looking at the parents.

The other parents nodded in agreement.

“First off. What's the deal with those live action remakes?” Mufasa asked.

“Well, I think it’s just trying to retell the story again. Even though the message isn’t clear.” Melvin said. “Causes a lot of money and it does not always go well.”

“But at least there are some that manage to do things right.” Arianna said with a shrug.

“But don’t forget some are horrible!” Buck exclaimed, standing up. “Like sure! Some are… good at times. But sometimes it’s just bad.”

The grown ups stared at Buck.

“Ummm…Buck? Aren't you the one who didn't listen to his son in the first place?” Fi Zhou said, changing the subject as he sipped his tea.

All of the parents looked at Buck, who got quiet and sat down.

“Look it's the directors fault that they couldn't get the right idea and then change it and start from scratch at the last minute!” Buck said, rubbing the back of his head.

“Yeah I could totally relate.” Pacha said, “My directors already have the whole Kingdom Of The Sun movie in plan. It was meant to be a beauty meant to be a parody of the prince and the pauper and a musical until some executives wanted to change it at the last minute!”

“At least it went well. Right?” Sakina asked, looking at Pacha.

Pacha began thinking, through not wanting to get her nervous even more, then he nodded. “Yeah, you could say that.”

Sakina hummed and nodded.

The parent/guardian figures continued to talk.

“Well, we can't wait to see how your daughter will do in the upcoming film.” Encanto's Pepa said to Sakina at one point.

“She’s excited and nervous. I am as well.” Sakina said with a nervous chuckle. “Actually, all characters in the film are.”

“Trust us, we all felt that way from our first times.” said King Agnarr, smiling softly.

Sakina smiled and talked with the parents/guardians.

“I have one question, is that ok?” Asha asked, looking at Snow White. 

Snow White nodded. “Go ahead.”

“Ok…” Asha breathed, calming down and began to ask, “Does everything in the studio come to life after the doors are closed?”

Snow White thought for a moment and then nodded as they walked to a table. “Yes, we all need to stretch and move around a bit after staying still all day.” she said, smiling softly. “Also to see what’s going on in the world.”

“Really?” Asha said, amazed.

Mickey and Minnie nodded as they walked. 

“The world has changed a lot.” Mickey said with a sigh.

“How?” Asha asked, tilting her head to the side.

“Well, back in the day, my friends and I looked different. More of a black and white cartoony look.” Mickey explains.

“Yeah, the long way to where we are now.” Mulan chuckled as she stopped to talk to them.

Minnie nodded.

Asha hummed and looked at The Mad Matter and Tallulah Robinson were enjoying some tea and chatting about fashion trends of their day.

“Come on, You didn't have to see the elastic waist dresses and curly hair in my day when the film was released.” The Mad Matter said. “Then through the release of the '60s and '70s where they were on drugs or something. But hey, bell bottom pants were cool.”

“At least it wasn't like the low rise jeans, customized converse sneakers and the fake tans of my day.” Tallulah said, referring to 2007.

The Mad Hatter nodded and held up a cup, asking, “More tea?”

“Yes, please.” Tallulah said, nodding.

Asha hummed, while having no idea of what they were talking about, and then followed Snow White, Mickey, and Minnie to a table and sat down.

“Are you okay?” Snow asked.

“Yeah. I’m just trying to understand what everyone is talking about.” Asha said, nodding.

“Well, it would be a good opportunity to get to know each of them.” Minnie said, “plus  your own friends are already here already.” She pointed at her friends coming out of the kitchen, who waved at her.

Asha chuckled and waved back.

“Yeah, but now I have more questions right now. Like… how did they come to life, like literally out of the picture?!” Asha asked, in curiosity.

They were shock and surprised about the question

They all looked at each other before looking at her.

“What’s wrong?” Asha asked, worried that she said something wrong.

“You did nothing wrong.” Minnie reassured 

Micky took a deep breath and said, “Well, we all come to life by our creators’ care and love.”

“Really?!” Asha asked excitedly.

Mickey nodded with a smile.

The food was finally ready and each of the foods from each of their films were placed at the table along with the drinks.

“Everyone! Dig in!” Tiana said to everyone, smiling at everyone. 

The food finally arrived and everyone started to eat.

The other cooks began sitting down at the seats after serving.

Everyone talked with each other as all ate.

“So, what do you think of this Mr. New “REAL” villain, King Magnífico?” Maleficent asked sarcastically to the other villains, sipping her drink.

“He’s a bit different than we are used to.” Honest John said before eating a chicken leg.

“He is supposed to be a mix of some of us.” Gaston said before sipping a drink and eating a turkey leg.

“The difference is that he’s married- well most of us are single.” Gothal added, looking at the Evil Queen.

The Evil Queen had a glare at her for a moment before smiling a bit. “Thank you.” she said flatley at the comment.

“Narcissist.” Tarzan's Clinton said to the other villains next to him.

“I mean it would be cool to have a sorcerer as a villain, No offense, Jafar, Morgana, The Horned King, Dr. Facilier, Madam Mim, or…” Bellwether said, looking at the other villains. Then she looked at Ursula as she tried to remember her name.

Ursula looks at the sheep with a deadpan look. “Ursula. My name is Ursula.” the sea witch said with a dark chuckle.

“Right…” Bellwether chuckled nervously. “I forgot.” 

“It’s alright.” Ursula reassured, picking up a carrot and biting into it.

“I can't wait to eat!” Melody said with Arthur, looking at the food on the table.

“Yeah, I'm going to grab a turkey leg!” Arthur said, grabbing a leg.

“Same!” Melody said, getting a turkey leg.

Asha was finding which food she had to try first.

She never had dinner with the others before and was amazed by the different foods.

She tried the Spanish Puffs and it was nice. “This is good!” Asha said. “Who made it?”

“I did!” Kronk said proudly as he walked by with another plate of Spanish Puffs.

Asha looked up at him with a smile. “You did? Wow! You made these very good!”

“Thank you!” Kronk said before going to his seat.

Everyone had a good time at dinner.

Everything was calm.

Melody had a pretty good idea of how to spice things up. She threw one meatball off the spaghetti to Fred, who was talking with Wassabi to signal the plan. He excused himself and went to Melody.

“Hey, what’s up?” Fred asked when he got to her.

Melody got out of her seat and whispered something into Fred's ear.

He smiled and nodded at the plan, grabbing a beignet.

“Food fight!” Fred chatted before throwing the beignet to Wilber, who dodged it in time. 

It instead hit Asha.

“Hey!” Asha laughed before throwing the Spinach puff at Fred. Which got everyone starting a fun food fight.

“Oh-Ho you're on!” Hiro said, grabbing a rice bowl and began throwing it towards Kuzco.

Everyone started to laugh as they continued to do the food fight.

Mickey was ducking cover as food began throwing left and right, seeing that the entire room and even themselves were a mess covering food.

Then the brooms from The Sorcerer's Apprentice entered the dining room.

Everyone stops and looks at the brooms.

The brooms crossed their arms across their stick chests and had their heads a bit forward, showing that they were mad.

Everyone began to put food that they were holding down on plates.

The brooms sighed and went to get cleaning stuff.

“Now, Who started it?” Donald asks angrily at everyone.

Melody chuckled nervously as she raised her hand along with Fred. “Look, it was just for fun…” she said.

Everyone did look at each other and managed to calm down. 

It was for fun. 

After all, it was sometimes rare or sometimes common to start these types of food fights for the rest of the characters.

While they got out of the dining room to get cleaned up, the brooms started to clean the dining room.

Everyone was already in a mess covered with food and drinks.

They each began to clean themselves up with some help from the magic from each of the fairies, witches  and wizards and sorcerers. Even some with technology.

Mickey smiled when everyone was cleaned again. 

