A little birthday ramble for my favourite jean man~
It’s my favourite characters birthday??? Woah! That means I gotta try and actually make something-
So here, have this rather rushed birthday edgejeanist ramble for my favourite lanky jeanist because I love them too much.
Tagging: @chaotic-trash-can @kouricaesar @kiriderp @theshisthings @chiggersmcnuggies :)
TW: none! It’s fluff!
*buzz*
Tsunagu blinked slowly, his eyes adjusting to the morning light as he woke up to see two silver eyes staring straight back at him.
*buzz buzz*
“Good morning~” A familiar voice cooed.
Startled by the sudden greeting, the blond man grumbled and opened his eyes to see Shinya facing him, head perched in his hands as he smiled at his sleepy husband.
*buzz*
“Hm.....good morning....” Tsunagu mumbled, stretching his arms out and plopping them back down over the duvet.
*buzz*
“What....uhhh.....buzzing...huh?”
The silver haired man chuckled slightly at the other man’s confused expression. “Messages, love. It’s 7am. A rather special day, too, might I add~”
A rather special day?
What?
Was he missing something?
Tsunagu now felt even more confused than before as he laid there trying to piece things together.
“Wha-” he started, before being interrupted by Shinya letting out a loud laugh and pulling him into a big hug. “-hmmph?”
“Hahah! Ahhh, you are so stupid in the mornings, I love you so much hahaha~” The smaller man snickered as he buried his face into the crook of his husbands neck.
The still-very-confused giraffe blinked. “Did- did you just call me stupid?!”
“Heheh...”
“Oi!” Tsunagu pouted, blushing slightly at the sound of Shinya’s adorable laughter. “Don’t make fun of me......I’m really confused, I don’t know what’s happening, and I’m worried now that I’m missing something very important-”
Shinya simply chuckled and rolled his eyes in response to Tsunagu’s weary mumbles.
“Yes, dear~”
Yawning loudly, Tsunagu slowly sat up and started to gather his thoughts. Did he have work today? Or was it his day off? He wasn’t sure. But he could definitely tell he was missing something.
“Love?”
“Hm?” Shinya hummed inquisitively as he also propped himself up, hooking his arms around Tsunagu’s waist and resting his head on the other man’s shoulder.
“What....what day is it?”
Shinya smiled and let out a small sigh.
“Tuesday!” He exclaimed brightly, his eyes sparkling mischievously as he toyed with his partner’s confused morning brain.
“Ah.....wait, no, I mean the date. ‘Cause it might- oh come on, Shinya, stop-” Tsunagu huffed, realising the smaller man’s intentions to mess with him even more than he already was. That little sneaky ninja....
Shinya simply chuckled at the taller man’s response and slid off the side of the bed, making his way to go and get ready for the day. “Heh...it’s the 5th of October....ring any bells?”
The 5th of October????
The 5th of October........
“Ah!” Tsunagu jumped up, accidentally startling the other man with his sudden enthusiasm. “It’s my sister’s birthday!!!”
Wow.
Shinya stood there for a moment before bursting into laughter, though trying very hard to stifle it. ‘Oh my god he’s a fucking idiot-’
Tsunagu blinked. “W-why are you laughing?”
The silver haired man shook his head and tried to keep a straight face, thinking incredibly hard about his response before simply settling with a small, “it took ya long enough!”, before turning to head out of the bedroom.
“I’m phoning Ai, gonna pester her until she answers me- wait, where are you going?” Tsunagu questioned, rapidly unlocking his phone and dialling his sister’s number while managing to completely ignore the various messages and notifications that he had received.
“Ahh, it’s getting kinda late, I need to go and wake Izumi up for school, I have work, and I’m pretty sure you have a morning patrol, do you not?” Shinya scratched the back of his neck as he made his way out the door. “Make sure ehe- ahEm- make sure to tell her happy birthday for me!”
“Ah....yeah you have a point....okay then.”
Tsunagu looked down at the phone, making sure it was ringing, and waited for it to be answered.
*click*
“Hello?”
“Hey, dumbass, happy birthday!! Hope you have a great day, love you lots!” Tsunagu sang down the phone, showing no hesitation to greeting his beloved sibling.
“Thanks, you lanky shit, happy birthday to you too! Sending love from all of us, have a great day yourself!” Ai chirped in reply. “Don’t get lost on patrol this time either, stupid, last time we waited for hours at mom’s for you to finally show up.”
Tsunagu blinked. What was that? “Happy birthday to me too?”
“Huh?”
That’s when he finally fully woke up and actually realised what a literal dumbass he was being. A massive idiot. No wonder why Shinya was acting so smug and snickering to himself earlier.
“Oh my fucking god-” Tsunagu covered his face with his hands as he wallowed in his own embarrassment. “Ai, I’m a fucking idiot, it’s my birthday isn’t it?”
