AoFN1 // Learn to Knock

Summary: 

Follow this group of friends as they navigate how to all live on the same floor. There will be pranks, study sessions, bad decisions, lots of coffee and anything else you could expect to see when an entire friend group lives in the same apartment building. 

A/N: I’m so excited to finally be able to post this! I’ve been working on it for a few weeks and it’s time! New chapters will be posted every Saturday. All chapters are connected but you won’t have to read them in order!

Series Masterlist

Setting down the last box you had, you took a look at the mess that surrounded you, sighing before moving around everything, deciding it was time to take a break and go check on your roommates. 

You, Wanda and Nat had managed to convince another set of roommates to switch floors with you guys. The three of you were the last in the friend group to secure their floor nine apartment. Tony and Pepper had found the building first, and when the apartments surrounding them slowly came up to rent, their friends began filling the empty places. Fate worked in their favor, the whole group had managed to talk their way into getting their apartment of choice.

With you and the girls in 902; Bucky, Steve and Sam had snagged 901 across the hall. 

Tony, Pepper and Rhodey were next to the boys in 903; Bruce and Thor were next to them in 905. 

Across the hall from them were Loki and Peter in 906, and in between the younger boys and the girls, was Clint, Vision and Pietro in 904.

When you walked into the living room, you saw Nat laying on the couch, a half unpacked box sitting next to her, random items littering the floor around her.

“You look like you’re dead.” You said to her, as you walked over and picked her feet up off the couch, sitting where they were before and letting her legs rest on your lap.

“I always forget how time consuming un-packing is. I think it’s time I become a minimalist.” Nat groaned into her arm. You laughed at her comment, before grabbing your phone out of your pocket.

You sent a quick text to Wanda asking where she was and she responded almost instantly saying she was with her brother. Which didn’t surprise you, not only is her brother there, but her boyfriend. You had no doubt that Wanda would spend more time in 904 than her own apartment.

The two of you sat on your couch for a while, nothing being said as you played a random game on your phone and Nat just laid there. Almost 15 minutes had passed when the sound of your door opening startled the two of you, Nat rolled off the couch in surprise while you attempted to hold onto her ankle.

Looking at your intruder, you were met with Steve and Bucky, with Sam standing off to the side, grinning mischievously at you. Rolling your eyes with a laugh, you bent over and grabbed Nat’s hand, pulling her toward you, helping her get to her knees before she stood up. She made her way to Steve and Bucky and looked at them before smacking both of them on the arm.

“You guys need to learn how to knock.” 

“I know how… it was just funnier to scare you guys.” Bucky said with a chuckle, walking into the living room and taking a seat on the couch next to you. He put his arm on the back of the couch next to you, and you tried to give him a stern look but when you looked at him, you couldn’t help the smile on your face. Steve and Sam had began talking to Nat about a class they shared as they walked past you guys

You shook your head before laying your head against his arm, Bucky moving his hand onto your shoulder so he could pull you closer.

With the sounds of Nat and Steve talking in the kitchen, you sent a quick text to the rest of your friends, letting them know the boys had joined you, and you were going to order some take out.

As you sat with Bucky, your friends slowly drifted into your apartment. Peter and Loki had Bruce and Thor push them in their desk chairs and Tony and Pepper followed them in. As the rest of them made their way in, you placed an order for some Chinese.

Looking around at your friends, you smiled, seeing them laugh and joke around. You were glad everyone had managed to move in and get settled. You just knew- there were about to be some crazy times on Floor Nine.
