some cringe thoughts on the way Donnie is written in rottmnt <3

aaaahhhh the way neurodivergence is portrayed in rottmnt means so much to me, like I'm not even joking. I'm going to use Donnie as an example here(although I firmly believe that not a single one of the turtles is neurotypical lmao). The way he is allowed to just exist as his weird ass(affectionate) autistic self without being judged by other characters or used as the butt of joke is so fucking refreshing. like now that I think about it, autistic or autistic coded characters being treated like that is probably part of why I felt it necessary to mask so much as a little kid. But Donnie is allowed to just exist without judgement in a way I wish I was comfortable and able to do full time. I find it comforting to see characters like me be treated with just as much respect and humanity as any other character when often in reality and is shows they are not treated like that. I dunno it's just cool to see myself represented like that, it's a good reminder that I am also allowed to exist without having to appeal to the neurotypicals :P

I know I mostly upload Mélusine pics, but I wanted to take a break and present an anthropomorphic-inspired aquatic creature. Specifically, a leatherback sea turtle (or Dermochelys Coriacea, as its scientific name goes).

As you probably guessed, their shells aren't tough (as you'd expect from typical turtles) but soft, made of leather and fat. While this makes them vulnerable to predators, it also gave them the advantage to swim faster, reaching 35 klm/hour.

They are the largest species of sea turtles, their length reaching 1,80 - 2,20 cm and they can live approximately from 50 - 100 years.

Also, tell me which hairstyle you prefer! Please, I am in desperate need.