The line went silent for about ten seconds before the woman on the other side erupted into fits of laughter.
“OH MY GOD!!! HAHAHA THAT IS FANTASTIC-”
“Ai...”
“AHAHA TSU FORGOT- AHAHAhA-”
“Ai, stop, it’s my birthday-”
“OUR birthday! You somehow remembered that it was mine and forgot that it was yours as well- we’re TWINS Tsunagu, we have had the same birthday for over 37 years!! Hahaha~”
“Yeah, yeah, okay, whatever....” the blond man sheepishly muttered as he continued to hide his face in shame. This was going to be a long day...
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
After what seemed like a while of embarrassment and one-sided laughter, Tsunagu ended up hanging up and threw his phone to the side, huffing as he tried to shake off how embarrassed he felt.
He sat thinking about the day ahead of him for a little while before noticing some hushed whispers and muffled laughter coming from behind the door.
Smiling to himself slightly at how adorable his husband and daughter were, he rolled his eyes, laughing as he opened the door to reveal two sneaky silver haired troublemakers staring up at him with big mischievous eyes.
“Gotcha~” Tsunagu sang, reaching down to tickle Izumi under the chin playfully.
“Wahhhh!! He caught us!!!” The small child exclaimed, giggling as she jumped into her fathers arms. “Happy Birthday, dad!!”
“Oh, why thank you, sunshine!” The blond man happily responded, twirling his daughter around as he exchanged a soft gaze with his partner, who was now leaning against the door frame with a cup of warm tea.
“So you finally remembered? Got that old brain woken up finally~~” Shinya teased, a sly grin spread across his face.
Tsunagu chuckled. “Hey now, you’re only a few years younger than me y’know! And I’m only a year older than I was yesterday, leave me be!”
“Ahh, sorry sorry~”
“You better be. You weren’t any help this morning when I was oh so lost and confused! Laughing at me, unbelievable!”
“Papa said you were very silly and forgot your birthday!” Izumi chimed in, sticking her tongue out at her taller dad as he ruffled her hair.
“Did he now?” Tsunagu raised an eyebrow as he looked back up at Shinya.
“Noooo......” the sly ninja pouted, winking at their daughter in a very over exaggerated manner.
“I see.....”
Sharing plenty of mischievous joy, the three of them laughed and headed downstairs to get ready for the day.
Watching as their child whizzed around gathering all of her school items, the two parents stood silently together, smiling at Izumi’s enthusiasm as she twirled around.
Shinya wrapped his arm around Tsunagu and looked up at the taller figure gently as he felt the other return the same action, smiling as he felt his face heat up, ever so slightly, and familiarly.
“Happy birthday, hon.” The smaller figure said as he leant into his husband’s warm embrace. “Love you.”
Tsunagu sighed happily in response, feeling his heart flutter slightly as he looked down at his small husband, before leaning down and pecking Shinya’s forehead and smiling as he rested his head gently on top of his. “Thank you, dear.”
“Love you too.”

Okay, y’all asked so here’s my first take on Nomu!Jeanist and Katsuki having to handle it;
It starts with Katsuki getting kidnapped by the new and improved LOV, who now have much longer term plans for him. They bring him out to their new hideout which is located in the middle of the woods, and he's put into a cell while stuff gets sorted out. They've also got some sort of quirk canceling/dampening tech on him.
Only, Katsuki manages to get free. He gets out of his chains and cell (and he does it fucking fast), although for whatever reason he can't safely remove the quirk restraint tech. Still though, he's now loose in their base, and he managed to do it without alerting them, meaning he's got about 12 hours to get the fuck out before they realize he's gone.
Being Katsuki, and being sleep deprived and probably a bit drugged up still, he decides it's not good enough to just escape though. He wants information. Or at least something to fuck the league over. So he gets himself down to the labs where he finds the doctor's main computer. It's password protected, but he can tell that it's got master files for all the nomu experiments.
He doesn't have the time or skill to figure out the password, so he does the logical next thing and just steals the whole damn hard drive.
Great! And he also finds out in the process that there's an exit in the labs, one that's currently unguarded and has minimal/no cameras around it.
The only problem is it's through the area where in-progress Nomu are stored.
Still, it's his best chance, so Katsuki takes it, sneaking through the facilities. Just his luck, because all the Nomu seem to be put away or asleep for the moment. He's feet away from the door, when he accidentally bumps something, making a small noise.
And he was totally ready to just run for it.
And then a hauntingly familiar voice calls out curiously, asking if someone's there, and Katsuki finds himself frozen, his blood running cold.
The exit is right there. He knows he should take it. He knows he shouldn't turn back. But he can't bring himself to move forward again. Not when he knows exactly who that voice belongs to.
Taking a deep breath, he does the stupid thing and turns back. It only takes him a minute or two to reach a door with a clipboard out front that tells him everything he needs to know.
