One of the commissions I'm doing for @randomfandomfan ft Hurt/Comfort Adrinino. Find it on my AO3 here.
Set post Rocketear and pre any kind of romantic relationship (tho it's hinted at). This was already a fic I wanted to write, and one of the prompts they sent me fit the concept almost perfectly, so I ran with it.
Under a cut for length.
~~
“It’s your fault.”
Nino jumped about a foot in the air, whirling from where he’d been shutting his door with his phone pointed menacingly at the source of the voice. His backpack smacked him in the hip, knocking him off kilter, and he stumbled, bracing himself on the doorknob. His eyes scanned the room slowly, shoulders easing when he didn’t spot anyone. “Hello?”
“What are you, dense, kid?” scoffed the voice again, from right in front of him, and Nino squeaked at an embarrassing pitch when he registered the Kwami floating there.
The Kwami.
The Kwami.
A black cat Kwami.
Nino dropped his defensive (if somewhat undignified) stance, staring at what was definitely Chat Noir’s Kwami. “Um. You’re not supposed to be here.”
The cat’s eerily green eyes rolled. “Wow. Intelligent.”
Nino spluttered, feeling awkward. “W-Well I’m sorry, dude, how do you expect me to react!” he demanded, throwing his hands up in the air. Something like ice settled in his gut as the Kwami’s existence finally clicked. “W-Wait, why are you here? What happened?”
“You happened,” the Kwami snapped, and uh. Okay. Not what Nino wanted to hear right now.
“What?”
“YOU. Do you have any idea how much you upset him? How much you hurt him the other day? He won’t say it, Nino, but he’s hurting. He’s been hurting, and you unloaded on him and beat him and told him how awful he was and if you weren’t his best friend and I didn’t think you were the only one who could help right now, you’d be in a pile of rubble.”
Um.
Holy shit.
Nino had never heard a Kwami so pissed. Wayzz could get a little condescending sometimes, and Ladybug had admitted that her Kwami could be a little snarky (as could Trixx, as Alya had confirmed time and time again). But never had he seen a Kwami literally shaking in rage.
He’d be more terrified if the cat’s words weren’t sinking in.
“Hang on, hang on, dude,” Nino said, crossing his arms in an “x” through the air. “Is this about Rocketear? I apologized, I-I thought me and Chat were okay. Also like, I respect the guy, but he has no idea who I am, dude, we’re not best friends.”
“Had,” the cat spit out. “He had no idea who you were.”
Nino’s stomach swooped out from under him and he gripped his desk chair tightly to keep from tripping. “What?”
The Kwami gave him a smug, if not irritated, smile. “You told him yourself.”
“D-During…when I was fighting him?” Nino squeaked. “N-No, I saw the footage, I didn’t tell him I’m Carapace!”
The cat softened. “Before, Nino. Before you were akumatized.”
“I didn’t-”
“Of course, when Ladybug appears, he throws himself to her feet with roses and love confessions!”
Fuck.
“But he is always rejected, because Ladybug thinks that he’s annoying. And she is COMPLETELY right!”
Oh, fuck.
“I know because I’m also a superhero. I’m Carapace.”
“Shit.”
Nino fumbled for his desk chair, sinking into it hard and banging his elbow on the back. The pain was almost numbing. He put his head in his hand, pushing his hat back off his head and staring blankly at the wall.
“Oh my god, dude, I-?”
“Yeah.”
The Kwami sounded almost sad this time, and that, somehow, was worse than him threatening to kill Nino.
He didn’t really remember being akumatized, until the end, when Alya broke him from Shadowmoth’s hold. And despite warnings from his friends, he’d watched the footage from his akumatization. Even without Alya recording, someone usually was, and the footage was always online by the end of the day.
He knew what he’d done to Chat Noir.
He’d seen the way he dropped his baton, a sign of surrender. The way Rocketear hadn’t hesitated to push him back with everything he had, pounding him again and again and again into that van, how he’d grabbed him by the head and slammed him backwards like-
“Nino!”
The Kwami’s paw was gentle on his wrist and Nino shuddered, scrubbing at his eyes furiously and dislodging his glasses. “Oh my god, oh my god, where is he?” he choked out. “I-I need to find him right now, Kwami dude, I-I can’t believe I-”
“Plagg,” the Kwami offered, his scratchy voice easing Nino from his panic. “And it wasn’t you, kid.”
“B-But it was, that’s the worst part,” Nino whispered, standing and pacing now. “I hated him, I hated him so much I – oh my god, he tried to tell me.” He laughed, bitter, holding his hands together behind his head. “He tried to tell me Alya and Chat didn’t have a thing and I-”
“Nino,” Plagg interrupted. “He’s on the roof.”
Nino stopped, blinked at him. “He’s what.”
Plagg nodded upwards, his antenna bobbing. “On the roof. Been there every night for the last week.” His voice lowered. “He wanted to talk to you, but he’s too scared.”
“He’s on the…he’s on my roof?”
Nino scrambled around his room, grabbing a jacket and an extra hoodie before reaching out, snatching Plagg, and shoving him into his hat. He froze a millisecond later. “Um. Please don’t cataclysm me for that, dude.”
Plagg’s chuckle was more like a purr. “Please. As if I’d need to use all that on just you.”
Nino supposed he should be insulted, but with everything he now knew, he couldn’t find it in himself to care. It was nearly one am – he’d been out late studying with Alya – so now he crept from his room and to the front door, hopeful not to wake his family. Grabbed his key off the hook by the entrance, and then eased the apartment door shut behind him.
It was only one flight up to the roof access, usually locked, but Nino had come up here with Alya more times than he could count, so he knew that if you wiggled the lock just right, it would come undone on it’s own. They’d oiled the hinges ages ago so that it didn’t scream every time it was opened, and now it was silent as Nino pushed it up and stared over the flat top.
Adrien was silhouetted in the moonlight, precariously close to the edge, and it made Nino’s breath hitch. He pushed the door all the way open and clambered up onto the roof as quietly as possible, easing the hatch shut again before turning back to his best friend and slumping.
Best friend.
God, how could he have-?
“You didn’t know,” Plagg whispered, gentler than Nino had expected him to be. The Kwami zipped from his hat, hovering in the air next to him, and he offered Nino a grim smile. “I might hate you a little right now for what you did to him, but you didn’t know, kid.”
Nino let out a shaky breath and started the trek over to his friend, fiddling with his extra sweatshirt. The night air was chill, and he was glad he’d brought it – Adrien was in nothing but short sleeves.
“All week, huh?” he murmured, watching as Adrien jumped a little, fingers tightening on the edge of the roof. “Could’ve just called, dude.”
Adrien twisted, lips parting. “How did you know I was-?”
His eyes landed on Plagg and a squeak slipped from his mouth as his hand shot to his shirt pocket. It wouldn’t have been funny if he hadn’t gone so pale.
So Plagg hadn’t told him he was telling Nino. Interesting.
“Y-You can’t-! You told-?”
“You’ve been here all week, Adrien,” Plagg snapped. “You weren’t gonna tell him, I was. You need a cheese in your corner.”
Nino had no idea what that meant, but he couldn’t stop staring long enough to care.
Adrien’s eyes were tired. There was no glint in them. The circles under his eyes were deep – he must’ve been wearing makeup to school, because Nino hadn’t seen them until now. His hands were trembling, his lips were bitten raw, and Nino felt his entire heart shatter.
“I am…so sorry,” he choked out, tears spilling over. Adrien jolted, turning his gaze from Plagg to him.
“Nino-”
“No, dude, no, I-I-I…I don’t care that I didn’t know. I should never have said those things, I should never have hurt you like that, oh my god dude, I hurt you so bad, I like could have killed you, a-a-and…”
He froze, reeling, and stumbled back. Adrien got to his feet warily, holding his hands up. “Nino?”
“You were gonna let me.”
He wanted it disproved, but Adrien’s flinch told him everything. His chest seized and Nino choked on his breath. “You were gonna let me, you would’ve fucking let me, you fucking asshole how could you? Do you have any fucking idea how much I care about you dude?”
He shoved Adrien without thinking, hands firm against his shoulders, pushing him back and away from the edge. Adrien’s eyes were wide, lip trembling, and Nino pushed him again, closer to the center of the roof, this time forcing the sweatshirt into his grasp. Adrien clung to it, lips parted, and Nino dragged his hands through his hair, pacing as Adrien shrugged the sweatshirt on. He’d left his hat downstairs, he registered somewhere in the back of his mind.
“Oh my god,” he choked out. “I-I…I’m so sorry dude. I’m so sorry, your dad, and then school, and modelling and your stupid model diet and then you’re a literal superhero and I’m supposed to be your best friend and I didn’t even…”
“You weren’t saying them about me,” Adrien whispered. “I know that.”
Nino spun to face him, vision blurry. “If you knew that you wouldn’t have been on my roof every night for the last week working up the nerve to talk to me. If you knew that you wouldn’t have thrown down your weapon and let me beat you to-”
He cut himself off with choked cry and he rushed at Adrien, clinging to him with a force he didn’t know he possessed. He cradled his friend’s head gently, heart sinking for a moment until he felt Adrien’s hands lift to settle tentatively on his back.
“I don’t hate you,” he whispered into Adrien’s ear. Nino swallowed, throat aching. “I don’t hate you, and I don’t hate Chat Noir. I was mad. A-And that’s not an excuse for what I said, and I’m so sorry. I’ve never hated Chat Noir, dude. He was always my favorite. I just…”
“You were upset,” Adrien finished, soft.
“Jumped to conclusions,” Nino corrected. “I was jealous of Alya keeping stuff from me, and I jumped to conclusions, and I hurt you, shit I-I hurt you, I-”
“I’m okay, Nino. It’s okay.”
“It’s not okay,” Nino croaked, tightening his grip. Something in him breathed easier when Adrien tightened his own back, harder, his shoulders starting to shake. “It’s not okay, I love you, dude. Don’t do that for me. Don’t ever stop fighting back when it’s your life at stake, I-I can’t…”
Adrien’s grip clenched in his hoodie and suddenly Nino’s neck was wet with tears. Nino carded his fingers through Adrien’s hair, turning his head just slightly to press his lips against his temple. “Talk to me, dude,” he whispered. “I’m here now, you don’t have to do this alone. Not anymore.”
“You can’t tell, Nino,” Adrien croaked. “I mean it, not even Alya. Y-You can’t. Promise me.”
“Hey.”
He pushed Adrien back, gentle, and cupped his cheeks, swiping away the tears on his skin. “I promise,” he said firmly, staring Adrien in the eyes to show he meant it. “This is too big to tell, dude.”
“You told me-”
“I trusted you,” Nino said, squeezing Adrien’s shoulders. “I was pissed, and I knew I trusted you more than anyone, and I knew you wouldn’t say anything. A-And I was wrong, dude. I shouldn’t have told Alya’s identity. Mine is one thing, but that wasn’t okay. But man, dude, you have it rough as it is, without anyone knowing you’re a superhero. I’m not telling, dude.”
Adrien swallowed, throat bobbing, and glanced behind Nino, where he presumed Plagg was floating. Plagg must have indicated something, because he slumped and gave a weak smile. “Thank you, Nino.”
Nino shook his head. “Don’t thank me. D-Don’t…not after that.”
Adrien’s hands were on his cheeks now, fingers freezing. “Hey. It wasn’t you. You might’ve been mad, but it wasn’t you. It was Shadowmoth amplifying those emotions, and you beat him. You beat him, Nino. I’m…so proud of you for that,” he whispered, voice cracking.
Nino pulled him in again, arms clinging to his back and his nose pressed into the hood of Adrien’s borrowed sweatshirt. “I’m proud of you too, dude,” he said. He felt Adrien’s grip tighten on his back. “No one ever says it. I’m proud of you. And I’m-”
“If you say sorry one more time,” Adrien croaked, laughter behind his tears, “I will personally dangle you off the Eiffel Tower by your shield.”
Nino chuckled and stepped back, tugging Adrien’s wrists gently. “Come inside,” he pleaded. “It’s cold out.”
Adrien glanced behind his shoulder, teeth worrying at his lip. “I should get home,” he said. “It’s late.”
“Then they won’t notice,” Nino said, pulling him a step further. “C’mon, dude. You’ve been by yourself for so long. I wanna hear about being Chat Noir.”
Adrien looked back to him, lips parted. The glint in his eyes was illuminated by the surrounding buildings, and something in Nino’s stomach twisted in a way he wasn’t going to question at the moment. “Really?”
“You kidding? Of course, dude.”
Adrien’s mouth slid into a tiny smile now, head tilting in that puppy-dog way only he could pull off. “Yeah. Y-Yeah, I’d like that. If you’re sure it’s-”
Nino knelt down and lifted the roof access cover, climbing onto the ladder and looking back up at Adrien with what he hoped was an inviting grin. “Dude. Just get inside already.”
Sneaking back in was harder than sneaking out, only because now he had another person in tow, but they managed to get back into his room without waking anyone (even after their quick excursion to the kitchen for a block of sharp cheddar, because Plagg was whiny). Nino shut off all the lights in his room except his desk lamp, leaving the soft glow to illuminate the corner and moving to his bed.
Adrien hesitated at the foot of it, fiddling with the sweatshirt strings on Nino’s hoodie (and Nino was ignoring how much he liked that image, that was something he could confront in the morning). “Um.”
Nino rolled his eyes and held out an arm. “Come cuddle, bro. And tell me about being the hottest bachelor in Paris.”
That got a snort from his friend, and Adrien crawled into the bed next to him, flopping against Nino’s side and leaning his head against his shoulder as Nino tucked an arm around him. “I thought I was the hottest bachelor in Paris.”
“Oh my god, you and your alter ego literally are competing for the same spot, that’s so fucking funny,” Nino cackled, keeping his voice low so he didn’t wake Chris next door.
Adrien chuckled and then fell quiet, and Nino traced a circle on his arm, feeling the mood shift. “Wanna talk about what’s been going on with you and Ladybug?”
“How did you-?”
“It’s pretty obvious when you’re working directly next to the two of you. And especially now that I know it’s my best bro behind the mask? What’s up?”
Adrien went still again, and then rolled over, pressing his face into Nino’s shoulder. “Can we talk about that tomorrow?” he mumbled. “I’d rather just…hang out, for now.”
Nino tightened his grip, focused on the ceiling, and tried to quell the racing thoughts in his mind. “Of course, dude. Of course.”
Adrien’s breathing evened out, and Nino had a feeling he probably wasn’t heading home anytime soon. He didn’t care, just shifted to put his phone and glasses on his nightstand and then rolled over to hold his friend closer, smiling thinly when he instantly clung back.
Plagg was curled up on the pillow above Adrien’s head, and his cat eyes blinked sleepily as he studied Nino. “Thanks, kid.”
Nino loosened a hand and reached up, scratching the cat on the head, fully prepared to lose a finger. To his surprise, Plagg just purred and nudged up into the touch. “Thanks for breaking the rules for him,” he whispered back. “I’m sorry I put both of you through that.”
“You’re a good kid, Nino,” Plagg said, yawning and curling his tail around himself. “Stupid, but good. Wayzz likes you for a reason.”
The Kwami went quiet and started snoring, leaving Nino to flush at the compliment, run his fingers through Adrien’s hair, and fall asleep with a sense of calm he hadn’t felt in a long, long time.

Tumblr media
To be in a band meant that your bandmates were your most intimate friends. Hours, days, weeks spent cramped together in small confined spaces meant that everyone saw each other at their best, worst, and everything in between. Platonic physical affection wasn’t an unusual occurrence and neither was sharing beds so that the fewest number of hotel rooms could be reserved to save money, curling up under a blanket together while watching a movie on the bus, not to mention all the on-stage antics, it was all taken in stride.
It also helped that everyone looked out for each other, but it seemed as if Frank looked out for you more than the others. When things became hectic, or when you were suffering from one of your migraines, he’d always be the one checking up on you to make sure you were okay. Spending hours up late at night talking with him was one of your favorite ways to pass time on the bus. You’d developed quite the soft spot for the chaotic guitarist.
The band had been touring what felt like non-stop for ages, but especially now that Three Cheers was out. It had been a very long, hot summer full of meeting fans, rocking out, and if you were being honest with yourself, way too much partying on everyone’s part. You were feeling pretty burnt out, but the success of the band made it worth it.
Now it was the last week of Warped Tour 2004 and you could tell summer was ending by how quickly the nights were cooling down. As usual when the tour was stopped over for a couple nights, both a bonfire, and most of the bands, were lit. You were standing as close to the fire as you could without melting the rubber on your chucks trying to keep warm.
“Hey,” Frank said, walking over to stand next to you.
“Hey, how’s it goin?” You asked
“Good. Cold?”
“Yea,” you rolled your eyes. “I decided to dress cute, and now I’m freezing my ass off.”
“Who were you dressing up for?” Frank asked, unzipping his hoodie.
“No one really,” you replied, watching as he took off the sweatshirt. “What are you doing?”
“Keeping you warm,” he replied.
“You don’t have to,” you started as he put it over your shoulders.
“Too late,” he replied with a smirk that faded into a soft smile.
You looked up at him, in the dim light of the bonfire and you felt your heart skip, like a switch had been flipped. That soft spot you held in your heart for him suddenly felt overwhelmed, like the quiet feelings were now screaming in your ears.
“I bet it’s warmer on the bus,” you suggested, deciding to lean into the moment. You just hoped you were gauging the situation correctly.
His eyebrows went up in surprise, but he nodded. “I bet you’re right, wanna go back?”
“Yea.”
The walk across the parking lot was silent, as your hands brushed against each other’s, shoulders bumping occasionally. Climbing into the bus, you wandered to the back and confirmed no one else was around, and when you turned back to Frank he seemed a little nervous.
“Ya know you do look really cute. Like not just tonight, like all the time,” he said.
“Thanks,” you replied, tucking your hair behind your ear nervously. You were in your 20s, why were you suddenly feeling like a middle schooler talking to their crush?
“Wanna watch a movie or something?” He offered after an awkward silence hung between you.
“Sure. Nothing scary though, I’m tired of horror.”
“How can you be tired of horror?” Frank asked with feigned shock.
“Because that’s all we watch and we’ve watched almost every movie we have 100 times over.”
Frank started flipping through the stack of DVDs that the band had accumulated through countless tours. “What about ‘10 Things I Hate About You’?” he asked.
“Yes,” you nodded eagerly, plopping down on the couch and pulling off your shoes.
Frank put the movie in the DVD player and turned off the lights, sitting next to you. You glanced over, trying to gauge what he was thinking. He glanced back and you snapped your eyes back to the tv. As the movie progressed, Frank casually put his arm over the back of the couch and you settled into his side.
“I wanna go play paintball, like real paintball, some time,” you said, watching Kat and Patrick’s date on the screen.
“We should go then,” Frank replied.
“Just us? Or,” you trailed off.
“Yea, I mean unless you wanna invite other people.”
You looked up at him, and he was looking back down at you. "No, just us," you said softly.
"Cool," he said with a goofy smile.
You had to bite your lip to keep from giggling, but in that moment, the energy between you shifted. Frank started to lean in and you closed your eyes as his lips met yours. At first the kiss was soft and tender, almost tentative. But then his arms wrapped around you, pulling you closer and your hand ran through his hair as he deepened the kiss.
When you finally came up for air, you couldn't help the smile on your face when you saw how happy Frank looked. "That was fun," you laughed.
"I've been wanting to do that forever," he said, running a hand through his hair, smoothing it down.
"Well we should do it again sometime," you replied.
Just then, loud, drunken voices could be heard outside the door to the bus and you both jumped apart.
"They're in here makin' out or something," Ray shouted over his shoulder with a giggle. You knew there was no way they could have seen you two just minutes before, but the joke still rattled you.
"No they weren't," Mikey said disbelievingly, as he and Gerard followed.
You glanced at Frank who was shaking his head at your bandmates before he changed the subject to something totally random. Things had literally just started with him, and it felt fragile. The last thing you wanted was to have it all fall apart like nothing happened, and be left wondering forever what could have been.
The next day, nothing about the prior night was discussed between you and Frank, but it had been a busy day of press, playing, and meeting fans. When you were climbing back into your bunk, completely exhausted, you spotted a folded up piece of paper on your pillow. You closed the curtain behind you and turned on the small light above your bed. When you unfolded the note, you immediately recognized Frank's scrawling handwriting.
(YN), all I've been able to think about today is how your lips felt on mine and wondering when I can feel it again. I can't remember anything that was said to me because I was thinking about how I'd rather just be talking to you. I hope sometime before the end of this tour we can hang out alone together again.
XO, frnk
You bit your lip to keep from squealing with delight.
~
The last few days of Warped Tour were just as much of a blur, and when that tour was over, you were quickly shipped off to another one. Gerard was struggling and the whole band was impacted. Everyone dealt with it in their own way, and luckily you had Frank to brush away the worried tears when your brain wouldn't quiet enough to let you sleep at night.
Soon after, Gerard got the help he needed and when he rejoined the band, you were immediately sent back out on the road. Everything felt a little brighter that fall.
You and Frank were as good as ever, but still keeping your relationship quiet. His hand would find yours when no one else was around. You'd each sneak into each other's bunks and spend the nights cuddled together. Then there was the series of excuses as to why you two should share hotel rooms, which included Mikey texting too much, Ray talking too much, and Gerard keeping the light on all night drawing, among others.
So when you were blindsided with a migraine one morning, you were not at all pleased. The pain throbbed through your head as nausea rolled through your stomach. You groaned as you slid out of your bunk and stumbled to the front of the bus, which was obnoxiously bright, to the cabinet holding the medicine.
"There's sleeping beauty," you heard Ray laugh, but you just grunted in response. You grabbed the bottle of Excedrin and silently prayed they'd do their job quickly as you took a dose.
"You ok?" Frank asked as you slumped down on the couch.
"No, migraine."
Your bandmates groaned, knowing how much of a pain, literally and figuratively, they were for you.
"So you don't wanna go grab lunch?" Mikey asked.
"Please don't make me think about food or I might get sick."
"Do you want me to stay back with you?" Frank offered. It didn't even register how much concern he was showing toward you.
"No, I just wanna sleep and hope it goes away before we have to play tonight."
"Ok, we'll leave you alone. Come on guys," Gerard said, shooing the guys out. You glanced up and saw Frank giving you a sympathetic look before leaving the bus.
You dragged yourself back to the bunks, closing the door to the main room behind you and looked at your bunk. There was no way in hell you were climbing back up into it. Instead climbed into Frank's.
You pulled his blanket over you as you curled up in a ball facing the wall. His pillow smelled faintly of his shampoo, but not enough to make you feel sick, or maybe the medication was finally kicking in.
It felt like no sooner you'd fallen asleep that you heard voices in the front of the bus. You wondered how long you’d been out, but didn’t care enough to check the time. Before you could drift off again you heard the door opening and closing softly. Shuffling steps stopped behind you and then you felt someone climb in the bunk behind you.
"Hey," Frank said softly, his arm wrapping around your side.
"Hi," you answered, a smile forming on your face for the first time all day, not that he could see it.
"Feeling better?"
"A bit. Not 100% yet, but better than earlier."
"Mind if I nap with you?"
"Please do," you replied.
Frank drew the curtain shut and settled in behind you. He brushed aside your hair and placed a soft kiss on the side of your neck before giving you another quick squeeze.
You drifted back to sleep for a while, and when you woke up again, your headache was mostly gone you were relieved that you'd be able to play that night without feeling awful. As you stretched your legs out, Frank shifted, pulling you tighter against him.
"Better yet?" He murmured sleepily.
"Yea," you said, not moving more, afraid of disturbing the comfortable cocoon you two were in.
“So at lunch the guys were talking,” Frank started.
“‘Bout what?” You asked, rolling over.
“Us.”
“Oh?” Your heart rate going up.
“We went to this café for lunch and I got you a cupcake, it’s in the fridge by the way. And they were just wondering if there’s something going on between us.”
“What’d you say?”
“I just brushed it off, they were just giving me shit.”
“Oh,” you said, suddenly feeling a little dejected.
“Do you still wanna keep us a secret?” He asked.
“I dunno," you mumbled. "Do you?”
Frank intertwined his fingers with yours. "It's been kinda fun this way. But I also kinda wanna tell everyone I know that I'm the luckiest dude in the world BECAUSE I'm with you."
“Let's decide later,” you replied. “For right this moment, let’s just enjoy this.”
"Good idea," he replied with a soft smile before leaning in and kissing you lovingly.

