Poetry in the time of isolation

For the first time in the globalised age, everyone is reacting to and in some way affected by a single story - a virus making its way around the earth; and this is the first time in history that we can speak about our experiences to people all over the globe as it happens.

I've recently been reading about other plagues and epidemics in history. A century ago, as the first world war was raging and coming to an end for some, the Spanish Flu took more lives in a shorter time than the war took in its four years, a sum which could have been many times more than 50 million people. Nobody really knows exactly where that flu came from, although anyone who knows what life was like in the trenches wouldn't be too surprised of its potential to spread. However, the first cases of the flu were in military forts in the USA, and may have spread to Europe from there. It was only called the 'Spanish' Flu because Spain was neutral in the first world war, and therefore its press was more free - Spanish newspapers reported on the flu accurately, unlike every other combating power who didn't want to demoralise their troops with the mass death that was occurring, not at the hands of enemy soldiers, but a common enemy to all combatants - the appalling conditions that they were fighting in, the ideal way for a virus to wreak havoc.

This time around, calling the virus the Coronavirus, or Covid-19, is more sensible, as much as demagogues like Trump may want to call it the 'Chinese virus'. It seems to have been past from bats (like Ebola) to pangolins, which were sold in wet markets in Wuhan in China, to humans, but as is always the case, these origins remain murky, and often disgusting. These markets are unregulated by the government, as animals from all over the world can be imported there, where they languish in the most awful conditions - not to feed the poor, but as a sort of trophy food for the rich; and that's why many countries are in on the game, letting their merchants illegally export rare, often endangered, often hunted animals to the wet markets.

The Chinese government had tried to crack down on this after previous outbreaks of SARS, including in 2002, but it has proved difficult to rein in the peculiar tastes of the new rich, and of trophy hunters around the globe. Hopefully they learn from the crisis and regulate or eliminate the trading practices of their wet markets. In the mean time, it seems they have controlled the outbreak very well once it happened, and now they are sending doctors to Italy, alongside more recent help from Russia and Cuba, to help with the Italian government's much less successful attempts to control the spread. Unfortunately, as we saw with Ebola, these viruses can pop up every few years just about anywhere, especially, it seems, where there are bats. But I don't know enough about the transmissions from animal to human to write more about this. What i'm most interested in are past examples of how human communities and their governments have tried to shield their vulnerable from plagues and pandemics.

The most interesting example I found was from when the plague came to Italy almost 400 years ago, in the autumn of 1629. This of course is especially relevant as, from the day of this post, Italy is the worst affected of all countries by the virus, which poses a number of questions - Why Italy? Because they have one of the oldest populations? Because there is more inter-generational living than in many other countries? Because of just simple bad luck, for example a virus spreading through catholic mass, hour upon hour upon hour, so that by time it was realised to be a problem, it was already too late?

The reason the reaction to the 1629 plague interests me, is because it shows the importance of government and community reaction to a pandemic - it can make all the difference. Italy had a number of different city states, so we can compare their reaction, and although such comparisons are never perfect, they are some of the best we have. For example, in Verona 61% of people died - in Milan, 46%, in Venice - 33%, and in Florence? 12%. So what did the Sanità, the city of Florence's health board, and government, do so well that they greatly lessened the death toll in comparison to other cities in Italy? One reason this is an especially interesting question is because 12% seems to be around the average mortality figure for the coronavirus (especially among countries with an ageing population and/or a fractured health care system).

What did the Sanità in Florence do then, in the plague year of 1629? They arranged the delivery of food, wine and firewood to the homes of the quarantined (30,452 of them). Each quarantined person received a daily allowance of two loaves of bread and half a boccale (around a pint) of wine. On Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays, they were given meat. On Tuesdays, they got a sausage seasoned with pepper, fennel and rosemary. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, rice and cheese were delivered; on Friday, a salad of sweet and bitter herbs. Every morning, hundreds of people in the lazaretti were prescribed theriac concoctions, liquors mixed with ground pearls or crushed scorpions, and bitter lemon cordials. The Sanità also devolved some tasks to the city’s confraternities. The brothers of San Michele Arcangelo conducted a housing survey to identify possible sources of contagion; the members of the Archconfraternity of the Misericordia transported the sick in perfumed willow biers from their homes to the lazaretti. But mostly, the city government footed the bill, and making use of its own police force, court and prison – also punished those who broke quarantine. Its court heard 566 cases between September 1630 and July 1631, with the majority of offenders – 60 per cent – arrested, imprisoned, and later released without a fine. A further 11 per cent were imprisoned and fined, rich and poor alike.

