I am not a shipper so I won't bother myself with the rest of the narratives about whether they are close or not, or whatever.

I don't see the need for unnecessary narratives/projections about their bond.

Whether they see each other often or not, shouldn't matter to fans unless they are obsessive shippers.

To settle the issue: No, Jimin did NOT ask him to stay. Let’s all agree on this and this only. Jimin DID NOT ask Jungkook to stay.

In some anons’ defense, it could be a translating issue or a genuine misunderstanding. I’m not of the mind that people making mountains of molehills are automatically secret Tkkrs.