All You Can Eat Bluff-et
WHEW. This took me a lot longer to write than I anticipated because I got kind of stuck near the end (just like a certain fatass lawyer in this one, hehe) but YEAH. Wow! Hope you guys like gay lawyer feeder/feedee relationships!
Phoenix Wright sat on the couch in his office, formerly known as the Weight & Co. Law Offices, blankly staring at the TV screen in front of him. It had been two weeks since he was found presenting forged evidence to the court and subsequently stripped of his attorney’s badge and defense attorney title. Since then he’d not really had much to do, not being used to being unemployed for the first time in years. He had cleaned the office from top to bottom multiple times in the first few days following his sudden dismissal, trying to keep his mind off the creeping existential dread. His friends had stopped by frequently to check on him when they heard the news, and he put on a reassuring smile to them all, but now? The apathy was beginning to set in. Phoenix sat there, wearing just a dress shirt, an undone tie, and some slacks, watching the news talking yet again about his disbarment, with his hand rummaging absentmindedly around in a bowl of potato chips. He kept bringing handfuls of the crunchy snacks up to his mouth, loudly chewing on them without realizing how much he was eating.
Phoenix had been eating like this for as long as he could remember, but without constant cases keeping him on the move, and all the time in the world to just sit on the couch and mindlessly watch TV, his snacking habits were starting to show on his body. His middle was starting to protrude just the tiniest bit, slightly straining the button nearest his tummy on his dress shirt. As his fingers scraped the bottom of the bowl with nothing left to eat in it, Phoenix got up off the couch and turned off the TV. At that precise moment, he heard the familiar Steel Samurai ringtone that his former assistant, Maya, had begged him to put on his cell phone echoing from across the office. Trotting over to his messy desk, he picked up the phone. “Wright and Co. Law Offi—er, wait. No. Hey, this is Phoenix Wright speaking?”
“Wright, I’m outside your office door,” spoke a familiar voice with a slight British accent to it, “Open up. How long have you been hiding away in there, anyways?”
Phoenix audibly sighed. “Just a couple of days, Miles. Don’t worry about it. I’ll be right over.” He hung up and made his way over to the office door, hastily running his hand through his hair to make sure it wasn’t a mess.
There outside his door stood Miles Edgeworth, the famed prosecutor, long-time rival to Phoenix Wright, and his boyfriend. The silver-haired man had bags in each hand which seemed to be very heavy. Phoenix leaned in to kiss his partner and then welcomed him into his office. Edgeworth looked around at the shabby state of the room, empty snack bags littering the floor, and huffed in mild disgust. “Really, Wright, you live like this? Have you eaten nothing but garbage junk food at all the past week?”
Phoenix rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “Well, you know, I was always more of an art guy in college than a cooking guy? Ehehehe…”
Miles groaned and dropped the heavy bags onto the couch, sitting down next to them. “Well, it is a good thing I brought you some real food then, Wright. Here, come sit next to me. I’ll show you what I’ve brought.” The well-dressed prosecutor patted the cushion beside him gently. Phoenix lowered himself down next to his boyfriend slowly and looked into his cool gray eyes curiously. Edgeworth opened one of the bags and pulled out a few plastic containers of some sort of soup. “This is homemade potato and leek soup, with lots of heavy cream. Very nourishing. It’s still warm, I made it just before I left to come over here. And this,” he said as he opened the other bag, revealing a single much larger container, “is a devil’s food cake. I also made this myself, but I baked it last night. The frosting is also homemade.”
Edgeworth popped the lid off of one of the containers of soup and, pulling a spoon out of the bag, dipped it into the bowl and lifted it to Phoenix’s mouth. Phoenix leaned back a little in confusion, stammering. “I-I am perfectly capable of feeding myself, Miles! You don’t have to—”
He was cut off abruptly as the spoon was inserted into his open mouth. The soup, with beautiful, bright flavors and creamy deliciousness, practically melted in his mouth. His cheeks flushed crimson as his eyes met his boyfriend’s, who lifted a finger to his own lips in a shushing gesture. “You have done so much for me, Wright. Now it’s my turn to take care of you. Understand?” Phoenix nodded quickly, still a little dazed, and Miles removed the spoon, refilling it from the bowl and bringing it to his lips again. This went on and on, as Miles emptied one container of soup and moved onto the other two, until there was no more left to feed to his lonely boyfriend. Phoenix belched softly, rubbing his distended belly, which strained against the buttons of his shirt even more now that he’d eaten essentially a whole pot of soup by himself. Miles rubbed his swollen tummy sympathetically before leaning over to whisper in his ear. “I hope you still have room in there, Wright, because you still have to eat dessert…”
Removing the rich chocolate cake from its container, Edgeworth cut off a large piece and held it to his boyfriend’s lips, encouraging Phoenix to take a big bite of the delicious confection. He opened his mouth wide and took a much larger bite than Miles had anticipated, taking about a quarter of the slice in one gulp. The two men continued in this manner, the prim and proper prosecutor delicately feeding slices of the moist chocolate cake to his now very stuffed boyfriend until no more cake remained. Phoenix undid the buttons on his shirt to allow his strained gut some relief, the orb of flesh firm and hard to the touch. Edgeworth gave his boyfriend some gentle belly rubs to try and ease his aching tummy before leaving for the night, promising to be back again tomorrow with more proper food to keep the unemployed former lawyer well-fed.
A year had passed since the fateful trial that had left the legendary Phoenix Wright unemployed, and not many people had seen much of the former lawyer since. Only his closest friends, and the occasional food delivery person, had been in contact with Mr. Wright since his disbarment. The one-time master of courtroom bluffs was sitting on the couch in his former office as he did every day now, a small stack of takeout boxes stacked on the coffee table in front of him. Anyone who knew Phoenix Wright in his lawyer days would hardly recognize the man on the couch as that legendary defense attorney now. Phoenix was wearing a baggy hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, having long since outgrown his old tailored suits from when he still practiced law. The loose, stretchy clothing he preferred to wear at present didn’t leave much to the imagination despite not being form-fitting yet. Phoenix’s chest, once a decently defined pair of pecs, had blossomed into a pudgy pair of moobs that even his XXL hoodie couldn’t hide, and his growing gut sat comfortably in his lap, the bottom of his softening tummy rolls peeking out from the bottom of his hoodie whenever he stretched or moved his arms. Speaking of which, Phoenix’s arms were also noticeably jiggly with fat, with rolls that bunched up at his shoulders whenever he reached upwards. He also had a nice, plush pair of love handles that oozed into a muffintop over the elastic waistband of his sweatpants, which his boyfriend Miles Edgeworth had taken quite a fancy to grabbing ahold of whenever they kissed. None of his weight gain on his upper half even held a candle to how his lower half looked, though. Living such a sedentary life for the past year since his disbarment had sent quite a bit of fat to his thighs and rear end. Phoenix’s ass cheeks were enormous, giving him a beautiful pear shape whether he sat his fat ass on the couch or stood up to waddle to the door to get food delivery. Each round cheek was roughly the side of a pillow, and just as soft. His thighs were also thickening at an astounding rate, each one roughly wide enough to get him stuck in some smaller chairs. When he’d weighed himself earlier that week, Phoenix saw that he’d surpassed 350 pounds. If he had still been a lawyer, that number would have stunned and horrified him, but now? He didn’t really mind at all.
The tubby former lawyer scratched at the stubble on his double chin, leaning forward to grab one of his takeout containers stacked in front of him, when the doorbell rang. Phoenix lowered his arm and instead hoisted himself off the couch, his chubby stomach wobbling underneath his sweatshirt as he did so. He walked over to the door to the office,  his meaty thighs rubbing against each other uncomfortably as he did so. God, I’m probably going to have to start taking bigger steps when I walk soon, Phoenix thought to himself as he reached the door. He peered through the peep hole, expecting to see Maya or Edgeworth or someone more familiar, but instead he saw a face he never thought he’d see again. Or, rather, the lower half of a face, since the upper half was covered by a very familiar visor. Phoenix hastily opened the door and stepped outside to confront the visitor.
“Godot?!” he shouted, “How did you get here? Aren’t you supposed to be—”
“In prison?” the white-haired man laughed. “Yeah, well, as it turns out, murder in defense of another isn’t a death sentence. Your pretty little boyfriend got my sentence reduced for “good behavior” and “health reasons”. He also said I should stop by and say hey.” The former prosecutor glanced up and down at Phoenix’s body, chuckling dryly. “Good to see you’ve been taking real good care of yourself, Phoenix, despite everything that’s happened to you.”
Phoenix gulped, subconsciously scratching at the bottom of his overfed gut which flopped over the waistband of his sweatpants. “So, you heard about… that?” Godot nodded, and Phoenix sighed softly. “Figures. Yeah, I got played for a fool. Given forged evidence to present in court. I’m sorry for letting you down so soon after I proved to you that I was worthy to follow in Mia’s—”
“Trite!” Godot snarled. Phoenix yelped and reflexively covered his face, expecting to feel a scalding cup of coffee smack into his face upon hearing his old rival’s nickname for him. He peeked around his fingers to see the masked man rummaging around in a plastic bag that was slung over his arm. That was the first time Phoenix noticed that Godot was carrying multiple plastic bags. The older man clicked his tongue decisively and pulled out a small white box, marked with a logo like a coffee cup with three red lines going horizontally across it. He held it out to Phoenix.
“What’s in this?” Phoenix asked curiously as he reached a hand out to take the box. Godot stayed silent, so Phoenix opened the little package. Inside was a large pastry, a cream tart shaped like an attorney’s badge. Phoenix looked down at the confection, then glanced back up at Godot, a look of confusion plastered on his chubby face. The masked man’s eyes couldn’t be seen, but his mouth broke into a sly grin upon seeing the disgraced attorney’s expression. “I needed something to do after I got out of prison, so I decided why not do what I was always born to do and open a nice little coffee shop? We’ve been a massive success, and your prettyboy boyfriend told me you’d been really enjoying sweet stuff lately, so I decided I’d bring a little taste of Café Armando to your office.” He lifted his bag-laden arms to properly show off just how much he’d brought with him. “Got a little something of everything we make back there for you, Wright. Mind if I come in?”
Phoenix swallowed heavily, his mouth watering already at just the prospect of gorging himself on fresh-made pastries. He nodded shakily, unable to form words with his mouth in his dazed state. Godot shouldered past the overweight former lawyer, heading further into the office. He chuckled loudly at the stack of takeout boxes on the coffee table. “Looks like you already got plenty to eat here, Phoenix, but that’s fine, I’ll put my stuff on this side of the couch for you.”  Godot dropped the bags of baked goods onto one half of the couch, leaving Phoenix with the other half all to himself.
The portly man sat back down on the couch cushion, his lardy ass spreading out under him to take up the entire couch cushion. He made to reach for one of the plastic bags and grab a box from within, but Godot slapped his hand away. He waggled a finger in Phoenix’s face. “Ah ah ah, that’s not how we’re doing this, Wright. Your man had very specific instructions for me. So you just sit there and look pretty while I handle the hard stuff, tubby.” Godot prodded a finger into Phoenix’s chubby gut to emphasize his point before reaching into one of the bags and removing the box that contained the cream tart from earlier. The older man then swung his legs over either of Phoenix’s thick thighs and straddled his rounded gut, leaning on it lightly while pressing the cream tart to the scruffy man’s lips. Phoenix eagerly devoured the tart in just a few bites, waiting impatiently for the next confection.
The two men continued their feeding session for hours, Godot getting more and more forceful the more Phoenix ate. His fat cheeks and double chins were covered in crumbs and cream, and a few bits of pastries had fallen onto the front of his hoodie, which was now riding up heavily on his distended gut. The soft layer of fat cushioning the outside of the enormous orb was stretched far by the amount of food Godot was stuffing into his former rival. Phoenix’s mouth was constantly full, every time he finished chewing on a pastry another was prompt shoved into his tiring mouth. Godot growled taunts in a low tone the entire time, calling him a fat pig and commenting on how far gone he was after just a year of unemployment. Finally, as he reached into the last bag to grab another pastry to shove into his adversary’s mouth, Godot’s long fingers closed around empty air. Turning his gaze back towards Phoenix’s exhausted, messy face, he grunted in annoyance. “Well, I guess that’s the end of my fun for now, Wright. But before I leave, I got one last thing I need from you…” Before Phoenix could muster a response, Godot leaned heavily against his bloated gut and wrapped his arms around the stuffed man’s chubby shoulders, planting his lips against Phoenix’s cream-covered mouth. Phoenix let out a muffled noise of surprise before melting into the kiss, unable to deny his long-standing attraction for the mysterious masked Godot back from his lawyer days. The two passionately made out for another few minutes, Godot’s sharp teeth digging into Phoenix’s lower lip occasionally. Finally, they parted, and Godot stood up, slapping Phoenix’s engorged stomach as he made to leave the room. Phoenix sat there in a daze for a few moments before the inevitable food coma washed over him, lulling him into a slumber while his stuffed gut digested its feast.
Morning light filtered through the blinds of the former Wright & Co. Law Offices’ windows, shining directly into Phoenix’s eyes and waking him up. The disgraced lawyer yawned and stretched as he leaned back on his couch, where he had fallen asleep sitting up the night before, just as he did every night these days. It was now a little over four years since the once-famous Phoenix Wright had been stripped of his attorney’s badge, and that time had not been kind to his once-slim and fit body. As he yawned, his fat cheeks caused his eyes to squish shut entirely, and his triple chin creased into a quadruple chin. His neck was buried under rolls of fat, showing no separation between chins and neck anymore. His hoodie, once slightly too big for him, was now several sizes too small, and yet he kept wearing it. The only thing it covered was his oversized moobs, which stretched the elastic fabric nearly to its limits just from their girth alone. The sleeves of said hoodie were starting to rip in places on the seams, his pillow-sized fat-coated biceps poking through the little tears in diamond-shaped bubbles that widened as he stretched his arms above his head. Phoenix’s stomach, while nowhere near his biggest asset, was still impressively large, completely visible due to his hoodie not even coming close to covering it now. His gut split into two distinct rolls that were separated by the fold where the upper roll collapsed over his belly button. The lower roll pooled in his lap like a liquid, settling between his overstuffed thighs while also overflowing over the outer edges of them, and flopping over the edges of his knees slightly. His love handles had also become a multi-layered deal, each one soft and squishy and overflowing out of his strained waistband like an overcooked souffle.
Still, due to his sedentary lifestyle since losing his job four years ago, Phoenix Wright was incredibly bottom-heavy. All those months of planting his fat ass on his couch and doing nothing but eating crappy takeout food, sleeping, and watching Steel Samurai reruns on his TV, with the only exercise he got being walking to the door to bring in all the bags of food he got delivered every couple of hours, truly did a number on the lower half of his body. Each of his enormous shapeless asscheeks took up one half of the couch, the cushions completely flattened underneath his incredible weight. The burgeoning bulk of his massive ass strained the fabric of his once-huge sweatpants, with one steadily growing tear going right down the middle of his butt, which would reveal his boxers to anyone behind him if his ass weren’t firmly sat down on his overburdened couch at almost all hours of the day. His thighs were almost as thick as tree trunks, making his pants look like overfilled piping bags, with little rips forming on the seams where his dimpled cellulite poked through. His thighs were so fat that no mater how far apart he spread them while sitting, they pooled under him in a way that they were always touching. The fat from his thighs was also starting to fold over onto his knees, making it gradually harder to bend them when he stood up to get his food deliveries. Phoenix was also starting to notice that his meaty calves were starting to get so fat that his ankles were fusing with the mass of fat that was the rest of his flabby leg rolls. All in all, the former legal legend was nigh unrecognizable to anyone who hadn’t seen him in the past four years and known about his decline into pure sedentary gluttony.
Phoenix felt a buzzing coming from the pocket of his hoodie that currently rested right between his massive pillow-sized moobs, straining his fat arms against his squishy chest. The sheer size of his chest made it hard for his already-overburdened arms to reach things in front of him, especially when it was something so close to his body. Eventually he managed to reach his pocked and pull out his phone and saw that the last of the deliveries had been made, so Phoenix swung his bulk off the couch and began waddling to the office’s door. His soft, flabby gut hung almost like an apron in front of his legs, the lower half of it dangling halfway down his couch-crushing thighs, slapping against them loudly with every heavy step he took. The obese man opened the door and gathered up the piles of takeout containers in his flabby arms, his wobbling gut just barely brushing the floor as he leaned down to pick up the precious packages. He knew he had a double date tonight with his husband and boyfriend, but Phoenix just couldn’t wait that long to have his greedy gut properly filled. He began steadily waddling his way back to his old worn out couch, his shapeless orbs that were his enormous ass cheeks jiggling hypnotically the entire time.
Phoenix slowly lowered his incredible bulk back down onto his sofa, oblivious to the strained groaning of the metal frame beneath his prodigious rear end. He deposited his delicious cargo onto the coffee table in front of his couch and leaned forward, his double-layered tummy splitting into even more rolls as he strained to reach one of the roughly thirty or so containers of food. He grabbed it in his pudgy fingers and sat back, sighing in relief as he opened the styrofoam box. Inside was a triple decker cheeseburger with extra cheese and bacon, with extra fries. Phoenix always gorged on burgers on Wednesdays, it was an old tradition of his and Maya’s to get burgers on Wednesdays nights after working a long case. Now that she was too busy training to be the next Master of Kurain Village, Phoenix opted to just stuff himself with extra large burgers on his own instead. Grasping the massive burger between his sausage-sized fingers, he lifted it to his mouth and took a huge bite, moaning in joy as the flavors of the juicy burger burst over his taste buds. A little bit of grease dribbled down his scruff chins, but Phoenix didn’t even notice. He continued devouring the triple cheeseburger with practiced ease, demolishing the entire thing and all the fries in record time before moving onto the next container, and the next, and the next…
The former lawyer ate and ate for hours, completely lost in the decadence of his burger feast, each one just as fattening and greasy as the last. Phoenix was completely ignorant to the pounds he was packing on in his fast food haze, too busy stuffing his flabby face with his greasy “breakfast”. His fatty arm rolls grew thicker and thicker, ripping the seams of his hoodie’s sleeves to shreds after just an hour of gorging himself. Tears in the stretchy fabric began to form between his massive breasts, each one straining the overburdened sweatshirt in opposite directions. His soft, flabby gut gurgled as it slowly seeped further outwards, filling his entire oversized lap and overflowing over his legs entirely. His enormous ass and titanic thigh rolls finally won the battle against his formerly-loose sweatpants, a series of loud ripping noises and the twang of splitting elastic signalling their end as waves of lard erupted out of them, his meaty love handles and wobbling cheeks resting comfortably on the arm rests of his overtaxed couch as his oak tree sized thigh rolls dangled over the edge of the sofa cushions.
Finally, after just a few hours, Phoenix finished devouring the last of his burger feast, belching into his closed fist after swallowing the last bite. The man lazily looked down at himself, realizing all he could see was his bare tits and the top roll of his gut. Then he felt his soft fatty flesh covering the entire couch, overflowing over the edges, and it hit him: Phoenix had officially grown fat enough to fill his two-person couch just by himself. As that realization was sinking in, he heard a loud noise, like metal bending, and his heart sank. Trying desperately to lower his sagging lard-covered arms to his sides to hoist himself off of the ticking time bomb that was his couch, Phoenix realized he was now so fat that his arms couldn’t bend right at the elbow anymore, his rolls of arm fat folding over the joint and making it essentially useless. Not only that, but he couldn’t even get his arms down to his sides anymore because of his beanbag-sized moobs and layers of side rolls getting in the way. Well, that just leaves me with one option, Phoenix thought to himself as he planted his chubby feet on the floor in front of him. He began slowly leaning forward, trying to inch his way upwards and off of his sofa, but after a few minutes a cold realization dawned on him: his enormously fat ass was stuck between the armrests of the couch. He’d heard of people getting stuck in a dining chair before, but an entire loveseat?! This was ridiculous! Phoenix didn’t have long to think about how incredibly obese he had gotten, as the couch let out one last groaning metallic shriek and gave out under his unbelievable weight. Phoenix let out a yelp as he plummeted backward to the floor with a resounding boom that sent the entire office quaking. Thankfully he had a lot of extra padding to cushion the fall, and he lay there groaning, his flabby shoulders and back rolls pushing his multiple chins and drooping jowls up around his face. Well, at least Miles and Godot will be here in a few hours, Phoenix thought to himself. I may as well sleep off those burgers while I wait for them. The gigantic man yawned loudly as he fell asleep, pinned beneath his own hundreds of pounds of lard, snoring loudly the entire time.
Phoenix woke with a start as he felt something laying on top of his squishy chest. He opened his eyes and was greeted with the familiar red glow of his boyfriend Godot’s visor inches from his fat-wreathed face. Standing over him and looking mildly amused was his husband, Edgeworth, holding a few bags of food in his arms. The chief prosecutor tssked softly as he shook his head at his obese partner. “Really, Wright, I’ve been warning you about that couch for months now, and yet you kept ignoring me. Now look where that got you, stuck laying on your back, pinned by your own greedy ways.”
Godot laughed softly as he leaned forward to kiss Phoenix’s fat lips. “He has a point, Phoenix, you really have let yourself go. You’ve become quite the hungry little hog, haven’t you?” The masked man grabbed heaping handfuls of Phoenix’s flabby jowls as he shoved his mouth against the helpless former lawyer, making out with him with such an intense ferocity that Phoenix didn’t really know what hit him. Their lips parted with a whimper from Phoenix, craving more, but it was cut off by Edgeworth sticking a sticky cream-filled donut in his husband’s greedy mouth. “There will be plenty of time for that later, dear, but for now, I’m sure you must be starving. Let us take care of that little issue first before we get you up off that floor and find out just how big a butterball you’ve become.” Miles passed the rest of the box of donuts to Godot, who was still laying on top of Phoenix’s enormous bulk. He positioned the box on Phoenix’s chins for easier stuffing access and began pressing the fried sweet delights into his mouth one after another, barely giving him any time to swallow one before another was fed to him. Miles sat on the floor beside Phoenix, leaning against his pillowy arm rolls as he began stuffing his husband’s face with large fancy cupcakes, frosting and crumbs flecking his droopy jowls and his many stubble-covered chins.
The tender dual-feeding session was over quickly, with two feeders and one voracious feedee making short work of the boxes of baked goods. Edgeworth leaned over his morbidly obese husband’s arm fat to kiss his round overstuffed cheek. “All finished? Then we should probably get you off the floor now and see how much you weigh, hm?” Godot whined from where he still lay on top of Phoenix’s mounds of man-tits. “Aww, but I’m having fun up here! He’s so soft and fun to pinch and lay on now “ The masked man grinned mischievously. “Plus, it’s so fun to see from above just how far the mighty Phoenix Wright has fallen.” Miles gave Phoenix’s flabby gut a hearty shove, sending the entire expanse of his husband’s fat-swaddled body wobbling so hard that it knocked Godot off of his chest. The two men each grabbed one of Phoenix’s lard-coated wrists and heaved, taking a solid five minutes to get the jiggling mound of pure fat that was once the best defense attorney around back on his feet. Edgeworth then led the pear-shaped butterball to the scale he’d bought last year, watching the numbers go up and up. They finally stopped, and Edgeworth read the display out loud. “Seven hundred and sixty-two pounds. Good god, Wright, you really have gotten enormous.” He pulled Phoenix into a hug, squishing into his pillowy soft body. “I’m so proud of you, dear.” Godot grabbed a fistful of his boyfriend’s chair-sized ass cheeks appraisingly, before grunting in approval. “Yeah, I’d say you’ve become a pretty prize hog, Phoenix. Good work. Looks great on you.”
The two much smaller men escorted their doughy partner as he lumbered his way back to the broken sofa. Phoenix was breathing heavily, worn out from just waddling over to the scale and back, but the couch was completely busted. He had nowhere to sit now. Edgeworth patted his squishy shoulders reassuringly. “Don’t worry, Phoenix. I can get you a special reinforced couch delivered tomorrow. But more importantly, I have a job opportunity that came my way for you.”
Phoenix looked at his husband quizzically. “Job opportunity? What kind?” Miles chuckled. “Well, it involves a lot of eating as a front, but… how good are you at playing poker?”
A young brown haired lawyer was pacing around the defendant lobby of the courthouse. Today was his first ever trial as a defense attorney, and his client was nowhere to be seen. The chubby man was very nervous, loudly muttering to himself in a voice that had clearly been driven hoarse from practicing all night the night before. “It’s fine, Apollo! Everything is just fine! Your client is probably just stuck in traffic, that’s all! He’ll be here in time for the trial! It’s fine! You’re fine! I’m fine!” He took a deep breath and let loose a yell that could probably be heard from across the entire courthouse. “I’M APOLLO JUSTICE, AND I’M FINE!!!” Breathing heavily after such an incredibly loud scream, Apollo wiped his forehead with the back of a pudgy arm and walked over to one of the benches in the lobby, collapsing onto it gratefully. It was then that the rotund young man noticed the array of tables on the other side of the defendant lobby, each one piled high with mountains of food. “What the…” he mumbled to himself, “Who is all that food for…? Is- Is that for me?” He hoisted himself off the bench and walked over to the tables, his fat tummy growling hungrily at the sight of all that delicious food. Apollo was by no means a skinny man, having been well acquainted with stress eating ever since he started law school. Reaching out for a cream-filled donut with one chubby hand, he stopped when he heard noises coming from out in the hall. Loud noises, like a dinosaur was stomping around out there. Curious to know the source, Apollo turned around at the exact same moment the door to the defendant lobby opened. His eyes were greeted with the sight of none other than the Chief Prosecutor himself, Miles Edgeworth. Apollo yelped in shock and bowed his head respectfully, but Edgeworth stopped him. “That won’t be necessary, Mr. Justice. I’m not here on prosecutor business. It’s a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance, though. I’ve heard much about you from your mentor, Mr. Gavin.”
Apollo’s chubby cheeks were bright crimson, flustered to receive such high praise from such a legendary prosecutor. “U-uh, th-thank you, Mr. Edgeworth. I mean! Uh! Chief Prosecutor, sir!” Miles chuckled, a sound that Apollo was certain not many heard. “Please, Mr. Edgeworth will do. Now, I’ve heard you’ve taken over the case that Mr. Gavin was originally meant to take?” Apollo nodded. “Yes, Mr. Edgeworth. Once I heard who it was I would be defending, I insisted! He was always a hero of mine when I first decided I wanted to be a lawyer as a kid. Even after what happened seven years ago, I still believe he’s innocent!”
Edgeworth nodded, satisfied by the fledgling defense attorney’s passionate answer. “Excellent. Well, then, your client shall be arriving shortly.” Apollo looked up at him, clearly confused, so Edgeworth continued without pause. “I said I wasn’t here on prosecutor business, correct? The only reason I came here was to make sure your client could get here on his own.”
Apollo hummed in even further confusion. “What do you mean, Mr. Edgeworth? Is he… injured?” Miles shook his head gently. “You’ll see soon enough. Good day, Mr. Justice, and good luck with your trial.” With that, the Chief Prosecutor left the defendant lobby, his coat tails swooshing behind him. Apollo stood in the middle of the lobby, absolutely baffled, when he realized the loud stomping noises in the hallway had started again, and were getting louder-- and closer. He stood and watched as the door to the hallway was opened, not by a hand, but by an enormous flabby stomach as wide as the door was pressed into it slowly. The wobbling double-decker behemoth of a gut oozed past the door frame, soft enough that it could still fit through despite being wider than the doorway itself. Then came the rest of the doughy man’s front, his enormous drooping moobs and upper belly roll the only thing covered by his tent-sized sweatshirt. His neck was a thick ring of no less than eight flabby chins, all covered in a stubbly beard. His eyes squinted from behind jiggling oversized jowls that drooped down to his shoulders. The mammoth of a man continued shuffling his way through the doorway, squishing all his doughy rolls against the frame. His arms, which were just cylindrical dimpled pillows of fat that were slowly absorbing his round hands at the wrists, grasped at either side of the door frame to try and lever his massive bulk through the door easier. But suddenly, his flowing rolls of lard stopped moving through the doorway, and the flabby behemoth strained and pushed against the walls with his swaddled arms, trying desperately to get the rest of his bulk through the door. Apollo shook himself and trotted over to help the comically oversized man.
As he got closer to the wedged ball of lard, Apollo really got a good look at just how massively obese this guy was, even with only half his body visible. The young lawyer wasn’t skinny at all, but this guy even put his soft and round physique to shame. Apollo was pretty sure he could see the man’s feet peeking out from under the bottom of the exposed rolls of his incredible gut, which came down to just above his ankles. Looking down at his own stomach, which only just barely drooped over his belt, he couldn’t help but feel a little impressed, and maybe jealous, that someone could get just so ridiculously fat.
Apollo coughed nervously before addressing the panting, wobbling blob of a man. “Uh, sorry to bother you, sir, but uh, do you… need help getting through the door?”
The blubbery behemoth responded in a voice that was deepened by all the fat caking his neck and interrupted with wheezy breaths every few words. “Yeahh… tha’ woul’… haah… helph a lot… thin’ my assh ish… haah… shtuck…” Apollo had to take a few seconds to mentally translate what the enormous man was saying through his speech being slurred by his flabby jowls getting in the way of his mouth. “Oh, your, uh, b-backside is stuck? Here, let me grab your arms and try and pull you through, okay sir?” The doughy butterball nodded, his cheeks and chins jiggling as he did, and he reached his overburdened arms as far forward as he could. Apollo had to lean into the man’s cushiony stomach rolls to reach his arms, feeling himself sinking into the warm, soft adipose. He grabbed onto the man’s fat-ringed wrists and began pulling as hard as he could, trying to ignore the way being enveloped between the man’s blubbery tits and tummy made him feel. After a few minutes of pulling the immense man’s nearly useless arms, Apollo finally felt the wobbling flab all around him begin inching forward slowly. He kept tugging at the monstrously sized man’s round hands as he in turn shuffled his titanic thunder thighs through the door, every roll and fold of fat covering them touching at the middle, all the way down to his ankles.  Once he got his double door-wide hips and thighs through the door, it was just a manner of getting his fat ass inside, which was easier said than done.
Apollo let go of the man’s flabby arms to take a few steps back and think of a new plan of attack. He scanned the blubbery blob’s body, observing the parts he could now see that were stuck on the other side of the door before. It was no wonder he’d gotten stuck in the door. It was a single doorway, and this man, who was so fat that he’d probably be immobilized by his own weight soon if he kept getting fatter, had a lower half that was wide enough to take up five chairs at a dinner table. One overstuffed thigh was almost as wide as the doorway itself on its own, let alone two of them. His squishy love handles oozed over the top of his sweatpants that probably had more X’s in their size than Apollo cared to even imagine, giving the already definitively pear-shaped blubber bag a overflowing muffin top behind his apron of stomach rolls. His arms rested at a ninety degree angle because of his beanbag-sized tits and plush love handles colliding with fat-coated arm rolls that were the size of his own fat head. Damn, how huge must this man’s butt be if it’s still stuck in the doorway after all the rest of that managed to get through?! Apollo thought to himself, when he noticed the whale-sized lardball eyeing the food tables that he’d almost taken a donut from earlier. “Who’sh tha’… haah… food f’r...? Haah… haah…” the behemoth wheezed. “The food? Oh, I’m not sure. It was here when I got here. No one said whose it was.” Apollo could only stand and watch in awe as he observed what happened next. The monumentally obese man began wobbling his bulky form forward and backward against the door frame, slamming his rolls against it repeatedly as cracks began to form around the wooden framework. He then began slowly inching his thunderous legs forward, having to shift his blubbery bulk back and forth in a painfully slow waddle, his lard-caked thighs touching at all points no matter how far apart he spread his legs to “walk”. As he moved his door-sized legs forward, the cracks around the door frame widened, creating loud snapping noises as he dragged his rolls of fat further and further into the defendant lobby.
Finally, with one resounding crunch, the door frame gave way, parts of the walls surrounding it coming with it, crushed to pieces by the enormous blob of a man and his incredible ass cheeks. The flabby titan’s doughy body surged forward as he freed his backside finally, giving Apollo a chance to finally see the probably half-ton of lard in all his glory, and boy, did it make sense how he’d gotten so stuck in that doorway. The man’s ass was easily wide enough to get stuck in a double door, let alone a single one! Each doughy cheek probably took three chairs to sit on on their own, and they sagged so far down that they were touching the floor! Apollo was stunned. How could someone get this fat and still be up walking around? The swollen mass of fatty rolls wobbled constantly as he stood still, wheezing from the effort of busting through the doorway using his hundreds of pounds of fat as a battering ram. After getting his breathing back to the normal level of heavy breathing for one his massive size, the colossal mountain of man-flesh turned his attention back to the tables piled high with food across the lobby, drooling at the sight of it all. He began shuffling his jiggling bulk towards the tables slowly as Apollo watched in fascinated awe. Each heavy step shook the entire room, his double-decker gut rippling with shockwaves from slapping against his meaty cankles with every step. His shapeless flabby ass cheeks wobbled hypnotically as they bumped against the floor with every movement. His beanbag chair moobs slapped against his flab-caked arms, which rested at an angle  even when waddling across the room. His cascade of chins and sagging jowls shook with every heaving breath from the exertion of walking so much. As soon as the man’s gut rolls reached the tables before the rest of him, he flung his doughy body at the plates of food, his fat hands grabbing any food within reach and stuffing it into his greedy face, chewing loudly and getting his chins covered in food. Apollo cleared his throat and spoke to the whale of a man. “Um, excuse me, sir, but, wh-why are you here? This is the defendant’s lobby, not a buffet.”
The barely-mobile butterball spoke around a mouthful of food. “Mmmmph… sho… Milesh… mrrrrmph… dihden… shay…? Youh… ahre… hffff… my… lawyuh…mmmmph…”
Apollo’s jaw practically hit the floor. Gazing at the mound of blubber before him, wearing a tiny sweatshirt stretched across his moobs and sweatpants what couldn’t even contain half of his ass fat, the young defense attorney stammered out a response. “W-what?! So then… y-you’re the Phoenix Wright?! The famous defense attorney?” The man’s swollen fatty head wobbled in something resembling a nodding gesture, his neck too fat for an actual nod. “Wh-what happened to you? Last I heard, you’d been disbarred seven years ago! How did you end up like… like that?” The enormous Phoenix Wright paused his gorging himself to explain. “Haaah… haah… I wohrk… ash a… haah… tashte… teshtuh… urrrrp… fuhll… tihme…” The blob-shaped man smiled cryptically, before immediately returning to stuffing his face with the frantic speed of someone who thought they would starve to death. Apollo rubbed his temples, more stressed than ever. How was he going to defend someone who couldn’t even go ten minutes without eating? This case was going to be an ordeal, he could just tell.