Some of this account would even sound impressive now (especially the pint of wine a day!). It must have been like a revelation to the poor for them to realise that something like this was possible - that the people around them who were thirsty or hungry didn't have to be. It shows how a crisis can destroy the previous idea of normalcy and replace it with a totally new normal. In Britain, for example, the Conservative Party for years laughed at the spending plans proposed by the Labour opposition, ridiculed them as the mad schemes of communists, and every day ad infinitum posed the question on television - but how will you pay for it? Doesn't it all seem very unrealistic?

And now look where we are - our governments are spending more money to cope with this crisis than anyone had ever suggested, millions and millions of people's wages are being payed as a sort of Universal Basic Income, and it suddenly turns out that it would have been a very good thing if everyone had free and fast public broadband after all, now that it is apparent that everyone needs and deserves good communication during this pandemic, not only for them to communicate with their loved ones, but also so they can access the right information. Homeless people in London have been given hotel rooms at no cost. People are coordinating in their communities to help the elderly and the vulnerable, to bring them their groceries so they never have to leave the house. Many countries have nationalised their entire private hospital network, to give their beds to the infected. Look at how Korea and Taiwan have reacted to this crisis, for example, and then compare it to European countries. Many government's have not yet gone far enough, and will need to go further over the coming months to cope with the crisis as it unfolds, and as usual the British and the American governments are some of the most reluctant, not just to foot the bill, but to make what was previously thought impossible, possible after all. If they show, in direct counterbalance to the last decade of austerity, that they had the money to do this all along, it might cause them some problems afterwards. But they have no choice - we are living now in a new normal, and all the old economic orthodoxy has been thrown out the window.

In a time of crisis like this, it suddenly becomes apparent that doctors, cleaners, supermarket staff, food and public sector workers, and in this case also postmen and delivery workers, are the lynchpins of society. It's a shame we haven't spent the less 10 years looking after them a bit better, and perhaps because of this, many more people will lose their lives than should have done if we had started looking after them earlier. There's still a very high possibility that the NHS in Britain could break under the pressure. Unfortunately, we don't have as many doctors are we could have had. There isn't much of an incentive for the young to train to become doctors or nurses, with such pitiful pay and long hours. But there are still many selfless souls who take it upon themselves to make the sacrifice - nevertheless, most of my friends who studied medicine and care had to leave the UK to continue their studies after school, countries where they are now helping in this crisis as junior doctors. They simply couldn't afford the university and accommodation costs in the UK.

As we all begin to adjust to this new normal, and as it becomes clearer that the old world can never be brought back again, perhaps from now on we can fix some of our mistakes and prepare better, so that when the next crisis comes along, we don't find that the people who keep our society going were kicked out of it by the rest of us a long time ago. And as we come out of the crisis, with millions, even billions, of unemployed all over the world, remember then how it was possible to pay people's wages even when they weren't working. If we are against all visionary thinking, then we are also against the NHS, the 8 hour working day, and public parks and free museums. They were utopian ideas once, and in many countries, they still are. What will be normal afterwards? Our reaction now will define the future we can create. Our breadth of vision will determine whether or not we demand its creation.

Poison injection horrible rash attack update:

Photo was taken at about 2:50 pm on 5-2-2021 ... a few minuted ago.

There is absence of healing.

The condition has been that way, slightly changing over time, since mid February.

The poison substance, there is no doubt, was some kind of acid. I don’t know what kind of acid. It’s not battery acid as I first suspected, as my clothing would have been shredded around the wound area, and the clothing is not shredded.

I know it was/is acid because I was able to neutralize the acid by drinking some baking soda with water over the past few days. That immediately changed the way the rash and especially the pain, is affecting me.

After a few days, and a total of about ten teaspoons of baking soda at a rate of one teaspoon mixed with six ounces of water, give or take some ,,,, the pain of burning flesh is gone. I still feel a little bit of burning from the acid after I massage my leg and it gets stirred around within, but only a tiny bit compared to the incredible acid burn I have been subject to over the past two months and more.

Baking soda neutralizes acid.

