The live action Aladdin was not that bad you guys are just mean

Yeah yeah I know it was a meme to clown on it but it was a good movie!!! Unlike a lot of live action Disney remakes it had its own charm that made it at least different from the original (though not better because you can’t beat the OG). Will Smith was a good genie and I’m glad he put his own spin on it instead of trying to copy Robin Williams. The music was actually really good especially Arabian Nights. Speechless could have been done better plot wise but overall it was a good song!! IT WASNT A BAD MOVIE!!!!

If I had one wish, I'd probably ask for sharper canines. I just think it would be nice if my smile was little more threatening.

Anyway, propaganda is always encouraged!

Soukoku arabian nights AU

so this is half an Arabian Nights au and half an Aladin au, so for ease of storytelling we'll go closer to Aladin, the cast is as such

Dazai, as jasmine

Chuuya, as Aladdin

Arahabaki, as the genie

Mori, as Jafar

Dazai's father, as sultan he'd be an OC anyway

Akutagawa/Atsushi as Dazai's attendants

Chuuya has been living on the streets stealing to eat for a while, he has the usual Aladdin style meet-cute with Dazai, and ends up keeping a bracelet so that Dazai continues to sneak out. Dazai is being falsely masquerade as the nation's princess, as he is built slight and small, more brains than brawn by far. Plot of alladin happens with a bit more Mori vs. Dazai type scheming. And we get some iconic scenes from the aladdin movie, and so on and so forth. Chuuya and Dazai are happy together by the end, even if requires Chuuya pretend to be Dazai's advisor, and the "princess" getting married off to another land, and a long lost prince of the nation taking over. Most importantly, I make Dazai the cross dresser in this and take that heat off Chuuya for like one fic.

I felt better last night and watched Aladdin 2019 and actually I have fun. I love music and costumes. Naomi Scott is so adorable and the way she dancing, just wow. Also her song at the end, so powerful and beautiful. Also about Marwan Kenzari, oh, damn he's handsome! I feel unhealthy hehe x3 Mena Massoud was really cute Aladdin. Genie was a show off at first but really funny. I love the moment when he saves Aladdin and at the end he said they're friends and that Aladdin breaking his heart. I'd say I liked it. Would they're make Return of Jafar so we're get more of Marwan Kenzari? Did anyone explain me why Jafar's voice get softer when he's talking to Al, "I can destroy you." moment? I'm interested. I think I gonna rewatch all animated Aladdin movies and the series. Also would love to write x reader fan fiction hehe but I'm still sick so. Gonna write soft Jafar lol x3

I may be a weirdo but I find Disney remakes with realistic animal characters more hilarious/fun when some percent of the cast are human/human-like. It's like fairy tale times --- but in the real world (but not)

Magic Carpet

Aladdin is my favourite Disney movie.

Carpet is my favourite character, but why?

He doesn’t speak. Realistically, you could have the movie without him. Plus, he’s only a minor role.

BUT! His personality is that of a rare gem!

He dances when Genie sings ‘Friend Like Me’. He applauds his friends work, being honest, not feeding Genie’s ego.

He’s so sweet and understanding. He’s just happy to be there, with or without adventure.

He cares deeply for his new found friends (Aladdin and Abu), helping them without them asking.

He’s fully aware of what and who he is, and doesn’t ask for a change, fully aware, if asked nicely, the master of Genie could request it for him.

Honestly, though he’s a minor role, he’s (in my opinion) the best character in the films.

Question I have about the Aladdin live action:

I get the need for drama but why didn't they just have Jasmine rub the lamp and fix everything? She had it for like a full ten minutes in her hand. She could wish all of the problems away, and then Alladin could free the Genie.
