part 2 part 3
Your powers emerged early. Six years old to be exact. You shut down half of Queens power with the discovery of it. Your dad didn’t know what to do, so he turned you over to SHIELD.
Nick Fury became your legal guardian. He was pretty cool. He seemed like a super strict, intimidating guy when you met him. I mean, you would too if you were in charge of a government organization. But again, he was cool.
He helped you get ahold of your powers. After about two years you stopped accidentally shocking people and causing their hair to go static when you walked by. You became the youngest agent of SHIELD, helping with more and more as you got older. You were young but you were strong. Maybe not the best argument to let a kid fight a grown ups battles, but someone had to do it.
11 years later (technically 16 but you had been dusted, along with your adoptive father), you found yourself in a hotel in Europe, looking for a certain spider-boy you had met several times before, but never had the time to get to know.
Unfortunately, this was not the time to either. You had a mission given to you by Fury. You walked past each room, counting the numbers until you reached Peter’s room. You knocked on it and waited about 10 seconds. Someone opened the door slightly, and it wasn’t Peter.
“Hey, uh, who are you?” The short kid asked.
“You must be Mr. Leeds,” you smiled, “I’m looking for Peter.” He stared at you for a second and shut the door. You raised your eyebrows and waited patiently. A minute later, there was a new person at the door.
“Hi, can I...help you?” He eyed you suspiciously. You tilted your head slightly and smirked.
“Matter of fact, yes, you can.” you replied. He looked lost. “My name is y/n. Y/N Fury.” His jaw dropped slightly. He opened the door up all the way.
“Um, come in.” He unblocked the doorway. After you stepped in, he shut the door and locked it. “Sorry I was like, ignoring Mr. Fury. I, uh, I can explain.”
“There’s no need, I really don’t care too much.” you took a look around his room. “My dad sent me here to retrieve you for an important mission.” He looked over at Ned. The only thing Ned did was give him a thumbs up.
“Well, I mean, I wish I could but...” Peter hesitated, “I got...school stuff.” Ned rolled his eyes.
“Peter, just go! I’ll cover for you.” Ned told him.
“I promise, it won’t take that long. Just come with me for a few hours and me and my dad will give you the run-down. Deal?” You stuck your hand out. Peter observerd your facial features for a moment, trying to make a decision and determine if you were lying or not.
“You look familiar, have we met?” He asked as he shook your hand.
“A couple times, not officially. You and I were both in Germany and at the ‘Battle of the Avengers Compound.’” You shrugged. “I usually wear a mask. And electricute the shit out of people.”
“Ohh, you’re Bolt? Wow, yeah, I knew I recognized you.” You nodded. He stared at you for another couple seconds.
“Okay, well, let’s get a move on.” You grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the room. “Nice meeting you, Leeds!”
———
You opened the car door for Peter and followed him in. “We’re going to my dad’s base. The ride shouldn’t be too long.”
“Okay, cool.” He messed with the buttons on his flannel shirt. “So, uh, you punched me in the face in Germany. A few times.” He said, looking down.
“I was following orders.” You chuckled.
“You follow orders a lot?” He looked back up at you.
“Only when I want to.” You smugly replied. Peter started to say something, but hesitated. You raised your eyebrows. “Got something else to say?”
“Did you know Mr. Stark?” He asked quietly. You looked out the window.
“Yeah, I knew Tony.” You turned back and gave him a weak smile. “He was like an uncle to me. I saw you at the funeral. I knew how much you meant to him, it broke my heart seeing that.”
“Does it get any easier from here?” He gulped.
“Peter, in this field of work, you lose a lot of people. It’s never easy, but soon you’ll learn to move on, but never forget. You honor them and live on.” You ran your fingers through your hair. Peter’s eyes were tearing up. You grabbed his hand. “Don’t worry, things will get better.”
The car came to a stop. “Have a nice day. M(s/r). Fury.” The driver told you.
“You too!” You opened the car door and let Peter out. “After you.” He stepped out.
“Thanks.”
“You ready?”
“Nope.”