Subject: Best Jeanist / Tsunagu Hakamata
New name not assigned.
Progress: Intelligence retained, quirk mastery retained, physical modifications complete, obedience mostly complete, some recurring memories.
Needs training on purpose and first assignments one memories abate completely.
It's so fucking dumb of him, but Katsuki reads through all the info he can and then opens the door to Jeanist's 'room'. To his surprise, isn’t locked, and it's not really much of a room either. It's just got a table and a chair, with a single light and some papers on the table. They appear to be assessments that Nomu!Jeanist was filling out.
The worst part is probably how human he still looks
Jeanist is meant to be a nomu similar to Kurogiri. They wanted to keep his mastery of his quirk, but it's a quirk that requires high levels of thought and planning. So he couldn't be warped too far. He's not the man Katsuki knew though.
Now his hair is dark and long, it seems to be made of some thread like material. His skin is sickly with a purple tinge to it, and he has some newly acquired scars and stitching, but his body is mostly the same. His eyes are the same. Hell, even his outfit hasn't changed that much. It's just dark colored now.
Katsuki is left in a state of shock at the sight, and he just stares for several long seconds before Nomu!Jeanist asks politely if everything's okay, or if he's supposed to do something. In that moment, Katsuki realizes he has a choice to make.
The smart thing to do is to leave Jeanist here. He's not human anymore, and Katsuki has no idea how to get him back. But Katsuki isn't a fucking quitter and he's not a coward either, so he says fuck that and decides to try if nothing else.
He's not dumb about it though. He knows he's got no hope of appealing to Jeanist or magically turning him back to normal, so he goes another route entirely; He lies through his teeth.
See, Jeanist is still in the in-progress phase as indicated by his charts. He hasn't yet been given any singular commander or mission. He also has some vague memories of Katsuki left, making Katsuki feel familiar. It's enough for his programing to assume that Katsuki is someone he's supposed to obey, and Katsuki uses that.
It takes some fast thinking, but Katsuki says that Jeanist has been deemed ready for his mission, and Katsuki is assigned to him. They're leaving right now. His story is that the two of them are meant to go under cover as heroes to get information, and he has a hard drive full of fake information to mislead the heroes.
Only a few high level members know about their mission though, so it doesn't leak out. As such, all of the other league members have been told that they're 'traitors' and to try to capture them so it looks realistic. Jeanist isn't supposed to listen to anyone, even Tomura, unless he's given the codeword. Katsuki is able to play off Jeanist's faint recollections of being a hero, and his memories of Katsuki being one too, and it's enough that's he's convinced and on board with the plan.
Excellent! So he and Katsuki escape together, still currently undetected after Katsuki ensures Jeanist doesn't have a tracker implanted into him or anything.
Only, they're still in the middle of the woods.
It's a 4-5 day trip before they're going to reach civilization again, and thank fuck Katsuki was able to find a map before this to figure that out and where they need to go. Katsuki has a lot of hiking experience and he's good at it, so with Nomu!Jeanist's help, they're making good progress and nearly untrackable. Which is good because once the league finds out they're gone, the hunt for them is on.
What's not so good, is Katsuki is now stuck with Nomu!Jeanist, the shadow of his former mentor, trying to stay alive while his emotions are already pretty fucked up, and he has to pretend everything about the situation is fine. Katsuki is left struggling to hold himself together under the weight of it all.
It's so hard to not break down seeing his former mentor like this and having to nod and smile and agree about the league being so great. During this trip, Jeanist is still kind/polite and his memories are still very faintly there, but he has a lot of big gaps, so he tends to ask questions to try to fill them. Like asking why Katsuki ended up becoming a villain and stuff like that.
Katsuki has to lie and create a fake but believable backstory, and in the process he ends up accidentally putting a lot of truth into it.
When he talks about how traumatizing the sports festival was, about how everyone's always seen him as a villain anyways, about all the negative media attention, the awful messages people send him on social media, how he hears people at school saying he can't be trusted, etc. All of it is true. The only lie is when he says that he gave in to all of it. And at some point he knows he's saying more then he should, but there's all this shit he's never talked to anyone about before. All his fears, pain, trauma, it all just has been sent bubbling to the surface by this fucked up situation.
But of course, it's so easy to talk to Jeanist about all of this because Jeanist isn't a person. He's a Nomu. Katsuki has to remind himself of that constantly. It makes it all feel not real. Like he can say anything and it won't matter, because Jeanist isn't a human anymore. On the flip side though, this Nomu!Jeanist looks and acts so much like the old one, that if Katsuki loses focus or when he's waking up from sleeping, it's so easy to imagine that it's his old mentor there. A few times, Katsuki almost tells him the hero name he chose, but he cuts himself off each time.
Refusing to until Jeanist is really back with him.
It doesn't help that throughout this Katsuki is plagued by nightmares. Or that he told Jeanist his name/alias was "Best Jeanist" so he can't even use a separate name for them to separate the person and the nomu in his mind.