how would haikyuu boys handle falling in love feat. kuroo + akaashi + tsukishima !!
kuroo tetsuro
being in a relationship with him is just a pretty chill experience tbh
i feel like kuroo wouldn’t really date anyone he’s not close to on a comfortable level
people be like: omfg he looks like a player tho
he’s literally not ???? like y’all telling me this man doesn’t look like the idea of having to interact with people he doesn’t know repulses him ? bye
he’s not ignorant, he just isn’t the type to get out there unless necessary yk?
he’s got a good friend group and he’s totally satisfied with that !!!!!!
so when he was 100% sure that he saw you as somebody he’d want to be more than friends with he was just like :0
kuroo at 5:37 am, thinking of that one time you handed him a bottle of water first: oh— oh shit
he doesn’t act on it first though because y’all have been friends for so long and what if you don’t like him back ???
he didn’t wanna ruin the thing he had with you because you were literally the only one who tolerated him sending tiktoks at 4 am in the morning
kuroo: omfg have you seen this one yet
you: bro it’s almost 5 am are you on crack
but eventually he got tired of just staring at you and admiring you from afar and having to make up some excuse when you catch him cause he just really likes looking at you :(
you: bro stop staring at me
kuroo: no, your face bothers me
you: due to personal reasons i will make you pass away ❤️
so one day he just decides to shoot his shot yk?
if you reject him that’s fine, he’ll just have to send numerous tiktoks to wash away the awkwardness afterwards
like he’ll be upset about it because holy crap he flat out adores you at this point but he’s also got a sense of boundaries and will totally respect your decision
BUT !!!! when you told him you liked him too he just 🥺👉👈
this man had the goofiest grin on his face for weeks on end and his heart is all over the place because all the things he imagined in his head to do with you is finally gonna come true !!!
don’t be fooled though !! nothing will change from your friendship !!! you’re still both really chill with each other except now y’all can hug and kiss and !!!!!
kuroo: don’t i look kinda good in this picture though
you: not really, let me take a better one
kuroo: stop taking me out of frame
in retrospect, it’s really fun to be in a relationship like the one you two have because there’s not much things to disagree on and the dynamic you both have just go so well !!!
there’s also not a lot of new things to do or be uncomfortable about because y’all have already done everything as best friends !!!!!!! it’s 🥺
you, seeing kuroo staring at you: what’re you looking at me for
kuroo, unnerved: you’re so pretty
you, caught off guard: it’s my time to pass away now i see 😌
you two joke around a lot but that doesn’t mean you two take whatever you say to heart
somewhere along the line, this made kuroo a bit worried on how you took his intentions though
he knew you were cool with messing with him but sometimes he wonders if what he says ever gets to you
so one night while the two of you are eating frozen yogurt in his car, you in his hoodie and just straight up vibing to the tiktoks that played as background music
he looks up, spoon in his mouth, “you know that i love you, right?”
“you’re so cheesy,” you tell him, laughing while you scroll up to the next video on the fyp
he leans back in his seat, eyeing you under the single yellow light of the car
you, barely looking up from your phone: i love you too though
akaashi keiji
being in a relationship with akaashi is quite literally the most gratifying thing
he’s 97% of your wise decision making and you’re very much thankful for that
when he first met you he honestly didn’t know what to think
his first impression of you? an indecisive impulsive mess
his second impression of you? a very cute indecisive impulsive mess
there’s not a single doubt that he was crushing on you H A R D
he doesn’t pay attention to it though because he knew how crushes often worked and most of the time they didn’t really work out
but the more he looked at you or stared at you from afar with a silly grin that he doesn’t even realize, everyone around him notices just how silent you make him
leave it up to the fukurodani volleyball club to be the best matchmakers in the world
so one night while akaashi was chilling in bed he gets a text from bokuto telling him about an impromptu team hang out sesh
akaashi: it’s 7 pm ..?
you, in the group chat: theres never a wrong time for milk tea !!!!!
when you sent that everyone else in the chat was just so frickin ecstatic because now that you’ve confirmed you were going, it’s obvious that akaashi was now too
he arrived like 2 minutes early from the designated time and the way it wasn’t at all shocking when no one else arrived except for you
akaashi: well they totally bailed :/
you: hey at least now we have a list of people to take revenge on when the purge strikes
it’s okay though because the two of you make most of the night anyways !!
you never thought sitting outside of a 7/11 at 7 pm on a friday could be fun but as you sat there with boba tea and a ramen cup with one of your closest friends next to you, you were just !!!! so frickin soft
akaashi on the other hand didn’t feel anything but utter nervousness the whole time
it was so cold under the night sky and you were so close to him, he’s praying that you take the redness on his cheeks from the weather and not from the rapid racing of his heart
bokuto texting him: bro i swear to god if you’re not taking this chance to shoot your shot i’m >:(
he’s so nervous because it actually was an ideal time to tell you how much he liked you
plus he’s pretty sure that you were eventually gonna notice just how often he glanced at you whenever you came to their practices or in general
so he’s like fine then !!! he’s gonna do this tonight and if you reject him then he’s just gonna have to deal !!!!
akaashi, anxious: hey i really li—
you, cutting him off: i like you a lot and i’m pretty sure bokuto did this on purpose because he knows and i’m sorry if it wasted your time !!!!
akaashi, less anxious: oh
HE !! DOES NOT HESITATE !!! TO REASSURE YOU !!
he just smiles softly and tucks your hand in his and tells you he’d like to walk you home that night
after that something just changed between the two of you
suddenly he’s walking you home everyday with little forehead kisses before he leaves
going grocery shopping with him when you run out of food at home because he’s the only one who knows about your secret snack stash
akaashi: you don’t need that much yakult
you: ? don’t be alarmed but i think we just found the reason of our first fight
whenever you go out with him to shop for anything at all, he always has to be the person in front when you walk because he’s the one pushing the cart with his left hand while his right is tightly interlocked with yours
you just stray behind him, pointing out all the things you’d like and he’s the one who decides if it’s worth to buy because you’re absolutely sure that you’d be dead broke if you were left alone
akaashi: this hoodie looks cute, do you wanna try it out
you, recalling the four sweatshirts you haven’t returned to him: nah i have enough
sometimes you’d get in the cart whenever the grocery store you’re in is mega big and he’s just gonna have the most unbothered face as people eye him because he’s pushing a fucking cart with a person in it
you’d get worried though thinking that you’re too heavy for him to push around so you insist to get off but he just doesn’t let you because you were so cute and 😤
akaashi is just so frickin soft when it comes to you like most of the time when someone idly mentions your name a smile immediately comes up to his face and he doesn’t even realize it
he also almost always wake up to numerous snaps of you at 3 in the morning just doing the most random things
he goes through them with such a silly grin and has to fight the urge to screenshot all of them cause u were so FRICKEN cute
akaashi, looking at a photo of you with tears down your face from 4 am: that’s my baby 👉👈
everyone around y’all are just on the fence about the two of you dating since neither of you really cleared what was going on ???
you were scared to call him your boyfriend because there was never really a discussion about it and you didn’t want to come off as assuming
but one afternoon right before he left when he dropped you off at your house, he just stopped and looked at you and you were so confused
akaashi, taking off his sweatshirt and giving it to you: the news said it gets cold tonight
you, on the verge of tears: oh 🥺
tsukishima kei
he’s a salty little shit who complains 24/7 and that’s about as canon as it gets
BUT but !!! if there’s anything tsukishima is good at and i mean anything !!! it’s being observant and keen on the people around him !!! ESP TO YOU !!!
at first you were always just kinda there ?
like he noticed your presence cause you shared classes with him and you were also at his practices a lot cause you and kiyoko would walk home together
so he knew of you but didn’t really know know you, yk?
but then one day yamaguchi came to him introducing you because apparently he’s the only one left on the team who hasn’t met you and it may or may not be because you were low key scared of him
it’s all good though cause once you two shook hands and talked he became more open to actually including you in his life
you guys made out to be good friends considering that you balanced out his snarky attitude with your even worse comebacks
like they weren’t really all that clever but it’s annoying enough to get him to shut up when you want him to
everyone on the team was super surprised at the fact that you were able to talk to tsukishima like that but also they were like: “please don’t ever stop???”
so you became from someone he barely realized was there to always looking for you first when he enters a room
yamaguchi: you know some people would call that having a crush 😗
and he’s all confused cause he knew that the possibility of him getting through high school without having a crush was very slim but jesus christ a crush on YOU??
tsukki, internally: god has favorites and it is not me 💔
but when he gets over the idea that it’s completely revolting to like you like that he realizes something click and suddenly it wasn’t an annoying idea to see you romantically
so in full tsukishima style he asks you out and was pretty surprised when you said yes but you weren’t cause he wasn’t even mildly subtle at hiding his intentions
you: does this mean you won’t be mean to me anymore 🥺
tsukki: no but that’s a nice try ❤️
even when the two of you started dating, he didn’t really want anything to change cause he liked the dynamic he had with you
he was very relieved that you weren’t easily offended and you didn’t really get on his nerves a lot
you guys were hot heads but you also respected each other 🥺
something you quickly became accustomed to after dating though is being codependent when it came to sleeping
you’re usually always over at each other’s houses and his mom is totally over the moon at the fact that his son found someone like you
so every afternoon after school you two are at either houses and just chilling and vibing because school do be very tiring tho
most of the time naps happen and even if it is super hot outside and you’re on the verge of a heat stroke, you just can’t get comfortable unless you’re touching him yk?
tsukishima’s probably the same since he really likes it when his leg is over yours or when his arm is touching your arm
you, under a blanket against tsukki’s back in extremely warm weather: it’s hot
tsukki, sweating: yeah
you: so anyways
he didn’t even realize how much he’s used to you being there when he falls asleep that at night when he actually needs to rest and you’re not anywhere near him he just can’t ???
tsukishima, snapping you a picture of him with tired eyes at 2 in the morning: you ruined my life
you, just as tired, quickly replying: uno reverse card bitch
so it’s 2 am and neither of you can fall asleep and it’s just an entire frenzy of tiring yourselves out
the two of you end up facetiming and just talking endlessly about random thoughts and perspectives on people
his voice is 100% groggy and every 2 minutes he’s yawning but he really likes it when he’s talking to you because it’s always better when it’s you in the mix
he’s telling you all about how he thinks dinosaurs are super cool and fantastic that when he realizes you’ve fallen asleep he’s just like 🥺
he stares at the screen for a while, suddenly regretting that he wasn’t there to make sure you were comfortable
he’s got the softest smile on and he doesn’t even care that he’s staring at you while you’re asleep cause you just looked so peaceful and warm and sweet
tsukki: that’s my baby 🥺
he feels another yawn come up and he ends the call, hoping that the tone won’t wake you up when he does
at this point he’s also on the verge of falling asleep and he’s very glad that he talked to you because you always knew how to get him out of things like this
tsukki, texting you: thanks for falling asleep on me SNAKE
tsukki: love you, gn <3

comfy clothes [ commander cody ]
Tumblr media
SUMMARY — it’s a lazy day at the barracks, and the renowned commander cody finds out that one of his only hoodies is missing.
WARNINGS — this is literally just fluff, gn!jedi!reader
NOTE — i’ve seen a lot of art depicting clones in hoodies and i just…i had to write a little fic
———
IT WAS QUIET. the barracks were still, not a single soul moving a muscle. the men slept so heavy not even canon fire would wake them. they had an off day, and man they needed it.
commander cody was the first to awake, his auburn eyes flicking across the room. he sat up, pulling himself out of his warm cocoon. he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and flung his legs over the side of the cot. he let his feet barely brush the floor, the plans for the day running through his mind. he had off, and yet he had no idea what he was going to do with his time.
he knew the jedi had meetings and other business to attend to, but what was he supposed to do? he’d been fighting this war ever since he was a child, and now having a day off, it boggled his mind. he did have one idea, though.
cody changed out of his blacks and on some more comfortable clothing; sweats and a sweatshirt. though, when he went to look for a sweatshirt, he noticed one was missing. cody only owned two, and that was a lot given the amount of time he spent in his armor. he didn’t think much of it; maybe one of his brothers used it. he wasn’t going to make a big deal out of it.
it was still early when cody walked into the mess hall, his hair in curly knots. he went straight to the caf, as one does, but it took him a minute to realize someone else was in the room with him. he turned around with his cup in hand, seeing you, your head down on the table and wearing none other than his hoodie. a smile made its way onto cody’s face as he walked towards you. he sat down next to you, placing a hand on your back. he’s never seen you in clothing other than your jedi robes, and here you were, dressed in sweats and a hoodie. your hair was also a mess due to sleep, and apparently, you hadn’t had much time off.
“cyar’ika,” he hummed, pressing a warm kiss to your temple. you stirred, your body slowly coming back to life. you turned your head to face him, your eyes still closed.
“mornin,’” you exhaled, slowly opening your eyes. you looked at cody, admiring his features and seeing how relaxed he was. you rarely ever saw him like this, relaxed and unbothered. he almost looked domestic.
“sleep well?” he inquired, running his hand through your hair, massaging your scalp. the feeling of his fingers digging into your scalp sent your brain into a frenzy; you didn’t know what to feel.
“obviously,” you mused, earning a snort from cody.
“council keep you up?”
“not the meetings but the work, yeah. i took on the reports for my men so they could sleep,” you sat up, running your hands down your face. you had that habit, doing reports for your missions instead of your men doing them. you finished and didn’t have the energy to go to your quarters.
“i bet they appreciated that,” cody appreciated just how thoughtful you were as a jedi general. the way you always put the feelings of your men before your own, warmed his heart and made him smile like a child. he was so proud of you, and he was lucky to call you his.
“i see you’ve stolen something of mine,” he hummed, leaning back. he brought up one of his legs underneath of him, his hands now cupping his cup of caf.
“mhm,” you replied through pursed lips. he chuckled and scooted closer, nuzzling his face into your neck.
“you’re gonna make it smell like you,” he sighed, setting his caf down and wrapping his arms around your middle.
“and is that a bad thing?”
“nope,” he let his hands fall from your abdomen and down your body, caressing your thighs and eventually his hands fell back into his lap. he picked up his head, giving you a warm smile.
“go back to bed?” you suggested, seeing as the commander still wanted sleep. he grabbed his cup, stood up, and drug you with him.
“of course,” he agreed. cody wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you in close to him. he was so so lucky to have you by his side and always there for him. cody didn’t know what he did to deserve you, but whatever he did, he was grateful he did it.
———
haven’t written cody in a while so here he is, commander golden boy. anyways, i am in college now ahaha so year 2 is officially in progress. things will continue to pick up and i’ll continue to be busy, so fics will be spaced out, but i’ll still be posting! i love you guys so much!! stay safe and healthy!

