My Dream, DREAM cast for ACOTAR. (Part 1.)
A little bit of clarification. I know in the book there are race equivalents to the real world (I think) , but this is just FACE and what I'd imagined each guy to look like becuzz.... well you'll see.
ALSO. I realise not all of these Men are the same person- but they're vibes are LEGIT who I imagined when reading.
FIRST UP, TAMLIN :
Tumblr media
(Malcom lindberg)
Tumblr media
(Tom Heukels)
Tumblr media
(I actually don't know the name of this guy- but if you do~)
TARQUIN💗 (I stopped searching for names unless the pinterest pic had it. I got sick of surfing through images btw) :
Tumblr media
(If they don't cast Mukasa kakonge I'm leaving.)
Tumblr media
(BITCH. THIS IS TARQUIN. THIS. IS. TARQUIN. STOP LYING. SOMEONE CONTACT S.J.M. THIS WHOLE CAST IS GOING TO BE MODELS. I'M TALKING TEEN WOLF LEVEL OF MODEL CASTING. NO JOKE. MUKASA KAKONGE.)
Tumblr media
( @w3tte, "A smile I could fall in love with!)
Tumblr media
(This, but with white braids. Like someone contact the casting director, because bitch I FOUND HIM.)
Tumblr media
(His hair is always tied up like this, and no one can convince me otherwise. The fan-arts did this to me.)
Helion (In my mind.. he's always looked like one of these two men. Def darker than the 2nd pic though. I always imagined him as Persian, or Arabian- maybe even Spanish or portuguese? I'm not sure if S.J.M did it strictly though.) :
Tumblr media
This. This is who he is.
Tumblr media
The jawline, the facial hair- the muscles.. spot on. I hope S.J.M really does deliver with that high lord inclusivity.
Tumblr media
I know Pedro probably, okay maybe def- wouldn't play Helion. But this is Helion incarnate. I can just see this Man propositioning for a three-way with Azriel, Cassian and Mor, bitch.
Thesan :
Tumblr media
(Does he even need introduction? Paing takhon. Thesan's always, always been Asian in my mind. I think it's canon AND accepted too so. )
Tumblr media
(At this point. I want him to be RHYS in my imaginary movie with my imaginary dream actoar cast just so he gets more screen time...*In my head)
Tumblr media
(uGH. I can't decide. Adarsh Jaikarran.)
Tumblr media
( Pratik Shetty. This in golden clothes.
LUCIEN (I'M GOING TO GET DEATH THREATS. YES, THEIR NATIVE AMERICAN. I KNOW, BUT YOU CANNOT TELL ME THAT THIS IS NOT THE FACE OF LUCIEN VANSERRA EVERYBODY- THE SMIRK, THE LIPS, THE EYES>... And would it be so bad to cast a Native american actor as Lucien? or even have Beron be Native American? I don't think it would be. ) :
Tumblr media
(Booboo stewart. He's the one I want, oh so badly. I can see this the first time him and Feyre go riding. )
Tumblr media
(I'll fight to the grave. Bitch. I will. "If I give you the moon on a string, will you give me a kiss too?")
Tumblr media
(This man. Snarling at Tamlin, leaving the doors wide open for Feyre to hear "For a guy with a heart of stone-", YES.)
Okay. So, Mr Stewart is perfect yes. But this is a dream cast, no? and who did I imagine the first time I picked up the book? Who's smirk was I talking about in the disclaimer? A name bitch. That name's Billy wirth.
Tumblr media
This. This was, and is, what I imagined Lucien vanserra to always, always be.
Tumblr media
Don't tell me you disagree.
Tumblr media
Imagine, the mask- the hair. Red and gold. The russet eye. If the Harry potter fan-casts could make Ben barnes, who's almost FIFTY into sirius black...Billy wirth is MY lucien.
Tumblr media
I'll be making a second post for who's next, bitches. Part 1.
Wait till I hunt down Azriel's fancast.

So... guess what i'm writing. Inspire me, queen
Queen, I am STILL thinking about your ask about Nesta Archeron’s off the charts Sirius Black energy!!
Like, can we just frame her as some kind of perfect amalgam of both the Black family tragedies? Noble and Ancient and not running from her legacy: using it to do exactly what she knows needs to be done, fuck what others think, she’ll have the last word even if her less informed sibling thinks she’d betrayed the righteousness.
BUT ALSO
As you said: “You should have died for your friends, the way we would have for you”.