The only separation left for him outside of looking at Jeanist is that Nomu!Jeanist only ever calls him 'Bakugou', and while human!jeanist would also call him 'Bakugou', he'd also taken to teasingly calling him 'Brat', and Nomu!Jeanist never does.
All in all, it's a fucked up situation for Katsuki, but somehow they make it through. They manage to avoid the league and get safely back to civilization. By this point, Katsuki isn't sure who he can trust, and he doesn't trust the league to have not paid off local police departments/heroes, so the two of them put on disguises and take a set of trains until they get all the way back to UA.
Let me tell you, Aizawa by this point has been having one of the worst weeks of his life.
His class was attacked again with several injuries. One of his students was kidnapped again, and this time they didn't have any leads. It's been a week and they have nothing to tell them where Katsuki is or if he's still alive. Worse, he now knows first hand just what the league can do to someone to force them to be on their side. He's pretty much assuming the worst about Katsuki at this point and it's killing him.
Then Katsuki just fucking shows up at UA after a week, having escaped entirely on his own, looking somewhat disheveled, with some weird cuffs on him and clearly having had a very bad week took, but pretty much healthy physically, and he's got the fucking Nomu of Best Jeanist following him.
Ideally, like, Denki or Mina or something is the one to actually spot Katsuki and they're so fucking psyched but then they notice the LARGE probably evil version of what looks like Best Jeanist behind him and they just have a moment of "what the FUCK." before Katsuki is able to indicate to them to go get Aizawa.
Aizawa's in a staff meeting, but they rush in like "Katsuki's back!" and he's not even sure he heard them right, and he can't believe his ears but he races out, and yep, Katsuki somehow found his way back but now he's just got a Nomu following him.
It takes a bit of passing notes and stuff, but Katsuki manages to relay what's going on and convince the teachers/other heroes to at least somewhat play along to keep Nomu!Jeanist under control non-violently. He gives them the hard drive, and they set to decoding it which is going to take time. In the meantime, Katsuki's now stuck basically playing handler for Nomu!Jeanist, getting him to cooperate and trying to see if they can get him back to normal.
It takes them a few weeks to get anywhere with the drive. Every single day Katsuki is working with Jeanist without making much progress and he's left feeling more and more hopeless as the days go by. It doesn't help that Katsuki is the only one Jeanist will listen to, which means everyone's relying on this poor fucking 16 year old to keep this possibly very dangerous creature under control, and Katsuki knows if he stops or fucks up, they might need to kill Nomu!Jeanist since he's nearly impossible to restrain.
Aizawa's super fucking torn because he's trying to be there for Katsuki and support him, and he understands that there's no way in hell that he can convince Katsuki to let Jeanist go when he's right there, not with how hard it is for him to let go of Kurogiri, but he can also see how it's driving Katsuki mad. And it's completely unfair to put a child through that, but at the same time there's no other options and Katsuki refuses to give up. He's come so fucking far, but it's building up, bit by bit.
It's all weighing on Katsuki, and dragging him towards an emotional breakdown he might not come back from this time, but he's made of more stubbornness then there is water in the ocean, so he just keeps slogging his way forward against all odds. Even as he's cracking under the pressure and pain of it all, he's fighting to hold on with tooth and nail because he refuses to fail now. And by some miracle, despite all the responsibility pushed onto his shoulders, Katsuki is not what breaks first.
They get the hard drive decrypted, and thank fucking god they do, because the answers are all on there. It takes a few days, and does require Eri's rewind, but they're able to bring Jeanist back with relative ease because he was a high functioning Nomu and he was a new one. The physical transformations are done within a day, and it takes two more for them to be confident that after his last treatment, his memories should be back and he should be completely free of the Nomu programing, with very minimal side effects expected.
That means Jeanist, who now remembers everything, both from his time as a Nomu and before it, wakes up for the very first time. He's greeted by Aziawa, who fills him in on everything that's happened since he was killed, and he gives Aizawa all the info on the LOV that his Nomu self didn't. That's the easy part. There's silence between them for a few moments before Jeanist finally manages to get out one word that's a question, a statement and a plea all in one.
"Katsuki?"
Aizawa gives a long suffered sigh and lets him know that Katsuki is okay physically and waiting to see him if he feels up to it. They just had to be sure that he was really himself again, since Aizawa refused to crush Katsuki with a false positive. Jeanist of course says he wants to see Katsuki as soon as possible, and after a few more checks from doctors to ensure there isn't any lingering traces of his Nomu self, Katsuki is allowed in with Aizawa escorting him.
When Katsuki comes in, very nervous and unsure after all this time, he pauses and there's quiet for a second before Jeanist breaks down and (very affectionately) calls him a brat which is how Katsuki knows for sure it's really him again.