🧚🏼‍♀️Masterlist🧚🏼‍♀️
Tumblr media
You and Peter ended badly.
Neither of you had managed to keep the relationship going after high school and messed it up real bad. The fake smiles and distance meant everything. The two of you were just to far away both mentally and physically to keep it going.
The only reason the two of you had clanged onto it was the memory of high school and the souvenirs of the first time you truly felt love. So when you finally decided it was time to stop this mess, it ended up hurting both of you and messing up your friendship.
But lately, everything made you think about him. The blue sweaters of your boyfriend made you think of Peter’s collection of blue cardigans and flannels. His plain white T-shirts’ started to bore you and you couldn’t get your mind off Peter’s pun shirts that you bet were still somewhere in his closet.
“You ok?” Jack asked as he scrolled through his computer.
You nodded rubbing your warm teacup as you stared at the bright red spiderman sticker on his computer, for the first time in a while wishing it was Peter behind the screen, rather then Jack.
You started questioning everything when you realized it had been more than four years since you and Peter broke up. Your two year anniversary with Jack sent fear into your stomach as you realized it had been that long.
You would be lying if you said you never missed Peter. Because you did. You missed the smell of his shampoo and the way he would dress. You missed his voice and the jokes he would crack every so often. Each one of them being so stupid you had to laugh. You missed playing board games until 3 am and your monthly Star Wars marathons. You missed the Star Wars debates and waking up by him tapping on your window in his spider suit both your breakfasts in hand.
The simple thought of him made you want to snap your fingers and go back, go back to a simple life with him, one where you could fully be yourself.
It wasn’t that Jack was a bad boyfriend… He was just sometimes a little shallow. He would go and watch the games every week with his friends, forgetting anniversaries or even important moments of your life. He would also gawk about how much he hated Star Wars right in front of you, and sometimes even saying how stupid the people who did were.
So you hid your true self all the time. You even had to hide your Star Wars hoodies and shirts at MJs by fear of him finding them and throwing them away like the rest of the things you owned that he hated.
And for the anniversaries? Well, you just cried in a corner or sucked it up as you would always do.
You wished you could have gotten at least one more bouquet of flowers from Jack, or at least a cute gesture. But since you had passed the one year bar, everything seemed to slowly go away.
The chorus of Smack that from Akon ft. Eminem brought you back to real life. You shook your head as you realized it was Jack’s ring tone and slightly frowned sick of hearing this song each time he got a call.
He took his phone and looked at it. You scanned his face and saw nothing changed in his features.
“I have to go, babe.” He quickly replied before giving you a smile and leaving out the door. The second he left you let out a sigh of frustration as he didn’t even give you a goodbye kiss, or anything else to go with a loving goodbye.
You eyed the door before deciding to go out and get a change of scenery.
To be honest you were even getting sick of that apartment. Everything was his and left no room for you. Little by little all your gadgets had been replaced with his or even disappeared. For example, the little teddy bear MJ had given you for your friendaversy had gone missing a few weeks ago and so did a souvenir from France.
The more you thought about your relationship with Jack, the more you felt like you were taking a sip of poison each day, waiting until you had the right amount in your system to kill you. The more you were going forward, the more it felt like you were hurting yourself, and it felt terrible.
You walked into an area of Manhattan you hadn’t been to in months and stopped at your favorite coffee shop, the one Jack couldn’t stand.
He said he didn’t like the way it smelled, looked, and just the whole vibe. But you were holding this place close to your heart. The decorations, the scent, the tables, and the memory they held. Everything about made you sick and happy at the same time.
You ordered the same thing you use to, and sat at the same table, pressing your forehead against the window, looking at the quiet streets sighing to yourself as you thought back to everything wrong with your life.
Suddenly your ears caught the soft sounds of the bells and the door hitting the wall with a loud thud.
A breathless brunette had almost run in, cash falling out of his hand. He fumbled in his spot before picking it up and looking up towards the counter where a variety of pastries were presented. That’s when you realized who it was.
It was Peter.
Your first love, Peter Parker.
The one you couldn’t get off your mind for the past few weeks, the one you missed so much he even hunted your dreams.
You kept your eyes focused on him as he ordered a chai latte as you remembered, and a white choco chip cookie to go. You watched as he walked towards the waiting spot and waited, not touching his cookie as he wanted to have it at the same time as his drink.
“Peter?” The barista called out as he placed the cup on the counter.
Peter grabbed it with a smile and looked up meeting your eyes.
That’s something he never thought he would have the luck to again.
His heart froze he as he saw you. You were dressed in a beige trench coat he had never seen before, the color suiting you well. Your hair was casually resting on your shoulders and to his surprise you were smiling back at him, and even waving. He smiled back as he decided to walk up to you, not caring if it was weird.
You see Peter missed you too. He actually missed you a lot. Peter had broken up with his girlfriend because he couldn’t take you out of his mind. He thought the poor girl would take you off his mind, but it just made it worst. Peter couldn’t stop thinking about you and it tormented him during the whole relationship. To be honest, he was so scared to break up with her he thought he was going to end up like Ross from friends when he said the wrong name at the altar.
“Hey.” Peter smiled.
“Hey.” You gave back the smile and pointed to the seat in front of you. “You can sit if you want? It’s been a while.” You stated before bringing the cup back to your mouth.
“Sure you don’t mind?” He said placing a hand on the chair, tapping it with his fingers.
“Yeah.” You nodded with a happy smile.
Peter sat down and placed his cookie on top of the wrapping using it as a plate, your heart skipping a beat as you saw him smile.
“How’s life?” He asked before taking a sip of his chai.
“Alright.” You let out a sad chuckled. “Could be better.” You folded your arms.
“Oh.” He replied looking at you with soft eyes, wondering if you were truly unhappy with your life.
“Don’t worry tho.” You smiled before placing a strand of hair behind your ear. “How’s life for you?”
“Good. Im starting the Parker Industries. It’s going pretty well.” He replied proudly.
“Really?” Your eyes widen. “You’re finally getting your dream?”
“Yeah.” His cheeks turned a light shade of red under your impressed stare.
“But that’s amazing. Running an industry like this is huge.” You stated making Peter blush even more.
“Well, I had help. And everything was already laid down by Tony.” He scratched the back of his head his blush still present
“And? It’s still huge that someone so young managed to do this!” You exclaimed.
“Well, thank you.”
Minutes turned into hours and you felt like you hadn’t lived during these four years without Peter. Everything you missed about him came hitting you in the face. His laugh, his scent, the joy in his eyes, the more you talked with him the more you could sense the slight changes in his life. He looked good, even better you thought. Everything you loved about him was still there, but he had become even more mature and almost better then you remembered.
Your phone rang and the familiar contact of your boyfriend popped up.
“Oh crap. I have to go.” You made a face as you looked at your phone, cursing the stars that he was in your life. “But I really had a good time.” You looked up to him with a sincere smile.
“Me too.” He smiled getting lost in your eyes, the ones he missed for the past years. “Um, let me accompany you.” He fumbled with his hands as he offered you a walk home. “Make sure your safe.” He winked and you chuckled at his remark.
“Alright, Spider-man.” You bumped your shoulder in his as you walked out of the shop and into the tall buildings of New York.
“Im glad the start of Peter industries is going well.” You smiled as you fumbled with the sleeves of your sweatshirt.
“Yeah! Me too! Happy’s been a great help tho.” He smiled as he continued walking.
You felt more peaceful with Peter then you had ever been with Jack. Maybe it was just knowing Peter was Spider-man, but his company felt nicer than his.
You felt the sparks that were once there come back, your heart skipping a beat as your hand brushed his.
“This is my stop.” You awkwardly stood in front of your building. Peter felt a weight in his stomach as he didn’t want to leave you.
Peter stopped and awkwardly shifted in his spot and so did you.
“I like your sweatshirt.” He replied pointing to your Star Wars themed sweater.
“Thanks. You would love the person who gave it to me.” You smirked mindlessly getting closer to him.
“Aha! I think I know him!” Peter placed a hand over his chin. “Isn’t it the guy who dresses in red and blue, saves a bunch of people?” He tittled his head.
“Maybe.” You wiggled your eyebrows before the two of you fell into peaceful laughter.
As it slowly quieted down you met his eyes, getting lost in their honey color you missed so much.
You let yourself go into autopilot as you both slowly leaned in for a kiss.
“I can’t.” You rested your head on Peter’s shoulder skipping the kiss. “I have a boyfriend.” You sighed feeling more weight into your stomach as all you wanted to do was kiss him. “I’m so sorry Peter.”
“Agh. It’s alright.” Peter’s face twisted as he awkwardly patted your shoulder.
You removed your head from his shoulder and looked up to him, a mix of guilt and desire mixed in your mind.
“I’m really sorry Peter, seriously.”
“Hey don’t worry about it.” His cheeks were slightly red and he looked to the floor playing with a rock. “Um my spidey senses and tangling. I’ll um see you later.” He awkwardly nodded before leaving you in front of your building feeling like an idiot.
You let out a soft scream of frustration before walking up to your apartment just too meet your boyfriend. You took one look at his face and felt nothing. You started to ask yourself what you ever saw in him.
In an instant you missed Peter’s touch, you missed everything you had. You looked at your phone and wondered if even with the failed kiss you could break up with Jack and get him back.
You looked back up to him, the bright daylight shining in his green eyes. Your stare shifted to a poorly hidden hickey on the side of his neck.
“What is this?” You asked as you placed your finger on his neck, the cheap foundation staining your fingers.
“Oh, nothing.” He chuckled trying to get away from the truth. “I hit my neck.”
“And you covered it with cheap foundation?” You raised an eyebrow and showed him your stained fingers.
“Yeah, thought it didn’t look good.” He added.
“Jack who gave you this hickey?” You asked way calmer on the outside.
“No one, it’s a bruise.” He tried to laugh it off.
“Jack don’t lie to me.” You looked back into his eyes.
“Your so paranoid chillax.” He shook his head before digging his head in his phone.
You grabbed the sweater he was holding and put it up to your face.
“Why does it smell like Chanel n5?” You stated bringing it back down, listing the people you knew who used it.
“I don’t know because it’s your perfume?” He scoffed and rolled his eyes.
“You know I don’t wear your hoodies.” You looked at him but his stare was elsewhere. “And my perfume is from Chloe.” You replied feeling the tears fall down your cheeks.
“Well, what do you want me to say? That I cheated on you?” He looked back up to you and you froze not able to nod or reply.
“Because I did! Is that what you want to hear?”
You thought your relationship was risking a landslide, well it was already a landslide. It was crumbling to pieces in front of your eyes and you didn’t even see it.
“What are you doing?” He asked you almost raising his tone as you grabbed a duffle bag and walked to your room.
“Moving out.” You replied all happiness drained out your voice.
“Hey, Hey! We can work this out!” He said and grabbed your arm. “C'mon baby.” He gave you a large smile.
“Kate wears Chanel number 5.” You said as you stuffed your favorite shirts inside your bag, adding jeans and a dress on the way.
“So?” He scoffed once again.
“So you’ve been ‘going to tennis club’ with her for almost a year now.” You felt more tears as you dropped your bag and walked to his closet to pick up his jet clean tennis racket. “Does this look used to you?” You started feeling dumb for not seeing it before. You grabbed the plastic container filled with tennis balls that he stuffed in his bag every week and opened it.
“The balls are still bright yellow.” You scoffed as you threw one in his face. You brought a new one to your nose and smelled the industrial smell of a brand new tennis ball. “They smell new.” You paused to look him in the eyes before throwing the ball in his face and shoving the rest of the pack on the floor. “I’ve played enough tennis in my childhood to know this.”
You let out a bitter laugh and grabbed your toiletry bag stuffing it with your clothes. You walked to your closet one more time and grabbed a box filled with a few Star Wars sweatshirts.
You spotted the one Peter had given you a few years ago and slipped it on before grabbing your bag and storming out.
“I’ll pick up the rest later, don’t bother texting me. We’re done here.”
You let out a sob of relief, anger, and sadness as you stepped into the elevator wiping your face before the doors opened again.
You felt like you couldn’t control your fingers as you texted Peter, asking him to join you at the coffee shop you had met the previous hour.
Of course, Peter accepted and arrived there in a hurry, waiting for you at the usual table.
Peter shuffled in his spot as he wondered why you wanted to meet him so suddenly, especially after what had happened. He turned his head towards the door as he heard the familiar bells ring. He saw you, a bag on your shoulder and puffy red eyes. His face twisted as he wondered what could have possibly happened to you.
All the worries about your previous conversation had drifted away as he saw you like this. As you got closer he stood up, wanting to comfort you, not caring if you weren’t his anymore.
“What happened.” He asked as you stopped right in front of him, not saying a word. You dropped your bag on the floor next to him and shifted your stare from his lips to his eyes. Without even thinking you closed the gap between your two bodies, crashing your lips to his.
Peter’s eyes lit up in surprise before he let himself melt Into the kiss, snaking his hands around your waist slightly picking you up. He let out a sigh of relief as he realized how much he missed you.
You let your hand come up to his hair, missing the feel of his soft curls in your fingers. Your other hand came up to his cheek, the warmth of it bringing a sudden comfort. You slightly pulled away and let out a soft chuckle before bringing your lips back to his.
“I’ve missed this.” You chuckled your lips still against his before resting your forehead against his.
“Me too.”

Author’s Note: On AO3 there was a fic called The Ladies Love a Man Who’s Good with Kids. This is the remix. I love that [CompulsiveBowlers] used Rafa’s daughter’s name from a fic I previously wrote. Then one day it disappeared. So I decided to write a version inspired :) This fic brings the petty! I hope that you love it. The largest slice of triple decker fluffy and cute with petty syrup drizzle. Okay time to read, love you byeeee :)

When you got to the resort, you knew you'd need a relaxing massage or some peace and quiet🤫. You were on your way to a Disney World adventure to celebrate your son Daron who was turning three. You and your husband spent most of the morning and the night before packing suitcases and making sure both of your little ones had their plush animals. The morning went smoothly except for one little mishap with your independent daughter Lydia getting tangled in her shirt.
Somehow you got the kids in their shoes and in their car seats on schedule. A miracle really. Except you couldn't have your morning tea. It sat abandoned on the marble countertop. Rafael did a last sweep through the house for anything you might need then locked the doors. He had left it behind because he knew you wouldn't finish it before you arrived at the security checkpoint.
As Rafa drove to the airport, you watched for your babies in the rearview mirror. Lydia was napping as usual and Daron was mischievously quiet. You thought Lydia's nap wouldn't last long.
Arriving to the airport terminal, you put down your purse, and Rafa set Lydia down to continue sleeping on a bench. Sweet littleDaron wriggled out of your grasp, and started waddling around. He looked out the large windows and told everyone he was a "big boy."
Rafa laughed and picked him up kissing his forehead. He whispered, "big boys sit and watch YouTube. And have some juice." He reached into his backpack, and came up empty handed. Then he turned with a frown, and mouthed at you. No snacks?
You checked your bag, and mirrored his look, "guess not."
Daron was so into the brightly colored characters that he forgot about his father's promise. Lydia, who had resumed her nap squirmed and snuggled into her father's lap. You took that as a sign.
"Honey, I'm gonna take a walk." Standing up you grabbed your purse and made a mental note of where your family sat.
He took your hand and rubbed it. "Rest first, I've got it." He maneuvered the small girl until she was laying down comfortably. Then he stood up.
You sighed and stretched before sitting back down with your kids, covering up with your sweater and taking a little nap. Rafa walked away towards a kiosk. He returned in record time with his hands full with bags of snacks, hot beverages for two, and a woman's lingering gaze.
"Do you need anything else?" you heard her say. Then you blinked to clear your vision when you realized she was holding one of the bags. You sat there covered by your sweater watching what she planned to do.
"There you go, sugar," she fluttered her lashes and grazed his back.
“Are these your little siblings?”
Rafa smiled and took the bag from her. She stayed and incessantly prattled on, not so subtly trying to figure out if he was single. He was just trying to feed his kids. You watched the drama unfold. Rafa unwrapped Lydia's bagel while the woman had the nerve to prepare the juice boxes. She patted your son on the head.
Under his breath, he muttered, “Damn, lady keep it moving.”
Rafa quickly retrieved the boxes from her hands and cursed under his breath. It was far too early for this. He silently willed you to wake up from your nap. Your husband had no idea that you were watching the whole exchange.
Rafa exhaled softly and coolly replied, "We're good now. Make sure you don't miss your flight."
She scoffed playfully, "I have plenty of time. Just want to make sure you're settled. I don't want you to be all alone with these lovely kiddos."
Her voice was sickeningly ignorant and you wanted to gag. You tugged the woven fabric of your sweatshirt between your teeth to keep yourself from laughing. You poked your head out and waved at her. Then you rested the palm of your hand against his hip, bunching the hem of his red t-shirt between your fingers and flashing a sparkling gemstone against your coffee brown skin.
"Oh, I didn't know you had help."
You rolled your eyes. The woman's eyes narrowed, staring daggers as she backed away until you couldn't see anymore than her fluttering lashes. Her pink neon sneakers squeaked as she tried to leave quietly. She turned around with an unfortunate look on her face to see you kiss him full and he spun you around to face the views beyond the tarmac, and brought his arms tight around your waist. He leaned in and whispered in your ear, “hey, hey, take it easy. She’s no threat to you, love.”
You looked up at him with innocent eyes, saw that she was still watching, and raised your voice a little. “I don’t know what you mean. Can’t I kiss my husband indecently in a public place?”
Rafa grinned at you, but remained oblivious as he pressed a kiss to your forehead.
“Sure,” he countered and stepped back. When you sat down, he handed you a hot cup of tea. Beaming up at him, you savored the smell.
Rafael finally sat down and put his arm around you. Looking up you saw the woman walking back down the corridor. You snuggled in to his arm, awake now, eyes bright with laughter, "What did you mean by don't miss your flight? She's not going to Disney?"
You did a sidesweep on the blond next to you, waiting for his answer,  and checking him out for the first time that day. Rafa appreciated your gaze. He looked a little tired, but bright and ready for the trip in a red t-shirt, track pants, and sneakers. In a grey hoodie, he was also cozy.
"No, he exhaled, “her girlfriends sent her over to shoot her shot. The only kiosk open was all the way at Gate 27."
You remembered seeing Gate 27 listed for somewhere in Mexico. You smiled wryly staring at the bright LED sign for Gate 5. She would have to be on her worst behavior.
You laughed for the first time since the encounter.
"She comes all the way to gate five to find a happy family, not her new fling." Rafa grinned wide.
Daron climbed onto your lap and you held him close, kissing his head. "One last question, you let her follow you the way down here?"
"Hah! I let her pay too- And that means she just lost a grip on airport food. And I got more to spend on you and the kids.”
Tilting the coffee cup in cheers you quipped, "That'll teach her to go after someone else's man."
Rafa laughed and downed the rest of his coffee.

something there—chapter one
Tumblr media
summary: the reader is a part of a great prophecy revealed to geralt and jaskier by an unnamed witch.  the only problem?  well, see, there’s multiple.  she doesn’t believe that it’s her, and she lives in 2020.
pairing: hinted jaskier x geralt, nothing really more than that, future jaskier x reader x geralt
word count: 1.7k words
warnings: mmmmm cussing.  like i probs dropped the f-bomb five times in one sentence.  female reader.  other than that, nothing.
author’s notes: i legit got this idea while driving home after work and it took me forever to figure out what i want to do with this (at least with the first chapter).  i hope to continue this, but i’m not sure how often i’ll be able to pump out parts for this.  i am super excited for this tho.  i cannot tell you how many geralt and jaskier stories i have read....... and we are not going to discuss this here.  i hope you all enjoy!!!  also i’m trying out a different format for my posts?  summary + little snippet of story if it’s a longer one?  and then the pushed out part uh
"Aren't prophecies supposed to rhyme?"
The witch looked at Geralt with an exasperated expression, before she cleared her throat.  "The two of you," she said, looking at both the Witcher and the bard, "need to find a girl with a profound knowledge in music and storytelling. A virgin maiden from lands far, far away, with a heart big enough for two others."
Jaskier looked towards Geralt, a confused look spread across his face.
"She will help you find what it is you're looking for," she said, pointing towards the Witcher as she spoke.  "When you wake, the two of you will be teleported to her lands.  Her heart is pure enough to help you with your journey.  Her soul as pure as the driven snow.  You will have two weeks to convince her to travel back with you, and you will be able to continue with your own travels.  Or, you will be stuck in her lands until someone from our world goes searching for the lost Witcher and his bard."
"Woah, woah, woah," Jaskier held up his hands, frowning deeply at the woman.  "Teleported?  Her world—pardon?"
The witch just smiled at him.  In just a moment's time, she disappeared from in front of the two and Jaskier and Geralt were left, stewing in the prophecy she left them with.
[]
[Your name] woke to the soft chirping of birds coming from the outside of her window.  She slowly peeled her eyes open, groaning softly.  She had stayed up until five in the morning, once again, working on a never-ending project.  It was only ten in the morning, but she had to be awake so she could call her boss and figure out what it is that she needed to do next.  The woman slowly got out of bed and placed her feet on the bed.  However, she took one step forward and she went tumbling to the floor after tripping over someone.
"What the—"
[Your name] quickly turned around and her eyes grew wide at the sight of a man lying in her floor.  He had quickly sat up, knocking his head against her bedside table.  With a groan, he put a hand to his forehead, looking around.  His face grew pale.  "What—"
"Who the fuck are you?" [Your name] quickly asked, scrambling to her feet.  She took a couple of steps back, her heart pounding in her chest.
The man's eyes widened as he looked over at the woman.  She began to notice how he was dressed—it reminded her of the old historical dramas she used to watch every Sunday with her grandmother.
"Who the fuck are you?" [Your name] repeated.
"Jaskier..."
"Okay, Jaskier, why the fuck are you in my bedroom?"
He let out a curt laugh and he leaned himself up against her bed.  "How the hell am I supposed—" he stopped himself, hurriedly getting to his feet.  "Geralt?!"
"What?" [Your name] paled.  There was another man in her apartment?  Not to mention, her quite run down apartment?
White hair became visible in her line of vision and she quickly backed up to her wall.  "What the fuck?" she breathed out.  "Who the fuck are you?  How did you get in my house?  Where's my fucking phone?"
[Your name] quickly rushed to her bedside table, grabbing it off of the charger.  She went to dial 911, only to discover that her phone was completely shut off.  The black screen never lit up.  She looked towards the men, trembling.
The white haired man, known as Geralt, began to frown.  "We need to talk to you."
"How the fuck did you get in my house?" Geralt frowned even more.  "A witch."
[Your name] blinked a couple of times.  "Excuse me?  Are you fucking dumb?"
Jaskier snorted under his breath as he looked over at the Witcher.
"No.  I'm not.  We need to talk to you."
[Your name] looked back down on her phone, just to make sure it wasn't just lagging.  It was an old phone, and sometimes, it would do that.  She clenched her jaw and closed her eyes.  She had nothing anymore—no family, a crappy apartment, and an especially crappy job that she was constantly pulling all-nighters for.  [Your name]'s gaze switched from Jaskier to Geralt before she gave a small nod.
"I... fine," [Your name] said, swallowing thickly.  "Fine.  But," she looked down at her clothes and blushed even more.  "Get out of my room.  I need to at least change my clothes—"
"—that's what you're calling that?" Jaskier smirked at her.
Her eyes widened and she nearly shoved his arm.  "Get out."
Geralt had already left, and Jaskier couldn't help but let out a soft laugh.  He left the room.  [Your name] quickly shut the door and pressed her back up against the wood.  Her heart throbbed in her ears and throughout her body.  Surely, she was just hallucinating and having a heart attack.  A stroke, maybe.  Could it have been a manic episode?
[Your name] went over to her clothes and quickly pulled out a pair of jeans and an over sized hoodie.  She combed out her hair and ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth before she came out into the hallway.  The men weren't there.  Perhaps it truly was just a bad dream.  She frowned and walked out to her living room/dining room/kitchen—three in one.  She saw the two sitting at the table.  Jaskier had quickly pulled his hand away from Geralt's, who just pulled his hand closer to his body rather than completely pull it off the table.  [Your name] blushed and went towards her kitchen.
"Do you... do you guys want anything?"
"Being hospitable now, are we?" Jaskier sent her a smile.
"You're both sitting at my dining room table.  Why wouldn't I?"
Jaskier rose his eyebrow, but he didn't say anything else.
While she made a pot of coffee, he curiously watched her while Geralt looked around her small home.  He had quite a few comments to make, but his face would never show it.  [Your name] poured herself a cup of coffee and made it just how she liked before she hesitantly came over and sat down across from the two.  She cleared her throat, her finger tips gently tapping at the warmed mug before she spoke.
"Who are the two of you?"
"Geralt of Rivia.  This is Jaskier."
She rose an eyebrow, slightly nodding.  "My name is [Your name]."
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Jaskier grinned, "[Your name].
"Wish I could say the same," she meekly grinned.  "Can you please tell me how you got in my apartment?"
"Like I said," Geralt cleared his throat.  His voice was deep—part of [Your name] wanted to melt at the sound.  "A witch sent us."
[Your name] fought the urge to roll her eyes, but this did not go unnoticed by the Witcher.  He kept his eyes on her, quiet as he did so.
"A witch sent you.  To my cheap ass apartment.  Likely story."
"He's not lying," Jaskier said.  "He's telling nothing but the truth."
"Yeah?"  This time, she did roll her eyes.  "Prove it."
"Our clothes are not enough?" Geralt asked.  "You are not from the lands we hail from.."
[Your name] looked at their clothes once more.  She had noticed Jaskier's earlier, but the more she looked, she realized how old fashioned they looked—how worn they seemed.  [Your name] crossed her arms over her chest.  She hesitantly looked towards Geralt and gave a small nod.
"Alright.  I'm listening."
Geralt looked towards Jaskier.  Jaskier returned his gaze and he pursed his lips.
"Are you going to tell her?"
Geralt huffed softly.  "Yes.  This witch.  We went to her for guidance.  We've been looking for a way to defeat..." he stopped for a moment, looking at Jaskier again.  "To defeat an enemy for some time.  She sent us... here, with a prophecy."
"And?"
Geralt looked at her.
"What's the prophecy?" she asked, sipping at her mug of coffee.  The steam rose and warmed her chilled face.  Only now did she realize how cold it had gotten in her apartment.  Her heating bill must have failed again.  She cleared her throat, looking at Geralt again.  "Well?"
He frowned.  "A virgin—" Just with that, [Your name] choked on her coffee and she began to blush.  "What?"
This caused a small smirk to form on Geralt's face.  Jaskier saw this and he couldn't help from his smile forming.
"We are to convince a virgin maiden from lands far away to come back with us to defeat our enemy." he said.  They are profound in music and storytelling."
"Definitely not me," [Your name] blushed.  I'm not profound in anything."
"Ah, so you are a virgin?" Jaskier grinned over at her.
[Your name] just shot him a look as her blush darkened.  "What else?" she asked, looking back at Geralt.
"They are to have a heart big enough for two others...  I am still not quite sure what that refers to.  Her heart is pure enough to help us." the Witcher spoke.  He looked towards Jaskier once more.
Something just told [Your name] that there was something going on between the two—the looks they continued to share made her heart melt in a good way.  Every look was filled with love—one that she wasn't familiar with, but one that she would love to learn to expect from someone.
"We have two weeks to convince her to travel back with us.  Her soul is said to be as pure as the driven snow."
"Alright, alright, but," [Your name] sat her mug down, stuffing her hands in her sweatshirt pocket to keep them warm.  "What does this have to do with me and my apartment?"
"Perhaps you are the one to help us find her," Jaskier said.
Geralt nodded.  "That is what I have come to understand."
[Your name] tilted her head back as she thought, taking in a deep breath.  "Right.  So.  Two totally hot men show up in my house and tell me I'm supposed to help them with some damned prophecy?" [Your name] looked straight at Jaskier.  "Are you sure I'm not having a stroke?"
He stared at you for a moment before he grinned.  "Hot?  Is there a reason to refer to us as hot?"
[Your name] eyes widened a bit and she shook her head.  "Just ignore that I said that.  You don't know what it means, do you?  God," she groaned softly and squeezed her eyes shut.  Clenching her jaw, she spoke one last time before grabbing her coffee mug.  "Fine.  What is it you need me to do?"

