THE SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT! We are hurdling towards December, the last month of 2022, and of course my Fabulous Five reads of the year. But I digress. Today in the Spotlight is Living While Black, a richly illustrated book celebrating the acts of resistance by Black people in various settings. Most of these situations will be familiar to readers as they were the subjects of mainstream headlines, although some will be new. I ✍🏾 This book is really going to look good in hardcover. I read an advanced ecopy, and while the miniature stories of resistance and the historical list of these living while Black events are nice, the stars of this book are the lovely illustrations that will make this a book to buy and then buy some more for your family and friends. Great idea. Thanks to Chronicle Books and Netgalley for a DRC. The book will be available 1122/22, that’s Tuesday! Although I’ve read it, I believe I’ll be adding the hardcover to my library. I’m heading over to @kindredstorieshtx to pick up my copy. #netgalley #chroniclebooks #livingwhileblack #ownvoicesreviews #bookpusher #pushingbooksainteasy #bookblogger #bookreview #bookreviewer #blackbibliophile #blackbooksmatter #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #readmorebooks #booksaremylife #readingismylife #goodblackreads #ajuanmance (at Houston, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClL9N7QLIKI/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