He ends up getting hugged by Jeanist who absolutely does not want to let go of him after all of this shit that they've both been through. Katsuki is finally able to cry for the first time since this mess started, just full on sobbing because all of this has been crushing him and he's just so fucking happy that for once things kind of worked out.
And there's a whole lot of shit left to get worked out, but Katsuki has had a damn plan in his mind since he heard Jeanist's voice for the first time in the hideout, and he is going to see it the fuck through, so now that he has his mentor back properly he tells Jeanist the hero name he chose & at long last gets his approval. There's still a lot of shit to fix, but for right now that's more than enough for Katsuki.

Cryptic Red Eyes
Cryptic Red Eyes by Ai Akari
“A photoshoot with hero costumes?” Bakugou asks Jeanist, irritation in his voice. As he waits for a response, Bakugou remembers how many photographs for magazines and other things he did for him. Jeanist was one of his top partners. Plus, the man was like a mentor for him, so he would always accept the offer, even if at times his fashion ideas were fucking stupid.
“Not costumes, clothing, and yes. I need it as soon as possible.” Jeanist taps through the phone. He was serious about how fast he wants this and fuck if he wasn't going to blow this out of the park. He wasn't the best photographer in the city for nothing. Besides Deku, but he usually had other things he was working on, rather than photography. “I already sent you the wardrobe. It will be two parts, so expect another call for part two soon.”

In de /-63kg klopt 1ste-jaars junior Joanne Van Lieshout (°02; Ned; 3°EK’18 u18/-57kg), zowel Selina Delen (°98) als Alessia Corrao (°02; 1° EK’19 & 3° WK’19 u18/-63kg); dat laatste gebeurde in de kamp voor brons; Van Lieshout is ook huidig uittredend Nederlands kampioene /-63kg zowel u18 als u21; De 2 Japanse meiden in deze /-63kg zijn overigens de top-2 van de laatste Japanse kampioenschappen (2019) u21: ook hier nu won Asumi Ura (°00) van haar landgenote Hikaru Akashi (°99), in 1/2-fin; (ook hier een vergissing dus dat de 2 Japansen in dezelfde tabel-helft stonden...); tenslotte won Ura, die zaterdag ook al won, de Open finale tegen Jorien Visser (°99; Ned; als u18, drie EK/WK medailles);

Can you tell me more about Tsuganu's twin sister? And their parents? I wanna knowwww~ (specifically so I can finally match a name to the face and maybe write Tsuganu's sister and family in my stuff)
Ahhhh!!! Of course, thank you so much for asking about them!! You know how happy this makes me to be able to ramble about my characters!! Tsunagu’s family is one that I actually have some more set info on them because they were some of my first proper family ocs that I made.
I dunno whether you saw my post from earlier with all the family photos, but if not I do recommend doing so since they have their designs and everything!! They give a rough idea to what Tsunagu’s sister, mum, dad, niece +nephew look like!! And eventually I plan on making another one of those little character info posts for her like I did with Hana, Mao and Yuna. But for now imma ramble and give you some headcanons and basic info on his family! :)
His twin sister is called Ai!!(Which I’ve mentioned before in some of my writing)
She has twins! One daughter, one son!
They are quite the rich family and they do fancy things.
They come from a family that has roots to an ancestry of psychic based quirks? (A long long time ago) So like, manipulation, telekinesis, telepathy, etc. (This links into some stuff with their quirks and some other stuff, like if you remember one of my headcanons about jeanists gut feelings? Yeah, that was a while ago)
This is their dads side of the family, their dad has a manipulation based quirk which allows him to manipulation and control the things that he touches (not majorly, but enough to make quite a difference, and it undoes itself as soon as he lets go)
Their mum is quite the lovely gentle lady.
Her quirk allows her to create different fabrics from the fiber and sugars that she consumes (it works quite similarly to Momo’s quirk I guess?) however overusing this over the years has caused her to be physically quite fragile, weak and easily ill.
She is an absolute bundle of sunshine though! Unlike his dad, which may or may not be obvious in that drawing ahaha
Ai has a basic telekinesis quirk, just able to move rather small things normally, but in a stressful situation can move a lot heavier things.
Activating her quirk alongside Tsunagu’s could be absolutely catastrophic. But it’s also kinda funny. Watching as everything is flying everywhere and just chaos it’s great.
Ai’s husband works as a rescue hero? Like, he helps to find people who are stuck in rubble and stuff like that. His quirk is basically like echolocation, he can produce a sound and use it to pinpoint where objects are.
Ai works in support. She loves making things and just inventing little things in general.
Their mum used to (still sometimes does) work in fashion due to her quirk.
Their dad used to be a hero, but then an accident happened that caused him to lose his sight in one eye and he had to retire. But he did get (somehow?) roped into working with the police for quite a while and is now retired....and constantly grumpy.
The twin kids are meant to have streaky brown hair but I forgot to change it in my drawing so sorry bout that.