Nesta Archeron is the ULTIMATE ride or die. The IC might have the exact, fool energy of the Marauders high on youth, but all those twisty, turny betrayals? Nesta, I think, CAN be subtle, but rarely gives a fuck about what other people think enough to do so?
It’s arch! It’s sexy! Glory and gore, perfect eyebrows that hate you and pearl earrings older than your grandparents grandparents kissing a proud arching throat!
If you’re still doing the human Cassian angle? pfft EVEN BETTER
Think of the longing! the contrast! smol and tol! I don’t know about inspiration, but just like, swing big for DEVASTATION, it will be magnificent!

yeet i'm following the trend and doing the character thing !! under the cut will be all of my character information and their standings on the gangs - it will also be a starter call as well, i'm going to keep them uncapped so go mf wild fam !! this is a plotting call as well, so pls like for me to slide into those dms to plot !! and for starters, please tell me who you'd like the starter for and who you'd like it from !!
Tumblr media
amilyn holdo // unaffiliated  ( 4 / ?? ) leia, laurie, jane, emma
amilyn has always believed in doing the right thing, so naturally, she became a politician - fighting to end the gang war between both families, but hasn’t been successful yet, but she’s continuing to try.
anakin skywalker // the hargreeves ( 4 / ?? ) leia, rose, matthew, magnus, anakin
anakin’s knowledge of the force made him the perfect person to interrogate others - he can get information from peoples minds, even if they don’t want to reveal it - and from time to time, when the occasion calls for it, he uses his lightsaber for added influence.
annie james // the hargreeves ( 3 / ?? ) hallie, ginny, thor
annie, alongside her sister hallie serve as a distraction for the hargreeves - the devil twins who really live up to their names, though annie is the calmer of the pair, she wouldn’t hesitate to join her sister when she likes to use explosives.
ben solo // unaffiliated ( 5 / ?? ) poe, desireye, leia, ariana, obi wan, anakin
being the son of the president meant that staying neutral would be the best thing for him, which he didn’t mind. though, he’s disappointed that his brother joined one of the gangs and has tried to get him to stop and come back home. ben usually works with his mother in the white house and on occasion spends his evenings with his girlfriend going dancing.
cassian andor // the death eaters ( 5 / ?? ) han, rose, carol, leia, jyn
cassian has done some things in his life he isn’t proud of for the rebellion, but being a smuggler isn’t as hard as he thought it would be - he usually just transports drugs and liquor from one place to the next so that the poilce don’t find them.
dimitry // the hargreeves ( 4 / ?? ) oswald, ginny, elizabeth, anya
dimitry has been a thief all his life and when he joined the hargreeves, that didn’t change. except now he isn’t stealing just to live, he’s stealing big-time things for the hargreeves now - guns, art, wine, you name it, he’s stolen it.
dorcas meadows // the death eaters ( 3 / ?? ) marlene, alecto, remus
dorcas was previously a dancer in one of the many speakeasies owned by the carrows, but after reuniting with her ex-girlfriend, alecto carrow - the two reunited and after the mysterious death of alecto’s husband, dorcas joined the higher ranks as her underboss, but on occasion, she still dances in the cubs.
ewan mckinnon // the hargreeves ( 4 / ?? ) marina, jemma, abi, marlene
ewan isn’t really too fond of the fighting, so he’s keeping out of it - being a bartender in one of the many speakeasies, the only real thing he needs to worry about is people getting too rowdy and having to throw them out. he does some deals on the side as well to earn some extra money.
hera syndulla // the hargreeves ( 5 / ?? ) breha, desireye, leia, ahsoka, jessica
hera has always been a pilot, who likes to go fast on occasion - so becoming a getaway driver was only second nature to her. a few jobs a week set her up for the entire month - whether it’s deliveries or robberies, she’s always there to help get the others away before they’re caught and they haven’t been caught yet.
jessika pava // the death eaters ( 5 / ?? ) han, desireye, breha, alastor, ahsoka
jess has always fought, and fighting here was no different than fighting back home - so she joined the death eaters, not only for protection but to help those who can’t protect themselves. she became a bodyguard for hire and hasn’t lost a client yet.
jeyne poole // the hargreeves ( 4 / ?? ) dany, mya, frank, chuck
jeyne joined the hargreeves for one thing, protection - fighting makes her uncomfortable and brings back horrible memories, so she stays far away from it - working as a waitress in a speakeasy, she tries to stay away from all conflict.