Ariel begins scolding her daughter for starting the food fight while Fred was being scolded by some of his friends.

Asha looked at everyone and began socializing with them, having a great time.

But then the Spring Sprite started blooming a ton of flower crowns for everyone.

The Little Match Girl began laughing as her flower crown floated onto her head.

Everyone noticed the flower crowns floating down to them.

“Why is that for?” Penny asked, looking at the sprite.

The Spring Sprite smiled and started to write on the wall in flowers. When The Sprite was done, the writing spelled out “For the 100 years”

“Yeah, I think we definitely deserve them, which reminds me we should take another photo with the crowns next time.” Minnie said with a smile.

“Why not right now?” Asha asked, walking over to Minnie and Mickey.

Everyone all looked at each other, all thinking she might have a good idea.

“Alright everyone!” Mickey said to everyone, smiling softly.

Everyone got into their places just like for the photo earlier, just inside and everyone wearing the crowns and the flowers spelling. And this time they were doing different poses unlike the ones in the photo, along with the direct-to-video.

Tinkerbell got the camera ready with her fairy friends.

Everyone poses and smiles at the camera as the camera takes a photo.

Everyone started having some fun, even hosted a big sleepover and even hung out all throughout the night. That is until Max and Cinderella's mice came to alert them.

“Guys! It's going to be 5 minutes until the studio opens.” Max alerted everyone.

“We gotta get back to our respective cells!” Mickey exclaimed to everyone.

Everyone quickly said their ‘goodbyes’ and ‘see you later’ and then they got back in their cells before the security guard woke up.

Tinkerbell went to the security room and flew to the screens. Then she waved her wand, changing what the cameras got from the many characters' adventures to just empty hallways and everything reminding the same.

When she was done changing the footage, she smiled as flew out of the security room and into her cell.

The security guard yawned and stretched his arms as he woke up. He looked at the cameras, checking them.

“At least no one tries to steal or even make noise in the studio.” the security guard said to himself.

The doors begin to open and all the workers begin to go in. The new intern took a deep breath and went inside

“Good morning.” said Burny Mattinson to the new Disney intern, smiling softly at her.

“Good morning.” the new intern said to Burny Mattinson, smiling back.

The two talked about how their morning was going as they went to their animation sections.

“Good luck on Wish.” Burny Mattinson said to the new intern before going to his animation section.

“Thank you.” the new intern said, smiling.

The new Disney intern went to the animation section for Wish. 

The new intern picked up a pen looking at the beginning to add the finishing touches, on a piece of paper, feeling it with magic sparkles, hoping to inspire the next generation and continue bringing stories to life.

*CW coerced/forced polyamory mentioned ~POV Mori~ After the meetings I headed back to the guest tower; I needed a break or I was going to snap. I'd change into something more comfortable while I was at it. There were servants running in and out of the castle to prepare for the festival, and a familiar blond watching them from the shade of the guest Tower. I was surprised to see him out here. "Alibaba." I called to him, "Good morning," even though it was lunch time. A short deviation should be fine.

He turned to my voice. "Mori, it's you. Uh, yeah, good morning." The bags under his eyes could be worse. "Do you know what's going on?"

I explained about the celebration for the citizens paired with my Announcement. Then I asked, "Where's Aladdin?" Morgiana was probably training, but it was weird to see Alibaba without Aladdin tagging along.

"Well..." Alibaba trailed off while looking back at the crowd.

As if on cue, Aladdin ran into the courtyard from the Palace Gates. "Alibaba! There's so much food!" Then he saw me. "Miss Mori!"

"Hi Aladdin."

Aladdin's eyes sparkled while he looked at my chest and my adrenaline spiked. The young boy dropped his staff when he got close, and jumped at me with out-stretched hands. "It's good to see you!"

I grabbed his wrists before he could make contact and glared down at him. "Never touch people without their explicit permission." There was no way in hell I was going to let him grope me like he did to all those people in the original.

Aladdin whimpered even though I wasn't squeezing him. As soon as I let go of his wrists, he ran behind a frozen Alibaba for protection. "You were so nice before! Why now??" It was written in the Character Encyclopedia that Aladdin can sense when someone will be nice to him and let him do whatever he wants, but that wasn't women being nice.

I continued my lecture a little calmer, but no less pissed, "The only reason you've gotten away with this disgusting behavior so far is that you target those that you think are too meek to stop you or will think you're just a kid who doesn't know any better." His silence meant complacency, not necessarily understanding. I adjusted my glasses. "Aladdin. If you keep this up you will hurt people. They might not say anything but they will become terrified of others touching them. Is that what you want to do to someone?”

He and Alibaba shook their heads 'no.'

I wasn't going to accept it without making sure he knew what the problem was. "What are you going to do in the future?"

Aladdin stared up at me with tear filled eyes and when I didn't soften, he looked down and finally answered. "I'm not going to touch anyone without asking them first."

"And if they don't explicitly say 'yes?'"

He squeezed his eyes shut. "Then I won't touch them!”

I looked over at his King's candidate next. "I know you're currently an emotional mess, Alibaba, but promise me you'll stop taking him to the red light district. That's no place for a child."

Alibaba just nodded with a terrified expression.

I sighed. 'You'd think I cut his hands off with how they're acting.' Aladdin was in the wrong but I was definitely taking my anger out in him.

I really needed alone time. They were standing between me and the door to the guest tower. Whenever I started walking closer they flinched. My only option was to return to where the others were. Luckily, Ja'far led me to a quiet studying room to rest.

I collapsed onto a plush lounge. Seeing those two reminded me that I still hadn't gotten the chance to talk to Aladdin about the future or Alma Toran. Now was definitely not the time for that. I needed to stop thinking in general with how my head was buzzing or I'd have a meltdown or breakdown or both. 'And there's more after this?' Meditation would help a little. I was at least able to block out some of the sounds drifting in from the hallway. The more I was able to get the world to quiet around me, the more obvious the waves became. They weren't as high as when they spiked last week, but something about them reminded me of that night. I still hadn't figured out what happened that night to affect the waves like that. --- ~POV Sinbad~ The Announcement to the citizens went exactly as planned. The people cheered as King Sinbad introduced his Beautiful Prophet. After mingling at the start of the feast, he could relax and have some fun too. This day was to officially bring Mori into his circle, and yet they had been unable to share a moment alone since sharing morning greetings. Mori was walking towards the steps down into the rest of the festival. Sinbad rose from his chair to catch up with her.

"Following after her already, Sin?" Hinahoho called attention to his actions.

The giant wasn't the only one waiting for the King's answer. Their expectations put a bad taste in his mouth. Sinbad laughed off the comment. "Is there a reason I shouldn't spend time with the guest of honor?" He crossed his arms.

The oldest General laughed. "Yeah, yeah. I'll believe that's the reason until you return with her clinging to your arm instead of some call girl."

Sinbad smiled as he waved away the comment. His old friend had inadvertently given him the perfect idea on how to quell the rumors. Delicious wine. Delicious food. Beautiful women. His country had all in spades. It was time for Sinbad to prove he still deserved the nickname 'The Womanizer of the Seven Seas.' --- ~POV Mori~ Walking around a carnival back home rarely overwhelmed me because they make me feel like an anonymous observer. It's a type of stimulation I can disassociate to while walking around and recharging. However, since Sinbad had introduced me to the citizens, I was being recognized. I had wanted to wander to get some alone time, and clear my thoughts, but this wasn't too bad. They were at least understanding that I wanted to stay in the shade. 'I can deal with this.'