Ai is very cheeky and mischievous. She gets along very well with Hana in terms of teasing their brothers like crazy.
Goodness me. They all love Shinya. They know about his past as well, and this actually made Tsunagu’s dad tear up when he heard it. His mum had already been crying but they immediately accepted him as part of the family.
They’re always respectful towards his own respect to his family, though, and are quite overprotective of him to others.
The first conversation Tsunagu had with his mum after introducing him just went like:
“Hm, you are my son now. Tsunagu get out of here. I’ve replaced you, he is an angel!” “Wh- you’ve replaced me with my own boyfriend?” “Oh? Do you hear something? Nevermind, dear, let’s get you some tea.” “Mother!” *polite snickering*
Shinya finds it incredibly sweet.
Oh, by the way, ectoloadersnipe are family friends. They went to UA with Tsunagu’s cousin and were close friends so that’s how they know each other.
Ai is best mates with PL. Like, come on, they just spend the whole time tinkering while their husbands politely chat over tea!
The twins love “uncle Shinya” and the first time they called him this, both him and Tsunagu almost had a heart attack out of shock.
Some info that’s actually really important to know for some of my posts actually, which I think I’ve mentioned very briefly before (and will come up in ‘A Frayed Thread of Hope’👀):
Due to dormant psychic-based quirk genes that have been passed down over generations, they have this danger sense that is basically just an incredibly strong gut feeling when something bad is about to happen. This feeling gets worse as it gets closer to the time of said bad thing. However, if they manage to guess roughly what is going to happen (not in full detail, just like ‘oh something is gonna happen to so-and-so) it clicks and though the feeling doesn’t go away, it’s more like a confirmation of what’s going to happen.
Also, these things happen. It’s not some sort of gut feeling that may be right or wrong, they’ve never been wrong. That’s what the difference is. And that’s why they always have to follow it.
Another thing from these dormant quirk genes and them being twins in this case, is that Tsunagu and Ai have a connected sense of physical pain and a couple of other things of the sort. Not fully, but slightly, and they are aware of it. So when Tsunagu gets injured in work, Ai feels a much smaller version of this pain and it’s a very sure way of knowing if the other is in trouble.
Though, it is rather funny when Ai was pregnant, or when it’s that time of month...because wow Tsunagu is such a weak little noodle when it comes to handling those things and he wishes that Ai didn’t have to feel that much pain....in a slightly sympathetic but also definitely self-pitying way 😂
(There are a lot of funny opportunities here.....but also plenty of angst that may or may not be already planned out...)
And there we go!! Sorry it’s rambly but I also ran out of things to say for tonight...I know for a fact that I have plenty more, but they’re probably too specific and I’d have to actually have them pointed out first so I can remember them aha
@ohpleaseiwillendyou thank you so so much for asking! These are my characters who I have spent so much time on designing and coming up with, so when people ask about them it really makes me happy and brings me confidence about them :)

Hmmmm I was very bored, and feeling slightly under the weather, so I haven’t been able to draw anything today (yet???). Sooo I spent a lot of time just messing around on picrew.me and making some of my OCs for a bit of fun to cheer me up, it worked! @ohpleaseiwillendyou I initially wasn’t going to post these but you convinced me to actually post them so :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, just to clarify, these are not my drawings, I made them on picrew...Doing these made me happy because I could design them without trying to scrape up the few crumbs of motivation I have to draw them, and it also gave me more motivation to draw them myself so :)
(In order because they’re my ocs and it may be a lil confusing as to who some of them are + Edgejeanist lmao) so we have: Edgejeanist but probably just younger idk, Yuna!!! My unnamed oc that I rambled about a tiny bit last night, her wife, their son, Edgejeanist baby!! Jeans and the Edgejeanist baby!! Ai being the cute tired mother she is, and her twins!
Yay! I do have names for some of them now so that’s good! Wooh! I might actually draw something later 👀

For the OC headcanons, 7, 14, 15, and 27. You pick which ones would fit them! (but you don't have to do all of them)
Ooohhh thank you!
7. Wants to just lay down and not move.
me. Um. Probably a lot of them. After a hard day at work, Mao, Hana and Ai (and her husband) most definitely would after a busy day at work. Mao has had enough of the paperwork she has to fill in for her boss, Hana is just tired from patrol, Ai and her husband have to deal with their kids on top of work which I think is enough in itself...