I bought and consumed some baking soda in anticipation of neutralizing the acid that was injected into my leg in February. Maybe another six or three teaspoons of baking soda, and all of the acid, I suspect, will have been neutralized.

There is absence of healing, increase in swelling, but I am able to tolerate the use of the neo-sporin now. Before, the pain was unbearable with application of neo-sporin.

It’s been since Wednesday that I started the Baking Soda treatment, and since Friday that I felt I could tolerate the neo-sporin.

Only three days of neo-sporin has produced dramatic results as far as the amount of poisons that are oozing out of those wounds. The poisons are dripping out of my leg at all of the wounds now.

Big problem is that the poisons are heavy, gravity takes the poison down into my foot, and it settles in my toes. It’s very difficult to get the poisons out of the toes and into the open wound so it can drain out, and is very painful to massage the area in effort to produce drainage.

At the Walgreen‘s on Wednesday, I defended against many terror soldiers, and of all of the fighting I can recall having to do, that day at Walgreens was the bloodiest fight I can remember, there was blood everywhere at the pharmacy counter by the time I left the store.

While fighting there, I was subject to more ground up glass dust shards that were blown into my eyes by the terror bastard bitch that works the pharmacy counter there. I have a lot of glass shards in my eyes again now, is very painful, makes vision difficult and blurry, in addition to the poisons that are still leaking out of my eyes also.

The terror bastard at the Walmart my last visit there, broke my toe, so, I have compound injury there with the swelling, the poison, and now the toe is broken too.

“Chip away at the stone” terror is when the terror army makes small objectives to cause repeated injury to a marked victim for COVID attack. I am being subject to much “Chip away at the stone” terror techniques.

There are no doctors in Oregon. The hospitals are controlled, occupied, by the terror army. US Citizens are drawn to the hospitals with COVID bullshit. The terror army uses repeated poisonings and attack to produce injury in effort to draw victims to a hospital where they are killed, but the hospital bills the insurance as a cover, and as a profit center.

There are no records of any one having been killed, the victims are replaced with imposters who take their places at the victims home, and prey on extended family of the hospitalized/murdered US Citizen victims.

As I keep saying, the command orders for advancing the terror army with marching orders and updates is done mostly by major news media accounts on Twitter, by famous and “trusted” news media personalities.

I want to advise, in absence of taking Twitter offline as is required to preserve USA, to watch for more news about the “shortage of chips”, “shortage of semiconductors” and so on.

I suggest those stories be looked at as instructions to the terror army to do what has been done to me, small, repeated, relentless attack over time in effort to cause injury, pain, physical need to see a doctor, and also, includes financial hardship attack methods. All in effort to weaken the marked victims, while at the same time, such “Chip Away at the Stone” terror tactics is done in a way that minimizes danger or exposure to the terror army soldiers. They are able to strike with minimal risk while producing damage to the marked victims, each repeated blow causes more compounded injury and hardship to the US Citizens while the Canadian terror army soldiers and their SAG media commanders enjoy safety and are not subject to COVID or Corona Virus related hardship in any way, they are not subject to financial hardship because all of the army’s supplies, housing, food, clothing, transportation and every other thing is all paid for, supplied by the SAG media leadership, including the very best medical health treatment,

Public Safety Announcement:

I have no doubt that many other people have been attacked with the injection of acid as I was attacked. It’s important to me, that I also remind readers about what I remember about the night that I was attacked in my home, and the revealing evidence that you can see for yourself in the photos I have shared here during this difficult and painful time, and that is there were two poisons injected into my leg with one, single weapon that seems to have been developed specifically for injecting double poison simultaneously. The way the weapon looked in the dark, and in motion as I was repeatedly struck with it, is that I can somehow associate the way the weapon operated was similar to the way a staple hammer operates. The kind of thing I am thinking about is a tool used by roofing installers, and others who need to staple felt paper to a roof, or for stapling underlayment siding vapor barrier on a wall. The weapon was longer, was not exactly a staple hammer, but what I did see seemed to operate the same way, except rather than drive a staple upon impact, the thing had syringes inside, each impact injected TWO kinds of poison side by side, and the initial wounds were a pair of very small holes in the skin, spaced about one-half to three-quarters of an inch apart from one another, each hole is where a needle impaled the skin, and is where the poisons were injected. The assailant seemed to know how to place the impact such that the poison would run down the tendon or muscle that is central on the shin, and the assailant seems to have known that the poison substance is heavy, and will move down with gravity, eating away at the muscle tissue with gravity, thus, the poison has created a number of channels within my leg, places where the poison has made it’s own river bed with witch to travel as I change my position from standing, to sitting, to laying down. The poison repeatedly followed the same paths within my leg, destroying tissue over time, such that when I stand up after laying down, I can feel the liquid poison move down my leg within. I feels as though a nest of pinch bugs is moving around inside my leg... very creepy.