Sweet by Cigarettes after Sex - Sakusa Kiyoomi
Tumblr media
🌱This is another scenario based song fic😌 let me know what you think, please! I think I peaked with that Yachi drabble lmao. This is for a request that was sent to @sunalma ,but fit under my prompt so she sent it on over to me :)
Tumblr media
“Watching the video that you sent me
The one where you're showering with wet hair dripping
You know that I'm obsessed with your body
But it's the way you smile that does it for me”
You were sat on the rooftop of your home, the chilly night shingles and wind nipping at your uncovered face. You only wore the hoodie Omi had given you, knowing you’d get cold at the most random times, and a pair of your own old joggers.
With your feet dangling off, you sat close to the edge, you had only one earbud in at the time, and were peacefully humming to the tune you’d been playing basically on repeat the past few days. It was from the playlist you’d made many months ago for when you weren’t feeling well, and with the gray blue and purples clouding the early night sky, you thought it was quite fitting.
“It's so sweet, knowing that you love me
Though we don't need to say it to each other, sweet
Knowing that I love you, and running my fingers through your hair
It's so sweet”
You came up here to get some fresh air, the open window beneath you allowing the bitter wind to seep into your bedroom. You hadn’t been feeling well, and you weren’t sure whether it was just an off day or what.
You knew your sweet boyfriend Omi had been worried about you all day, he had practice so he wasn’t able to spend as much time with you as either of you would’ve liked, but he texted you every chance he could to ask how you were doing and to make sure you’d been taking care of yourself until he got home, he knew you had a habit of neglecting your needs when you felt bad. He felt guilty for leaving this morning, all the more reason why he caught himself cursing under his breath when he fumbled with his keys to open your shared front door.
He opened the door expecting to be hit with a wave of warmth from the house, but once he realized it was only slightly colder outside than it was indoors, he knew exactly where you’d run off too.
He always knew you preferred the rooftop when you weren’t doing well. You had mentioned many times that you liked the scenery up there; the lights from the city, the different vivid colors swirling within the sky and clouds, and the ambient sounds from your street- like the neighborhood cats pestering one another about their territory. Truth be told, he didn’t mind joining you up there, he could agree with you that it was rather peaceful and he certainly didn’t mind being in your company when you two escaped to your little space away from normal life.
He desperately wanted to bask in a hot shower after such a long day of practice, but he wanted nothing more than to make sure you were doing okay before you both turned the lights out for the night.
He made his way to your shared bedroom, only reaffirming the answer to his mental question as to why the house was so cold moments ago once he saw the open window. It felt routine at this point, as odd as it sounded, to climb through that window and up onto the roof. The first few times you asked him to join you, he was put off by the offer, and usually gave you snarky comment about how filthy it was, but he slowly began to join you more and more, to the point where it felt normal now. He still didn’t enjoy the filth, though.
“Watching the video where you're lying
In your red lingerie ten times nightly
You know I think your skin's the perfect color
But it's always your eyes that pull me under”
He peered over the edge of the shingles at your laying form, eyes closed and hair gently blowing onto your soft cheeks. He could tell you were cold from the goosebumps that covered your body, so he made a mental note to keep the house extra cozy tonight.
You hadn’t heard him climb up next to you, until you felt his fingertips gently ghost over your cheek and brushing your hair away. You would’ve been alarmed, had you not immediately recognized the gesture; Omi was always so gentle when touching you in any way, like you could break into shattered glass if he wasn’t careful.
You opened your eyes slowly to see a small smile on your longtime boyfriends face, though you could easily pick up on the hints of exhaustion and concern beneath his dark eyes. Reaching up to grasp his proportionally much larger hand, you lay it gently flush against your cheek, basking in the warmth of his skin as you nuzzled further into his touch. He couldn’t help but smile wider at your gesture.
After getting comfortable, sitting up next to one another, your head laid casually on his shoulder and his arm around you, you two spent what felt like forever talking. About his day, your day, how you were both feeling, and otherwise. You could feel your heart swell and sink simultaneously at his worry for you, you wanted nothing more than to bring a smile to his face, but you greatly appreciated all the love and care he had for you. He pet your hair lightly as you continued to rant, offering his occasional two cents of advice.
It was comforting, and you found yourself slowly feeling better as he continued to spend time with you. About the time he saw your eyes drifting closed again, he decided to bring you in.
“It's so sweet, knowing that you love me
Though we don't need to say it to each other, sweet
Knowing that I love you, and running my fingers through your hair
It's so sweet”
After helping you back into your bedroom, he quickly went to turn up the thermostat to heat the now icy indoor air. You felt a large pair of arms wrap around your waist, pulling you as close as possible to his chest. He nuzzled into your shoulder, mumbling about throwing the towels in the dryer to be warm for you once you got done showering. You hadn’t noticed he slipped into the bathroom behind you to prepare it for you, but you felt woozy with appreciation and adoration at that moment. Peppering his face lightly with your kisses of approval as payment, you both found yourselves smiling wide at the other after pulling apart.
After a steamy shower, you felt newer, and the warmth of the previously mentioned towels definitely helped in improving your mood. Omi had run off to the guest bathroom to clean up himself in the meantime, wanting to give you space if you needed any, and using it as an excuse to prepare a few more surprises for you, as he always knew you took longer showers than he did.
He had taken the time to bring a few extra blankets into your bedroom, along with your favorite comfort movies and some of those snacks he’d picked up on the way home that he knew you loved, you always said they were your favorite but he knew that changed basically each week.
He laid out some pajamas for you, including one of his own sweatshirts, the same one you said was your favorite on him so he wore it more often from that point forward.
The house had begun to warm up, and he padded his way to the kitchen to make you some hot tea, figuring you’d spent quite a bit of time in the chilly air outside even before you’d spent an hour up there with him.
“And I will gladly break it
I will gladly break my heart for you
And I will gladly break it
I will gladly break my heart for you
And I will gladly break it
I will gladly break my heart for you
And I will gladly break it
I will gladly break my heart for you
It's so sweet, knowing that you love me
Though we don't need to say it to each other, sweet
Knowing that I love you, and running my fingers through your hair
It's so sweet”
After bringing back the tea to set on your side of the beds nightstand, the steam from the open bathroom door and missing clothes he’d laid out for you gave it away that you’d finished your shower. Once you emerged, he couldn’t help but think about how much cuter that sweatshirt looked on you than he ever thought it did on him, but he wouldn’t tell you that now. You smiled at the sweet gestures your boyfriend had done for you, even after such a long day of intense practice. He really never failed to bring a smile to your face, and this was no different.
Bringing him into your tight embrace and falling back onto the bed, his head resting on your chest and muscular arms wrapped around your torso, your arms around his neck and shoulders, you let out a sigh and a sweet hum. His weight on top of yours was comforting, and his black curls smelled nicely of his shampoo. He nuzzled further into your touch, mumbling a question you didn’t really catch about having an impromptu movie night and if you’d like a massage, also letting you know he’d be around the house all day tomorrow, he’d texted the teams groupchat to let them know he would be missing practice. You smiled wide at his words, excited to spend a full day with the man you loved so much.
Some people would consider Sakusa Kiyoomi a cold person, one who wasn’t fond of people nor someone who could be very affectionate. But in that moment, you knew more than ever how wrong they were.

“c’mon, koushi, show a lil’ more encouragement, yeah?” you squealed, falling back in the couch as you let your hands raise above your head. you were blissed out, so high on adrenaline and giddiness and that you didn’t see the regret that filled sugawara’s golden eyes.
he needed to just stop feeling. just for one moment.
“what’s his name again?” koushi asked, making you sit up straight immediately to regain your composure.
“gimme a sec.” you typed away on your phone, well aware of sugawara’s gaze over your shoulder. his breath was right next to your ear, sending shivers up and down your spine. you pushed away the feeling almost immediately; you had a date. you had a date with someone who liked you back.
“aha!” you handed him your phone shamelessly, smile never leaving your face as you awaited his response.
you could tell that he was reading him. it was a simple picture, one of him with an endearing smile towards whoever was in front of him. he wore a simple black turtleneck and a beige coat— he had good style. his black hair was ruffled and messy, nothing like the perfection around him. he looked like he fell right out of a drama series.
of course, he fell for you. you looked like you fell from heaven itself; you were both made for each other.
“akaashi keiji,” you announced, his name falling from your lips like a wish. “so? what do you think?” you were asking him for his opinion as if akaashi was a wonderful and spontaneous idea that you wanted your dear old friend to hear about. you were looking at him expectingly, eyes glimmering with hope— hope for what? for koushi to like him? for him to say, ‘that’s wonderful y/n, you’ll be happy with him, and he’ll treat you well.’
“i,” sugawara’s words died in his throat, and he was suddenly aware of how dry his throat felt. he struggled for words, the confidence he once held when speaking to others now replaced by utter panic and embarrassment. his mind was racing, rummaging and searching in the depths of his brain in a scramble to find some words that would save the poor boy from his pain. “i don’t like him.” and just like that, the words were spat out before koushi could grab them again.
like a dying flower, the light and excitement in your eyes faded into nothing as you blinked.
once. twice. three times.
“you... you don’t?” you stuttered, disbelief within your tone as you stared at him. your face was unreadable, the happiness and giddiness from before now murky within the black of your eyes.
“i didn’t mean it like that!” panic. pure and utter panic raced through his body like an electrical shock. “i just—“
“why’re you freaking out?” similarly to how a falling leaf would gently touch the water’s surface, the faintest of smiles graced your face. your hand reached out to koushi and found its solace on his shoulder. there it perched and stayed, sending waves of warmth and comfort to his rigid body.
“what do you mean?” koushi forced past the bile he suddenly felt like vomiting, his golden eyes suddenly set on his lap as if it was the most interesting item known to man.
“kou,” you began, thumbing at the pale beige of his sweater, eyes deep in thought, “your opinion matters to me. no matter the answer, i wouldn’t mind. because it’s you.”
god, koushi wished you had said those last words under different circumstances. his heart ached as he looked at you, the warmth of your eyes so inviting that he would fall in over and over again if he could.
maybe he had fallen. maybe he had done it more than once and ran back for more. he would run back to you a thousand times if he could.
maybe that was the dangerous part of you. no matter how welcoming, how caring, or how patient you have been to everyone, you were always able to get them wrapped around your finger and hanging off your every words. but you never knew that yourself. if you did, you’d stop speaking all together; you’d never accept it.
“so stop worrying!” you chuckled, allowing your hand to fall from its place at his shoulder. your head replaced it, gentle and affectionate as you stared at the movie that was playing out on the t.v in from tof both of you.
sugawara nodded numbly. “i’ll stop,” he said, and he could only hope that he’d keep his promise.
“y/n, you might fall!”
sugawara felt like he was going to lose his head. seeing you standing on a thick branch of a tree that felt like it stretched up to the sky for miles. this was it— he’d die from worry at the ripe age of nine. right before his double digit birthday!
he could see it now: sugawara koushi, wonderful and caring son, dead at the age of nine alongside his best friend, l/n y/n, who also caused his death.
“c’mon, koushi!” you jumped on the tree branch, and as it bent, another spark of wordy coursed through him. “be brave! be strong!” you encouraged, putting on a mighty voice as you placed a hand on your hip and looked out into the horizon.
“you don’t know what’s up there! like snakes and spiders and — oh my god, ew, spiders!” sugawara babbled, propping his colorful backpack against the tree. helplessly, he looked up at you; wind blowing through your hair, expression much too serious for an 8 year old, with your hand on your hip as if you were posing.
“suga, listen!” the heroic pose you were once in broke as you stared down at your worrisome friend. all form of intimidation and determination died when you saw the amount of worry sugawara actually had; his hands were twiddling together, his eyes were aide, and his bottom lip was quivering ever so slightly. you swallowed. “the world is full of the unknown. everything is unknown until you make it known.” you paused before tilting your head as you gazed down at him. “does that make sense?”
sugawara could only nod. your words echoed in his head like a mantra, and he pulled the sleeves of his hoodie up as he readied himself.
“i’m ready— pull me up!”
you twirled once for him, allowing your white skirt to lift up along with the wind.
the pleated skirt you wore showcased your legs perfectly, and the oversized blue college sweatshirt you wore was perfectly oversized on your body. under the sweatshirt was a white button up that peaked through the crew neck of the sweater. your makeup was different — did you add a tad more blush than usual? — but you looked as beautiful as ever.
“do you think this is good? we’re just meeting somewhere but still—“
“you’re beautiful.” his words slipped out, his tone nothing but serious and sincere as he looked at you.
you smiled at him, the flash of your pearly whites like a ray of sunshine. sugawara found himself smiling back, much too focused in forcing a facade to notice the sudden waver in your grin. his smile was like a rainbow on a sunny day; beautiful enough to catch everyone’s eye and mystical enough to bring a sense of excitement into your veins for a moment.
how odd.
“shit! i need to hurry!” you checked the time before swinging your white tote bag over your shoulder and hastily packing your items inside. you pulled out a drawer from your living room table, taking out an obnoxiously long roll of condoms that you struggled to control.
“how many rounds are you planning for tonight?” sugawara couldn’t help but tease (though it made his heart wrench), making you roll your eyes and stick your tongue out. you stuffed a few of them into your purse, blind to the way he looked at you longingly.
you pulled your shoes on, trying to calm yourself. you looked at yourself once more in your nearby mirror, offering yourself a nervous smile before turning to sugawara.
his mind seemed elsewhere, his eyes still set on you and your body practically sparkling with nervousness. yet he still gave you a beaming smile and a (half hearted) thumbs up that calmed your anxiousness almost instantaneously.
“make sure to lock up when you leave!” you sent him one last grin as you opened the door. the door slammed behind you, leaving only a shadow of where you once stood.
koushi continued to stare at the white of the door.
his last days in karasuno. sugawara could barely keep himself together; he was sure that he was crying and slobbering all over his friends when he was saying his goodbyes in the gym.
well, it wasn’t his fault. he was leaving— he had all the right in the world to slobber on them.
he needed to catch his train. he gave his team one last smile as they listened to daichi scold them all for being so, so, so stupid during their last year and how he still loved them all the same (asahi, tanaka, and noya were having a hard time keeping themselves together because of their retiring captain). sugawara stood next to him, taking in the comforting sight of his team.
“koushi!”
your scream, loud and out of breath, made sugawara freeze.
you were standing behind him, pure rage and sadness brewing in your eyes like a hurricane. yachi stood next to you, practically cowering under your presence, and sugawara knew you asked the blond for his whereabouts.
he had planned on saying goodbye at your house.
sugawara wanted to say something. he wanted to tell you that he’d say good bye in privacy, without the wandering eyes of his team and the knowing eyes of daichi, who knew completely of his feelings towards you. but he said nothing, for you had taken his breath away when you swiftly ran up to him and hugged him from behind.
your arms wrapped around his torso, your face pressed to his back as you held onto him like a koala. “i’d hit you if you weren’t leaving,” you said, words muffled against his shirt.
“just do it anyway!” tsukishima commented in the background withh a snort.
the snickers of the first and second years were drowned out by sugawara’s rapidly beating heart, the feeling of you being so close bringing butterflies — hell, not even butterflies, a whole tornado — to his stomach. he carefully turned to face you, and you took a step back, your eyes glassy with wet tears.
the simple sight of it made his own vision blurry, and the both of you said nothing as you finally met in the middle. your arms wrapped around each other, years upon years of friendship now teetering and being threatened with distance. the rest of the world faded to black, and in that moment, it was only the two of you.
“visit. call. text. send me letters— do whatever the hell you need to do just please, please keep contact.” you were both teary faced messes, that much was obvious, but the idea that your life long best friend was leaving was too much to bear. you didn’t want him to go; what would you do without koushi?
koushi asked himself the same thing about you. what would he do without you?
two weeks and three days.
that was how long it had been since you had gone out on a date with akashi keiji. you hadn’t gone out with him since— not for any bad reason, though.
“you and koushi?”
“what about us?” you laughed, finger playing along the rim of your glass. but when you saw that he didn’t laugh along with you, you frowned.
you were friends before akaashi had asked you out. you knew that he was deep in his thoughts; his brows were knit together, and a frown twitched at the side of his lips. “akaashi. what about us?”
“you like him, don’t you?”
you wanted to forget about his words. you didn’t want to hear anything about your ‘feelings’ for koushi— they didn’t exist. your feelings for him were never there.
you were reminding yourself of that fact even as you got shit faced drunk with him right by your side.
shitty boxed wine was laid out everywhere while you sipped a bottle of champagne, pretending not to see koushi’s pout as you finished half the bottle. lazily, you smiled at him.
“it’s good.”
“yeah, no shit,” suga snorted, reaching his out and making his fingers make grabby hands. you pulled it away from him with a musical laugh, one that made his already flushed cheeks bloom a deeper red. again, he pouted, his bottom lip jutting out. “y/n,” he drawled, reaching out again only to have you move it out of his way.
“koushi,” you mocked, sticking your tongue out as if you were a child. he was adorable like this.
“no. i don’t want to talk about this.” you laughed in disbelief as you looked down. how could he make such an accusation? how could akaashi just blurt it out out of nowhere as if you hadn’t agreed to go out with him when he asked? he had no right.
he had no right asking when he knew the answer.
akaashi looked at you, a ghost of a pained smile on his lips. of course, he was hurt. how could he not? he had pined for you since he first saw you, and sugawara...
sugawara had you and he didn’t even know.
he wasn’t selfish. akaashi keiji was not selfish in the slightest, and maybe that was why he was doing this for your happiness. he was doing it because he knew it was right.
even if he was going to be hurt in the process.
“you look at him like he’s your morning cup of coffee,” akaashi said softly. “your eyes light up and this beautiful smile dawns over your face,” he swallowed thickly. “the sight of him makes you happy. he makes you happy.”
you peered up at him, a sorrowful smile blessing your features. yet again, akaashi cursed his heart for beating so quickly upon the sight.
akaashi keiji was not selfish in the slightest.
“i’m sorry, akaashi.”
he was a selfless person who could care less for himself.
“i am too, y/n.”
that was why he was letting you go.
“i will commit a crime to end up on national news,” sugawara threatened with the most serious face he could muster, his hand still outstretched towards you expectingly.
“sangwoo much?” you retorted with a laugh, one that made sugawara join you. in that second of vulnerability, koushi surged forward and practically tackled you, his hand ready to meet the bottle.
instead, he ended up pinning you down onto the couch with himself on top of you. the champagne was long gone and rolling and spilling all over your hardwood floor, but you couldn’t care less.
“suga, the champagne!” you whined out drunkenly, completely unaware of the lack of space between you both.
sugawara’s hand was on one side of your head, which was keeping his body from smushing you. his grey hair, which he had chosen to grow out just a bit, tickled the top of your nose as he hovered over you. his other hand, the one that was supposed to grab the champagne, found its place on the other side of your head.
your laughter soon died out when you felt his breath fanning over your face. your heart was beating hard enough to make a mark on your chest.
your hand came up to touch one side of his face, your thumb stroking his cheek softly. koushi leaned into your touch, his eyes full of adoration as he looked down at you.
you leaned up just as he leaned down, and your lips found themselves in the middle.
he tasted like shitty boxed alcohol and smelled like vanilla. you could feel his hair brush over your forehead as you leaned up to meet his lips better. koushi was intoxicating, and his scent and taste filled your senses as you kissed him.
the champagne still lingered on your tongue, and koushi could taste it as your tongues swiped over each other with each kiss. he felt himself pour all his years of unspoken love in the kiss. more than a decade of yearning for someone who was so close but so far finally paid off.
koushi pulled away from you as he took a deep breath of air. he couldn’t help the contagious smile he had on his face, one that you returned instantly.
“i love you,” you murmured, your thumb brushing over his beauty mark.
dramatically, sugawara gasped. “say sike right now, no way.”
“kou,” you groaned, using your hand to playfully flick at his nose.
loudly, sugawara laughed. he felt his cheeks ache and his heart flutter as he did, the relief finally hitting him as well as the realization that holy shit, you loved him back.
“i’m sorry, i’m sorry.” he leaned back in, making your noses poke each other as he pecked your lips one last time.
“i love you too. more than you’ll ever know.”