14. Is painfully obvious on who they like.
Hana. Hana and Mao. Need I say anything else? It’s way too obvious that Shinya physically cannot stand it anymore-
15. Would get a tattoo on a whim.
Oh hmmm... Hana already has tattoos, same as Shinya’s, but I don’t think that she would get any others. Tbh I don’t think any of them would do this, but maybe Ai or Mao would get a few. Oh! Wait I do have an oc that would fit this but I have not introduced or drawn her yet so ahaha yeah...I might introduce her and her wife and son at some point 👀👀
27. Questions everything.
Aahhhhh!! Definitely Snipes daughter, my Edgejeanist baby oc (who I have now decided to make an official oc wooh!) and Yuna!! Especially when Yuna was younger and first adopted by EctoLoader, she would be very intrigued by the things around her, and not being able to see these things anymore she would be quite inquisitive with how things have changed and her own memory of them! Snipes daughter is a curious lil bean in general and loves to learn new things!! Same with the Edgejeanist baby!!!
Thank you thank you for sending this in!! It truly made me happy!!!

How things change when the time stands still.
Warnings: death, panic, bombs + explosions, angsty thoughts. Yeah, a lot of panic.
Tagging: @ohpleaseiwillendyou @kiriderp @kure-san and @theshisthings (hope you don’t mind me tagging you, I just thought you might like to see this!)
—————————————
Tick.
The world froze as Tsunagu looked out at Shinya with pain in his eyes. He knew what was going to happen, and he knew that the other would have to bear the pain of him leaving in the worst way possible. He felt bad, he really did.
Tick.
There was a time in his life where he wouldn’t care how his loved ones would be hurt by him leaving, or how much pain they’d be in for the rest of their lives....but this time, it was different. This time it wasn’t his choice. And this time....this time it was going to happen.
Tick.
I guess things did change...only, not always for the better.
Tick.
He felt his heart break as he saw the realisation slowly dawn on Shinya’s face as he clutched his mother’s scarf, eyes filled with fear and dread.
Tick.
‘I’m so sorry...Shinya, please forgive me...’ the fiber hero tried to silently tell the other, no words forming but tears threatening to fall.
Tick.
————————
Prior to this moment, Tsunagu had already had the feeling that something would happen. And that it would be himself who would have to take the hit.
Hearing the ticking inside the house, he reached out to grab Shinya’s hand, rubbing circles over the other man’s bruised knuckles.
Tick...tick...
Ignoring the fact that they were surrounded by many other heroes, who were all looking at the house in joint dismay after their failed attempt at a rescue mission, he brought their hands to his lips and kissed Shinya’s scars gently.
“What are you doing?” The silver haired hero quietly asked, squeezing the other’s hand in his own.
Silence. Nothing but the ticking noise could be heard as a response failed to emerge from the taller man.
Tick...tick...
“Hey...please...answer me, Tsunagu, what are you doing- what are you planning?” Shinya anxiously questioned, his voice becoming shaky and unstable from the thoughts that flooded his mind.
The blond man felt as if someone had taken a spear and sent it flying through his heart, shattering what was left of his confidence and breaking his strength into pieces, as he listened to the smaller mans panicked words.
Tick...tick...
Gazing down for one last time at his partner who was standing by his side, he let his hand slip out of the younger mans grasp and felt his body rush towards the deafening sound, just after telling Shinya the last words he’d ever hear from him.
“It’s going to be okay- it’s all going to be alright, okay? I love you, I love you so much- please don’t blame yourself for this-”
Shinya felt his body tremble at the words that his partner had just said to him. ‘No no no- god no please!’
He tried to call out but his voice didn’t make any sound. He tried to run towards him but his body wouldn’t move. All he could do...was watch.
‘Tsunagu!’
—————————
Tick.
Switching back to the present, Tsunagu felt his mind implode as he tried to focus on everyone’s faces and the people he loved all at once.
Tick.
‘Keigo...I’m so happy I got to see you grow. To see you all happy now and finally free from those who locked you away from the world....’ he gazed at the winged man. They had shared so many laughs and even through the toughest of times, he had always been there to lighten things up when they got too dark. ‘I’m sorry....I’m not going to be there for you. And you won’t even be able to sit through my endless puns anymore...well, I guess that’s not a bad thing...heh.’
Tick.
‘Rumi, there’s been so many times where I wish we could’ve gotten along better...but the times when we found something to laugh about? We couldn’t stop laughing to save the world! And there’s nothing I wouldn’t do just to laugh like that one more time...’ Tsunagu felt his eyes soften at the memories of those times. They never failed to find things that made them howl with laughter. And that had always been the strongest moments of their friendship. ‘I’m so sorry I can’t be here to laugh with you one last time...’
Tick.
‘Endeavour-san....I know we don’t exactly see eye to eye...and I know that we’ve had plenty of misunderstandings. But despite everything, you are a strong hero...and it’s been a pleasure to fight by your side whenever the time came.’
Tick!
‘Oh god, please-’ Tsunagu’s heart started to race even faster than it already was.
Tick!