One thing that the series made abundantly clear was that Sinbad took good care of his people. Those under him were fulfilled and happy. I know it was a festival so people were bound to be cheerful -and this was the party country- but this was different than reading about it. The same care that Sinbad gave his people was gifted forward to anyone who visited Sindria. I had felt it that day I went shopping with Pisti, and I was feeling it again now. Sinbad's will on the waves had a contagious affect on the people here. I liked it as much as it made me understand why all of the magi turned against Sin in one way, shape, or form.

Excited eyes sparkled when their owner finally got their turn to ask me a question. "Lady Prophet, is it true that you're going to marry our King?"

I would have been surprised if I hadn't been asked this exact question several dozen times already since my walk began. I explained that was wrong and left. My stomach tightened. 'I should probably avoid Sinbad a bit longer.'

I saw more of my OC's, gave them prophecies like I did for Kain and Behr the other week, and guessed their pasts with the 100% accuracy one would expect of their creator. It added credibility to my ability to read Fate, and raised the people's view of me. It wasn't the alone time I had wanted, but it was a huge mood booster.

The Sun was getting close to setting when I finally noticed how hungry I was getting again. I could have gotten something from one of the street venders, but I remembered the fish at the King's table, and wanted more of that. And Ja'far had made sure there was sulfate free alcohol for me in the form of mead (honey wine). I hadn't had any earlier, and I definitely was in the mood now.

Climbing the steps back up to the platform proved just how sore my legs were getting from all the walking. I've had joint and hip problems since I was a teen, so I was used to this. After resting while eating I could walk around some more before needing to call it quits. Not like I could leave early as the guest of honor.

"OH MY!!" A woman's voice cooed, and was accompanied by the giggling of half a dozen other similar voices. The sight that greeted me when I reached the top of the steps dealt far more damage than any amount of joint pain. I had forgotten that while I was out, there was a certain man that was bound to embody hedonism for the evening.

((CW is for next paragraph)) The familiar feelings of disgust, jealousy, and guilt twisted in my stomach. It was a stark reminder of what I already knew. Sinbad flirted with me but in no way was that exclusive to me. And even if he was romantically interested in someone, I seriously doubted he would be monogamous (certainly not sexually). A flirt can only be entertained by the novelty of any relationship for so long before it stops being enough for them -my own ex-fiancé made sure I'd learn that the hard way. I was coerced into polyamory by him for our last 10 months together. I learned that I actually enjoy poly. As long as my partner only flirts with me and with people I'm also with in front of me then I don't care who they flirt with when I'm not around. But I couldn't keep up with having multiple relationships -ever since I was little I've only ever preferred having a few close friends etc. I ended up ignoring my friends to have the emotional energy to give my partners and failed anyway from being spread too thin. Unless I'm living in a polycule, it isn't worth it for me. Ever since seeing myself in this dress this morning I kept ending up thinking about my past. 'I need to ignore Sinbad.'

The King's waves tried to guide me towards him, but I was not going to let that corner of the platform make my mood worse. The praise I had been soaking up for the past few hours kept me grounded. Sinbad might be the King of this country but many of its people were mine. I refused to make eye contact with anyone in that gaggle of indulgence. Instead, I b-lined for the table and the food on it. The fish was delicious, and the mead made it tastier.

All of the Generals were still there. Drakon's wife, and Hina's children were also on the platform. As I filled my plate and cup, I exchanged pleasantries, but mostly I just listened to their merry making. It was hard to ignore Skarrkan and Yam's flirting? fighting? flirting (I was right the first time) because of how loud they were. The best part was that I couldn't hear much past them. When I finished eating I decided to stay a while longer to enjoy the mood at the table. I wasn't really a part of their family yet, but it felt really nice to be able to watch them all have fun.

I noticed Ja'far walking around the table. He came to stand next to me. "How are you enjoying the celebration, Mx. Prophet?" He smiled while he emphasized my role. Maybe he accepted me more than I thought.

I smiled up at him. "I'm not the type that parties very often, but I am enjoying myself." I raised my now empty cup. "Thank you again for accommodating me."

"Of course. I only wish we knew about your allergies sooner." Ja'far was ever the gracious host. He reminded me of my younger sibling the way he strived to make everyone feel at ease and welcome at events like this.

I gave a look out to the festival, "I was having too much fun," before looking back at him. "There aren't many benches or places to rest, so my legs are a bit tired from walking so much."

"Oh." Ja'far raised one hand to his chin and looked out to the city. "I know we have some accommodations, but I guess we've grown passed what we prepared for."

I nodded. "It's one of the reasons I chose to come back here to eat. That way I could sit down to rest for a while before heading back out."

"If that's the case," Sinbad's voice somehow cut over everyone else's, "you should come sit with me." The entire table went silent when they noticed their King's words. The Womanizer of the Seven Seas was showing me his most charming smile while both his arms were around the waists of the women sitting on each of his legs.

'Is he seriously asking me to join his harem for the evening?'

Masrur commented from the peanut gallery, "Womanizer of the Seven Seas."

Ja'far spoke with the disgust I was feeling, "Just ignore him."

That's what I had been trying to do this whole time but, "If I don't respond to him at all, he's just going to keep bothering me until I do." I spoke quietly so only the General would hear.

"You may be right."

I gave my answer to the King. "I'll pass. There doesn't seem to be any room for me over there anyway."

Sinbad laughed. "What are you talking about?" He guided both women off of his lap, and held out a hand towards me. "You know I'll always make a spot for my Beautiful Prophet." Those dark feelings from earlier started to boil.

Ja'far made a comment about his King's drunken behavior. I could feel all of the eyes on us; I wouldn't be surprised if some were preparing popcorn.

Sinbad narrowed his eyes and softened his smile. "Aren't you the one that's always saying how much you like 'playing' with me?"

Fine. This was fine. If Sinbad wanted to play that game, I'd play. I could twist his words and play with those women instead. They were all wearing the same clothes and jewelry like a uniform, so they were call girls who would flirt with anyone. 'They're just doing their jobs. This is between me and Sinbad.' The waves were following my lead; I would punish Sin directly. --- ~POV Sinbad~ The buzz Sinbad had going from all the wine he had was nothing compared the pleasure he was going to receive from all of the women surrounding him. Their giggles and praise were a song he had missed for too long while he was in Balbadd. Still, it was a shame he hadn't been able to have fun with his Beautiful Prophet since the party started.

As if the to answer his desires the waves rose and brought Mori with them. His pulse quickened at the sight of her in anticipation of that feeling only she gave him. Yes, what could be better than having his Beautiful Prophet on his lap swooning along side these lovely ladies?

His waves directed Mori towards her King, but she went to the table instead. That was fine; the women on his lap and around him were more than desperate for his attention. Still, the way Mori seemed to refuse to look at him while she chatted with the others only fueled his desire for her more. Mori smiled up at Ja'far while they talked. Was she going to flirt with everyone except him? Not only was Sinbad prime real estate for flirting right now, Mori said he was her favorite. She flirted with him regularly.

Luckily, Mori's words gave him the answer. "...I could sit down to rest for a while before heading back out." She must have just been distracted by conversation while resting.

Meaning it was up to the Womanizer of the Seven Seas to remind her. "If you're looking for a place to rest, you should sit with me." Some of the women around him bemoaned the idea, and some were interested in meeting the Prophet.

Mori exchanged some words with Ja'far before answering. "I'll pass. There doesn't seem to be any room for me over there anyway."

That was an easy enough problem to solve. Sinbad disappointed the women sitting on him by guiding them off of his lap. They were nothing compared to the bigger prize Mori would be when she finally joined him. "What are you talking about?" He beckoned Mori with one hand. "You know I'll always make a spot for my Beautiful Prophet." She didn't respond, but the waves encouraged him to give another push. "Aren't you the one that's always saying how much you like 'playing' with me?"

Mori finally stood up and started making her way towards him. "You're right. I do enjoy having you as a playmate." Her smile was different than the one she normally showed him. Something about it and the way she walked was more provocative.