HC s/o with an ED and Self harms
Yamaguchi
alright ... so ....... you stayed over at his the night
You two made dinner and it was all prefect
You quickly went to the bathroom afterwards tho
Then you came back and helped him cleaning up the dishes
He was joking around and you laugh and push up your sleeves and start cleaning
Yams suddenly stops laughing and just stares at you
“Yams? what's -” you stop and realise what you just did
Today was such a good day, you totally forgot about your breakdown last night, after failing to do any of the things you were supposed to do that day and stepping on the scale realising you gained weight.
“ I- I - can... Can we just forget you saw this?” you stutter and pull down your selves again
Obviously he won't just forget it
he gently takes one of your hands and leads you to the living room and sits down on the couch with you
“Why?” he whispers
you just stare at him, unsure if you can tell him the real reason
after a few minutes of silence you begin to talk
you tell him everything
the second you start talking you can’t stop
the words spill out of your mouth, happy that you can finally get all those toxic thoughts out of your head
Tears start streaming down your face while you tell him you’re feeling not good enough, like a failure, like you're trying to loose weight and developed an ed, yet you’re still to stupid to loose any weight etc so you just feel like you have to ... like punish yourself?
Yams listens to you carefully and with every word his eyes get more and more glassy
after you finished talking, he pulls you into the tightest hug ever
“baby... why haven't you told me, I'm always here for you, you shouldn't deal with all of this alone”
sooo you stay in this position for a little longer, you both trying to calm down and stop crying
“Now... let me tell you - I will keep on telling you this over and over again, every single day of my life if I have to - you are enough, you are perfect in my eyes, you don’t have to loose any weight, but if you want to, then do it in a healthy way... I willing to help you in any way possible.” He takes your hands and moves them up to his face, kissing your knuckles
the rest of the night, you cuddle, him trying to confound every toxic thought you have
he also gifts you a soft hair tie and makes you promise him, that you would use this, instead of hurting yourself
his phone is also from now on not silent anymore in case you need someone to talk to at night
the next weeks, he’s getting up earlier, making you some healthy, low calorie lunch so you don’t have to feel pressured to eat in the cafeteria and feel the need to throw up again afterwards. He’ll also tries to increase the cals, every other week.
Tumblr media
Oikawa
He probably realises that something is up, the second his stupid ass walks into the bathroom when you just got out of the shower
It’s winter so you always wore sweatshirts and those cute wide leg pants
also you haven't been feeling good the past weeks, so there wasn't really a chance for Oikawa to see you in tight clothing or well ... no clothing at all.
so when he saw you for this small second just now, his heart drops
he just stands there shocked, tears already running down his face, not moving a muscle
“Y/N...  I - since when - Why - I- “ he stutters not able to find the right words
You stood still, towel in your hands, shocked expression on your face
this is like your worst nightmare, he shouldn't see this, at least not now, not like this
“Tooru, I can explain...” you stutter and look down at the ground
“If you don’t want to, you don’t have to ... I just.. can I hold you?” He whispers in between small snobs
you nod and he takes a set forward, carefully placing his arms around you, now afraid he could hurt you or break you
He doesn't feel your soft curves anymore, his fingers are now met with the little bumps of your rips
You hide your face in his neck and start crying
the snobs make your body shake, which made him feel your bones move under his hands - which results in him crying even more
“You’re just so perfect and I'm just me... all those beautiful girls who fall for you, with their skinny legs and waist, looking so delicate... I didn’t want you to be ashamed of me...”
how couldn’t he notice? WHY haven't he? HE could NEVER be ashamed of you NEVER
WHY was he so busy with Volleyball? he should have noticed that you weren't eating.. but he always thought you’ve eaten before...
after you calmed down, he takes the towel and helps you getting dry, his eyes always stuck to small red lines on your legs, right under your hips
he walks over to where you kept your medics and all the first aid stuff and started treating your wounds
He takes off his hoodie and puts it over your head and picks you up bridal style, carrying you to the bed
He puts you down and quickly hurries to the kitchen and makes some tea for you
You’re now seated in between his legs, your back resting on his chest while his arms are wrapped around you, rocking you from side to side, while you two watch some Disney movies
after you finally fall asleep he takes out his phone and reads all the articles on the internet about self harming and ed’s.
He makes a note on his phone where he writes down all the things he could do to help you, and all the little signs so he knew when one of your conditions gets worse again
he makes sure that from now on, you two eat at least one meal together
he’s always encouraging you, if you feel like not eating, he begs you to at least eat one small bite, if you feel like eating the whole salad, girl, he’s hyping you up so much
he sees that you gained some weight?
omg be prepared for a full week of him praising you of how beautiful you are, hyping you up, etc
and GODDD IF YOU NEED NEW CLOTHES BECAUSE YOUR OLD ONES DON’T FIT ANYMORE SINCE YOU GAINED WEIGHT
he is spoiling you to the Max
he is willing to fly you to London, Paris, La, etc so you get the best clothes available
some small things he also do is : form that one night on, every day, he sends you a voice note of him telling you how amazing you are, how much he loves you, and lists at least 10 things why he loves you and why he’s proud of you - so from now on, before you grab that one small blade, you listen to this voice note and if that doesn't help, you only need to text him  🆘  and he’s already faceting you, dropping everything he was doing and getting to your house asap
also he’s probably trying to get you into working out with him, so he can control that you don’t overwork yourself and helps you gaining more muscles again and tells you about the benefits of weight lifting, since muscles burn calories while doing nothing at all, YET they need top be feed to remain