lando calrissian // unaffilated ( 4 / ?? ) leia, veronica, ahsoka, han
lando has always been a sweet talker, doesn’t matter who he interacts with - everyone loves him. almost everyone. that’s why being a politician was the best job for him, the business might be a little corrupt, but he doesn’t mind.
lucy weasley // the hargreeves ( 4 / ?? ) hugo, james sirius, hermione, roxanne
lucy had never really been one for fighting, but causing a distraction is something she’s excellent at. her signature is letting off a highly dense smoke bomb so that it blinds everyone else except for the gang members.
peggy carter // the death eaters ( 5 / ?? ) steve, jemma, mary, tasha, ellie
having been an agent prior to her life in washington, peggy thought it would be best to keep to what she knows best - so she spies on the hargreeves, wearing different disguises each time and passes on any valuable information she happens to hear or finds.
shara bey // the hargreeves  ( 2 / ?? ) bb-8, daenerys
shara has always been good with her hands, fixing things comes as second nature to her so becoming a mechanic when she joined the hargreeves was the best option for her - it kept her out of the fight, but still in the loop so she could help if need be.

Top “Ten” Books 2017
Tumblr media
So yesterday I completed my goodreads goal of reading 50 books during the year and I thought it would be a good idea for me to make a top “ten” books. Who knows? perhaps you’re thinking about picking one of these up but you are not so sure.
Oh and when I say “ten” what I mean is, some series or books by the same author will be put into the same slot… so they will clearly be more than “ten” books. You guys know I can never choose just one thing.
1. I’ll Give You The Sun - Jandy Nelson. #NoahAndJudeForever. Family is important but it’s more important that you find peace with the past.
2. The Sun Is Also A Star - Nicola Yoon. I invite you to believe there’s still good in the world, I invite you to believe in love, destiny and the universe. I am so grateful for this book, it reminded me of some parts of myself that I had lost during the past years, while also maintaining a good and critical commentary of today’s society.
3. Harry Potter - J.K.Rowling. This series proves, proves to everyone that “children books” does not mean that there is no depth or interesting political positions. J.K. Rowling, I am in awe of you! They are all exceptionally good and so entertaining (duh) but here is my current order:
Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince: GIVE.ME.ALL.THE.DRAMA.
Harry Potter and the Deahtly Hallows: Payoffs, so. many. payoffs!
Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone: This is not a happy book, my boy Harry has been abused over and over, but his heart of gold pushes through.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Sirius my sweet!
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Cedric Diggory is a victim of “wrong place wrong time”.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: Sirius’s death is worse than in the movie! But also.. Luna Lovegood is the one true queen.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: THE WEASLEYS ARE EVERYTHING!
4. The Sarah J. Mass books: I loved them all and I will forever praise her writing and defend this books as more than “hot fae meets feisty heroine”.
Tower of Dawn: I was not a huge Chaol fan, but his arc overall the series is one of the most realistic out there, making him a coherent character and a very believable person. This book is basically what happens when you say “Chaol deserved better”, well let me tell you he got “better”! Making a great effort to include more representation the most natural way possible (as it should be) this book is as good, as its predecesor expanding the world and deepening the story. #NestaqMyLoves #YreneTowersIsLife.
A Court of Wings and Ruin: Feyre Darling, you are my number one girl. I loved this book and I thought it was really really good. It had it’s flaws (as do all books), and at certain points I wished for other outcomes. Nonetheless it works as an amazing bridge between old plotlines and new ones. I get the feeling that this book sets the ground for coming payoffs. Female at positions of power, NUANCED characters with bad moments as well as good ones, and a great political position (if you missed Rhy’s immigrant statement or Cassian’s rape analogy then I urge you to read it again). ACOWAR is more than people give it credit for and it’s a good political statement on many things… but it did screwed over Mor -although I feel this will payoff at the end and she will be very happy-.
Empire of Storms: I am still recovering.. (if you have nothing else to do and want to see the process of how my heart shattered then you can read my reaction thread here)
5. Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte. Here comes Jane redefining what badass means since the 19th century. This books has everything you need! I mean, it’s classic for a reason. But the language! The use of the language is so well executed that it reads like a novel that has 20 years tops. Bronte is a genius. How she managed to do that, I will never know. She had her way with words.