He had waited all day for this. 'Finally.'

She came right up to her King. The red stone hanging on the chain between her breasts swayed when she stopped. With her chest closer to his eye level, he finally got confirmation of something that caught his eye during the meetings: Mori had a freckle on the inside of her left breast. ((It's actually a scar))

She reached for his outstretched hand and stopped. "Do I have permission to touch you, my King?" Every fiber of his being told him she was talking about more than touching his hand.

"Of course."

She took his hand in her own and intertwined their fingers. "Thank you for your explicit consent." She stepped closer until her legs pressed against his and caused the fabric of his robes to pull. She was taking her sweet time which only raised his expectations. Mori's voice was dark and sweet in a way that demanded his attention. "Now, there's something about this game I apparently need to make clear."

Sinbad squeezed her hand lightly while gazing into her eyes. "Oh? And what's that?" Had his Beautiful Prophet ever looked this hungry for him?

Instead of answering, Mori started leaning over him and he felt the finger tips of her free hand traced his clavicle and slide over his shoulder as they found their way into the hair at the base of his neck. Sinbad's heartbeat quicken at Mori's sudden boldness. Sinbad lifted his free hand, but before he could pull her onto his lap, Mori stopped him. "Uh-uh. I didn't say you could touch me." Why not? -Her breath was on his right cheek. The whisper that followed caused a chill to run along his spine. "There's nothing I'd love more than to play with you and wind you up for the rest of the evening." He'd love that too. "But knowing that it will be one of the ladies here to reap the benefits of my hard work, well, that's just not fair." Mori's quiet voice made the inside of his skull tingle, and his thoughts fuzzy. "I'm actually exceptionally greedy that way, my King."

Sinbad's chest swelled with the feeling that only Mori gave him on top of the lust she was igniting. "Why wouldn't you be the one to reap the benefits?"

Mori let out a quiet sigh that rose his libido higher. Her left hand combed through his hair making his scalp tingle on the outside just as much as it already was on the inside. "You're too drunk to remember, I guess." The disappointment in her voice caused his chest to tighten. What did he forget?

The waves showed Mori leaving. How could he make her stay? "Do I have permission to touch you?" What if he played by her rules?

"Not this time." Mori's left hand pulled a lock of his hair over his shoulder and to her lips as she stood up straight. "I only came over to add a new rule to the game." The nails of Sinbad's free hand pressed into his palm. "I don't care who else you play with, but when you play with me, I expect your undivided attention." She let his hair fall. Her expression was far too calm and collected compared how his own heart was racing.

Mori's actions and words fueled a desire he had never had before. She let go of his hand, and he gave no resistance. He had lost all strength due to his sudden realization.

"Showing me such a cute expression isn't enough to make me stay, my King." What expression was he making? "Heeheehee," Mori's giggle was proof that she knew what she was doing to him. Her next words only rubbed in why she was leaving. "I can see that there are still a few ladies waiting for their turn at your attention," she looked at the women surrounding him, "So I'll have to play with you another time." Mori left her King's side. Sinbad let Mori go, but only because he couldn't think of how to make her stay. "I look forward to it."

"It's my turn next!" "Me too! Me too!"

Each of Sinbad's legs were occupied just like he wanted. 'But I...' His hands went to their waists on reflex. This didn't make sense to him -Mori was still right there. '...I don't need their attention...' Mori was leaving down the steps. '...If I have you...' Describing the desire in words shook him to his core. Maybe he was just too drunk. Never before had he wanted to leave behind the guaranteed pleasure of multiple partners, just to keep one person by his side.

((This last scene is one I've been looking forward to writing and drawing only a few months into writing this fic. I couldn't decide which moment to draw. I didn't want to regret not drawing more of it so I turned it into a full comic :D That isn't the only reason this took so long though ;-; 

I hit autistic burnout. Got sick twice (bedridden for multiple days both times). We found signs that someone tried to break into our house through my bedroom window. It has been rough. We've done a lot of work on the yard so that this rundown house looks less like a target. We still have more to do, but now the smog from Canada has put that on hold because it is not safe to be outside.

I am putting my health and safety first which is why this took so long. I haven't gotten so bad to faint which is really good. I have gotten close a few times though. Lyly has been helping me a lot when I have an episode, so I'm not going through this alone :3 I've also scheduled with work for time off here and there for the next few months so I'll be able to rest more regularly!))

and HONORABLE MENTION goes to herc and megara. like even besides the taisetsu parallels, in the original movie theres herc diving into the river styx to save megaras soul.

OHSC: Disney Prince Edition

The Host Club loves a good theme. Who doesn’t? Tamaki, the member most likely to get lost falling down a rabbit hole (after Haruhi) and researching random ass shit in until 3am, discovers the choke hold that Disney has on so many people. He gets it into his mind, and then somehow convinces the rest of the Host Club, to dress up as Disney Princes. 

“But haven’t we done that before?” The twins ask in unison.

“Yes, but not Disney princes. Many of our princesses want to be swept off their feet, and who better to do that than the princes they grew up loving?” Tamaki is overly enthusiastic (so, regular enthusiasm for him) about this idea.

The following day when the Host Club opened its doors to greet their guests, they were transformed as follows:

Tamaki: Prince Charming from Cinderella - Hikaru teased him about being the Prince Charming from Shrek, and Tamaki chided him that a true prince would never force someone to be with him and should break up a happy couple for his own self interest.

Kyoya: that one bitch from Frozen that pretended to love Anna so he could be on top, Hercules from … Hercules - Don’t we all crave our father’s love and attention, and Kyoya has certainly Gone the Distance to prove that he is worthy.

Mori: Li Shang from Mulan - he plays the slightly stoic, greatly awkward, fierce, and strong martial artist to a T. Disney later reached out to him about playing Li Shang in the live action adaptation. He ghosted them by not replying at all.

Honey: Peter Pan from… Peter pan - He’s really playing into his boy lolita role with this one. And given the stories about waking him up too early, he *might* kill a child if disturbed. He is pro letting Peter take care of population control on the island. (Look, OG Peter and manga Honey are different breeds than how they’re portrayed on TV, be careful, watch your back).

Kaoru: Milo Thatch from Atlantis - LOOK I knooow Kaoru ain’t broke, but just sit with it… and imagine the more matured and sensitive Kaoru from (spoiler) later on in the manga and it FITS! Yes he’ll always be the right butt cheek to Hikaru’s left, but HE’S SO SWEET AND GOOD, and this is my AU, so Kaoru is Milo. Plus Kaoru’s pretty smart. 

Hikaru: Flynn Rider from Tangled- smirky, sassy, whipped by the princess he finally falls for. Absolutely will steal your shit (Exhibit A: Haruhi’s pencil), and would try to flirt his way out of being tied to a chair.

Haruhi: Aladdin from… Aladdin - the SINGULAR time all the Host Club members agreed on something and said it in unison. Haruhi switched up her catch phrase of “these damn rich people”, to “these goddamn assholes”. Tamaki was aghast, and threatened to unwish her wishes to zap her back down to a street rat. Haruhi called his bluff, “bet”, but then apologized in a monotone when Tamaki got flustered and started crying.

AN: Yes, I know not all of these characters are actual Disney princes, but they are in the realm. There weren’t many solid options, because I do believe, or at least hope, that they wouldn’t kiss someone without their permission while they’re sleeping. IDC about the era the movies were made in - that shit isn’t okay, and these boys wouldn’t let it fly.

(Probably unpopular opinion for you but idk): I know that Prince Hans does not "deserve" a redemption arc and will probably not get one in Frozen 3 or 4. But I can't help but hope for one anyway. Sorry not sorry.

