How would a Tanzanite look like

I recently finished my Zoisite concepts so guess it's time for a share!

Saualpite (being another name for Zoisite), Anyolite (or Ruby Zoisite), Thulite and Tanzanite.

Zoisites are in charge of keeping the water clean, refreshed and aromatized. They make sure everything is organized and in order.

They have a special permufed water as power, very strong use as a slight poison to make gems dizzy as self defense.

Ruby Zoisite Jewellery Set

This necklace features a ruby zoisite stone as the centrepiece. Ruby zoisite is an unusual stone from Tanzania, Africa, which features ruby crystals (red) surrounded by green zoisite stone and flecked with black hornblende mineral. This multicoloured stone is also called anyolite. The rest of the set is inspired by this striking combination of black, green, and red. Gemuary 2023 Day 19: Zoisite

Zoisite comes in many different varieties, like the pink thulite, rare blue tanzanite, and green anyolite, one of my personal favorites, which frequently contains these sweet ruby inclusions. I always thought anyolite looked like the flesh of a ghoul. This one is also based on kintsugi, the art of repairing broken bwls and stones with gold-dusted lacquer.

#hermitcraft recap #gemcyt #pixlriffs #sloyxp #zloyxp #lyarrah #whyy did i decide to make all three of them gems that didn't actually appear in the show lol #i just based their designs on vaguely similar ones #pix is heavily based on zircons and to an extent the rutile twins #sloy is based on a jade bc for the first few iterations i had him *as* a jade but unakite fit the color scheme better #as well as jasper #and the gem-being-the-top-of-the-tie thing comes from the zircons as well #and lyarrah was one of the more interesting ones in terms of inspo bc the thing is. #IRL anyolite is just a less-often used name for a mix of ruby and zoisite #so i couldn't decide whether or not anyolite could only be a fusion #but the fusion of ruby and zoisite would definitely be an anyolite #and we know from garnet and the homeworld garnets that fusions look similar to the standalone gems of the same type #SO ly's design is largely based on garnet and rhodonite #(both fusions involving a ruby and 1 other gem) #whether this particular anyolite is a fusion or not is kinda open to interpretation #if she is then the zoisite gem is on the back of her neck and it's covered by her hair #i have seen variations that pix (and presumably the rest of the recap team) would be humans studying the gems #and as much as i love that idea i also want a team recap fusion so #gem designs :)

Dipping my toes back into gemcyt for a sec so I could do a real quick sketch for a Fairy Fort fusion

I was going also going to do a Shadow Alliance fusion (Lizzie, Ren, BigB, and Martyn) to go with it, but perhaps another day 👀

General Story/Design Ideas Under the Cut:

This place is then known as: The Fairy Circle [The Garden]

Design:

It was really hard finding a stone that I thought would fit. I eventually found the anyolite (ruby in zoisite) and decided to remove the ruby. Originally, their color palette was leaning more Alexandrite, but that's already a fusion in SU canon and I don't want to mess with that too much.

Overall, I was thinking along the lines of a fairy knight, a forest guardian of sorts. The cape and fur collar are meant to resemble a moth and the horns from Cleo are formed to look closer to antlers.

Story:

After the events of pseudo-3rd Life, Lizzie, Ren, BigB, and Cleo find themselves separated from the other gems and are unable to reconnect. Finding it more safe for themselves to stay put and wait for an eventual rescue, they create a sort of safe haven/nature reserve where they spend most of their time generally tending to the wildlife.

During their time in the Garden, Lizzie and Ren learned to better understand each other and began to grow closer. From their disdain of the other Diamonds and the structure of Homeworld to their respective missing halves, the Garden has done wonders in allowing them to see eye to eye. Accompanying their respect for each other is a fondness that wasn't quite there before, as their bond has led to an almost codependent friendship.

On the other end, Cleo and BigB are just generally polite with one another and are mostly amicable. They understand that they must all stick together if they are to find their lost companions, but neither have particularly latched onto the other with that same desperation that Lizzie and Ren have.

Something or other happens (most likely an argument where Cleo wants to leave and conduct a search of her own and the others don't) and BigB ends up poofing Cleo. Her gem is damaged heavily in the altercation and when she reforms, she is furious. The betrayal leads to Cleo essentially destroying The Garden and leaving on her own to find the others.

I was looking at a necklace yesterday because it was green  -not neon green though- but it was dark green with some pink in it (the seller said it's anyolite)

And I looked at it, then at my friend with a smile. The seller went on and on about the rock meanwhile we where there like:

-And it has some pink in it as well! The dancers! It's not neon green but I don't feel like neon green would suit me, so, this green is fine too, right?

-Neon green would suit you, why not?

Later my friend said: "You wouldn't get it" to one of our friends and he said

"Eisy is talking about her pistachio green guy again, what's not to get? She shared more than 20 pictures of that guy on our group chat. Our group chat's profile picture is that guy!"

The fact that he refers to Jere as "pistachio green guy" or simply just "pistachio green" makes me laugh 😂 Or the amount of time we yelled "It's crazy, it's paaarty"

I went full "no one talks about the politics and election today! No sadness, no stress, only cha cha cha today!" and I'm happy about it.

His existence -along with dear Dylan Moran of course- helps me a lot these days and I feel grateful. Even my friends noticed that I look happier these days despite everything.

Anyway, I love him and I won't be surprised if I find myself writing a poem about him soon...😂💚💚💚

A metamorphic rock consisting of intergrown green Zoisite with black - dark green Pargasite found mostly in Tanzania and Austria.

Sometimes this stone includes ruby components.

The color makes it a popular stone for carving and polishing.

Hi there. I just saw that you help with fusion concepts. I have an au I've been working on, but I'm struggling with figuring gems for certain fusions. These are the main offenders: Malachite/Blue Pearl, Yellow Diamond/Malachite, Malachite/Rose Quartz, and Ocean Jasper/Orange Spodumene. You don't have to do all of them or alot. I just would love input if you're still doing these

For once, I found an use for different gem names! My use is:

Zoisite Ruby is a regular looking ruby, but green. Canon with green spots that's it

Anyolite (also called Ruby Zoisite) is my concept for the Zoisite line who are completely different gems. Other Zoisites being Tanzanite and Thulite
