Gattaca (1997)
Director - Andrew Niccol, Cinematography - Sławomir Idziak
"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."

There was this post that talked about how the sharing hair is a recurring symbol of trust throughout the movie and that, Jerome, at the end, does not give to Vincent just a strand but an entire lock—and, goddamn it, if that scene won't stay with me for a long time.
"I just lent you my body, you lent me your dream." The way I see it, Jerome simply didn't trust him, he believed in Vincent, knew he would reach the stars (even when Vincent himself doubted he could do it). And Vincent's dream had become his dream too, one he couldn't achieve, unlike Vincent. He trusted Vincent, and he also wanted to be there.
Giving him that last thing, telling Vincent he could only open it once he was up there; it all reduces to that. "I know you will succeed."
Their friendship, comradeship and bond was absolutely delightful to see. And I can't stop thinking about this movie and how sad I am that I don't get to see more posts about it.

Alternative film poster for Gattaca (USA, 1997), directed by Andrew Niccol. Discrimination is taken to the next level in this dystopian future where eugenics form the basis of society. A thought-provoking and timeless film that sets out to prove that will and determination outweigh expectations and fate. Memorable quote: “I belonged to a new underclass, no longer determined by social status or the color of your skin. No, we now have discrimination down to a science.” Designed by Sarah Schrauwen and Mathieu Vancamp of doublebill.design.

Amending my earlier post
Fitz and Olivia are super hypocritical by being upset about Andrew and Mellie. I understand Fitz is upset because his wife used to push him away and said shes not a sexual person buts he's the one who started having an affair. If he really felt guilty he wouldn't have continued having an affair in the first place. Olivia is upset because of the potential ramifications knowledge of the affair could cause which I understand