Field Trip
Maribat is from @ozmav
I want to make two things very clear:
Near the end there are homophobic and racist lines. So, please, be careful.
This is almost 9K.
That was D-Day. The day of the field trip at Wayne Enterprises.
Marinette knew she shouldn't be so excited, because please, she knew that place like her palm. But that didn't stop her from being excited to be able to introduce her friends to the employees there.
Every time she promised to take them to meet each other, but there was never a good enough opportunity for that to happen, since Adrien's father, Gabriel, was the biggest problem of the equation.
She was in the bathroom, finishing getting ready and had shared the hotel room with Alix, who from what she could hear, was jumping on the bed like crazy.
“Al, don't you get tired?” Marinette sighs as she leaves the bathroom.
The pink-haired girl - dressed in denim shorts, a black shirt with Batman logo, jacket tied at the waist and a black hat - stops jumping. Laughter ready to go out.
“It depends.” She replies. “Will you stop letting the rest of the class step on you because of that snake?”
"Al..." The warning tone clear in her voice.
Alix rolls her eyes and gets off the bed. She, like Kim, kept debating that Marinette should stop bowing her head to the class antics because of Lila. The girl had arrived in Dupont and destroyed the brunette's reputation just because of Adrien.
“Okay, I get it. I don't say anything else…” She says grumpy and Marinette smiles “For now.” And laughs at her best friend's frown.
“… I don't know why I still try. Really. You guys are a pain in the ass.” Marinette complains.
"It's love." Alix countered. "Let's go now. Those losers must be waiting in the lobby.”
Marinette picks up her bag from the bed, ready for the trip.
She was wearing black jeans, sneakers (they would walk a lot) and a big white long-sleeved sweater. Her hair was messed up on purpose.
Alix put on her old traditional all-star and opened the bedroom door for her friend.
When they were inside the elevator, Marinette turned to the girl. The high finger, like a mother lecturing her children.
“Remember: no trying to compete with Kim inside the building. If you don't behave, I will end you.” She warns. “And you know I can handle it.”
The pink-haired girl rolls her eyes but nods in agreement.
“I will behave myself. Promise."
"Great."
"Nice."
"Good."
"... You are unbearable." Alix says.
"I know." Marinette winks and they both burst out laughing.
They keep laughing until the elevator arrives in the lobby and bump into their friends, separated from the rest of the class, talking about something.
Alix pulls Marinette into the group, catching the attention of the rest of the class.
They ignore the scornful glances cast.
"Hey, losers." Alix nods when they get to them.
"Good morning, guys." Marinette smiles.
Adrien looked like he'd been kicked out of bed - his hair was messier than usual, a black sweatshirt with little cats, ripped jeans and the orange all-star he wouldn't let go of - his eyes barely opening to nod in acknowledgment, almost lying upright in Kim's arms.
Kim dressed similarly, except for the sweatshirt, which was several bats and the jeans were black, as were the sneakers. His hair was like Adrien's. Soft.
“Good morning!” He replies, holding Adrien with his right arm and waving his left hand.
"It's about time." Chloe complains. "I thought I would have to send Mr. Robot here to wake you up."
She was wearing light jeans, caramel UGG boots. The yellow jacket was open, giving a view of the white - which Marinette was sure was Alix's – shirt with Wonder Woman print underneath. Her blond hair was loose and her makeup minimal.
Max was wearing something Marinette never thought she'd see him wear before. A large hoodie - from Adrien, we should make clear - with Naruto print, black jeans and black vans too. He had the dreadlock — had grown since he was twelve — pinned to the top of his head.
"We took so long because Marinette was getting ready for her sweetheart." Alix teases.
Marinette feels her face burn.
"ALIX!"
Sabrina laughs. "Good morning, girls."
She wore a long green pleated skirt, white sneakers without a sock, a white shirt and an open button-down denim jacket. Her hair was tied in a braid on the side of her head and her makeup was minimal too.
Max looked like he was going to say something when Ms. Bustier appears, a man by her side.
“Class, let's go. The bus has arrived. This is the driver, Philip.” She points at him.
Marinette glanced quickly at the class and her eyes met Lila's. The smile the Italian sent her was freezing her blood.
“It looks like today is going to be interesting.” Adrien, who seemed much more awake, says.
The seven friends couldn't help but agree.
×××
The bus ride had been fun.
As they were many, someone would be left to sit with someone in the class and that was something that Alix did not allow to happen. Then she squeezed herself between Marinette and Sabrina, while Max sat next to Chloe and Adrien continued to use Kim as a pillow.
Marinette was wiping out her cell phone memory by taking pictures.
Proof, she says. Blackmail, replies Chloe, who was also taking pictures.
Alix and Sabrina were busy with the landscape, Max was studying about WE and Kim was playing something on his cell phone.
As the bus pulled up in front of the huge Wayne building cluster, Marinette felt anxiety bubbling in her stomach.
She had promised Dick she would not pretend to know anyone - Marinette didn't like to draw attention - so when she saw any of them, she would have to act like herself.
It had been a long and tiring conversation. The Wayne complaining that she never introduced them to her friends or that she always pretended not to know them.
Jason had even teased that she was ashamed of Damian and Damian retaliated by saying he was ashamed of his brothers. The two started fighting and it took Selina to intervene for them to stop.
Anyway. She had promised and Marinette Dupain-Cheng was not someone to break her promises.
She just wished her classmates were quiet and said nothing... graphic. Otherwise, she couldn't defend them from Wayne's fury.
Caline Bustier gets up from her seat and turns to the class, still sitting in their seats.
"We're here," she begins. “But before we get in, I want to make some things clear. IW has tough rules that should not be disregarded for anything.” Says “I know many should not have read the permission paper I gave their parents to sign, so I will warn them: they signed an NDA along with the permission. If you break this agreement, you can and will be sued. They don't care if you're seventeen.”
She looks each other in the eye, serious. Wanting them to understand the seriousness of the situation.
“Now I'll go over the rules.” She takes a piece of paper from her purse and starts reading it. “It's not allowed to take pictures, walk around the building without the guide or someone authorized, enter forbidden places and most importantly: do not disclose anything you saw inside. If a person breaks any of these rules, they will be banned from any Wayne buildings and prosecuted.” Caline lowers the paper. "Let's go now! We have a lot to learn.”
And get off the bus, followed by the excited class. The seven friends right behind, putting a certain distance.
"I'll finally meet the famous Timothy Drake." Max says, his face serious as if on a mission.
Marinette feels the warnings ring in her head. Max had built a rivalry since Tim figured out in a day how to solve a riddle that had left Max sleepless for months. That had been almost a year ago, but the flame of rivalry still burned in the boy's chest.
"Look, I don't know if the boys will be here." She says "I know Dick will be here, because he told me he would be the guide, but I don't know about the others."
Kim pouting, Adrien joins him and Alix too.
"But I thought I would meet Jason in person."
She shudders thinking about this meeting. No. Nope. That would not happen. Otherwise, she thinks Gotham wouldn't be whole.
"Neither Duke?" Sabrina question.
“I really think it's just Dick today, guys. I'm sorry."
The five sighs in dismay. Marinette sighs with relief.
"Let's go. They're leaving us behind.” Chloe says and points to the group ahead of them, already entering the building.”
"Shit."
And they run to catch up.
×××
As much as Marinette has spent much of the past two years walking these corridors, getting into the WI building was always breathtaking. The architecture was out of this world.
“… Thank you so much for getting this tour, Lila!” She hears Rose squeal excitedly.
Adrien snorts at her side, annoyed. He knew very well that the one who had made the trip had been Marinette. Lila was lying again and Ms. Bustier made no effort to dismiss the girl.
Marinette tightens the blonde's hand, trying to distract him from class.
“It was nothing!” Lila brags. “When I told Brucie that the class needed a trip as a graduation gift, he offered it to us. You know, he likes me a lot, since I'm his daughter-in-law.”
The class begins to praise her as a strange kind of cult and Marinette rolls her eyes at the familiar scene.
“What a nasty little girl we have here.” A voice purrs in Marinette's ear.
The girl jumps in surprise, a little scream escaping her lips. Everyone turns to look at her and she turns to find out who she was.
“SELINA!” She shouts excitedly.
The latin-looking woman smiles. Black hair in a pixie cut, plump lips and green eyes. She wore a black pencil skirt, a white blouse with lace at the shoulders and Louboutin high heels.
"Hello, kitten." Marinette hugs the woman.
They had not seen each other for a long time. Selina and Bruce were traveling a lot on their honeymoon, to make up for the times the marriage had been postponed.
“I missed you.” She pulls back, the firm smile on her face. “How was the honeymoon?”
“Wonderful.” Selina responds. “And how have you been?”
“Great.” She turns to her friends. “Guys, this is Selina Kyle.”
And then turns to Selina again.
“Selina, these are Adrien Agreste-” He smiles. “Chloe Bourgeois-” She waves. “Sabrina Raincomprix-” She says hello. “Max Kanté-” He waves. “And Lê Chiến Kim. My friends.” He winks charming.
The woman analyzes each one, nodding in approval in the end.
"They seem to be good people, kitten." She says. "I hope they can come to dinner with us tonight."
Marinette's smile gets impossibly bigger.
"Of-"
“Who is this, Marinette?” Lila's voice cuts the girl off. And the good mood of before changes to a sour one.
Selina looks away from the girl and looks at the rest of the class with Lila.
The girl had a despicable look on her face, a fake smile and sharp eyes. The class around her wasn't much better, since they didn't even pretend for politeness.
The woman observes the situation. At how once happy friends came together as if they were forming a barrier between Marinette and the other girl. How tempers became exalted.
Selina takes the lead, wanting to avoid a scene.
“Selina Kyle.” She replies. “And you? Who is it?” Question. The sharp tone leaves no gap for jokes.
Lila takes this as an opportunity to lie. Again.
“Lila Rossi. Damian Wayne's fiancée.” She extends her hand. “I’m the one who arranged the class trip.” Selina squeezes her hand.
"Damian's fiancée?" She hisses in displeasure. "Interesting."
Caline Bustier watches the commotion, unsure what to do.
She was sure the intrigue in the class would calm down over time, but it had only gotten worse. Worsened to the point that the Dupain-Cheng threatened to sue the school and report to the council, as no one seemed to see the toxic situation that became the classroom.
They were being dark days for Dupont. For Caline
All were under investigation. Mostly her, since she was the one that suffered the most accusations not only from Marinette's family, but also from Max, Kim and Sabrina as well. This trip had been an excuse for everyone - her - to get away from Paris and the rabbit hole they had gotten into.
A man dressed all in black - button-down shirt, slim-fit pants and oxfords - with styled hair appeared with the driver.
Caline guessed it was Richard Grayson, the guide they had informed her.
He smiled at her and held out his hand to greet.
"Good morning, I'm Richard Grayson." She squeezes the offered hand, feeling her cheeks heat up.
She could be a teacher, but she wasn't dead.
“Good morning, Richard. I'm Caline Bustier, the teacher.” She drops his hand, kind of disappointed to have to.
Ms. Bustier turns to the class and catches everyone's attention. She watches the Latina woman kiss Marinette's cheek and leave the building. The security guard waving respectfully at her.
“Guys, please.” And their attention turns to her.
Marinette's group still distracted by something the girl said.
"Good morning, Dupont." The man says. "My name is Richard and I will be your guide on this field trip."
The class cheers up again and Marinette turns her head so fast that Chloe is sure she heard the bone crack.
"DICK!"
The whole class chokes. Lila takes the opportunity to make a scene.
“Oh my god, Marinette! Have a little decency.” She whines shrilly. “Apologize to Richard right now or I will make arrangements.”
Dick raises an eyebrow at the Italian.
“Now there is no need-”
“There is a need, Mr. Grayson.” Lila cuts off the man. “She's being disrespectful to you and as I am the most influential person around, I must place order.
Alix and Sabrina snort, hands over their mouths trying to hide their laughter. Chloe doesn't care about hiding. Kim and Max were obviously filming. Adrien had such a big smile on his face that Dick knew it must be hurting.
Marinette was frozen. He knew that expression.
"... not necessary, Miss." He says again. Already losing patience with the girl. “Minette didn't disrespect me. She just called me by my nickname.”
Lila looks like she's just been slapped. Bewildered.
"The what?"
“Do you know Marinette?” Alya asks, her nose twitching with the scent of an exclusive.
Dick tilts his head, his arms crossed and a teasing smile on his mouth.
"Of course. She is my sister in law."
... What?
Adrien was right. That day would be interesting.
×××
"This is where Wayne Technologies starts." Dick says, pointing to the floor where the elevator stopped. “You'll see our specialists at work, so avoid distracting them.”
The class walked the floor marveling at the technology and the scientists at work.
Adrien was practically drooling next to Max.
"Dude, close your mouth." Alix jokes.
The boy's cheek burned in embarrassment and he closed his mouth in a loud snap. The hand rubbed his face just to make sure there was no drool.
Marinette laughed at her friend, but stopped abruptly as she watched the red tuft of hair in one of the tech rooms. That was when she remembered that she had promised Adrien to introduce him to one of the smartest people she had ever met. And a physics freak like him.
She takes the boy's wrist and drags him away from where Dick was leading them all.
“Come, Adrien. I want you to meet someone!”
“Wait-Don’t you need authorization-” He doesn't finish, as Marinette puts her palm on the hi-tech lock and the light flashes green before the door opens. "Oh."
The brunette pulls him into the room until she comes across a woman, not much older than 30, who was fiddling with a metal plate.
"Carmen." She calls and the woman looks at her, a lively smile appearing on her face.
“Mari! How long!” She gets up and gives the girl a quick hug.
“Yes, yes!” They laugh. “Remember I commented on a friend of mine who was a physics nerd?”
Adrien protests softly. He wasn't a nerd... just very passionate.
Carmen looks away at the boy and he nods shyly.
"I suppose this is the physics nerd?"
"Himself. Adrien Agreste.” Marinette replies. “Adrien, this is Carmen Leonhart, WI's head of technology research.”
As they begin to talk about numbers, statistics and many other things Marinette didn't care to know, she turns around, ready to leave the room.
Just to face the whole class, Ms. Bustier, her friends and Dick, standing in the doorway. Dick with the biggest fucking smile on his face.
"... what?" She asks. Confused with the audience.
Chloe gives a mocking smile.
"I didn't know you were allowed into these rooms, Dupain-Cheng."
Marinette realizes what she has just done and the embarrassment only gets worse.
She had been so excited to introduce Adrien and Carmen to each other that she had not thought about what she was doing in front of her classmates. Sure, she had promised not to hide her relationship with the Wayne family, but that didn't mean she liked to show off like this.
Lila doesn't seem to like the attention Marinette was getting at all. Her face in a sour frown and the fists clenched.
She sent Marinette a warning look before masking her dislike with a sweet expression.
“Oh, that's no big deal.” She says waving her hands in disdain. “I asked Brucie to authorize our class. He was generous enough to include Marinette on this list.” The scorn barely masked by the disinterested tone.
The class seems to take this as truth (as always) as Nino puts his hand on the girl's shoulder. A proud expression on his face.
“Thanks so much for all this, dude.” He says. “You didn't have to go that far for us.” And the class agrees. Raining compliments on the Italian.
Chloe doesn't disguise the grimace and Alix rolls her eyes so violently that for a moment, Max fears she was injured.
The class leaves the room, following Lila like sheep being herded, leaving the group of friends and Dick behind. Ms. Bustier didn't take long to leave either, which left them finally alone.
"Ok... Now where is my hug, Minette?" He turns to the girl and she runs to hug him. "Much better."
Marinette laughs, the hug lasting a few more seconds before they let go. Dick turns to the other five - Adrien and Carmen too distracted by whatever it was - and extended his hand in greeting one by one.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person."
"The same." Sabrina smiles.
“Now we have to go. There are a few more things to see and a surprise.” He winks at Marinette and the girl feels the danger in that expression.
One thing Marinette was sure of: There was no anxiety to know what this surprise was about.
Anyway, getting Adrien out of the room had been difficult because the blonde didn't want to leave. Carmen had to promise that she would give him a free pass so he could visit her while the trip to Gotham lasted.
The friends had no doubt that the blonde would live in the building and never leave the scientist alone.
Going on.
The rest of the tour had been less dramatic around Lila and her minions. Of course, she continued to lie about everything. How Bruce Wayne and his wife Selena loved her; the fact that Ricardo Wayne - the eldest son - had died in an attack on Wayne Mansion by the feared villain, Clown; that Jackson - the middle child - was an award-winning scientist; Thomas was unfortunately an addict, but Bruce tried with all his might to rehabilitate; and finally, that Damian was an angel in love with her, very sweet and romantic.
Marinette never thought she would have trouble controlling herself, but it was hard not to laugh at the Dick’s expressions and her friends laughing openly.
But apart from The Tales of Lila, the class left them alone.
As they passed the corridors of WI, Mari was being recognized by the staff and she made a point of introducing her group of friends excitedly. That didn't include the rest of the class and Lila, of course, could make some excuse for them.
Honestly, Marinette was surprised that no one showed distrust in the Italian. It was obvious she was lying.
But that didn't last long. Someday the lies would have to be revealed, and apparently that was the day.
They took a break to eat in the cafeteria.
Dick had gone out with Ms. Bustier to talk somewhere which, in Marinette's opinion, would not be a very good conversation. Or happy.
Adrien, Sabrina and Mari with a classic burger and fries; Max settled for a fettuccine; Kim, Chloe and Alix got pizza (not very healthy, but one day just wouldn't hurt). They were seated at a table separate from the rest of the class, but close enough to hear a word or two.
Marinette was chewing on her burger lazily while her friends talked when Jason Todd and Timothy Drake showed up. Both with expressions that said everything but good intentions.
"Oh my god." She whispered; the eyes wide. The cheeks full of food.
They scanned the cafeteria, probably looking for Marinette, and when they turned toward her, Mari used Adrien's height as a shield. Trying to keep them from seeing her. Which didn't work, since Adrien was shaking (laughing) and the conversation at the neighboring table (her class) had been cut short.
“Why are you hiding, Maribug?” Jason asks, his voice malicious.
Marinette sighs before surrendering to her destiny.
She stepped out from behind Adrien, face was red.
The girl swallowed the food.
“Hi Jay. Tim.” A smile appears on her face despite the embarrassment.
Tim raises an eyebrow at her, clearly amused. Jason doesn't disguise the shitty smile growing on his face.
"She hid, but at least she didn't pretend not to know us." Tim points out.
Marinette rolls her eyes, the shame already forgotten.
"I don't break my promises." She says.
She pushes Adrien aside to make room and points them both.
"Sit down and introduce yourself to those you didn't know yet."
They waste no time quickly pulling two chairs off an unoccupied table and placing them in the open place. As they sit down, Jason throws his arm around Marinette's shoulders in a hug.
“We miss you, Nette.” He says. “Demon spawn has been unbearably unbearable.”
She elbows his ribs for talking about Damian and he groans in pain.
"Even though you're a pain in the ass, I missed you too, Jay." Marinette laughs at the offended face he made, before squirming so she can look at Timothy. "And you too, Timmy."
Tim winks at her before turning to the rest of the table. The family (but Selina, since she spent more time traveling than at home) already knew Adrien, Kim and Chloe from past visits, but this was the first time they had met the other three: Sabrina, Max and Alix.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Timothy Drake, Damian's brother.” He reaches out first for Sabrina to shake, then Alix and lastly Max, who narrowed his eyes defiantly and squeezed his hand a little harder than usual.
Tim knew that the boy had a certain rivalry against him over the puzzle. Which was good, since he enjoyed a good and healthy competition.
Jason throws his idle hand on the table, startling the others.
“I'm Jason Todd. The best boy.” He says excitedly. “Nette's favorite!”
Chloe seems to be offended by the man's words.
"I doubt it." Sneers. "Everyone knows I'm her favorite."
Adrien chokes around a fry.
"Now, we know I'm the favorite." He chews loudly.
It was kind of gross, being honest.
"Oh, shut up, Agreste!" Alix throws a potato at the boy. “It is common knowledge that I am everyone's favorite.”
The boy looks scandalized at her, but doesn't take long to throw the fry back at her in revenge. Alix dodges and the food ends up hitting Kim in the forehead.
He narrows the eyes irritably, Tim and Jason laughing, Marinette wanting nothing more than to go back to her hotel bed and sleep 12 hours straight.
Damian chose that moment to appear with Titus and Dick. And as much as Marinette was happy to see him, this was the worst moment ever.
She knew her friends. Knew well enough to know that the cafeteria had become a war zone and that they would be bombed at any moment.
As soon as he opened his mouth to greet her, Kim got up ready to pounce, but before he could, Titus ran and jumped on Marinette. Almost making the girl bang her head against the table by his strength and weight.
There was a general panic at their class table, probably afraid of the dog, but she ignored everything in favor of giving all the attention and love Titus deserved. Because he was the best boy, not Jason, thank you very much.
"Who's the handsome boy, huh?!" She pampers the dog excitedly, which licks her face. "I missed you too." His tail looked like a whip.
Tim and Jason turn to the brothers.
"Yo, Dick." Jason nods lazily.
"Demon spawn." Tim says.
Damian frowns in annoyance, but doesn't respond to Timothy's provocation. The attention fully turned to Marinette with Titus. Dick waves back.
"What are you guys doing here?" He asks.
"We came with father and Cass." Tim replies.
Marinette jumps at the conversation.
“Are your father and sister here?” She shouts.
God! She was not prepared to handle all Wayne and the class at the same time.
"Duke too." Jason adds.
Marinette moans in pain and buries her face in Titus's soft fur. She would not come back alive to the hotel or Paris.
Damian approaches the girl, ignoring the prying eyes of her class. From what he managed to find out (both from Marinette's friends and what he investigated) if he had to interact with any of them, the no-kill rule would probably have to be broken.
"Angel." He calls, crouching in front of her and placing his hands on hers in Titus.
Marinette looks up to look at him.
"Hey, Dami."
She stretches over the dog (who was calm, almost asleep in her arms) and kisses Damian's lips tenderly.
"I missed you. Too much.” She whispers against his lips before pulling away.
"Me too." Damian answers and pecks her lips. "And-"
"Marinette, aren't you going to introduce us to your boyfriend?"
Alya's voice scares Marinette, who jumps away from Damian and Titus. Which makes both Wayne and the dog growl in irritation.
He gets up and Marinette follows him. Her friends comfortable in their seats, Dick standing (without Ms. Bustier) and the class waiting for an answer.
She sighs and turns to face the class. Damian was firm by her side and she also knew her friends would be supporting her.
Alya had her arms crossed. The rest of the class was not much different and Lila's expression soured, since everyone's attention was solely on Marinette.
"This is D-"
"Mari!!!" A shriek interrupts the girl.
They all turn to the source of the voice, only to find Bruce Wayne, a black man and an Asian girl running toward them. More specifically towards Marinette.
The little girl's hair was black, combed into familiar pigtails. She was wearing a red, black polka dot dress, with a black bow around her waist. On the feet were ballet shoes.
She jumped into Marinette's arms, which squeezes her into a warm hug, grinning.
"Hey, young lady." The little girl squeaks as Marinette kisses her cheek.
They watch the brunette put the girl down and start a... peculiar conversation. Where the child signed and Marinette responded verbally.
"You're so cool, Cass!" Kim compliments excitedly, apparently understanding what the girl was talking about. She smiles proudly at the compliment.
They (Marinette and co) continue to talk to the little girl while most of the class remain stunned by Bruce Wayne's presence.
Alya jumps excitedly and looks at Lila.
"Girl!" She practically screams "Did you get Bruce Wayne to meet us?!"
The Italian loses at least half the blood on her face. Increasingly pale with the situation. Her lips were almost sickly and her eyes wide. She swallows hard before letting out a clumsy laugh.
“Y-yea… very kind of him!” The voice comes out weak even to her ears. “B-but let's not disturb his conversation. You know how important he is.” Mumbles.
Lila's hands were shaking. She needed to get out of there, needed a plan urgently.
Alya's excitement diminished, taking Lila's words into consideration, but she kept staring at the men, holding back not to scream.
“Guys, I'm not feeling-”
“Papa, Duke!” Cass shouts again, the dog barking along and Bruce Wayne, with the other man, looks at her. “Mari!” She points at Marinette, jumping and twirling her dress.
Both Bruce and Duke(?) smiled before approaching them and Lila panics. Everything could go wrong at any time!
She turned to the class, making the most innocent expression and trying her best not to let despair overtake her body.
“Guys, please, I'll pretend I don't know him so as not to attract unwanted attention from the staff.” She whispers. “It's something we always do when we're around strangers, so don't be scared.” No one noticed Timothy's disgusted look toward them.
"Stay calm. We get it.” Nino soothes her, the class nodding in agreement.
She sighs with relief, having managed to avert a catastrophe.
"Good afternoon, Dupont." Bruce greets, the serious stance of a businessman. "I'm Bruce Wayne and this-" He points to the other man. "It's my protégé, Duke Thomas."
Duke nods in acknowledgment, then soon mutters something in Richard's ear, laughing at the other's disgusted expression. He made no attempt to approach the class to introduce himself.
Nathaniel felt that what has been said to the guide, was not something minimally pleasant. He felt that the class was the subject of comment and did not like it at all.
Rose, being the most outgoing, reaches out to greet Bruce Wayne.
“It's a pleasure, Mr. Wayne. It's a dream to be here!” She says. “We were very lucky to get this trip.” And tilts her head to wink at Lila, who smiles secretly.
He shakes her hand and waves seriously, pretending not to see the exchange between them. When they release their hands, Bruce turns to Marinette, a soft look on his face.
"Hello, Maribeetle." His tone softened before smiling.
"Hi, Dad." The obvious laugh on her face.
There are choking sounds, but neither pay attention.
She doesn't wait for him to say anything more before she comes closer and hugs him. He returns the hug, making the girl disappear into his arms and kisses her forehead.
"I see you had a welcome committee." He raised an eyebrow, looking his sons.
Dick is the only one who looks minimally embarrassed, while the other three (Jason, Tim and Damian) pretended the issue wasn't with them, looking around.
The class (without Ms. Bustier, who was missing) frozen in shock. Lila was about to pass out. She could hardly believe what was happening.
"Hey, Mr. B." Adrien nods.
"Bruce, what's up!" Kim says.
"Hello, Mr. Wayne." Sabrina greets.
“Wow, B! You look soft.” Alix teases.
"By my calculations, Alix is right, Mr. B." Max straightens his glasses. "You've lost some muscle."
“Congratulations on the adoption. Cassandra is a sweetie.” Chloe says.
Bruce snorts and releases Marinette, who bends down to take Cass in her arms again.
The boys not even trying to hide their laughter. He could see the tears in Jason's eyes, Tim was bent over Dick while they both laughed, Damian had the hand over his mouth hiding a smile and Cassandra imitated the two older ones.
Duke bit his lip trying to contain himself.
"It's good to see you again." Bruce says, hands firmly on Marinette's shoulders. "I remember the last time, Adrien and Jason got into a fight with the police and were almost arrested."
Adrien feels his cheeks heat up and Jason stops laughing, feeling attacked.
"I really thought it was a fantasy." The blonde mutters.
The class begins to whisper, clear confusion on their faces.
Alya was choking on surprise; Nino looking at Adrien as if the boy had grown two heads; Rose had retreated to Juleka's side, not liking the situation and Juleka was the same; Nathaniel bit his thumb uncomfortably; Mylene and Ivan looking lost; and Lila... Lila could see her world crumbling slowly and with frightening rapidity.
The dog barks once more, waking Alya from her mental confusion.
She swallows hard, her throat aching from the action.
“What's going on?” She asks, her voice breaking through the dryness in her throat.
Everyone stares at her. The confused Wayne family, Marinette and friends with the neutral face and Duke... Duke was fiddling with his cell phone.
“Why do you know Bruce Wayne? Why did Marinette call him ‘dad’? What's up with everyone greeting her and who is this boy she kissed?” She looks straight at the girl, her eyes accusing.
Damian frowns at her, his fist clenched, ready to say something that Marinette or his father probably wouldn't approve of, but Bruce stops him.
"What don't you understand yet, Ms. Cesárie?" The question was blunt. "I think if Marinette was kissing Damian, that means the two are together."
Alya gets annoyed with the answer.
"And why did she call you ‘Dad’?"
Chloe sneers in the background. Alix rolls her eyes, Adrien tilts her head, Kim swears under his breath, Max stares in disbelief and Sabrina was busy talking to Timothy.
"They can't be so dumb, can they?"
Jason's attempt to whisper didn't work, as everyone listened to what he said.
Alya's cheeks burn with humiliation.
“That's a fair question!” Nino goes to his girlfriend's defense and Damian rolls the eyes sarcasticallyy.
"Answering your question, Ms. Cesárie, Marinette calls me that because she's engaged to my son." Bruce says. "My son Damian." He adds as he notices the confusion.
Lila sucks air between her teeth. Panic rushing through her body.
“But…” Mylene looks at Lila. “Damian Wayne isn't dating Lila?” She asks.
The Italian freezes when everyone looks at her.
“Lila? What Lila?” Damian asks venomously. "I don't know anyone by that name."
Alya grit her teeth. The anger clear in his expression.
“How not? She grew up with you in the mansion. Bruce Wayne practically adopted her!” She shouts. "Explain it to me!"
“Wow! This is kind of impossible, since demon spawn came to live with us only after he turned ten.” Timothy says.
Alya feels a dizziness start in her muscles.
"But Lila said that..." She mumbles. “She said Selena Kim, Bruce's wife, was her aunt. That you were a family!” Exclaims exalted.
“Look, I'm sorry you and your friends were fooled, but that's the truth: We don't know her. Selina Kyle has no nieces, Jason is not an award-winning scientist, Timothy is not an addict, Damian is anything but a sweetie. And the main thing is, I didn't die and the Joker never attacked Wayne Mansion.” Dick ends a little breathlessly.
The class is at varying levels of shock. No one daring to say anything, Lila wondering how to get out of that mess and beside her, Alya looked like she'd been slapped.
Marinette wanted to feel sorry for her classmates, but failed. She had tried, so had her friends, but no one would listen.
"So, you mean everything was a lie?" Nino asks. A dangerous edge in his tone.
Lila shudders, moving away from the class and almost falling in the process. She was afraid she wouldn't lie about that, but the class had a murderous expression in her direction.
“N-no! Of course not!” Babbles. "Can't you see this is Marinette's plan to make me look bad?!" She points to the girl, who was playing with Cassandra and Titus, no longer paying attention to the drama.
The class seems to believe at least a little, as they turn to the girl, probably to fight.
Adrien, Alix, Kim and Damian form a human barrier to stop them. The look on Adrien's face was no less deadly than Damian's.
"Don't even try." Adrien says. “I'm sick of you. Mostly from you, Alya.” He looks at her. “You can be worse than Lila and her lies. I thought you were smart enough to figure it all out, but it seems I was wrong.”
The girl's eyes was wet with tears, but she kept her posture steady, noting that her friends were no better off.
“You only say that because Lila didn't want you!” She screams. "You who can be worse than Marinette, Agreste!"
Sabrina and Chloe chokes before bursting out laughing. Max and Kim not far behind.
"Oh my god!" Sabrina moans "Is that what she said?" She sighs trying to control herself but failed and laughed again.
"That's the most hilarious thing I've ever heard!" Chloe says, wiping her eyes.
Nino is offended on behalf of Alya.
"What?" He asks.
Adrien feels his cheeks burn because he didn't want everyone to know, but if it was to help Mari, he would do that.
"Mm..." He begins. "I've been dating someone since the first year."
Lila looks shocked. More than their classmates.
“What?!” She shouts, forgetting the situation she was in.
The blonde scratches his head uncomfortably.
"Did you finally surrender to Chloe?" Ivan asks.
Both Adrien and Chloe made a face of disgust.
"Ew, no!" Chloe protested. "I'm fine and happy with Kagami."
“So, who is it?” Lila demands. "Who are you dating, Adrien?"
"Me!" Someone says.
And everyone turned to look.
Was a tall, well-built young man. Hair was black and messy; the eyes were incredibly blue. He was wearing torn jeans, a red vans, black Star Wars shirt and prescription glasses.
He was behind Bruce, probably coming in during the mess.
“God damn it, this became an event and I didn't know?” Duke whispers to Bruce, but the man doesn't respond.
"What the fuck are you doing here Ken-"
“Jon!” Adrien cuts off Damian and runs to Jonathan, who picks him up.
They kiss passionately and Marinette puts her hands in Cassandra's eyes, trying to protect the little girl's innocence. The group of friends moan in disgust. The Wayne family too.
"OK! I think everyone already understands.” Marinette says. “Now let go. Cass is here too!”
"That was horrible." Max mumbles.
Adrien releases the boy, his face red. Redder than Ladybug's uniform. And the other boy smiled, not at all embarrassed.
“Are you gay?!” Lila asks, the accusative tone clear in her voice.
"What-"
"I can't believe I did this all because of a fa*got!" She snarls, venom dripping from her words. “You owe me three years of my life, Agreste!”
There is a shocked silence from everyone. Even from Marinette and friends. They didn't think Lila could be so rotten and ugly inside.
Marinette puts Cassandra on Damian's arms and walks slowly to the Italian. She seemed to be marching to war.
"What the hell did you say?" The voice came out dangerous.
"What? That he's a fag—” A slap popped on the girl's cheek before she could finish.
The force of the blow caused her to become unbalanced and fall to the floor.
They all walked away giving them both space.
"I dare you to repeat that."
She approaches once more, but Damian stops her. Cassandra in Dick's arms.
"Don't do anything you'll regret later, angel." He whispers and she sighs, moving away from the Italian on the floor. “Drake, do something useful as a CEO and call security. I want this person out of here as soon as possible.”
“You'll pay for it, Marinette Dupain-Cheng!” Lila growls, the hand gripping her bruised cheek. "If you think you're going to get rid of it, you're very wrong!"
Bruce, who remained quiet, bent down to pull the girl by the arm. Fed up with all the drama.
"Enough!" He says. “Ms. Rossi you will do nothing. Otherwise, I will be required to report you.”
Lila snorts offended and tries to release her arm from his grasp.
“Do you really think that just because you have money, will you get away with it?” She attacks, the eyes wide and crazy. “I have diplomatic immunity! You just became complicit with this disgusting muso giallo*!”
Marinette notices Bruce's knuckles go white from the grip and decides to separate the two.
“Dad, please let her go.” She grabs his arm, stepping between Lila and Bruce. "If you keep going, it might be worse later." But he doesn't even blink. Lila begins to moan in pain.
Five security guards enter the cafeteria, all huge and serious.
“Father, the security mans are here. You can let her go.” Damian puts his hand on the man's shoulder and only then does he move again, releasing the Italian's arm.
She drops to the floor, crying while holding her arm.
"I'm sorry, I blacked out for a second there." Bruce sighs, patting his head.
Marinette hugs the man, comforting him. She knew he had some problems after years of fighting crime, especially fighting the Joker. Sometimes he was a little more blunt and rude, unaware of it. It was sad for her to see him in this state.
But unfortunately, it was a side effect of having to save the world every time.
"Mr. Wayne, we were asked." One of the security guards says. "Who would be the person to be escorted?"
Timothy points to Lila who was still on the floor, but this time Alya was by her side, helping her.
"She." Answer. "The sausage hair."
The security guards do not hesitate to pull Lila away from Alya, dragging the Italian out when she strained and stood still.
"HEY! Let me go!” She leaves screaming. WI employees don't even look twice at the scene, seeming used to it.
"You can't do this to her!" Alya complains. "Where is Ms. Bustier?!"
“We can and are doing it. It amazes me that you're defending her after finding out that besides being a liar and a racist, she's homophobic.” Jason says, no humor in his tone. "And your teacher is already on a plane to Paris."
The whole class chokes on surprise. The whole class.
“What?!” Adrien shouts and Titus cries at the loud noise. He quickly caresses the dog, apologizing. "Sorry buddy." Jon smiles, in love with the blonde.
“She had to go back to Paris for an audience with the minister of education.” Tim replies. “She and Dupont's principal have been charged with negligence and cover-up. If they are found guilty, both will face the law “
"And they'll be fired." Damian adds. The morbid pleasure shining in his eyes.
"But why? She did nothing!” Rose complains. Her face was red from crying.
“Exactly, Tinker Bell. She did nothing.” Duke says. “She saw bullying, witnessed it and never did anything to help or try to stop. She just threw all the responsibility on one person thinking she was making the choice of the year.”
"And what does the principal have to do with it?" Nino asks. He was the only one who seemed to have understood the gravity of the situation, but was slow to believe.
“Dupont's principal has been a coward for a long time. He left a lot behind the scenes because he didn't want problems with people bigger than him and that was his mistake.” Bruce replies.
Everyone in the class is silent for a while. Each in their own thoughts, digesting everything that had happened. Meanwhile, Marinette and her friends were talking animatedly to Jonathan, who had his arms around Adrien like a koala.
“So… did Lila really lie to us all this time?” Mylene asks, her voice barely coming out.
"Unfortunately, Ms. Haprèle." Bruce says. The solemn face.
Nathaniel puts the hands to his mouth, the eyes wide with dread and everyone looks at him.
“I-I didn't send my portfolio to the university I wanted to get into because Lila had promised me an interview with a famous comic book author!”
And there is a mass reaction of the same kind.
Apparently, Lila had promised to help them in their careers, with their supposed connections in high places. Which now, they saw how fake it had been, since Lila had promised to introduce Nino to Steven Spielberg since Dupont's sophomore year, but it was years and she always made an excuse for not having happened yet.
Alya fell to her knees, devastated.
"T-that's why they turned me down." She says tearfully. “They said they couldn't accept someone who published gossip and lies, but I never understood what they meant. Until now. "
Marinette felt bad for them. She didn't think Lila had clenched her claws so deeply that it would damage their future. She knew Alya would have complications to be taken seriously, but she didn't think it would be to the point of refusing her university entrance.
"I-" Alya mumbles and looks up at Marinette. "Mari."
Marinette shakes her head.
“No.” She says. “I'm so sorry for you guys. Really. I hope you can follow your dream, but I don't want your apologies.”
“But-” Juleka protests.
“I spent years being trampled and scorned by you because someone you barely knew accused me of bullying and being a jealous bitch. I will not accept your apologies. I'm glad you finally opened your eyes, but that's all.”
“Are you going to throw years of friendship in the trash just to punish us?” Nino attacks.
“What friendship?” Marinette says. “All I remember about this supposed friendship, is to do everything for you and you not repaying even 1% of it.”
"You forgave Chloe after all she did, so why not us?" Nathaniel points out.
“Because she was honest with me. Because she sought help. Because she got better and was genuine for it.”
"And we're not?" Rose whimpers.
"No. You're apologizing because you saw your golden ticket was false.” Growls and everyone shuts up.
They shut up because she was right. They were not genuinely sorry for what they did. They didn't feel guilty about it because it was Lila's fault! Only hers. She deceived them, she who lied. Not them. So why feel guilty about something they didn't do?
But they were guilty. Lila only gave the wick, but they came with the lighter, set it on fire and sat down to watch the candle melt. She didn't force them. They did it willingly and with unprecedented excitement.
"I think we're done for today." Bruce Wayne interrupts the moment. "They'd better be taken back to the hotel." He was talking to Duke, who quickly put the phone to his ear and spoke to someone.
"Come on, I'll take you back to the bus." Dick says, helping Alya to her feet.
The class begins to move, following him out of the cafeteria, but they notice the absence of the others.
"Mr. Grayson, aren't Marinette and the others coming too?” Ivan asks.
Dick glances over his shoulder before looking forward again.
"No. They will stay with the family for the rest of the trip.”
Because Bruce Wayne was so protective of those he loved and Dick doubted he would let Lila Rossi get close to Marinette again. Not when he had the power and influence to prevent it.
But then he would have to face Damian in the witch hunt. Dick was sure the young man already had at least two plans underway. One fatal and one less fatal.
Because that was how their family was.
And Lila Rossi was nothing more than a gum stuck in the sole of their shoe.
EXTRA 1:
"Okay, whose idea was it to bring everyone to WI?" Marinette questions idly.
"Dick." Damian replies without bothering to toss his brother under the bus.
“DAMIAN!” The eldest complains.
"What? I'd rather you angry than Marinette.”
"Okay, fair." Dick sighs. “But the idea was not mine. I just passed it on.”
Marinette raises her eyebrow, demanding.
"And who did?"
"Tikki."
"WHAT?! I'LL KILL TIKKI!” Marinette shouts and everyone runs away from her fury.

In Paris, more precisely in the box of the Miraculous, the kwami of creation stops playing with others to sneeze.
"Wow, I think I'm getting sick."
"Or maybe someone is talking about you." Mullo answers.
“But who-” She widens her eyes in panic.
Plagg begins to laugh wildly.
“Looks like we'll have kwami barbecue soon.”
“PLAGG!”
×××
They didn't have kwami barbecue, but it was pretty close.
EXTRA 2:
"Do you think she would have gone crazy right there if I said you're not my only boyfriend?" Adrien asks.
"... It would have been awesome!" Jonathan responds dreamily.
"Can you pay attention to me? I'm feeling left out." Luka complains.
"Sorry sweetie!" Jonathan smiles.
Adrien thinks he wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. Not even if his lady showed up asking him in marriage.
... Which would not be a bad image. The four together.
×××
Probably Damian would kill him if he accepted.
×××
But still a good image.

Muso giallo – literally "yellow muzzle". It is an offensive term used to refer to Chinese people, sometimes to Asian in general, with intent to point out their yellowish complexion as an indication of racial inferiority. The use of the word "muzzle" is in order not to consider them humans, but animals.
I searched for racial slurs, but I was so pissed off at what I found that I needed to scream at the pillow.

you don’t get a win unless you’re playing the game: Daveed Diggs x Reader: Chapter 4 part 1
You wake up to the sound of sirens and constructions like most days in the heights. Your eyes struggle to open due to their heaviness from lack of sleep. You were already disappointed in yourself for not taking off your makeup the previous night. You were so thankful you didn’t have to set your alarm for rehearsals this morning but regretted all the drinking you did yesterday. As you attempted to even sit up, your head pounded from the hangover. The muscles in your head were sore from thrashing your head around in Yorktown rehearsal and your calves ached as bad as they did when you first started getting into dancing.
Basically you were head to toe covered in pain. Until you began to remember.
“Ugh…” you said aloud.
Suddenly, the memories from last night started flooding in. Was this reality? Or was this a dream? A sick joke of a dream?
You instantly shot up, disregarding the headache and chugged the rest of your water bottle on your night stand. Then you remembered the flirtatious text you sent before you passed out.
“Oh no oh no oh no…” you said as you fumbled to take your phone off of the charger.
You hit the home button and noticed three different messages.
Michelle

Cedric
1 Message
Diggs
3 Messages
You really didn’t want to open them in sheer fear of what they’d say. Maybe Daveed was too drunk to even think yesterday and everything was all a misunderstanding.
You braved it out and unlocked it.
Michelle:
3:04am Currently in my uber back to my place… with CEDRIC!!!”
Cedric:
3:00am Where’s Michelle? Her Uber’s here.
Diggs:
9:00am Digg’s loved ““Looking forward to finishing what we started earlier too 😉””
9:01am Babygirl, when we finish what you started, you won’t be able to walk
9:01am Damn... got me all excited bright and early
It wasn’t a hoax. This man wants to pursue you. Your whole body began to pulsate just thinking of him getting excited for you. He sent that about an hour ago since it was 9:55am when you woke up. Shit, you wished you were up as soon as he sent this. You would’ve had the perfect response back to get him hot and bothered.
You sat and thought to yourself if you should continue the conversation in a flirtatious, dirty way, but then thought to yourself that you should shower first so you could clear your mind a little.
You popped two Advil and hopped in the shower. The entire time you couldn’t stop feeling your cheek and neck where Daveed had laid such sweet, gentle, sensual kisses on you the previous evening. You kept picturing the moment you two met eyes in the mirror after you felt his growing bulge through his pants on your backside. It made your heart stop. His lips were so soft. Just imagining them on your...
Right then, your gut intention kicked your ass as you immediately turned the water from a comfortable warm temperature to ice cold to get your mind out of the gutter.
“Stop it, Y/N, stop. Don’t get feelings.” You told yourself aloud.
You couldn’t shake the thoughts, dried off, and thought about sending him a risqué picture. What was there to lose…
You put on your favorite lavender bra and panty set from Aerie on underneath your white silk robe from Victoria’s Secret. It wasn’t the fanciest, but you were almost positive he’d appreciate the little tease. You covered your body in mango scented body lotion, making your limbs supple and hydrated. It felt so good on your calves as you massaged it in. What were you doing? This was so unlike you. You’ve never sent risqué pics like this before to someone you just met.

