What do you think of Chizuru?

I like her. I think she was only less important than Keigo and Mizuiro because she was Orihime’s friend instead of Ichigo’s, especially since she was able to wake up, then stand up and run away from Aizen despite not having spent nearly as much time around Ichigo as Tatsuki and the boys did. I wish we’d gotten at least a brief glimpse of her and Orihime’s other friends (Ryō, Mahana, & Ogawa) in the Fullbring and Blood War Arcs.

Less nice answer under ReadMore, but basically: I like Chizuru, but I really wish Kubo had handled her better.

I like Chizuru well enough for what she is - a comedic side character. The thing is though, Chizuru is not just a comedic side character. She’s also the only canon queer character in the manga, and her queerness is part of the joke. She’s Kon if he were a female human high schooler. Like Kon, too much of Chizuru’s character revolves around her being a pervert, to the point that is overshadows her other traits. There’s even a scene where one of the other girls (Mahana I think, but it might have been Ogawa) says she refuses to be alone with Chizuru because “who knows what you’d do” - and that’s supposed to be a joke.