6. All The Light We Cannot See - Anthony Doerr. Being a book about WWII, I knew it was going to hurt, but oh what a thrilling ride this was! The structure of the narrative, the characters, the story: everything was on point!. #WorstPlotTwistOfTheYear
Tumblr media
7. Leigh Bardugo: Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom. THESE BOOKS! I URGE YOU I URGE YOU TO READ THEM! This duology brings some of the best characters literature in general – not just Y.A– has seen. I think this is a perfect example of good representation. The only thing missing was a Latino-Latina character, but I still feel this was a diverse cast and I could find myself in different traits of each character. I love this books more than words could express and I hope and wish that Leigh will continue to spend time in this world with them. I just want more of The Dregs.
8. A Darker Shade of Magic - V. E. Schwab. Now this is a world I am excited to be a part of! You know when you read a book and you feel that you’re scratching just the surface, the tip of the iceberg? well this was that book for me. As its own I’m sure this novel stands on it’s own and you could read it and leave it at that, but I you just know there is more and more. This is the perfect example of a literary synecdoche, in which a part represents to the whole, but it still a part. Meaning that it can be on it’s own or it can be a part of the bigger narrative. I am eagerly waiting for the second installment to arrive (to my house).
9. Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions- BY MY LOVE Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. “Your feminist premise should be: I matter. I matter equally. Not “if only.” Not “as long as.” I matter equally. Full stop.”. If you have trouble understanding feminism please read this, along with her “we should all be feminist TED talk”. If you like to know more about this ideology and how it applies to society nowadays then read it. Chimamanda is one of the greatest voices to explain what it is all about and how we can contribute towards an egalitarian society, Besides is like 100 pages long… so there’s no excuse.
10. Strange The Dreamer - Laini Taylor. Basically it’s Atlantis more developed. I loved Lazlo and I loved Sarai. This is a story unlike any other, in which words come to live and you feel the characters within you.
Honorary mentions:
11. Rupi Kaur: Milk and Honey and The Sun and Her Flowers. She articulated my thoughts and gave them life. More than considering it poetry, although some of her texts are beautiful poems, I think of them more of aphorisms or thoughts. It helps when you can see your pain voiced by other, it helps you realize things and then it helps you move forward.
12. Atonement - Ian McEwan. GOD BRIONY! I loved this book and I owe it a lot since my dissertation worked because of it. McEwan is great when exploring characters and in going against the common idea that children are nothing if not innocent. Every action has it’s consequence and we should always keep this in mind. #RobbieDeservedBetter #CeciliaTallisQueenOfMyHeart.

Rules: Tell us your favorite character(s) from ten different fandoms and then tag 10 people
Tagged by nobody I just need something good in my life!!!
The struggle for ten entire fandoms is real.

Congratulations, LEO! You’ve been accepted for the role of CASSIUS. Admin Kass: leo! words cannot describe how excited we are to have our cassius. the way you portrayed him was so raw, you really portrayed every aspect of his personality beautifully. he’s a difficult character to get, so multi-faceted, forged by a life he had little control in, desperate for control now, so dry and cold to so many, so desperate for power. you truly and completely understood him, i loved every second of your app, and i can’t wait to plot with you! Please read over the checklist and send in your blog within 24 hours.

In Character
Character | Cassius; Cassian Bhatt
What drew you to this character? | I read Julius Caesar when I was a freshman in high school, and Cassius has stayed with me ever since. How can someone be so consumed by jealousy? How can someone know exactly the right words to say to sway a man into betraying a beloved friend? And to what extent is Cassius’s hatred of tyrants real? I’ve always thought that in many ways, Cassius is motivated by conviction just as much as he is by his lust for power. Maybe his need to be in control is a side-effect of his will to impose his vision over Rome (and now, Italy).
What is a future plot idea you have in mind for the character? |
ONE. He has forgotten himself more than once. It began when he was twenty-one. Entranced by the promise of a new world he could mold in his image, and fresh out of the University of Bologna, he followed the young son of a member of the regional council past Castelvecchio Bridge. The night was intoxicating, and he was drunk on the promise of his own power. So when the politician’s son offered to slip something in their pilfered wine, Cassian didn’t hesitate, and the river, the stars, and moon blurred until all was sugar-spun.
Later, he blamed the weakness on his father – an inheritance he never asked for. Even then, Cassian knew the rumors – the uncles who vacationed in Mykonos and returned pale and shaking, their hands forever reaching for shadows, his grandfather’s long trips to France and the “fits” of his young adulthood. Of course, he could never fully allow himself to continue the tradition. And so it ended that same year. Years later, a swallow carried a long-forgotten picture to The Dark Lady.