Anon, I can tell you weren't following my blog after Frozen was released XD

I see Hans as a complex character, not just a greedy villain, so yeah. I really hope to see him getting redeemed!... just hoping Elsa is not the one to redeem him, otherwise I'd flip a table ffs. We barely know anything about him, it'd be great to learn more about the Southern Isles and the Royals there. We only know Hans is the last of 13 kids, and that 2 of his brothers pretended he didn't exist. For. Two. Years. Talk about a messed-up family! While it doesn't excuse his actions, it's no wonder he was desperate to get away and became twisted himself. And Hans getting redemption doesn't mean he has to be friends with everyone or live in Arendelle, it can be Anna getting closure for what happened and then she reaches out to help him and end it on the two saying goodbye with a smile, each going to live their own life. There is a wonderful fanfiction that I recommend: Based on a True Lie which does a very good Hans redemption (in a way) and where Anna is really the main heroine <3

I honestly feel like Hans was done dirty and handled poorly, even as a villain. I wouldn't have minded him being a villain if the movie had done it well, Hans being a twisted villain could have been very good, but honestly? Every time I re-watch Frozen, I think "Nope, still not buying it."

Watch Toy Story 2 and there, you have a very good twisted villain! At first watch, there is little chance you'd suspect Stinky Pete to be a bad guy; but when you rewatch it, you can see the foreshadowings and little hints of his manipulation of both Jessie and Woody (even if I personally believe he did care about Jessie, at some point) to get what he wanted.

Why am I not convinced about Hans being "Evil", before his "reveal"?

One: after the meet-cute scene with Anna

This looks way too genuine, and he had no reason to fake it, no one was looking! And don't use the "red herring" excuse, it's not good either. They could - no SHOULD - have cut the scene the moment he fell into the water if Hans was meant to be just a greedy bad guy.

Two: there are no real signs (read "red flags") of manipulation in his speech and actions.

They're vague and a stretch at best, like the line "'Cause, like, I've been searchin' my whole life to find my own place" Many Disney protags have used similar lines and were looking for a place where they felt they belonged (Belle, Ariel, Hercules, Quasimodo, Aladdin...). Honestly, it's more that he adapts to the situation (that he has no control over btw).

He's not the one to push Elsa to reveal her powers, the two sisters were arguing and both were at the end of their own rope. No one knew Elsa had powers.

He doesn't manipulate Anna to push her to go after Elsa and give him control of Arendelle; Anna makes the decision on her own, he even tries to stop her or says that he should go with her, but she's the one to ask him to watch over Arendelle while she's on her journey.

The candlestick falling on Elsa was an accident! I don't care what everyone says, given how fast it happened, Hans couldn't have aimed so precisely. Hans glancing up is once again too vague, he might have been checking for a place where he could deviate the arrow without hurting anyone but he had no time. Plus, I don't know for you, but I saw plenty of people glancing up as they think/before they act (and do so too sometimes) for no real reason. Light argument at best.

At most, you can argue he lied to seduce Anna.

And honestly? Revealing his evil plan this way is just so dumb! I get that many villains tend to monologue too much for their own good because they're overconfident and when they believe they've already won, but here? It's stupid and too risky, a good manipulative villain wouldn't have revealed himself at that moment in my opinion. Either you make him a master manipulator, or you just make him a puny opportunist, you can't have both; and either way, he should have acted way differently before the reveal. No wonder so many fans (myself included) had a theory that the Trolls were the ones who messed him up with their magic "Get the fiancé out of the way and the whole thing will be fixed" so their champion (Kristoff) would get the girl.

Kukui waved to his friends as they left his house, he had everyone over just for fun as everyone had been working so hard lately. He just felt everyone needed a fun night together, which was proven right. Instead of everyone at each other’s throat, they were all laughing; Kukui just hoped this would last for a while. He didn’t think he could handle breaking apart another fight.

Once everyone was out of his sight, he turned to go inside, a soft smile across his face. He lazily picked up random wrappers and drinks left from the guests, he wasn’t upset from them leaving trash; just so relieved. He heard the TV still playing a movie some of the guests put on, curiosity and laziness got the better of him as he set down the barely filled trash bag and moved to the TV.

It was some Disney film Kukui remembered…Alex….Allan….Alladin! It seemed like the movie was towards the beginning, Alladin had just met the Genie. Kukui slowly became engrossed with the movie. He didn’t even realize that he had sat down. As the movie went on, Kukui found himself staring more and more at just Alladin until he wasn’t even really paying attention to the plot. That was until a certain scene started to unfold.

Jafar had become obsessed with the lamp and planned to eliminate Alladin to get the lamp. Jafar had created the plan to drown Alladin. Kukui’s heart started to race, and his breathing hitched as he watched Aladdin get dominated. Kukui’s eyes followed the shackles and restraints put upon Aladdin. He scooted forward sitting on the edge of the seat and they threw Aladdin over the edge of the cliff. He didn’t notice himself start to harden; he will be thankful for his very loose pants.

Once the scene was over, Kukui sat there frozen: he had no idea what he was feeling, confusion, adrenaline, horny? When the end credits started to play, he was woken out of his trance. He quickly turned the TV off and sat there still trying to catch his breath. Deciding to try and distract himself, Kukui started to rapidly clean the rest of the house. It didn’t help all he could think about was that scene, just replaying in his head over and over.

He huffed and stormed off to his room and threw himself down on his bed. He kept turning over again and again until he finally decided to pay attention to the growing problem in his pants. He let out a defeated sigh before dipping his hand below his waist band.

He started slowly and went faster when that wasn’t enough but truthfully, he knew this wasn’t what was going to help him. After being edged for the third time. Kukui shot up and grabbed his laptop that was on his side table. He typed “Prince costume” and scrolled for hours until he found the perfect one. By the time he found the perfect one, the sun was coming up and he finally laid down.

A loud sudden knock jolted Kukui out of his study. He stayed home today as he tracked his package since he ordered it. He ran as fast as he could to the door, opening it swiftly.

“Last delivery of the day!” the mailman tried to joke but Kukui was way too excited to reply formally. He nodded his head curtly and slammed the door. He ripped his package open and ran his fingers gently across the fabric. He smiled so hard it hurt, the day was finally here.

He immediately started packing everything he needed: the costume, rope, shackles, and some cloth. Kukui sat at his table anxiously tapping his foot as waited for the sun to set. He wanted it to be just like the movie and have it dark (and also no one would be out hopefully).

 Kukui heart jumped when he realized the night was perfect: dark with the moonlight illuminated the landscape. He started running out the door and to the water. The bag clanked and weighed him down the whole way to the water. Because he was so excited and so ready, he forgot to put shoes on but he loved the feeling of his bare feet slapping the ground as he ran. The grass tickled him as he slowed to a walk.

He halted when he reached the water, a sudden wave of anxiety. He had been waiting for this for days. He took a couple deep breaths before going up on the water. In the days coming, Kukui has=d visited all the local water spots to best decided which one would be the best. Luckily, the one he chose was the closest to his house and a little deep in the trees. There was a tiny cliff for him to fully reenact his fantasy.

Kukui ran to the top of the cliff and looked at the short jump.

He stripped his clothes quickly, he kneeled next to his bag and pulled out the white, flowy costume. He held it up and watched the fabric move with the wind. H pulled the pants on first: he did it slowly so he could feel the slight roughness of the fabric scrap up his legs. Once they were on he stood there and just watched the pants hug and outline his body. He did a double take at his slight bulge, he looked so good. He pulled the top over his head then put on the head piece. He felt so beautiful.

He pulled out the shackles he had received, someone had found them buried and Kukui decided to try and find out when and where they were from. He was so thankful for them now.

