If you raise animals ethically and you kill animals ethically, that animal is given the best life it could possibly live given the inevitability of it's death. Quick, as painless as possible and when young arguably creates less suffering than by reaching old age/dying of many of the natural causes they could die from. How is this not an arguable point? The animal WILL die. The only other thing that contributes less to the amount of suffering accrued in an animal's life is if the animal were to not exist at all.

Betta fish are individuals, but they're treated like merchandise by large pet chains.

Why do stores like PetSmart claim pets are family and say that they'll do anything for pets when they regularly have shelves of neglected and sick pets at their stores?

It's not the fault of employees -- this is a pattern. It's a result of these companies not prioritizing the well-being of fish and wanting to spend as little money as possible so they can maximize their own profits.

Odie - He’s my two year chihuahua dachshund mix. He’s a silly little man. He’s the most hyper dog I have ever met. Sometimes I don’t think he’s got anything but “run run run” going thru his noggin lol.

Gypsy - She is my 12 year old Pitbull Chow mix. I adopt her from my local shelter almost two years ago. She is my best friend. She was diagnosed with Sundowners a little while back and we currently have her on medication to keep her comfortable.

Oreo - She is my 12 year old black & white girl. I’ve had her since she fit in the palm of my hand. She’s the spiciest of my three feline girls. She likes to bully poor Gypsy from time to time. Even tho she is a spicy girl majority of the time she does have a sweet side to her as well!

Ella - She’s my middle baby, coming in at 8 years old. I got her from my moms friend when she had to unfortunately rehome her cats. Ella had a sad start in life. She was thrown out of a truck on a highway in front of my mom’s friends daughter. Luckily they took her in. After I had had her for a few months she started to limp really really bad. I was young and didn’t have a job so I used all my birthday money to take her to the vet. Well when she was thrown out of the truck as a kitten it had broke her hip. It had cartilage grown around the broke bone. The vet gave her pain medicine and told me either she would adapt or we’d have to amputate her leg. Luckily she adapted. She is the sweetest and most loving kitty. Just every couple of years her broke hip starts to hurt and we have to get more medicine for her.

Donna - My youngest baby, she is 2-3 years old. I volunteer at the shelter her and Gypsy both come from. When I met Donna she was in rough shape. I thought she was going to die… she had to have surgery to removed almost all of her teeth and medicine for an abscess on her tongue. I decided to foster her before her surgery and after so she could heal. Well I couldn’t stand the thought of taking her back to the shelter, so the same day I picked her up after surgery I went and adopted her! She is spunky and playful and I love her so much🖤

My Name is Nala

Around 2018 I was adopted and taken to what I thought would have been my forever home. I was new to him and he was new to me. My owner worked two jobs to provide for us. coming from the shelter, being alone in my new home for hours on end made me feel as if I never left.

During my time with my owner I had done little things here and there; went on walks, had a snow day, partied with many nice people and even a road trip... but it wasn't how I thought life would be. Sadly , I was attacked before by a smaller dog, that incident gave my owner and I quite a scare. so much so that I fed off of his energy whenever it was time to potty. I became a bit anxious, and sometimes I would get the shakes.

As time went on we moved somewhere new, even though I was full of energy with a new place to explore I would still shake a little. Maybe it was just my nerves. I saw my owner bring so many cool new things into our home. Most times I wasn't allowed to investigate, I only wanted a quick sniff. With his constant harsh tone, I backed off.

According to my owner, sometimes my shakes were so bad that I would seize in my sleep, but I don't recall going to a special person to figure out what was wrong. I was just pricked with a needle, they took some stuff out of me and gave me a special pill to try and make it stop... but I hated it.

My owner claims that he doesn't have enough to get me special help, only the pills. he keeps bringing home new stuff so maybe there is enough for me?. Maybe, something could be done to find someone who could help me get what I need if things are so bad?. Maybe I can get a different home with a new person and lots a love. People were always my favorite

My owner doesn't think that someone would want me or could help because he claims my anxiety and shakes are so bad. He feels his only option is to have me put to rest. I don't want to go to sleep yet, I don't want to cross that bridge too soon.

YELLVILLE, ARKANSAS -- The annual local thanksgiving celebration of Live Turkeys was its nationwide concern in a small town of Yellville, Arkansas, United States of America (U.S.A.).

United Poultry Concerns and NBC KY3-TV reports from the said article, Turkeys bred specifically for industrial breast meat production can’t fly due to their abnormal weight and related problems of physical disproportion and cardiopulmonary weakness, but they don’t appear to be the kinds of birds traditionally thrown out of airplanes the said small town. Such turkeys would crash to the ground like a wingless creature and killed themselves altogether in free fall for a poultry of suicidal crime. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) says they will not intervene since the turkeys aren't seriously injured and it doesn't pose a risk to the people of Yellville town.

Masterson & BN_King (Martinez) was seriously alarmed in Fibbage 4 despite for a permanent cancellation of Thanksgiving as ordered with PETA for a total festival ban.

The National Congress, including the American President named Joe Robinette Biden Jr. is up to speed for PETA in order to halt all of the animal cruelty with its nationwide concern of Arkansas.

Something you start noticing is that people who hold delusional or "incoherent" beliefs have reasons for believing them that you might understand. There's this idea that delusional people or people who otherwise hold "out-there" views just... come up with them on a whim, but that isn't always the case. I find that when people start assuming that delusional beliefs come from nowhere, they think that they're really easy to just "snap out of," and it doesn't work like that.

You might not understand why somebody believes in something, but knowing that it is for a reason can remind you that they aren't being antagonistic. There is already a lot going on. The least you can do is understand where the person is coming from and offer compassion, not judgment.

The Bowmouth Guitarfish is so called, because of its distinctive body shape. Although its large dorsal fins and strong tail make it look like a shark, it is in fact a type of ray. It is also a strong swimmer that propels itself with its tail like a shark. It is more active at night and is not known to be territorial.