Cassian knows her as Queen Mab, collector of dreams and spinner of lies, but his new job has taught him that anyone can die. And Cassian knows one thing: he’ll be the one to do it. One day, she’ll watch her sparrows burn. Reckoning will come to all those who dared trade in his secrets, and Mona will be its epicenter. Amidst the chaos, the pieces are beginning to fall into place.
TWO. Beneath the jokes over cocktails and the cutting comments about austerity and Matteo Salvini, there is little more Cassian loves than Italy. As the son of Renata Bhatt and Luciano Esposito, two well-known patrons lovers of the arts, Cassian’s childhood was filled with Puccini, with Pico della Mirandola and Gentileschi. It’s no wonder he’s fooled himself into crafting the image of the perfect, concerned citizen. Even with his work for the Capulets, he’s never thought of himself as anything other than a firebrand liberal – a proponent of democracy at all costs.
And, despite his fascination with his own ability to wield words, has it not all been for a just cause? His campaign to save his mother, the whispers he clings to of contacts in South Africa, and his frenzied thoughts of expanding and using the Capulets’ network to the rest of Southern Africa, governments and armed groups alike, of tearing down the ANC  – yes, so what if blood is spilled? Is it not for a greater good? One could say that Cassian loves Italy, or even the world – that he’s egalitarian, and that he loves freedom. To some extent, it’s even true. After all, to love something is to possess it.
THREE. Lust is a strange shape that Cassian has never managed to glimpse. It suits him well. He has no need for uncontrollable fancies, so he built himself something sustainable: a history of brief, proper relationships with a few girls in college and his bar association, and a picture-perfect relationship with Lillian Wen. He’d be hard pressed to find a better partner. With his mother’s haughty demeanor and his father’s angular features, Cassian knows that he’s unapproachable, that he’s not quite as established as someone who was born into a life of wealth. But with someone like Lillian on his arm, he’s found that attorneys and executives who’d once shied from him now welcomed him with open arms. A man in love is always considered less dangerous than someone unattached.
There’s also the matter of his ambition. As a promising district attorney, there are few places he can’t go. But then his mother approached him with an offer, silencing his protests with a question that made him shiver. Are there many successful politicians without an opposite sex spouse? Already, she said, there were rumors that Cassian’s stances on gay marriage extended to his personal life. It was the sort of thing, she said, that ricocheted through entire governmental branches as a bargaining chip. With the matter so framed, it was impossible to say no. Besides, it is not as if Cassian has ever been attracted to members of any sex – so what does it matter?
Still, sometimes he wonders if his mission to push Lillian – if only to see how far she’ll go – is born from curiosity or from resentment.
Are you comfortable with killing off your character? | Yes! I’d be interested exploring how any version of Cassius deals with death.
In Depth
Para: “Leave Verona?” Cassian doesn’t exactly freeze, but he frowns. By the time he catches his slip of expression, it’s too late; he can tell that Professor Moretti has spotted his displeasure. Of course, it’s irrational to feel such an attachment to one’s hometown. Nostalgia has never done anything but dull the senses. But something about that shithole – its cesspool of invisible wars, the scent of blood that sometimes rises from the cobblestones after it rains, the lazy yellow moon over the murky water – a man can hardly be a man without his shadow. “Will you reconsider?”
It’s not like he’s asking for too much. Moretti’s lips have thinned into a line of worry. And it’s true, the local press is inundated with reports of gang violence. But he’d planned for this in asking the university’s biggest pacifist to write his letter of recommendation. Cassian only needs to be patient. But God, these professors are made of nothing but cobwebs and soft spines. He counts to five, pauses, then softens his tone. He’s the top student of Bologna, after all, and there is little that he ought to be denied. “I understand your concern, Sir, and I know that there are many more opportunities awaiting me in Rome.”
Here, he widened his eyes and lowers his voice. There – that will do it. Old man Moretti has always had a weak spot for earnest do-gooders, and Cassian has long-since learned to remake himself in a kaleidoscope of ever-changing images. “But I can’t abandon my hometown. My mom is there and so is my dad.” Cassian looks down, as if it’s hard to meet Moretti’s eyes. He twists his hands till his knuckles turn white. “I want to be there for them when they grow old. And it’s like you said in your first lecture. What good’s a law degree if I can’t make a difference where it matters?”
There – he had him. Even with his eyes trained on the falling dust, Cassian can sense a change in the air. Finally, he meets the old professor’s eyes. They are blue-grey, he notices, blurred by years of reading and writing. He decides that Moretti is admirable, in his own way. “Besides, what danger would I in, as a clerk?”