He clipped his ankles together and just ran his fingers across the cool metal and feet. How nice did that feel, the more he felt the shackles and imagined them he grew hard again. He reached into his bag again and pulled out rope and tied the key to his neck. Pulling out the cloth out of the bag, his heart started to pick up…this was really happening. The cloth pulled on his hair when it was tied behind his head. Drool started to dampen the cloth already. He then tied his hands to the front so he could reach the key when he was ready but still had that tightness.

Kukui closed his eyes and took some breaths, he started to feel anxiety creep up. Why? Why now?! He had been looking forward to this for days and now that he was here, really here, he started to panic. Kukui roughly shook his head trying to shake the negative thoughts away and quickly stood up. He lost his balanced quickly as his feet were shackled together.

“Ghuhst uh ut!” Kukui yelled at himself. “Phwee, thuh…uhn!”

Kukui took a deep breath before shuffling off the cliff until he fell naturally. He seemed to fall into the water in slow motion. He felt the sudden rush of cool water all over him, how wonderful. He tried to swim up a bit as he tested out the weight of the shackles, he just fell to the bottom. Panic set in for a moment, he just looked around for a second before trying to swim up again, restraints pulling hard.

“Ughhh, phuuhhhckk!” Kukui moaned as he struggled harder.

He closed his eyes to try and calm himself. He opened them and started to look around and it was gorgeous. “mmmm,” he moaned slightly. The bottom was uneven, soft sand, rocks and shells were littered along the floor. As he focused more, he could see life through fish swimming around him.

“hhmmpp,” Kukui moaned when his brain finally realized the body wasn’t getting any air. He pulled and trashed around a little.

The more he struggled and pulled on the weight, the hotter he got. His dick straining against the wet fabric. He felt his lungs start to burn and it was the best feeling Kukui had ever experienced; he started to feeling floaty. Through his body’s instinct, he started to trash more intensely against everything. The rope started to burn against his skin and the shackles started to dig onto his ankle. Kukui started to fight the urge to gulp for air as he was under water. His body really started to fight for air; the water above was moving rapidly and wild.

He looked down and noticed his erection, “uhh, phuc!” a moan traveled through the water. Kukui couldn’t look away, he loved the way the water moved the fabric around his cock. Suddenly, all Kukui could think about was the water: how far under he was, the ripples he made as he struggled, the burning sensation in his throat, the water in nose. There were no other thoughts in his head no matter how hard he tried; that’s when he came. His torso contracted as he finished.

Now that Kukui came so intensely, he had to escape. He grabbed the key off his neck and released the shackles. He awkwardly swam up as his hands were still tied. He burst out of the water and gasped for air but he couldn’t stay afloat for long and kept going back under. Once he reached the shore, he coughed and sputtered on the shore.

Once he finally calmed his breath, he looked back up at the cliff and down at the shackles again. He smiled as he decided he wanted go again. He thought about maybe next time he could get someone to actually push him off and control him.

To date, there are only 2 bad reviews of this movie and that is why I want to contribute one more grain of my opinion with this overrated movie.

I am one of those who say that part 1 is underrated and people do not really value the potential that the predecessor had, giving a thousand kicks to its 2nd part.

The 1st installment has dynamism, efficiency, funny moments (see the cats dancing in the pub), funny dialogues, the egg character is unique... It's not a perfect movie but damn, what it offers it more than fulfills.

In the 2nd installment no.

The artistic section is strange, it is a cheap copy of Sony's Miles Morales Spider-Man films.

The music is forced, not at all catchy, and the music from "Who is your fearless hero" gives a headache.

Everything is very politically correct (in 1 there was more spicy and more adult comedy, balancing adult and children's comedy).

The film is very childish, everything is just for the sake of it and there is no development in absolutely anything. I understand that children like it, but for adults these Frozen movies are somewhere between "meh" and "cringe". What a mania for creating animated movies with such poor scripts... One good thing that Pixar has is that it treats children and young people with a more mature style and not these rainbow-sounding nonsense and false messages that this type of movies offer.

Compare this disaster with the 1st or Shrek 1 or 2. Is this the masterpiece that people talk about so much? So much note for a supposed good message? How blind we are...

To begin with, the characters in Puss in Boots and Kitty are different, they suffered enormous Flanderization, making them seem like parodies of themselves.

And let's not even talk about the secondary characters, the forced plots that come out of nowhere, the anticlimactic and forced ending, but above all the post-credits scene, which will most likely be another unnecessary sequel to Shrek or Puss in Boots, to continue overexploiting the franchise.

The plot of this movie is plagiarized from Aladdin and The 40 Thieves, and a rehash of the first, it is so boring that after 5 minutes I fell asleep because of how boring it is.

The score I give this garbage is 1/10.

Wish (The things it did wrong, and the things it did right)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Welcome back to the House of Milesverse, our place for comic book and fiction talk. Today we are taking a slight detour to Disney's animated catalog.

2023 was an explosion of Disney hype and joy, due to celebrating 100 years since the company's inception. It was a year full of laughs, and shared memories. On top of this, a short film was produced to commemorate the franchise's anniverary.

Today we will be talking about Wish, an animated film that released in November of that year. The movie focused on a young girl wanting to set loose the wishes of her kingdom, kept captive by an evil king. She's joined by her plucky goat, and a hyperactive star that can grant wishes.

Wish was written off by many people, and considered an animation blunder by Disney fans. It failed to live up to the hype of people that expected differently than Disney's usual service. Some people however have found the film to be a fun, but far more average, experience.

Today we will go over the things Wish did right, and the things Wish did wrong.

The things it did right:

Right from the start, there's some key points to address in what Wish did right. Of the two opinions I mentioned, I agree with the latter choice. Wish is not a terrible film, but it is just a mildly okay one. What it has is genuinely good material that hits well.

Star plays well as a typical mascot:

The bright and speedy Star is our mascot (or one of two) for the film. He arrives in a blur to answer Asha's troubles. His arrival, however, is what kickstarts much of the film's conflict. The main antagonist, King Magnifico, wants Star for his power.

He's your typical Disney mascot character whose built for the audience to like him. Think Olaf from Frozen, a cute snowman whose made many a fan. Star plays into that exact demographic with his adorable, bright design.

I find Star's appearance to be infectious because of this. I could not help but laugh at some of his actions throughout the film. Plus he's an expert at granting wishes. Think of him like the silly Genie from Aladdin, but without Robin Williams' sheer charisma.

Asha dreams of adventure:

Our main protagonist is the kind and wishful (pun intended) Asha, voiced by Ariana DeBose. At first, Asha desires for the king to grant her grandfather's wish for his 100th birthday. However after it is declined, Asha's new goal becomes setting the captive wishes free.

I like Asha's motivations, because of how they are rooted in the idea of wishes. She just wants the best for everyone, and for them to experience it on their own. Asha fits into the Disney heroine mold, due to her compassion, bravery, and the driving force behind her goals.

It was a common misconception before release that Asha should have been the villain. People believed that her goals made her evil, or just plain irresponsible. She wanted to set all the wishes free, even including the 'dangerous' ones. Luckily, the film skips over these ideas completely, and for good reason, too.

The Teens are a reference that works well:

Moving on from our starry-eyed protagonist is her large cast of friends. Collectively known as the 'Seven Teens', they get up to funny shenanigans. Their antics and personalities never feel dry during the movie's run.

Beyond comedy relief, the seven teens are all distinct are distinct in a way. They are one of the few references from Disney media that I think actually work. The teens are, obviously, all based off of one of the Seven Dwarves. This callback from Disney's first real 'princess' film to its current one acts as a solid reference.

In addition, the teens also have a stake in the plot and offer tension to the story. They help their friend out, even when she's been ratted out as a traitor. Their personalities all shine through during the final act of the film.

