DISTRACTIONS were always a welcome tactic in battle & birthday celebrations. he had given suguru his undivided attention in the morning deciding to wake him up with the surprise of birthday kiss that turned into tangled limbs & breathy moans. there were a slew of i love yous before satoru decided to let shoko take him off his hands for lunch. it was a diversion as he finished the final touches at the restaurant he had reserved, satoru was able to convince the owner to section off a part of the rooftop for just the two of them.

a text is swiftly sent with ease about the location of their private dinner: rooftop bar at andaz tokyo. in his hand were three bags: his birthday present ( containing a new bottle of his favorite hair oil, a dior card holder since suguru's wallet was giving him anxiety, & a dior black zip hoodie ), the black sesame chiffon cake from their bakery, & his own bag. he watches as someone presses the button for him & he enters.

there's moments when his nerves get him, his heart is racing since there's anticipation for how suguru would react. satoru would have opted for a night in, but he's fond of grander gestures, & he wants to show off suguru on his instagram page without a second thought. the elevator ride dings as he reaches his floor & he makes his way to the hostess. he gives his name curtly before following through the reserved section for them. there is a skyline & a view of tokyo bay at the distant. as tempting as having tokyo tower was satoru opted to be different.

he sits down, his own outfit a montone black with a turtleneck, trenchcoat, & a pair of black pants. satoru loved being dressed to impress along with his pair of prada loafers that pop up with the triangle insignia. he preferred subtleties & he was sure suguru would approve of a private night out. satoru hums in anticipation, a cheery timbre to his voice as he waits.

I love skyline views, so the first thing I did when I arrived in Tokyo was book it to the Andaz Hotel rooftop bar so I could get a good view of the city. As soon as I sat down on my couch, complete with blanket and pillows, @drdre & @snoopdogg’s Still D.R.E. came on, which might as well be my theme song. It was an amazing view, but I found an even better view on my way to the restroom, I saw a blocked off area with a view of Tokyo Tower, and had a staff member take my photo bc #justtouristthings. The food and drinks were great, the music was bumping, and the crowd sophisticated. Highly recommend and will be back. Trip in TOKYO, August 2020 - Andaz Tokyo, Day 2

What I'm looking forward to at a hotel is totally "breakfast". In my opinion, Andaz Tokyo's breakfast in particular is one of the best in Tokyo. It would have been buffet style, but due to COVID19, the buffet was cancelled at this time... It was served as a set menu.

やっぱり楽しみなのはホテルの朝ごはん。特に、Andaz Tokyoの朝ごはんは、都内のホテルの中でもBest of Bestだと思っています。本当ならブッフェスタイルなのですが、このタイミングではCOVID19のせいでブッフェは中止... セットメニューでの提供になっておりました。

朝ごはんは52FのAndaz Tavernでいただきます。すごーく大好きなマンゴージュースでお目覚め。

今回チョイスしたのは「洋食」のほう。サラダたっぷり、たまごやサーモンも。

ぜんぶのお皿がキラキラしておる〜♡

高いフロアで、窓側の席に座らせていただいたので、東京が眼下に... めちゃめちゃいい気分になる朝ごはんだなあw

あれば絶対頼む、やっぱりホテルの洋食朝ごはんといえば「エッグベネディクト」。こちらのものはクロワッサンに乗っているので、バターたっぷりさくさくパンにトロトロ卵とオランデーズソース。おいしい！

朝食をいただいたあとは、チェックアウトまでたっぷり時間があるので、プールに。こちらもCOVID19のせいで、1組1時間の予約制になっていました。

予約制なので、人も少ないし、ジャグジーもあるし、バスタブのあるシャワースペースもあるしでとても快適。

スパの受付兼ショップのこのインテリア、すごく好きなんだよな〜。大理石×黒×ウッド、本��にシックでオシャレ。

チェックアウトまでもう少し。最後は昨日買って食べきれなかったお惣菜と、残りのワインでしっぽりお部屋を楽しみます。24時間滞在プランなので、15:00ギリギリまで存分に楽しみました。

はー、やっぱりいいな、Andaz Tokyo。おいそれとは泊まれないところだからこそ、大満喫の1泊2日でした。

といいつつも、もうちょっと虎ノ門をエンジョイすべく、アペロ（夕方飲み）に繰り出します。

「渚のアフターヌーンティー」。酸のきいた白ワインと、ムール貝&オイスター&おつまみモリモリの大人のアフタヌーンティープレート。

牡蠣＆カニだよ🦀❤️

ウニのリゾットで幸せな週末の締めくくり。またいつか。