So, TWO kinds of poisons.

I only know for sure that one at least, is acid of some kind, an acid that is heavy and eats flesh, but does not eat the blood vessels.

I don‘t know what the other poison is.

The Public Service Announcement I want to make to others who may have been attacked this same way is that, as mentioned, baking soda neutralizes acid, and when I mixed it with some water and drank it, the result was immediate relief from some of the pain within about four hours, and as I used more baking soda, it was clear to me that I was doing the right thing, the pain decreased by 90%. Today, the acid pain is only minimal, and only happens when I elevate my leg to get some of the poison out of my foot and to move it towards the open wounds so it will leak out.

What I need to say, is DO NOT PUT THE BAKING SODA INTO THE WOUND!

Trust me, it was a bad idea to put the baking soda directly onto the open sores. That shit hurt as bad as the acid did when I did it, so, just drink some with water, it only takes a few teaspoons over a three day time to see and feel remarkable results.

Don‘t go to the hospital if you are attacked this way. If you get attacked with the injection of acid, that means your local medical facilities are in control of the Canadian terror army, and that is the reason for the injection, they need the victims to be at the hospital, that way, the terror army has many options to say why you died, or to keep your death secret, and just replace you with impostor. Once in the hospital, the terror army actors will tell you that you have some terminal ailment, and they will advise that you call your family to come to the hospital.

They will kill and replace your whole family, and, bill the insurance for a profit.

Don‘t put the baking soda on the wound, mix one teaspoon with a cup of water and drink it three times per day for three days. After that, use half teaspoon as needed with water.

The decrepit Jack Goh and the condos Rat infested apartments requires serious investigation.

People will die here due to the Rats and the insanity of its locals. My life is at this time over and death awaits unless I get help. I am only planning for March 31 2018 - simply as I have to contact as many people that I can in advance of my physically in person showing up at an Embassy or Consulate or Commission in Kuala Lumpur. FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL REFUGEE STATUS.

Malaysia Medical system or any so called legitimized system is defunct, chaotic, dysfunctional, corrupt a dazzling look into what may be a modern Hell. I was denied Medical Help from anyone - I was dismissed and sent packing to so many Doctors and Medical centers - hospitals - they all denied that any treatment was available. That no drugs were available - No doctors were deemed qualified enough and not a member of their staff. Don't worry there are virtually months of Blogs and Vblogs shot at the crime scenes, if you will.

I had documented this and tried to video these encounters - I did get verbal confirmation by 3 doctors - that it was the Doctors unwritten ethos to treat visitors to Malaysia. They laughed as they told me - That I must understand that due to the many medical crises that the Visitors bring - The paper work - the Medical staff considerable lack of Medical experience and language skills as well as the Malaysians penchant to do has much harm as possible to all.

This was told to me by Malaysians who after I explained my experience - they were delighted to tell me - Welcome to Malaysia. This is well known in local culture and they explained to me details that I had not shared with them. Its de rigeur to behave with this hostility. Plus the targeting of Foreigners by the locals looking to extort $ or harm these visitors. It is a vile country.

I simply am too physically damaged to endure a lengthy interrogation of any kind. People will not understand so much of this Ordeal and as verbose as I am ... my audience will be utterly confused and create Harm. . Why? The Following reasons are the underlying causes of this spectacular situation. (1) Any Citizen from a cultured society with Progressive Consular Laws, protects the rights of its Citizens and therefore anyone from England, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand Scotland, Ireland, USA etc. These citizens are protected by Laws that Canada has refused to and in fact submits its traveling citizenry to extraordinary situations that often end up incarceration in a foreign country and death.

The Law is The Maple Crown's The King's Prerogative and the Mercy Prerogative that gives Justin Trudeau the privilege of ? sparing my life or sentencing me to a painful death. . Its an extraordinary piece of ancient Law that places TRUDEAU above the Laws of Canada or even The Commonwealth.