Overall, the Seven Teens each have a counterpart in one of the Dwarves. These include:

Dahlia (Doc)

Simon (Sleepy)

Hal (Happy)

Gabo (Grumpy)

Bazeema (Bashful)

Dario (Dopey)

The things it did wrong:

Magnifico falls short as a villain:

Brought to life by Chris Pine, King Magnifico is the main antagonist of the film. As mentioned before, he is the tyrannical ruler of Rosas, who harbors the wishes of its people for his own power. Magnifico is a narcissist who is only willing to grant wishes if he can benefit from it.

Magnifico's entire concept was meant to play toward the 'old' Disney villains. People have long enjoyed villains like Jafar from Aladdin, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Scar from the Lion King, and more. Magnifico's personality, his lust for power, and even his green magic all call to mind traits associated with old Disney villains.

However, our untrustworthy king falls short in many ways. As a villain, Magnifico's transition to evil can come off as rushed. Much less time is spent on who he was before gaining his position. He spends a good deal of the plot hounding Star for its cosmic power.

You can say this for other villains in the franchise as well. However, I find that Magnifico suffers the most from this. He already has an interesting background set up in the story, but nothing is done with it.

In the past, Magnifico came from a loving family. He lived in peaceful lands until greedy thieves attacked. They killed his family and traumatized him. He wanted to learn magic so that he could use it to defend himself, and others.

Magnifico's worst qualities are always seen upfront throughout the movie. There is no lie that he's the 'bad guy' of the series. There's also nothing wrong with him being the main antagonist. However, Magnifico could benefit from gaining more sympathetic traits to better round out his character.

This is not me asking that he be a fully 'sympathetic villain' who was never evil to begin with. Instead, I believe that Disney had the option to still make him more complex. More than that, it would also make his transition to evil less jarring for some viewers.

Asha is another victim of the 'adorkable' trope:

Over the years we have seen heroines from Disney evolve. Starting with Rapunzel in 2013, most of them were much quirkier. This is what many refer to as the 'adorkable' trope. Characters who are socially awkward or unappealing but in a cute way.

Rapunzel, Mirabel, Moana, and Anna are all characters who use this idea in one way or another. They are put in awkward or quirky situations which also leads to easy laughs. I think it's worth noting that all of them use it well, at least.

With Rapunzel, she had never seen the outside world since she was a child. Mirabel's awkwardness came from her own feelings relating to her family. Both Moana and Anna are adorkable in their own ways, but neither of them is overwhelmed by the trope.

Asha feels like she is always on the verge of it. She's clumsy, nervous, and also awkward at times. I think this is a scenario where Asha didn't need these 'traits'. As adorkable as she can be, she already has a great narrative. Asha is compassionate, and you can feel how much she cares for her people.

The story hinges too much on the past:

This is my own personal issue with Wish itself. Wish is a good story on its own, but it also relies on references from the past. The story is full of references to Disney media.

Some references worked in the story, however. The Seven Teens for example, were integrated well into the world. Asha's basic 'cloak' is a reference to the Fairy Godmother's garb, and it blends so well into her design. Magnifico's magic is green, calling to mind past Disney sorcerors and villains.

These are references that feel natural to the story because of how they are positioned. Everything else just feels like it's for the sake of being there. The references are there to feed you, meal after meal. However, like any person eating the same meal, you eventually just get tired of it.

The Music:

Wish's music is my favorite part of the film. Every sequence in the movie is loaded with loving tunes. I just can't help but smile whenever I hear the opening of "This Wish" or "This is The Thanks I Get?".

The songs partway carry the film for me because of how bombastic they are. The visuals help hammer in the Disney magic that you are used to. Each tune is filled with so many amazing sequences that you just won't get tired of seeing it.

The credit for this lies in musician Julia Michaels, and Benjamin Rice. Joined by JP Saxe, they helped create Asha's powerful anthem. The score of the movie was meanwhile composed by Disney's notable orchestrator, David Metzger. Metzger had also done work on other films such as Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, Moana, and Tarzan.

Overall consensus: Wish is a movie that tried. And failed. But maybe that's okay?

Wish is a film that tries to do too much, and that only hinders it. It's a movie that tries to be a large, huge spectacle. It is Disney's celebration of the fans with all these easter eggs and hidden catches. That aspect is where Disney loses its magic, and it is what hurts the film.

Wish is so caught up in being the ultimate milestone celebration that it forgets to be a movie. Everything about Wish, when it is focused on its own story, adds charm and substance. The concept of how Wishes work, as aspects of real people, is brilliant.

The nature of the film alone created a lot of hype for fans. People were expecting a much bigger ordeal than what they got from the film. Because of this, it was guaranteed to create dismayed reactions from those same fans.

This is not to say the film is terrible or that it has no purpose. Wish is a beautiful-looking film that is just alright. That on its own, is what makes the film entertaining to me.

Wish is a flawed film, but one that I enjoyed nonetheless. It is a movie carried by its bright cast. I would recommend that you see the movie for yourself, instead of listening to other people. That way, you can form your own opinion on the movie.

I used to like Belle but after seeing how hard BatB staff tried to prompt her like "Not Like the Other Girls" her character soured to me. I just bought a book called The Disney Princess - A Celebration of Art and Creativity (which is beautiful! I recommend it!) and when I came to Belle's part, director Kirk Wise said something about how Belle was very protective of her father "unlike Ariel" (as if Ariel didn't attacked Ursula in RAGE when she turned Triton into a polyp. That was the first time in the film where we saw Ariel at her angriest.), and it reminded me so much of when Linda Woolverton would say that she created Belle to no be "another insipid heroine" and really, is cool they wanted Belle to be an intelligent and independent young woman but why the need to tear down the princesses that came before her? This mentality behind her creation which is also shown in the movie by showing Belle against the Bimbettes to prove how "she's different from the other girls" really made me lose interest on her :/

See, that's ALWAYS been the thing about Belle and the general discourse that's permeated every extension of her character's existence (whether you're talking about the universe her film exists in or her fandom or her creators) for as long as I can remember. It's not enough that Belle is smart- she has to be THE smartest, and all the other princesses have to be idiots. It's not enough that certain people believe she wasn't looking for her prince- she has to be THE first who's never looked for a prince while the other princesses are all passive wimps who wait for a man to rescue them. I think her character and her creators- of these Linda Woolverton and Paige O'hara have inflicted the most damage- have really began the trend of pitting the princesses against one another. I mean, at a panel where there were four princesses a few years ago, each was asked what their princess contributed to the lineup and Anika Noni Rose spoke to how important Tiana was as the first black princess. Paige promptly interrupted her to say that Belle was the first brown-eyed, brunette princess...since Snow White. Like, what?! ALSO. Nothing about Belle if you actually think about it is revolutionary? In many ways I think she's a step down for princesses.

For starters, she doesn't even have an actual song in her movie? I guess you can count the reprise as one, but it isn't even a full song, so when Paige sings for events, she has to mash together Be Our Guest and other songs because Belle doesn't even have her own. Which is insane to think about considering Ariel, whose LITERAL plotline for an act of her movie is that she doesn't have a voice, and Aurora, who everyone discourages for not having many lines, have their own respective songs and reprises. Meanwhile, Belle doesn't have her own song, and Jasmine after her only has a duet (which shows Belle's trend/negative influence). Furthermore, Belle was the first princess who got half-billing. The previous films were Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (not Snow White and the Prince, and many times it's shortened to 'Snow White'), Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid. Belle's film is Beauty AND THE BEAST. After this, the movie was literally ALADDIN and omitted Jasmine altogether, and now we have movies like 'Tangled' and 'Frozen', where the titles are purposely not "too girly" so as to attract wider audiences that would otherwise be turned off by names implying a more female heavy cast. Also to note, this is the Beast's world, with his castle, his character arc, and his journey that we're tracking, not Belle's. Snow White is the princess everyone drags in comparisons to Belle, but I actually think Snow White fares so much better from multiple plotpoints?