‘Ecto, Higari-san...I’m sorry, I can’t keep my promise, you won’t get the chance to see me get married...but please know, that ever since that day, I’ve never been happier at the thought that I could someday be as happy as you two...and make you proud...I’m sorry...say goodbye to little Yuna for me...she’s a strong kid...a strong kid....’ Tsunagu felt tears start to drip down his cheeks. He’d been there to see the two of them get married all those years ago, and they had insisted that he promised to let them be there for his own wedding. They felt proud of how far he had come, and Tsunagu felt ashamed that he couldn’t even keep his promise.
Tick!
Married. They were going to get married. Him and Shinya were going to get married.
Tick!
They’d been planning it for months and had finally set a date. Only life always had a way of interrupting these things...as pro heroes.
Tick!
They didn’t mind though. They just had to stay alive for each other so that they might get to see that day...
Tick!
Stay alive...
Tick!
Stay alive...
Tick!
Stay alive!
Tick!
‘NO NO NO!!!’
Tick!
Tsunagu scrambled to gather his thoughts before it was too late, snapping his head around to face his partner, tears now streaming down his face as he struggled to breathe.
TICK!
‘Shinya...love, I...shit- I can’t breathe...please-’
TICK!
‘I have no time, I-’
TICK!
‘I love you...I love you so so much, I’m so sorry...’
TICK!
‘I’m sorry, I promised you so many things and I couldn’t even keep them...’
TICK!
‘I’m sorry, it all ended up how you feared- I’m sorry it couldn’t be different-’
TICK!
‘I tried so hard to help you move away from your past, but in the end I’m just bringing it straight back to you-’
TICK!
‘Please stay alive for me-’
TICK!
‘Stay strong for me-’
TICK!
‘I love you...I love-’
TICK!
‘Oh god-’
TICK!
‘No please-’
TICK!
‘I NEED MORE TIME-’
TICK!!
‘Ai- I’m sorry for the pain-‘
TICK!!
‘I’m so sorry for all the pain I’ve ever caused you...my recklessness-’
TICK!!!
‘You are the best sister anyone could ask for-’
TICK!!!
‘Mother-’
TICK!!!
‘Wait-’
TICK!!!
‘Shit!’
TICK!!!
‘Father, I’m-’
TICK!!!
‘I CAN’T- oh god, please please no-’
TICK!!!
‘MY FAMILY-’
TICK!!!
‘I NEED TO SEE THEM-’
TICK!!!
‘I LOVE-’
TICK!!!
‘I LOVE YOU-’
TICK!!!
‘PLEASE NO-’
TICK!!!
‘I NEED MORE TIME!’
TICK!!!
‘I need more time-’
TICK!!!
‘I need more...’
TICK!!!
Tsunagu felt his silent screams grow faint as he pulled what was left of his strength together to cover the house in anything he could to contain the blast. It was all he could do.
TICK!!!
His mind now stripped bare of any thoughts, the only thing that was left, was the image of the man that stood in front of him.
TICK!!!
Shinya.
TICK!!!
Standing there, his eyes streaming and his mouth open, imitating an empty scream.
TICK!!!
Clutching Tsunagu’s locket that he had slipped into his hand before he ran off.
TICK!!!
The locket that held Tsunagu’s own words, the words that only Shinya could read once the other was gone.
TICK!!!
The locket that he had slipped his engagement ring onto the chain so that Shinya could hold it close to himself once again.
TICK!!!
The locket that held their memories....their love....
TICK!!!
Tsunagu locked eyes with the other man and smiled.
TICK!!!
He was glad....glad that his dying moments, would allow him to gaze upon the person he loved the most.
TICK!!!
He was grateful, that he could smile at Shinya one last time.
TICK!!!
Closing his eyes, Tsunagu took a deep breath in and took a step backward, allowing the whole house to be engulfed in one massive explosion...
‘...time...’
BOOM!!!
—————————
Watching as the house went up in flames, Shinya felt himself start to fall to his knees. He felt the others around him start to rush about. Some running towards the house, some comforting each other, and some...some gently edging towards him, knowing how much pain he was in.
He could feel Hana’s hands try and steady him as she saw his stance falter.
He could hear the rage in Ryuko’s voice as she cursed the heavens for what fate they had given them.
To one side, he could see what was now left of the top 5, mostly frozen in shock. Keigo and Rumi turning to Shinya in realisation and rushing over to catch him...Endeavour was standing there....remorse in his eyes but clearly unable to process what had happened.
To the other side, he could feel the hurt in two particular teachers’ voices as they clutched onto each other in pain, in regret, their other hero colleagues joining them as they stood paralysed in horror. ‘His promise....I was going to be part of that promise....I was going to...’
There was no more ticking...there was only pain, and the ringing silence left from the absence of the other.
Looking down at the locket that he clutched tightly in his hand, he remembered the final words that Tsunagu said to him.
“-I love you...”
He never got to reply sooner.
He never got to move quicker.
He never got to tell him one last time.
Tears clouding his vision, he screamed out at the pain his heart was in, only no sound could be heard.
Reaching out, he whispered his reply.
“...I love you too...”