You angled yourself in front of your bathroom mirror, making sure all the clutter of skincare and lotion was out of frame. You made sure that only the slightest bit of your cleavage was showing. You wanted to make it classy, hoping he’s never gotten pictures like this before. You made sure to bring your elbows in so your boobs popped up a bit. You arched your back, stuck your booty out, and made sure the top of your thigh was showing through the middle of the base of the robe. You felt so silly and began laughing at yourself. You quieted down. Your phone was directly in front of your face for privacy.
You needed an extra boost of confidence, so you began to blast “Say The Name” from Daveed’s rap group clipping. in the background. This always pumped you up.
You then began to draft the text:
To: Diggs
If you were wondering what was under the hoodie…
You hit send and immediately closed your eyes. Maybe it wouldn’t be delivered and be some sort of sign. You decided to set your phone face down on your bed and actually get dressed in something comfy so you could treat yourself to a bacon, egg, and cheese. You eventually popped on your Kith hoodie. It smelled just like him...
You heard your phone DING. Your heart dropped.
It was a only voice message from Michelle:
“GIRRRRRL I have got to tell you what happened last night. Wanna do a late brunch?”
The thought of mimosas right now made you want to hurt, but thankfully the thought of a gigantic stack of French toast instantly revived you and put a pep in your step.
You decide to call her instead of doing voice memo tag. She answers and you immediately respond:
“I cannot wait to hear. I also have tons to tell you. What are you wearing?” You blurted.
“Did Diggs sleep over?!?” She yelled immediately, ignoring your question.
“Unfortunately, no. What are you wearing?”
“I’m throwing on a sweatshirt and wearing the same pants as last night with my vans. Let’s say we meet at Jack’s Wife Frida at 12:15pm? I’ll get my friend to hold a table for us.”
Perks of having cool friends check!!!
“Sounds solid. I’ll see you soon!” You already began to hang up the phone.
“Bye babe!”
You hung up the phone to notice a notification from Diggs. You ignore it completely.
You throw off the Kith hoodie, hugging it in for one last smell of the fading cologne you now have etched in your memory. You throw on an old maroon Nike sweatshirt from high school, jump into some black Lululemon leggings, and throw on some old black nikes. You were comfy and ready to TREAT YOURSELF after a hectic night.
You threw your hair in a top knot on top of your head, cleansed your face completely, and put only a touch of makeup on to head downtown to meet with Michelle.
As you began walking down the stairs, you force yourself to look at his reply. You couldn’t believe how anxious you were, you didn’t even have read receipts on.
“God damn babygirl...You’re stunning” is all it said. And instant pulsing hit your core. Then you saw he was typing. You immediately pressed the home button as fast as you could. Abort abort abort!!!!
DING
“I’d do anything to slip that robe right off you and see what else is underneath”
You think of the quickest flirtiest response...
“Would you wanna find out later tonight?” Was the only thing that popped into your head.
“Not sure if I can wait that long...” is all he responded. A fast replier, at that.
Your uber pulls up and you hop in. You couldn’t help but begin to sweat thinking about the heated conversation you were beginning to start.
This would be so hard to cover up at brunch.

A Date with Kiro: The Costume Shop
Howdy folks!
So, I’ve had the idea for dates supporting my oc, Ikamara for some time now but I wanted to go a little farther in her story before trying anything. But now we are at Chapter five so HERE WE GO!!
I also want to use the dates to show off who would be the main fella for the next chapters!! and  SURPRISE!! Kiro will be the main for the next chapter!! :D So excited for this chapter you guys have no idea. And I’ll be able to show it off next week!! Stay tuned~ ;P
-Ike and Bar Productions
Setting: Right after the happenings of Chapter four. Ike has a weekend off so she spends it investigating some leads on the Montu case.
To understand some details about the Montu case, feel free to read Chapter one, part one of my fanfiction here! If you’re just here for the sake of a Kiro date, enjoy your stay! You don’t have to read the fanfiction to understand what is happening but it would make more sense! :D
Warnings: There are none. Unless you have a problem with tight clothing and/or cute gay moments.
Date with Kiro: Costume Shop
"Sorry, mam. Like I said before, we don’t sell that here.”
I pouted, dropping the mask in my hand slightly. I had made a goal to visit all of the costume shops in Loveland city, searching for the mask Montu had sent me, hoping to find one that had sold it. But the city only had three costume shops, and I had been through all them before ten on a Saturday.
Sensing my disappointment, the shop owner continued, “If it would make you feel better, you can have a look around. I don’t know. Maybe they took something apart from my store to make it.” I thought a moment, then nodded, shoving the mask into my messenger bag. I turned and looked around the shop. It was small but jam packed full of strange outfits and costumes. Some of which seemed to be vintage. This intrigued me.
I had barely taken one step into the store before a buzzing came from my pocket. I pulled it out and froze.
It was Kiro.
I still hadn’t quite accepted the fact that the Kiro was now one of my frequent connections. But there he was, calling me on a Saturday like we were actual friends… at least I hoped we were. Maybe I was just a question he was trying to answer. After all, how we met left a lot to the imagination.
Without wanting to waste anymore time, I quickly answered the call.
“Speaking.” I said, as casual as I could.
“Hey Super Stranger! How are you?”
Instantly my sour mood disappeared as Kiro’s happy voice filled my ears. Kiro had given me that nickname when I had saved him from a car accident. I had my motorcycle helmet on so he couldn’t see my face very well. He had called me his hero and had given me a nickname to commemorate it. And, though the nickname was corny, it never ceased to bring butterflies to my stomach. “I’m alright.” I mused, walking further into the store as I spoke, “How are you?”
“I’m great!” Kiro sang, “Guess what?”
“... What?” I asked, my smile faltering slightly.
“I found this amazing little stand that serves the best drinks! You’ve gotta come try it!”
“What- Now?” I scoffed.
“Yeah!” Kiro sang, “I don’t know when they are closing so it has to be now!”
“I’m a little busy with work.” I said, pulling at various costumes from their racks, “I don’t think I’d be able to leave it so easily.”
“You work on the weekends?” Kiro laughed slightly.
“Well superheroing isn’t really a part time gig!”
“But even superheroes need breaks!”
“Yeah, well, crime never rests.”
“But they make an amazing hot chocolate! They add espresso for extra flavor!”
The mention of coffee instantly changed my attitude.
“What do you say? Just one drink!” Kiro’s pleas increasingly became higher pitched, as if he was a child promising to do chores for a piece of candy.
Before I could say another word, a scream came from Kiro’s end of the phone. “Oh no.” Kiro whispered with dread on his tongue, “I’ve been spotted! I’ll text you the address and you can just meet me here!”
“Are you sure that’s a good-”
“No time to talk!” Kiro hurriedly said, “Gotta go! Later Stranger!” And with that, he hung up the phone. I looked down at the phone, shaking my head uselessly at it. Despite the disapproval I felt, a smile still crept it’s way up my lips. There was no way of saying no to that man.
With new found motivation, I searched the variety of costumes for anything pertaining to Montu. Without realizing it, I had begun looking through the superhero suits. As I scanned the clothes, I pulled out a particularly familiar looking costume. My foster brother, Sam, and I used to watch old cartoons from CDs that our foster father kept in his attic. There were a thousand collections to pick from but one cartoon in particular truly piqued our interest.
Boot Fever.
It was about a group of superheroes that fought villains who tried taking over their already crumbling city. It was a very old show with a very old premise but, man did Sam and I eat it up. From the characters to the animation to even the terrible voice acting, we watched that show late into the night. I may not have had great memories of my childhood, but those memories are ones I would take to my grave.
I thought the show had long been forgotten but there I was, holding the main protagonist’s outfit. Her name was Red Sparrow. Her super power was to be able to transform her body into anything she thought of.  Sam compared her to me all the time. Though the only point he could connect us to was the fact she was strong. Because, other than that, we were complete opposites. She was very dramatic and in tune with her emotions. Not to mention her suit was extremely form fitting. And, at the time, the tightest thing in my closet was my yoga pants. Even then they would be paired with an oversized sweatshirt and a flannel around my waist.
Past all of that, I loved the fact that she wore a full face mask. It resembled the face of the bird she was named after and, though the design was simple, made her character a big hit in her time. Women's appearances in shows in that time were based solely on how revealing they were. Red sparrow seemed to take that and turn it on it’s head. Her jumpsuit completely covered her whole body, hiding her identity completely.
I plucked off the mask from the top hanger and turned it over in my hands. No one would know it was her unless they took it off. She was a mystery. I longed to be that mystery ever since I was a kid-
A loud bang came from the front door. I ducked behind the clothes rack, immediately bracing for a fight. Instead, I was met with the sound of someone panting heavily. “Welcome in, sir.” The owner of the shop said sarcastically, “Is there something I can help you find?” Curiosity overlapping my shock, I peered around the rack.
There, weakly leaning on the door, was Kiro. He had his eyes closed as he gasped for air. He was in his usual disguise of sunglasses and a black hoodie, but the hoodie’s armpits looked to be drenched in sweat as his sunglasses slid down his equally wet face.
I quickly sunk back behind the rack, frozen in fear. Kiro can’t be here! I screamed in my head, If he tried talking to me he’d know I was Super Stranger! Then I would only disappoint him by being some lowly tv show producer with no regard for feelings! Not to mention, holding a scantily clad costume of an old tv show. I have to act fast.
Looking down at the mask in my hand, a stupid plan came to mind. Not having the time to second guess it, I quickly threw the mask on and pulled the rest of the costume off of it’s hanger. I hurried to the dressing room and pulled the curtain shut, praying that Kiro didn’t notice me go in there. I quickly started stripping down, folding my clothes and shoving them into my messenger bag as I moved.
As I changed, I heard some screaming coming from outside of the small shop.
“I saw him go this way!”
“Quick! Don’t let him go too far!”
Some rustling came from inside the store as Kiro’s familiar voice traveled the air, “Sir, I need a place to hide! Please! Help me!”
I had never heard Kiro so desperate. Half of me wanted to jump out of the dressing room right then to help him. The other half would rather finish getting dressed first.
The latter won.
I pulled on the skin tight suit, regretting it instantly as it squeaked over my skin and tugged at my unshaven leg hairs.
“I don’t know, sir.” the shopkeeper droned, “That sounds rather suspicious to me.”
“I’ll give you my autograph.”
“There is a dressing room over there you can hide in.” The shopkeeper spoke quickly and excitedly. I cursed in a whisper as I picked up my pace. After a moment of pause, quick steps approached my hiding spot. With one last zip of my costume, thankfully from the front, the curtain to the room shot open. Kiro hadn’t looked at me yet, still focused on the door where the screaming had only further increased. But, once he had, his face went completely red.
“I-I’m so sorry!” Kiro stammered, eyes darting straight to the ceiling, “I didn’t know this room was occupied!” A loud bang came from the store’s door again. Without lingering on the awkwardness anymore, I grabbed Kiro’s arm and pulled him into the room. I pushed him into the corner and held a finger to the mask’s beak. Still bushing wildly, Kiro nodded, holding his eyes on my mask all too securely.
High pitched voices rang through the store as they searched the shop. Some of them were questioning the shopkeeper. Others were whining about how small the store was. The sound of metal scraping against metal chimed in the mess of sounds as the girls started searching the clothing racks for him. Soon the interrogating and complaints turned even more sour as they slowly came up with nothing.
Just as I thought we were in the clear, a shadow appeared under the dressing room curtain. “Hey!” A particularly annoying voice called, “Is there anyone in there?!” I froze. Kiro couldn’t answer. He was the person they were looking for! But I couldn’t answer either because Kiro would know I was Super Stranger!
“Hello?!” The girl impatiently called. I felt Kiro’s eyes on me.
I sighed.
“Occupied.” I resolutely boomed. The shadow flickered.
“S-sorry!” She said, obviously startled by my voice. The shadow quickly disappeared. Avoiding Kiro’s eyes, I walked over to the curtain and peered out of the room, just in time to watch all the girls leave the store. I sighed once again and straightened myself, letting the curtain fall back into place.
“You should be safe now.” I said, turning back to face Kiro. He was staring at me wide eyed and mouth agape. His face had significantly returned to it’s normal hue, if not for a slight blush on his cheeks.
“S-Super Stranger?!” He scoffed, finally letting his eyes stray from my face and to my body. I folded my arms and popped my hip.
“Eyes up here, chief.” I deadpanned, signalling for him to adjust his gaze. He did so, his blush rushing back through his face.
“Sorry!” He chuckled nervously, pulling his eyes from me completely, “I just never thought you’d have such a…”
“Yes?”
“... Such a love for such an old show! I mean, how old do you have to be to know who Red Sparrow is?!”
“Apparently not old at all.” I walked over to Kiro and tilted my head so our eyes met, “Suggesting that the twenty-three year old Kiro knows about it.” Kiro tensed. Then he laughed, releasing some of the obvious tension that rode on his shoulders. He looked at me adoringly through the mask.
“I can’t believe it, Super Stranger! You saved me again!” Kiro raised his arms. I held a hand out.
“They were just some fangirls.” I insisted, pushing Kiro backward, “No big deal.”
“Of course it’s a big deal! Who knows what they would have done if they caught me! Let me make it up to you.”
“That isn’t necessary.”
“Come on it’s the least I can do! Hey! That drink stand I was telling you about isn’t too far from here! Let’s go there!”
“And how do you expect to get out of here with those girls looking for you?” I asked, folding my arms again. Kiro’s eyes flickered back to my body. Then, a strange emotion sparked in his eyes as he let them linger there.
“I just need a new disguise!” He said rubbing his hands together. I slowly looked down at my outfit.
“... If you think you’re getting this-”
“No, this shop is full of costumes! I wonder…” Kiro walked past me, being careful not to touch me. He paused at the curtain, checking that the coast was clear, then he moved out of the room. I had only been alone for a couple of minutes until Kiro had returned, costume in hand. I froze.
In his hands was the costume of Complex Cell, the sidekick to Red Sparrow. He could duplicate himself up to a thousand times and not break a sweat, easily confusing the enemy long enough to take them down. He also just so happened to be Red Sparrow’s love interest.
“What are you doing?” I asked, even though I already knew the answer.
“What do you mean, Sparrow?!” Kiro beamed.
>>>
“I can pay, Kiro.”
“Who is this Kiro?!” Kiro boomed, handing the shop owner his card, “For I am COMPLEX CELL!!” I rolled my eyes. The moment Kiro had put on the costume it was like he had completely disappeared, only to be replaced by Complex Cell. The overly confident, motivating, annoyingly positive sidekick of a superhero… so in reality not much had changed other than how he spoke, which was cute at first but it got boring quick.
“Come, dear Sparrow!” Kiro laced his arm into mine, “Hot chocolate awAITS US!!” He took his card and skipped out of the store, pulling me closely behind him.
The moment I stepped out of the store, I immediately felt the eyes of the world on me. I may have been comfortable with my body but I had never been that exposed before. I normally would be wearing at least a jacket but now…
“Hey.” Kiro tugged on my arm, “You ok, Sparrow?”
“I’m not Red Sparrow.” I said through my teeth, “Do you realize how much we stand out?! Everyone’s staring!”
“The sidewalk is practically empty.”
“Emphasis on practically.”
“Stranger,” Kiro laughed and tapped my arm lightly, “You’ve got nothing to worry about. Remember, you’re not the only one dressed up like this! I’ve got your back! Besides, you look amazing!”
My heart leaped through my throat, “... You really think so?”
“Of course!” Kiro looked down at me. His mask only covered the top half of his face, exposing his glistening smile, “I’m disappointed more people aren’t looking! More people need to see how amazing you look!” I elbowed Kiro in the side but still felt the uneasiness lift from my shoulders. There was nothing Kiro would say that could make me hate him.
“Red Sparrow!?”
Kiro halted in his steps and spun around. A small child smiled brightly at Kiro and me. She was tugging at her father’s jacket, pointing at us excitedly. “Dad! Dad, look!! It’s Red Sparrow and Complex Cell!” Kiro released my arm and struted confidently towards the kid.
“Hello, dear child!” Kiro boomed, , smiling brightly and laughing dramatically as he knelt to the little girl’s eye level, “I see you have spotted Sparrow and I! But I am very surprised that someone as pretty as you could know about us!”
“I watched you guys win battles with my mom!” The girl giggled, blushing at Kiro’s shining face, “I really like how you guys save the day! Everyday! I especially like Red Sparrow.” The girl looked hopefully up to me, “She’s my favorite!”
“Well today is your lucky day!” Kiro turned to look at me as well, smile somehow brighter than before, “Isn’t it, Sparrow??” I looked between the two of them, frozen in place. I know what Kiro wants. He wants Red Sparrow. But I'm not Red Sparrow! I’m Ike. The horrible, cold, distant-
A sparkle flashed across the little girl’s eyes. A sparkle I was all too familiar with…
I sighed.
“My dear adventurer!!” My voice jumped to action as I threw my hands in the air and cat-walked over to the girl, “I am honored to be considered your favorite superhero! Pray tell, just how are you doing this fine day?” I knelt down next to Kiro and posed for the girl. Her face lit up beautifully, smiling brighter than even Kiro. Before I could say anymore, she ran into my arms, wrapping her arms around my neck tightly and nearly tipping me over. I kept my arms out, looking to Kiro for any kind of help he could give me. He merely grinned, flashing me with adoring eyes. I frowned uselessly at him. He was no help.
I patted the little girl softly on her back, “M-My! You startled me.” I awkwardly said in Sparrow’s voice, “What’s this for?”
“Last year, my mommy died.” The little girl’s whisper stunned me even further, “She was sick and spent a lot of time in her bed. But we would still spend time together to watch you save the day! She said that she liked you because it didn’t matter what happened to you. You would always make sure the bad guys would lose. And that’s why you’re my favorite! Because you were my mom’s favorite!”
Anything I wanted to say was blocked by a lump forming in my throat. Tidal waves of emotions crashed through my heart as the girl’s grip remained tight around my neck. I may not have had that kind of experience before, nor did I want to experience it, but hearing it come from such a small voice made me feel so bad for her. Like I was next to her on that bed and watching those shows with her mom. The only person I watched those kinds of shows with was Sam and if I were to lose him…
I wrapped my arms around the little girl, pulling her closely to me as I cradled her. “You and your mother have quite an amazing taste.” I said, heroic voice faltering slightly, “But, you should know one thing. I am only a hero because you allow me to be one.” The little girl pulled away from me.
“What do you mean?” She asked, her big eyes filled with curiosity. I smiled lightly and moved my hands so I was holding her arms.
“I am only a hero to protect people like you! Without you, I would be nothing.” I tilted my head and winked at the girl through my mask. The girl shook her head and pushed my hands down.
“That’s not true.” She smiled, “You don’t need someone watching you to do the right thing! You should be able to do it because you know it’s right! That’s what my mom always said!” My finger twitched. Without a moment to waste, the girl turned to her father.
“Daddy! Daddy! Can you take a picture of us!!”

The girl and her father walked joyfully away, leaving Kiro and me in silence. A hand rubbed my back. “You alright, Stranger?” Kiro asked, finally dropping his hero facade.
“... How can a girl that young be so smart?” I asked softly, folding my arms and adjusting my posture to one that better suited me instead of Red Sparrow. Kiro laughed.
“You know, I was thinking the same thing!” He said through a chuckle, “I guess it’s true that wisdom comes from experience.” Kiro’s words left us in another meaningful silence.
“... She reminds me of my foster brother.” I said, my voice trailing slightly. Kiro’s head snapped to me in my peripherals.
“You… were a foster kid?” Kiro asked, tone shifting dramatically.
“We used to watch Boot Fever all the time when we were growing up.” I continued, ignoring Kiro’s question, “He would dress up and pop popcorn because he was so excited to watch it with me.”  I turned and caught Kiro’s sparkling eyes. I rolled my own and shoved him from me.
“Don’t look at me like that.” I deadpanned.
“Stranger!” He said, closing the distance between us again with open arms, “You’re opening up!”
“Yeah, yeah.” I mused, looking round the area we were standing in, “Where is this drink stand you have been raving about?”
“Oh!” Kiro quickly grabbed my hand and pointed behind me. A cute, wooden, mobile drink stand  sat on the other side of the street. Steam wafted up from a false chimney, gracing the cool air with the soft smell of caramel and cinnamon. Two people stood in line for the drinks, but other than that the street was nearly empty. “Luckily for us, those girls didn’t see me at the stand.” Kiro excitedly said into my ear, “And there is no line! Let’s go!” Kiro pushed against my back. I quickly swatted him away and started walking to the stand on my own. Kiro quickly followed, clapping his hands together like an eager child.
The couple at the stand left with their drinks, leaving room for Kiro and me to walk up. The woman manning the stand looked me up and down. A charming smile flashed on her lips. “Red Sparrow?” She asked, leaning on the counter and arching an eyebrow.
“Barista?” I asked, folding my arms again. She laughed and stood up straight.
“No need to get defensive, Red.” The barista said, “You look good!” A sharp blush struck my cheeks. Arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me backwards and into a chest.
“I know, right?!” Kiro giddily chimed, rubbing his head into my shoulder. I rolled my eyes and flicked Kiro’s forehead. He whined and pulled away from me to rub his head. The barista chuckled and turned to her drinks.
“So, what will it be, heroes?” She asked, avoiding any more eye contact with me. I looked at the menus on the side of the stand, then at Kiro.
“... I’ll have an iced caramel macchiato, subed with white chocolate mocha, coconut milk, and a mocha drizzle.”
Kiro and the barista looked at me in shocked silence. I turned calmly to Kiro. “Anything you’d like to add, Cap?” I asked Kiro casually. His look of astonishment never faltered.
“...You really drink that kind of drink?” He asked with a laugh.
“Oh not at all.” I tactlessly chimed, casually looking at the tip of my gloves, “I just told you I was a foster child. I’ve got to throw you off my scent before you figure out my secret identity.”
“Oh a drink order won’t throw me off!” Kiro laughed and casually approached me, “Just you wait! I’ll figure your identity out and we can be heroes together!... Speaking of which,” Kiro leaned forward, eyes shining beautifully, “Did you ever come up with a superhero name for me like you promised?”
I didn’t know if it was how close he was standing to me, the soft aroma of romantic scents, or the fact that he fit into that superhero costume so well, but every word I wanted to say got caught in my throat. All I could do was look him in the eyes. Eyes so gorgeously blue, I could swim in them…
“Hey, Red.”
I snapped to and looked over at the barista. She shook the iced drink in her hand. “You gonna pay for this or make me stand here holding it in the middle of fall?” She asked, tone dripping in annoyance. I cleared my throat and nodded, taking the drink from her.
“As for you, Captain.” I said, regaining my composure as I turned back to Kiro, “Your hero name is one of importance. I will tell you what it is in due time.”
“So in other words, you don’t have one yet.” Kiro sighed, pouting slightly.
“I do too!” I huffed, stepping away from the stand and gesturing to Kiro to follow, “I’m just not going to expose it in a place where everyone is listening!” Kiro laughed and pulled me into a firm side hug.
“Alright Stranger, I’ll let you off this once.” He sighed, pulling me down the street with me by his side, “So what are you up to for the rest of the day! Are you free to hang out?”
“Me?” I scoffed, brushing off Kiro’s hand from my shoulder, “What about you? Does Savin even know you’re out here?”
“Today’s my day off! Which means I’m all yours!... if you’ll have me?” Kiro’s eyes sparkled like diamonds as he awaited my answer. My hand drifted to my messenger bag where a lump graced my fingertips. I dedicated the whole day to finding anything I could about Montu… but I suppose the costume shops were a bust, and I had no other leads to follow…
“... Where to first?” I asked, adjusting the messenger bag on my shoulder. Kiro beamed and laced his arm in mine. With that, we had continued our walk down the street, starting a meaningless conversation and going nowhere in particular. And, for the first time in a while,
I was alright with having no where to go.
