It’s a beautiful, sunny, Southern California day on the trail, so let’s explore this breathtakingly beautiful, high altitude section of the pct. Located just north of the 100 mile trail marker, Barrel Springs trailhead is located in Ranchita, next to the Borrego Montezuma highway that runs from the historic Warner Springs Ranch down to the low desert oasis village of Borrego Springs.