The Only 2 powers that can nullify this abomination of the Law is The Queen of England, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and her also overwhelming Laws of Prerogative, But Her Majesty is also the Queen of Canada and those of the Commonwealth that her faces grace the countries monies. The second is The Vatican - Pope Francis and the Holy See have access to The Rome Laws that support my petition against Justin Trudeau. Seeking my death is against all Humanitarian Laws including those of Canada. In fact it states that Trudeau has placed himself above the Laws of GOD.

The Literature I read in regards to JT interpretation of this law is that he prefers that Canadian Citizens who like me are attacked are imprisoned or in this case die in a Country with worse Human rights laws. This gives Trudeau the unprecedented ability to choose whose life may be saved or NOT. This 1 Billion $ Consular Fund set aside for any issues that Canadian Citizens. So I go to the left and the left and gas it a little bit, I was going like 10 mph as I was taking off, and the light turns yellow, I cross the crosswalk, then the light turns red and I drive under the set of lights.. These 2 bike cops came immediately after me... So long story short, it was my first time being pulled over, I took the seatbelts off, and I ran the red light because there was a guy pulling into a parking stop right in front of me and I was too worried looking around afraid I was going to hit a jaywalking tourists. I know people always think they're right, but I honestly think I didn't do anything wrong here. I got a $25 seat belt fine and a warning for running the red light, which is complete BS. Messi, Bravo, Ryan Mason and luck and confidence in football