Belle's passion is reading, and many bring this up as if it's completely relevant and proves her character is super intelligent, but it literally never comes into play or impacts the plot in any way? Meanwhile Snow White is also clearly literate (she can read the Dwarfs names on the bed) and she demonstrates her intelligence by being able to take the names on the bed and attribute it to each dwarf accordingly without even knowing them. When it comes to struggle, they're not even comparable. Snow White is an orphan, forced servant, who's grown up under an abusive stepmother who practices magic and can kill her at any time. Belle is the daughter of a wealthy landowner with no responsibilities. It's fine she doesn't want to marry Gaston, but she also has no trade or way for supporting her father. We don't even see her tending to her barn. She literally just goes into town for a book- which she gets for free-and then later leaves her house in search of the Beast's castle. Like? Whereas Snow White is literally the victim of a HOMOCIDE attempt by the monarch of her country, Belle is welcomed into the Beast's kingdom (whereas her father was imprisoned) just by virtue of her being beautiful. Everyone fawns after Belle in her movie. She goes from the village where she's idolized (I refute the idea that she's an outsider and find it, frankly, RIDICULOUS. They sing about how beautiful she is and Gaston- who has the most social clout in the village- wants to marry her. The Bimbettes even mentioning wishing they were like her. This is hardly being an outcast) to a castle where she's equally idolized for being a beautiful woman that can potentially break the curse. She never has to work for anything and, at multiple times in the movie, just ends up leaving because things are too hard. On the other hand, Snow White, as previously mentioned, is raised by an abusive stepmother who forces her to be a servant, tries to kill her, and then, when Snow White begs the Dwarfs for sanctuary in their cottage, they initially deny her. They're not taking her in because she's beautiful like Belle- she literally has to convince them to let her stay by offering that she could cook and clean for them (these being the only marketable traits she knows as she's been forced into servitude by another woman since childhood).

Belle has no consequences either. Which leads me to address the point about her father.

For everyone who says she scarifies herself for her father and it's this deep thing, her actions in the film actually say otherwise? While she does say 'take me in his place instead' she's barely in the jail for like 10 minutes. She's immediately swept off to a private chamber with a magic wardrobe and teapot. She refuses to go to dinner because she doesn't want to see the Beast, but 10 minutes later, Be Our Guest happens where an entire enchanted castle is cooking anything she wants from her. Then, she's told she can do anything she wants but just not to go to one room. And what does she do? She goes to that room, and not only does she go to it, but she lifts the glass protector from the rose and tries to touch it. How is that not stupid but Snow White eating the apple is??? Also I might add, everyone views Snow White as an idiot for helping the old hag, but no one thinks twice about the fact that the Beast was cursed for NOT helping a similar character in his film...but I digress. When she's yelled at for trespassing, she forgets she exchanged her life for her father's a mere 20 minutes ago and runs away...seriously lol this is the woman everyone said is so strong for sacrificing herself. Like it's ridiculous! Also, not to mention, but she rejects Gaston's proposal in the end of the movie where he says he could say her father if she marries him, so it's not like Belle is totally there to save her father time and time again. She promised to take his place but broke that promise SO EARLY into the deal. Also, the woods she runs into after breaking that promise? She has to be saved by the Beast after wolves almost kill her. Meanwhile, I didn't notice a man saving Snow White from the woods she had to flee into after almost being murdered by a court-appointed huntsman but...that's none of my business💅

Rogers: The Musical Live Reaction

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Rogers: The Musical live this past weekend. I previously wrote a first reactions post based on a video I saw right before the musical opened to the public. Now I’m coming back with a sort of part 2 that includes my thoughts and reactions after seeing this musical in person.

Based on the video/live stream I watched, I felt the size of the stage didn’t play to the strengths of the ensemble, which I definitely think is smaller than the casts of Aladdin or Frozen. However, after watching it live, the spacing or staging of the ensemble didn’t make the stage feel so bare or empty. Kinda noticeable, but not overwhelmingly like how I thought it would be based on the live stream.

The mixing of the music (audio) and live singing wasn’t always the best. I was blown away by the performers' performance from the video I watched, especially by the actor portraying pre-serum/old Steve. While it may have not been the exact same actors, hearing the songs live was another experience. Blown away by the cast’s vocals, which is why I was a little bummed when the music was a little too loud or overpowered the performer.

Compared to Frozen, I really liked Rogers blend of projection screens for backgrounds with physical sets. The most common physical set piece was some buildings that would cover the wings, but the matching look between the physical and projected buildings was very pleasant.

In all fairness, I watched the video I based my first reaction on at like 1 am, so I may have not caught everything. On that note, I love how in the performance I saw, when Steve cuts Nick Fury off at the end of his song, he ended with a little nod to Aladdin by singing “you ain’t never had a friend like me” (EDIT: I went to see Rogers a second time that day, and it seems this bit is somewhat improvised since in my second viewing, Nick Fury started singing the chorus of "Single Ladies")

 Additionally, don’t know if I missed it or the recording didn’t have the background projections in frame, but I loved the projections that were included in the Time Stone/Steve duet scene. The legacy of Captain America and sort of history is incapsulated first in three images/projections: Steve in First Avenger, holding Mjolnir, and Sam Wilson’s Captain America, then a projection of Peggy, which makes sense since this musical seems to focus on their love story. Absolutely wonderful job of underlining the lyrics and what Steve may be thinking about as he sings them.

It was a lot clearer when I watched Rogers: The Musical live that after "Save the City," Steve Rogers is joined by his older self rather than his pre-serum self. The dialogue clarified this for me, so I think my sleepiness hit when watching this part of the live stream.

Since this musical started off as a joke in Hawkeye or the MCU, and pulls it’s story beats from the MCU rather than previously unadapted material from the comics, I personally enjoyed how the comic book sequence had the cells consist of stills from Captain America: The First Avenger.

Going back to the way beginning, I loved the pre-show music and how it immediately sets the mood of seeing a show that begins in the 1940s.

I know Rogers: The Musical is only running for about one more month at California Adventure Park (that is assuming it will not have another engagement in the future at the Hyperion Theatre), but one other note I want to add is watch from the mezzanine (2nd) level. Now to be fair, any level or seat is going to have a pretty good view, but if you want the best in my opinion, then you gotta find a spot on the mezzanine.

The Hyperion Theatre has three levels (orchestra, mezzanine, and balcony), and theoretically, I've watched this musical from each level. The video I first watched was recorded from the orchestra level, my first time seeing it live was from the mezzanine (accessed through virtual queue), and the second time I watched it live was from the balcony (available by doing stand-by). While a video isn't always able to capture the entire experience, the Hyperion has a fairly large stage. Therefore, if sitting on the ground level, it is likely you will constantly be moving your head to take in all the action on-stage (this isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something to take into consideration). The balcony also has a fairly decent view of the whole stage. That being said, you are on the third/highest level, so I noticed that the very top of the building set pieces or projections were obstructed by the angle you were viewing the show from. Likewise, the balcony is steep, so there are safety bars in every row, which in some instances slightly blocked my view of the performer.

That is why I say love sitting in the mezzanine (and argue it's the best spot). You are slightly elevated and can see the whole stage without any obstructions (as long as the people sitting around you are respectful and don't hold their phones up). Plus, you're close to the action, but it's not right in your face.

This turned out super long, but I don't really think that is surprising to anyone. Anyway, seeing this musical live confirmed that yes I really do love it and hope that it returns since I love this theatre so much, which makes me happy it currently is housing a production (and also because I only had one day to get my fill of seeing it live). Go see it if you have a chance, it's a lot of fun!