Football, as I have said so often, while the most beautiful of games can be the cruellest of sports. This morning as he lies in a bed in the neuro-surgery unit of St Mary's Hospital in London no one will know that better than poor Ryan Mason, the Hull midfielder, who suffered a fractured skull following an accidental clash of heads with Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill. The thoughts, prayers and hopes for a speedy recovery will reach him from all the corners of the world and from players from the very, very top to the bottom, though no less, admirable, rung of football's ladder. They will know just how huge a part kismet or luck, fate or chance - call it what you will - play in defining their careers and therefore their lives. Ryan is a fairly extreme example of that lottery or Russian roulette that ultimately shapes everyones' lives, including those of footballers. Football is one of those situations where, as the old saying has it, the devil is very much in the detail, sometimes to the player's benefit, other times to his or her detriment. The minor Tourettes Syndrome and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) suffered by former Everton goalkeeper, Tim Howard, has been well documented. It did not stop him from making an excellent career for himself both for the clubs and country(USA) that he represented with such distinction. He is now a leading light in the campaign to increase awareness surrounding the conditions and battle people's prejudices about them. He would understand about that because it came perilously close to costing him his own career. Tim, had just enjoyed an excellent season and was at the very peak of his form when a new goalkeeping coach arrived at Everton with new ideas and methods that he was looking to instil into the club's goalkeepers. The results were disastrous. It was not a case of attitude, nor approach; in training no one had a better and more concentrated focus than Tim Howard. Neither was it the stubborn notion that things SHOULDN'T be done like that, but rather that, in Tim's world, things simply COULDN'T be done like that. It was not about making choices, there were no choices, there was no other way of doing his job than the way he had been doing it all his career. What followed was a goalkeeper that started making stupid, nonsensical, inexplicable errors and fortunately the penny dropped with the club. If they were to get the best from their goalkeeper then he needed to train EXACTLY as he had been doing for the previous 10 years otherwise he was, quite simply, not fit for purpose. Tim got lucky, the club understood and it was the coach that had to change his methodology and immediately Tim's form returned. A less reasoned approach would have seen the curtain come down on what had been an excellent career. Everton's foresight and the coach's flexibility saved the day. Which brings me to the case of the differing fortunes of two former teamates at Barcelona, Leo Messi and Claudio Bravo, now at Manchester City. Against Eibar, Messi was once again a quantum leap above anyone else on the pitch; so complete a player putting on so dominant a performance that the words of Chapi Ferrer that we will only really appreciate what we are seeing here and now when he stops playing, ring loud and clear. In the words of Joni Mitchell, " Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone.” When Busquets was injured he helped more in the build up to the plays, was seen more in the centre than on the wings and his own goal was a master class in just about evey aspect of attacking playing from creating the space, starting the move, timing the run and administering the coup de grace. It was the cherry, the creme de la creme nestled on the top of a sumptuous cake mixed, baked, iced and dished up by the very best footballer there has ever been. But we need to ask ourselves one question. Why is he so good? There are many reasons from natural ability to an insatiable desire and work ethic that can help him to be - and remain - the very best. And just as importantly he has been at just the one club and, metaphorically speaking, has his feet well and truly under the table. He is understood by those around him who now how to deal with him and he how knows what is required of him. But still we hear the cry; could he do in the Premier League? Trite nonsense; of course he could, and in fact does on a fairly regular basis in the Champions League against clubs from all over Europe, including the PL. Now of course after a slight hiccup, Barcelona are now in a situation where they know they are going to have to put an offer on the table to guaranteee he stays in Catalonia. More importantly, Barcelona now come to that table in a weaker position following the crass proclamations from Oscar Grau that Barcelona needed to keep 'a cool head' in negotiating with Messi and Pere Gratacos that Messi wouldn't be as good as he was, were it not for the players that he had around him. Barcelona are in a corner; they know it, so do the players, coaches and fans and needless to say, so do Messi and his team who must currently feel they have just bought a lottery ticket containing six winning numbers and a bonus ball. A team that could not have orchestrated the score better and who you sense have only one question that they need to answer when negotiations open, namely "How much do you want." As good as things are for Leo, over in Manchester it's a different story for his former team mate the unfortunate Claudio Bravo where the footballing vagaries of fate seem to be dealing him a far dodgier hand. The worst of the situation in my opinion is not Bravo's form per se, although heaven knows it is worrying, but rather the press and public's perception of it. "Claudio Bravo is crap," I hear on a fairly regular basis, many times from people who should know better; an unhelpful, inaccurate, ignorant four word analysis on a professional footballer who won the league in Chile before he became a legend at Real Sociedad, won two league titles, two Spanish Cups and a Champions league with Barcelona, the Zamora award for best goalkeeper in La Liga in 2014-15 as well as the Copa America with Chile for the past two years where he was voted goalkeeper of the tournament on both occasions. Claudio Bravo may not be in a good place at the moment, he may be very close to losing his place in the City first team, he is almost certainly very low on confidence and what he needs more than anything else is help to re-build that confidence and return as the goalkeeper that he has shown throught the years that he undoubtedly is. Claudio Bravo is undoubtedly many things; what he is not is 'crap' and to describe him as such is as outrageous as it is disrespectful and counter productive. What is inescapable, however, is that out of the last 23 shots on target against Manchester City 14 have registered on the scoreboard. The truth is that he is not stopping as many efforts on his goal as perhaps he should. Caballero will play the next game because it is an FA Cup match and then after that it might be time to take stock, give him one or two more games and if he fails to come out of the trough he is in for whatever reason plan a course of action which may well mean he has to give way to Caballero. Claudio would argue that he hasn't exactly been helped either by an extremely generous Manchester City defence or by being in a side that really needs to be stronger in both boxes to be realistic title challengers. Deep down though, the bottom line is that he should be stopping more of what is coming in his direction and this will be affecting his confidence. As with Tim Howard at Everton, and let me point out here that David de Gea was also deemed as 'crap' by many fans when he first came to Manchester United, what Claudio needs is the help of everyone at the club to re-build his confidence, go back to basics. Confidence, and the lack of it, is not so much a two way street as a racetrack. Messi goes into new contract negotiations with his cup running over with it while poor Claudio will feel there is a hole in his side where it is draining out of him. Sport, keen as it is to look at any complicated situation and describe it in as few words as possible, defines this as 'choking', effectively losing because of one's failure to adequately perform the most basic tasks that up to now have brought success. Duties, normally carried out instinctively, (catching a cross, hitting a tennis ball over the net, sinking a three foot putt, slotting over a conversion in front of the posts etc) begin to suffer what the experts refer to as 'analysis paralysis'. Effectively a return to that early part of your life when you were learning how to do what you have been doing on auto pilot seemingly for ever and a day - until now. This is where sports psychologists earn their corn. It is their function to make everyone feel at home, in their comfort zone, to regain the instinctive qualities that took them to the top. No player is immune from the random devil that is choking or from the lottery that can turn everything on its head in a heartbeat - ask Ryan Mason.
